Getting to UCSC
Getting to Santa Cruz is easy, but once on campus, it can be a little confusing navigating the interior and exterior roads.
Two Entrances to Campus
There are two entrances to campus (East/Main and West). Use the WEST ENTRANCE to get to Porter College where the conference is. Once you enter the West Entrance, you will see signs directing you to the conference.
Use the EAST/MAIN ENTRANCE to pick up reciprocal parking passes or pay for a parking permit on Monday or Tuesday morning.

Directions to Santa Cruz
From Southern and Central California: Take Route 101 north to Route 156 west to Route 1 north. Then follow Route 1 north to Santa Cruz.
From Northern California: Take Route 5 south to Route 80 west to Route 680 south to Route 280 north. Then take Highway 17 south to Route 1 north to Santa Cruz.
From San Francisco Airport: Take Route 101 south to Route 85 south to Highway 17 south to Route 1 north to Santa Cruz.
From San Jose Airport: Take Route 880 south to Highway 17 south to Route 1 north to Santa Cruz.
From Monterey Airport: Take Route 1 north to Santa Cruz.
Directions to Campus - Address 1156 High St. Santa Cruz, CA 95064
Once you're in Santa Cruz on Route 1 north, follow the highway as it becomes Mission Street through town. Then turn right on Bay Street and follow it to the main campus entrance, which is the East/Main entrance to campus on the corner of Bay and High.

Student-led Campus Tour
Location: Departs from Humanities Lecture Hall Join us for this small-group, interactive experience! Visit iconic UCSC locations such as Quarry Plaza, Science Hill, Kresge College, and the Porter Squiggle (hint: have your phone ready to take selfies!) You will be walking around the campus in your group, so be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. Also, the beautiful weather in Santa Cruz ranges from cool and foggy to sunny and warm in a single day, so we recommend that you dress in layers.
BBQ with Sammy the Slug
Location: Oakes Lower Lawn After working up an appetite on your Student-led Tour, it will be time to sit, relax, and enjoy a barbecue lunch on us! Hosted roundtables will facilitate everyone’s getting to know each other, and we will be offering a variety of tasty lunch options.

Location: Oakes Lower Lawn Is there tutoring available on campus? What about mental health services? How can you build community with your fellow Banana Slugs? The J & K Buildings consist of 42 three-person apartments and are located just below Kresge Proper in the J & K apartments area between Porter and Kresge Colleges.
Apartment Furnishings:
All apartments at Kresge come furnished. The kitchens are equipped with a stove, refrigerator(s) and trash and recycling containers. In the bedrooms, each resident is furnished with a bed, mattress, dresser, chair, and desk. The living room has a couch, loveseat, coffee table, and end tables. The eating and dining area has a table and set of chairs. The apartments also include wall-to-wall carpets, lamps, window treatments, vacuum, and mop & bucket.
