2023-24 cib psa world championships to be held at national museum of egyptian civilization.

The 2023-24 CIB PSA World Championships will be held at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization and the Palm Hills Club when the sport’s most prestigious tournament returns to Cairo, Egypt between May 9-18, 2024.

A glass show court will be erected at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization from the third round onwards, with all matches from the opening two rounds and selected third round matches taking place at the Palm Hills Club located in 6th of October City, where a glass court will also be erected.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization also hosted the 2021-22 edition of the sport’s pinnacle event, with Egyptian World No.1s Ali Farag and Nour El Sherbini capturing their third and sixth World Championship titles, respectively.

“We are delighted to bring squash’s biggest event back to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, which is the latest iconic Egyptian landmark to host a professional squash tournament,” said PSA Chief Executive Alex Gough.

“I’d like to thank [CIB Chief Executive] Hussein Abaza and [Tournament Promoter] Karim Darwish for their support in putting on the event and I look forward to watching the world’s best players compete for the sport’s ultimate prize in May.”

Ticketing for the event will be free.

Action from the CIB PSA World Championships will be streamed live on  SQUASHTV , while the semi-finals and finals will be shown live by PSA’s  broadcast partners .

New Delhi, Apr 26 (PTI) Top-seeded Indian Velavan Senthilkumar eased past Frenchman Matteo Carrouget in straight games to move into the quarterfinals of the Batch Open squash, a USD 12,000 PSA Challenger Tour event in Paris.

National champion Senthilkumar, ranked 58th in the world, beat Carrouget 11-4 11-6 11-7 in 29 minutes in the second round on Thursday night after receiving a bye in the opening round.

He will meet fifth seed Jakub Solnicky of the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals.

Elsewhere, National Games women’s champion Akanksha Salunkhe advanced to the quarterfinals of the Expression St James Open, a USD 20,000 PSA Challenger Tour event in Springfield, US.

Fourth seed Salunkhe, ranked 70th in the world, beat Winifer Bonilla of Guatemala 11-8 11-2 11-9 in 25 minutes in the second round following a bye in the first.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone , Billie discusses her forthcoming song, "Lunch" -- which details her being intimate with another woman. She says she first began writing this track before doing anything with another girl ... but was able to finish it after one eye-opening encounter with a female.

She says ... "I've been in love with girls for my whole life, but I just didn't understand -- until, last year, I realized I wanted my face in a vagina."

Despite opening up about her sexuality now, Billie's kinda peeved by the way her coming out made headlines in the press. Remember, Billie blasted Variety at the end of last year for outing her in their cover story ... even though she sorta facilitated it at the time.

BE adds ... "I was never planning on talking about my sexuality ever, in a million years. It’s really frustrating to me that it came up."

Now that pandora's box has been opened , however ... Billie seems far more comfortable talking about sex, including the topic of masturbation. In the interview, BE confesses to pleasuring herself regularly in front of a mirror, stating it helps with her self-esteem.

She explained ... "Partly because it’s hot, but it also makes me have such a raw, deep connection to myself and my body, and have a love for my body that I have not really ever had."

Billie finishes off this train of thought by hammering the point home ... saying, "People should be jerking it, man. I can’t stress it enough, as somebody with extreme body issues and dysmorphia that I’ve had my entire life."
