Princess cays dune buggy

I see princess offers dune buggy tours for princess cays, but carnival doesn’t. I’ve checked several shore excursion sites but since it’s a private island I’m not finding much. We were hoping to see the Eleuthera side and the pink hued sands. Any tips?

We did some small excursion at princess cay last year, the bike ride thing...

I read multiple reviews on the dune buggy rides and nobody was impressed. Sounds like old golf carts you ride on.

Thanks, maybe we just need to plan on being at the beach.

The bike ride was like 45 mins and you got to see some different sites and a rock beach that was neat. Otherwise the regular beach was nice had alot of chairs and some shops.

The pink sand appears to be on the opposite side from port so I was just reading that a dune buggy was one way to see that. Someone else said you could rent a golf cart.

Wild Dune Buggy Ride

We booked this excursion through our Princess Cruise. First, let me say that I was super excited to go on this tour. However, shortly after starting, I was disappointed. There is no safety demonstration, other than "helmets are provided" and "there will be a leader, a follower, and someone that drives on the side sometimes" (to make sure no one gets lost). No practice driving, no instructions, no rules. That made me nervous! There were seatbelts, sort of. More like a harness that went over your chest, not lap. Mine was too loose and I could not figure out how to tighten it. They never came around to check, either. Just get in and go; that's it! From there, it was follow the leader. Now, onto the ride. Warning: It was VERY bumpy. When they say no one with back/ heart problems should go...they mean it! The buggy was hard to steer and I felt like the breaks we're not great. That aside, the VIEWS! WOW is all I can say. You go to an old lighthouse and a beautiful beach (there is a small, uphill hike involved). I have never seen such a beautiful beach. Crystal clear blue water, they say pink (I didn't see pink) sand, and small hills/rocks all around. Well worth the bumpy...and muddy ride! While I personally would not do this excursion again, I would recommend it to adventure seekers. Just be prepared for a bumpy, muddy ride with no safety instructions.

Our cruise ship stopped here for the day. Beach was rocky and water was beautiful. Beaches had some beach erosion probably from the hurricanes. But it surely is a beautiful stop.

princess cays dune buggy excursion

the glass bottom boat tour makes for an interesting ride the guides are knowledgeable and they make the tour interesting the rest of the visit is just relaxing and the food as always is great

I read a lot of negative reviews about this location but although the water is rocky when you first get in, it's fine as you go further out and water shoes resolve that problem! Upon a walk away from the beach chair area, you'll find a ton of wildlife and amazing snorkeling on down from the main areas! I love Princess Cay and would definitely go back!

After boarding the Regal Princess cruise ship in Fort Lauderdale this was our first port of call and we eagerly went on the shore excursion. We walked around on the clean sandy beaches, visited the souvenir shops and then had lunch and drinks on the island. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

Day trip off Carnival Elation. Small, walkable island. Lunch provided/included. Carnival owns this island. Shore excursions plenty, but overpriced. Snorkeling full day rental $20 but not all that much to see. Maybe better off doing a tour to a specific reef? Friendly staff/locals, not aggressive and not annoying. Kayak rentals $20-30 for one hour. Some souvenir shops. One volleyball court, one basketball court. Nice/simple place to chill, listen to music and catch some rays.

The Moscow metro now has a full 4G coverage

  • On 19 Oct 2018

The Tele2 mobile network company became the first to build an infrastructure for 100% stations of the Moscow's metro. The high-quality 4G internet is now available on all 259 stations of the Moscow's metro, Moscow Central Circle (MCC) and monorail.

The operator has secured a 100% 4G indoor-coverage internet an all stations of the metropolitan metro, including the passageways, pavilions, and stairways. The investments into the project have exceeded 800 million rubles.

The Moscow underground is a specific infrastructure object, which has its own particularities. All works on designing, installation, and adjustment of the hardware should have been conducted exceptionally during night hours when the metro is closed for entry. A sufficient number of stations have a status of cultural heritage, thus, the network development has required additional approvement from the Department of Cultural Heritage of Moscow.

The network coverage within the metro system opens new horizons for the analysis of the "big data". Tele2 Network has analyzed the users' activity during the summer months and has indicated the busiest metro lines, which were: Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya, Zamoskvoretskaya and Kaluga-Riga lines. During the summer months, on the stations of Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya lines the subscribers have downloaded 125 TByte of internet-traffic, have made over 2 million calls with the total duration of 27 thousand hours, which equals to 3 years.

Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos

Description.

Grand Turk, the capital of the Turks and Caicos Islands, is a small island bursting with turn-of-the-century Caribbean charm, retaining the look and feel of the Caribbean 40 years ago. Grand Turk was founded by Bermudan salt rakers some three centuries ago and its Bermudan-British-colonial architecture surrounded by colorful local dwellings make the island a treasure to visit. It is recognized as being one of the first places in the New World where Christopher Columbus landed and also gained worldwide attention when John Glenn splashed down near Grand Turk on his historic first mission to space. Grand Turk is six miles long and just over a mile wide with a population of only 6,000. It is blessed with miles of uncrowded, beautiful beaches and is close to several uninhabited cays such as Gibb's Cay, home of the stingray encounter. While there are many landside attractions to explore such as the Old Prison, Lighthouse Park, and the re-created salt salina, the real beauty of the island lies underwater. Grand Turk is world-famous for its healthy and beautiful coral reefs that surround the island, stretching almost from the coastline to the 7,000-foot vertical wall just offshore.

More about Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos Points of Interest

Historic 18th-and 19th-century Bermudian architecture lines the long, narrow streets of Cockburn Town, the administrative capital of Turks and Caicos.

The museum, located in one of the oldest stone buildings on the islands, chronicles Grand Turk's history from 700 A.D. to modern times and features artifacts from the Molasses Reef wreck.

More than 150 years ago, this lighthouse was brought from the U.K. to help halt shipwrecks on Grand Turk's reefs. Today, it's a prized historic site, protected by the National Trust.

The unspoiled, uninhabited island of Gibb's Cay is located about a mile from Grand Turk. A luxurious white-sand beach and fascinating snorkeling make this a favorite among visitors.

Enjoy one of Grand Turks' beautiful beaches.

The crystal-clear waters and underwater visibility are trademarks of Grand Turk.

Grand Turk offers horseback riding, biking, dune buggies, kayaking - and even a Flowrider® near the pier.
