Everything you need to know about the St. Louis Pokémon Go Safari Zone

After all of the Pokémon Go Safari Zones were canceled in 2020, trainers in the St. Louis area get to partake in their festivities this weekend. Those who have tickets will be able to experience the event in person, while those who didn’t RSVP will get to experience it from the comfort of their homes.

Those who are looking to participate but didn’t originally buy a ticket in 2020 are out of luck. No new tickets were sold for any of the global events to maintain a safe social distance. But those who did buy a ticket in 2020 can attend the event, assuming they have RSVP’d.

Those who play from home will have the same rare Pokémon spawns and the same in-game perks as every other player, much like the online Go Fest and the online make-up event in 2020 for trainers who didn’t refund their Safari Zone tickets.

Here’s everything you need to know about the St. Louis Pokémon Go Safari Zone.

How to RSVP for St. Louis Pokémon Go Safari Zone

Trainers should have received an email in their inboxes about how to RSVP for the event day they are scheduled for. A lot of trainers have been reporting that they haven’t received the email, but many are having success registering for their event by contacting the in-app support.

Those who didn’t know how to RSVP and were looking to do so just a day or so before the event even had some luck getting their RSVP code. Although there’s no official cutoff time to RSVP, it’s likely that it can be done anytime before the event, as long as the code is activated.

Where is the Pokémon Go Safari Zone held in St. Louis?

The event in St. Louis is being held at Tower Grove Park, which is located at 4257 Northeast Drive. There are two entrances, the east and west entrance. Although it’s recommended that you start at the entrance indicated on your ticket, there’s no difference in experience by starting at one or the other.

The east entrance is located at 2840-2836 South Grand Boulevard, which is the intersection of Grand Boulevard and Main Drive. The west entrance is on Main Drive by the Festival of Nations.

Start times are also indicated on your ticket and will designate whether the event spawns will start for you at 9am or 11am CT. Trainers can show up whenever they like, but their game won’t reflect the event until the start time indicated on the ticket.

What Pokémon are spawning at the St. Louis Safari Zone?

There’s a diverse selection of Pokémon to catch at the St. Louis event—and many of them rarely spawn in the wild. The list of Pokémon that will be spawning at the event are listed below and are marked with an asterisk if they can be caught as a shiny version.

What else is there to do at Pokémon Go Safari Zone St. Louis?

In addition to themed event Pokémon spawning in the wild, there are some Special Research and Field Research, additional PokéStops at the in-person location, and special two-kilometer eggs. Incense will last eight hours, while Lures will last four hours.

There will also be a cashless merchandise tent where fans can get their hands on Pokémon merch and there will be some fun photo opportunities around the park. Those who attend the in-person event will get a rare Pokémon TCG promo card too, which includes a code that unlocks additional Special Research from Professor Willow.

Pokemon Go Safari Zone is returning in 2022, in Seville Spain as its first destination. Back in 2020 and 2021, Pokemon Go Safari Zone took place in St. Louis as well as Philadelphia in USA, also in Liverpool, United Kingdom. The Pokemon event will kick off earlier than expected. There is currently only one Safari Zone for Pokemon Go scheduled for this year. However, they might add more in the future as we expect the event to have multiple instances, especially for players in other regions. Here are a few details on where, when and how to buy tickets for the upcoming event . 

The Pokemon Go Safari Zone event will be on a Friday, May 13, 2022, until Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Parque del Alamillo, Seville. This will be Spain’s first-ever Safari Zone event for Pokemon Go trainers. The event goers will be able to encounter Pokemon that embody the spirit of Seville’s fabled founder: Hercules, according to the Pokemon Go team. 

Tickets are also available for purchase in this website for a total amount of €21 (including applicable taxes and fees) for General-admission. They will be granted gameplay from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM on the said event dates. Trainers also have an option to purchase early-access tickets, amounting to €26 (including applicable taxes and fees). They will have an additional time of 3 hours, starting at 9 AM in the morning until 6:00 PM. There are only a limited amount of tickets so be sure to check it out immediately. You will see if Tickets are still available on the website next to Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Seville event ticket. Tickets will be on a first come, first served basis so get yours early while you still can.

The Pokemon Go Safari Zone event also offers trainers various activities they can enjoy the entire weekend. They usually include a Special Research quest as well as, of course, boosted Pokemon spawns that only event goers have access to. Trainers will also get to know other Pokemon Go fans across the globe, going to Seville to attend the event.

Special Pokémon will appear across Barcelona during the event! Plus, for the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Skiddo, the Mount Pokémon! Skiddo will currently only appear during Pokémon GO City Safari 2023 events but may appear worldwide at a later date.

The following Pokémon will hatch from Eggs during the event!

Tip: You can upgrade your ticket with the Egg-thusiast add-on to unlock a 1/2 Hatch Distance bonus during the event! Ticket add-ons are active for both the Saturday and Sunday of Pokémon GO City Safari: Barcelona.

Embark on an Eevee Explorers Expedition!

Don’t know where to start your adventure? With an entire city to explore, the Eevee Explorers Timed Research experience can help you set off on an exciting tour of notable locations, landmarks, and even some local favorite spots!

Visit locations across the city to complete this event-exclusive Timed Research, which awards an additional encounter with Eevee wearing an explorer hat at each location you visit!*

*Ticket holders can receive up to eight encounters with Eevee wearing an explorer hat as a part of the Eevee Explorers Timed Research in addition to the Eevee wearing an explorer hat received as a part of the event Special Research. Trainers who purchase the second day add-on can complete the Timed Research a second time for an additional eight encounters with Eevee wearing an explorer hat.

An interactive event map is now available via Campfire! Tap the Campfire button in the upper-right side of the map to view. You can even preview event locations—plan your path in advance and make the most out of your day!

Ticket Holder bonuses

Ticket-holding Trainers will receive the following bonuses and rewards between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., anywhere in Barcelona on their ticketed day!

In-person locations

In addition to the city-wide gameplay, where you can explore Barcelona’s stunning sights and landmarks, there will be two real-life touchpoints: Westfield Glòries and Westfield La Maquinista! Stop by during your adventure while playing and trading with fellow Trainers. It’s easy to walk between the two locations — and you never know who you might encounter along the way!

Westfield Glòries

Love the beach? You’ll feel right at home exploring Santa Martí, Barcelona’s largest coastal neighbourhood. Stroll along the seafront promenade, check out some epic street art and join us at Westfield Glòries! Here you can enjoy event decorations, grab some giveaways and snap a memory shot at one of our photo opportunities.

Westfield La Maquinista

Head to the beautiful district of Sant Andreu de Palomar, where you’ll discover more of Barcelona’s famous Gothic architecture! Pikachu and Eevee will also be there enjoying the sights, so make sure you stop by Westfield La Maquinista and say hello to some of your favourite Pokémon at the official Pikachu and Eevee Meet & Greet.

To begin your Pokémon GO City Safari: Barcelona experience, the event gameplay will automatically start on the time and day specified on your ticket. No wristbands or physical tickets will be distributed for this event. There will not be Wi-Fi available at the event. Please note: only Trainers with a valid event ticket for the applicable day will be able to see the special event gameplay.
