15. Le Calife [$$$]

Le Calife is one of the best restaurants with a view of the Eiffel Tower.

Le Calife is one of the best restaurants with a view of the Eiffel Tower – Image Credit: Le Calife

If you thought that the Eiffel Tower view restaurants we’ve looked at already are impressive, wait till you go to Le Calife .

Rather than a traditional restaurant, this one is in fact a boat dinner cruise on the Seine, so instead of dining at a restaurant with Eiffel Tower views and later paying more for a Seine Cruise, you can have both at this restaurant.

After boarding the boat which exudes a charming ambiance all through, you’ll be taken on a 2-hour 3-course gastronomical journey where you’ll enjoy perfectly prepared French dishes as you take in stunning views.

Besides the Eiffel Tower, you’ll also be able to see other Parisian monuments like the Louvre museum , Notre Dame Cathedral, and finally the Eiffel Tower where you can see its shimmering lights up close. It will be like the Tower is putting on a private show for you.

From perfectly crafted meals, staff that pays attention to every little detail, to music playing in the background, and an ambiance that adds a touch of romance, Le Calife is truly one of the best Paris restaurants with a view of the Eiffel Tower.

And although I recommend going for dinner, they also offer lunch cruise meals and private occasions.

Plus, their menu is a bit more affordable compared to other Eiffel Tower view restaurants on the list, yet you’ll be able to enjoy the views regardless of where you sit since each table faces a window.

16. Perruche Restaurant [$$$]

Perruche Restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Paris with a view.

Located on top of Paris’ famous department store , Printemps Haussmann, Perruche is one of the best rooftop restaurants in Paris with Eiffel Tower views.

What makes this restaurant unique is that it’s decorated to look like a hanging garden creating both a charming and unique outlook.

On top of enjoying the views of the Eiffel Tower in the distance, you’ll be treated to a Provençal meal that both meat lovers and vegetarians can enjoy.

They also serve perfectly crafted cocktails at their bar area if you just want to enjoy a drink. This bar is actually one of the best rooftop bars in Paris .

17. La Terrasse at Hôtel Raphael [$$]

La Terrasse at Hôtel Raphaël Rooftop is one of the best rooftop bars in Paris.

Next on this list of restaurants with a view of the Eiffel Tower is none other than La Terrasse .

Perched on the rooftop of a 5-star hotel, Hotel Raphaël, this restaurant offers unparalleled views of the Eiffel Tower (and other landmarks like Arc de Triomphe ) in a garden-like setting.

While you don’t go here for a romantic dinner date (since I believe there are other restaurants on this list that are more suited for that), it’s the perfect place for a casual meal or drinks while admiring Paris’s skyline.

Unlike other restaurants with a view of the Eiffel Tower that open all year round, this one only opens from May to September when the weather is warm enough to enjoy the outdoor terrace.

But even during these months, if the weather is not great, the terrace can be closed off.

Girafe is located within the Cite de l’Architecture museum , steps away from the Eiffel Tower itself. Decked out in 1930s-esque decor and dazzling chandeliers, the outdoor terrace (closed during winter) offers fabulous unobstructed views of the tower. The menu is designed to impress; feel free to ask any of the friendly staff for a recommendation if you’re undecided. We recommend indulging in a decadent seafood meal, paired with a bottle of wine.

“We liked it so much we came back twice in 4 days! The restaurant has a beautiful view of the Eiffel through a big glass window and gardens, service has always been excellent, and food was excellent.”— cinnamocrunch

11. Le Jules Verne

Interior of Le Jules Verne restaurant in the Eiffel Tower in Paris

How about a slight change of scenery from within the Eiffel Tower itself? Located 410 feet above ground on the second floor of the tower, Le Jules Verne is helmed by the three-Michelin-starred chef, Frédéric Anton. A five- or seven-course menu is available on weekends, deliberately kept simple to complement the extravagant views. Remember to book early to get a window seat with the best views.

“The whole experience was lovely, you skipped the lines at the Eiffel at both the entrance to the tower and the lift to the top (saving probably an hour’s wait). The private lift ride to the top was amazing, watching Paris disappear beneath you and great service/explanations from the lift attendant. We were seated at the window and it was so romantic looking at the view of Paris. After lunch, you are allowed on the observations deck, breathing fresh air, very refreshing.”— leonl855

Bar le Perchoir

Bar le Perchoir

  • Bars and pubs
  • Saint-Ambroise

An enormously popular new bar in Menilmontant, opened on a huge rooftop with a 360 degree view of the capital. Despite ‘speakeasy’ pretentions (the street entrance is unmarked), the place is becoming a victim of its own success, with queues out of the front door to be endured before you take the lift to the 7th floor. But once you do make it up there, you’ll find a vast space surrounding a handsome bar, comfortable sofas strewn with cushions, colourful plants and scented herbs planted in pots around the seats or hung from railings. Watching he sunset over the Sacré-Coeur, glass in hand, under garlands of coloured lights, really is something special. On the menu, you could try the cocktail of the day (€12), a slightly pricy draught beer (€5 a half) or an imported bottled beer from places as far flung as Mexico and the Czech Republic. For wine, it’s cheaper to share a bottle – careful, the bill adds up quickly. Tapas is also on offer. For your best chance of getting a seat, come very early (5.30pm) or quite late (10pm) – or to be certain of that view, reserve a table in the restaurant, on the penultimate floor of the building.

Jules Verne

Jules Verne

  • Haute cuisine
  • Tour Eiffel

You have to have courage to take on an icon like the Eiffel Tower, but superchef and entrepreneur Alain Ducasse has done just that in taking over the Jules Verne, perched in its spectacular eyrie above the city. He has transformed the cuisine and brought in his favourite designer, Patrick Jouin. Meanwhile, Ducasse protégé Pascal Féraud updates French classics, combining all the grand ingredients you'd expect with light, modern textures and sauces. Try dishes like lamb with artichokes, turbot with champagne zabaglione, and a fabulous ruby grapefruit soufflé. Reserve well ahead, and come for lunch if you want to make the most of the views.

Le Saut du Loup

Le Saut du Loup

This is one of Time Out's 100 best bars in Paris. Click here to see the full list. Museums are usually daytime destinations, places of discovery that welcome their guests then politely expel them well before dusk. However the Saut du Loup, set inside the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, has made a concerted effort to reel in the Parigots after hours with a dapper restaurant, terrace views to die for over the Tuileries gardens, and a bar that’ll knock you up a cocktail or two before bedtime. You can always tell a good joint from the quality of its mojitos, and Le Saut du Loup’s version of the drink passes the test: not too sweet and not too sour; you get an initial slap from the rum and lime, before the fresh mint and sugar settle things down. Lush.

Le Georges

  • 4e arrondissement

When the Pompidou Centre closes at 9pm, those in the know head to the top floor via the transparent escalators to Georges, the museum’s panoramic French-fusion restaurant. From this privileged perch, you can watch the sun set over the capital’s steely rooftops and contemplate the art you’ve just admired, cocktail in hand. You’ll be fighting for table room with trendy after-work crowds, and the ice-cool service can be slower than an escargot, but it’s a small price to pay for such an unbeatable vantage over the whole sparkling city. The view isn’t the only draw either: architects Dominique Jacob and Brendan McFarlane's quirky industrial-chic interior wouldn’t look amiss in Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. Make sure you reserve in advance - it's the only way to secure a table.

Les Ombres

  • 7e arrondissement

The full-on view of the Eiffel Tower at night would be reason enough to come to this glass-and-iron restaurant on the top floor of the Musée du Quai Branly, but new chef Jean-François Oyon's food also demands that you sit up and take notice. Those without bottomless pockets should note that there is a reasonable prix fixe at lunch. Another option is to head to the newly opened terrace lounge bar, which offers a range of swish cocktails (€13) and posh nibbles to consume on one of its delightfully plush sofas. You'll feel like you've strolled into a postcard.

Le M.O.B.

This nod to the pro-vegan philosophy of 12th-century doctor Maimonides (hence Maimonides of Brooklyn) is the perfect place stock up on vegan 'fast food', though we’re still not sure that meatless nuggets were part of 12th-century cuisine. Like its Brooklyn counterpart, spearheaded by Mama Shelter founder Cyril Aouizerate, food and philosophy go hand in hand in this colourful hippie corner of the Quai d'Austerlitz. Try the vegan burger, a crimini mushroom patty on a sweet potato bun, but don’t forget the surprisingly delicious sea salted yucca fries. The 'chicken' nuggets, made with oyster mushrooms and chickpea, are served with homemade honey mustard (non-vegan alert!). Wash it all down with a Fizzy Lizzy, all-natural fruit juice blended with sparkling water, imported from the Big Apple. Seating is limited, so prepare to take it to go, fast-food style, and settle in the nearby Square du Temple for a little vegan picnicking. If you’re going to walk an extra five minutes, you’ll need some extra energy, so it’s best to nab a slice of cheese-less blueberry cheesecake or the chocolate hazelnut torte that makes eating vegan seem downright sinful.

Moon Roof

  • 13e arrondissement

Despite its name, this rooftop terrace bar is best experienced in the blazing sunshine. If its somewhat pedestrian diner-inspired food doesn’t quite justify its own prices – think €12 for a bruschetta, €14 for a less than filling salad – then the comfy outdoor seating and sweeping view of the river do. You come here to sit and snack rather than indulge. Moon Roof isn’t targeting the cocktail crowd so much as the afternoon flâneur: someone looking for a place to lay back and catch some rays in the company of an outsized milkshake (pricey at €10, but delicious). The availability of a range of sheesha pipes says it all.

O’ Paris

One evening on the terrace of this bar and you too will be singing ‘Ô Paris, c'est beau Paris!’. Formerly La Mer à Boire, its view takes in the whole city. In one glance you can drink it all in, from the Eiffel Tower to far beyond. High above the whirlpool of humanity below, the terrace of Ô Paris nestles on a little square of land, paved and planted with trees, where you can enjoy some sunshine and calm away from the hum of the city. Largely populated by senior citizens leafing through the papers and local kids running around between the tables, this is a homey and welcoming spot. On cold days or rainy afternoons, the big warm interior is a welcome refuge, complete with books, comics and coffee (€2) served with traditional cassonade brown sugar and macadamia nut syrup. Those in the know come here to eat simply and well: hot sandwiches, cheese or charcuterie boards and delicious classic French dishes (salmon tartare, duck breast). It’s a shame that the prices have gone up under the new management, but the food is good enough to make the hike worthwhile.

Rosa Bonheur

Rosa Bonheur

  • Buttes-Chaumont

Bucolic delights reign at Rosa Bonheur, a bar set in a former guinguette in the heart of the Buttes Chaumont park. Its name loosely translates as ‘pink happiness’ but refers in particular to 19th-century French painter and sculptor ‘Rosa Bonheur’, famous for her depictions of animals and her role in the early feminist movement (alongside George Sand and Sarah Bernhardt). The bar is managed by Michelle Cassaro, aka Mimi, who used to run lesbian club Pulp – and the bar is a popular hangout with the lesbian crowd, especially on Sunday evenings. But the Bonheur is nothing if not relaxed in every sense, and for Parisians of all persuasions its terrace is the place to see and be seen in the summer – an idyllic spot in the park for wine and tapas with just the birds, bees and bobos for company.

Rooftop du Mama Shelter

Rooftop du Mama Shelter

  • 20e arrondissement

Here the feeling of luxury is not in the dazzling cleanliness of the plates, the crisp whiteness of the sheets or the splendour of the gilt décor. Though an undeniable indulgence, dinner on the rooftop of Mama Shelter is a surprisingly homely affair – in no small part thanks to the mellow vibe engendered by the ping-pong table and the array of hammocks and mattresses. That's its charm.   The food is fairly straightforward stuff, though invariably prepared carefully, with top-grade ingredients. Make sure you try the excellent house cocktails (prepared with fresh seasonal fruits by the resident mixologist), and one of the range of transcendent desserts. Note that you'll have to make reservations for dinner, as the venue fills up well in advance. They also serve brunch on Sundays, if you'd rather take advantage of the good food and home-away-from-home vibe on a lazy weekend morning.

For something a little different…

La Grande Mosquée

La Grande Mosquée

  • Attractions
  • Religious buildings and sites
  • 5e arrondissement

Some distance removed from the Arabic-speaking inner-city enclaves of Barbès and Belleville, this vast Hispano-Moorish construct is nevertheless the spiritual heart of France's Algerian-dominated Muslim population. Built from 1922 to 1926 with elements inspired by the Alhambra and the Bou Inania Medersa in Fès, the Paris mosque is dominated by a stunning green-and-white tiled square minaret. In plan and function it divides into three sections: religious (grand patio, prayer room and minaret, all for worshippers and not curious tourists); scholarly (Islamic school and library); and, via rue Geoffroy-St-Hilaire, commercial (café and domed hammam).La Mosquée café (open 9am-midnight daily) is delightful - a modest courtyard with blue-and-white mosaic-topped tables shaded beneath green foliage and scented with the sweet smell of sheesha smoke (€6). Charming waiters distribute thé à la menthe (€2), along with syrupy, nutty North African pastries, sorbets and fruit salads.

La Recyclerie

La Recyclerie

  • 18e arrondissement

A restaurant, bar, café, farm and vegetable garden featuring daily DIY workshops, ethical values and a relaxed, welcoming vibe... all this and more makes up La Recyclerie, located in a former railway station on the Petite Ceinture. The project is organised by a handful of local hospitality associations who cut their teeth on, variously, the Comptoir Général, the Glazart, the Divan du Monde and the Machine du Moulin Rouge. They're specialists in all things second hand, passionate about investing clapped-out spaces with new life. And the result certainly works: the high ceiling soars above a wrought iron framework, with an enormous glass window offering a sweeping view over the old railway tracks, now surrounded by a long terrace, a mobile exterior bar and the local allotments. Inside, the space is done out in vintage furniture and fresh greenery, with colourful chairs, an enormous bar, an open kitchen, big vats of natural wine (sourced from En Vrac), climbing plants – and in a corner behind a glass screen, l'Atelier de René, the in-house handyman, who will repair absolutely anything and, what's more, teach you do your own.The food offering changes week on week; on our visit, it was African and Lebanese-themed. €20 or so covered a meal for two consisting of an excellent mezze platter and a chicken kebab with potatoes and crunchy vegetables, which we ate while watching staff working on the urban farm – soon, drinks will take place between a tethered goat and a plot of tomatoes.

Le Bistrot des Dames

Le Bistrot des Dames

  • Batignolles

Those in the know are wise to the promise of Le Bistrot des Dames wine bar and restaurant, found underneath a youth hostel. If the interior is welcoming, with its pretty old style bar and retro décor brightened up with old advertisements, this bistro is best known for its little paradise of a garden. Though sadly only open on evenings and weekends, it’s the ideal place to bring your friends on a sunny Sunday morning and affirm that life in Paris isn’t just about tarmac and pollution. The enormous wine list will present you with plenty of difficult choices, though you can always ask for recommendations. For a snack, you can have a lovely salad (around €15). If you want to go the whole hog, the starters (delicious duck carpaccio, artichokes and buffalo mozzarella) and the main dishes are all highly recommended. There’s a big choice of fish (medallions of tuna with a balsamic sauce is worth a go), and excellent desserts to finish up with (pear sorbet with cognac, crème brûlée with ginger). The staff are often overstretched, but very friendly. Full marks.

Le Train Bleu

Le Train Bleu

  • 12e arrondissement

This listed dining room - with vintage frescoes and big oak benches - exudes a pleasant air of expectation. Don't expect cutting-edge cooking, but rather fine renderings of French classics. Lobster served on walnut oil-dressed salad leaves is a generous, beautifully prepared starter, as is the pistachio-studded saucisson de Lyon with a warm salad of small ratte potatoes. Mains of veal chop topped with a cap of cheese, and sandre (pike-perch) with a 'risotto' of crozettes are also pleasant. A few reasonably priced wines would be welcome.

The Best Restaurants Near The Eiffel Tower

Steak frites topped with fresh parsley at Bistrot Des Fables

April 25, 2024

The Eiffel Tower gets over 6 million visitors a year, and where there are tourists, there are tourist traps—a lot of them. The 7th is home to countless bistros unabashedly microwaving croque monsieur and factory-like crêperies piling industrial grated cheese on galettes that have been sitting around since morning.

So let us help you avoid them. In this guide, we’ve zeroed in on the best of the neighborhood’s top French restaurants, including the legendary Le Jules Verne in the actual Eiffel Tower. If you need a break from yet another cream sauce, there are also standout sandwiches and warming bowls of noodle soup. And despite most of the city’s dining rooms shutting down from 2:30-7pm, there are even some all-day spots worth crossing the city for.

Rice pudding and wine glasses on table at L'Ami Jean

L'Ami Jean

The smoky scent of roasted beef draws you into L’Ami Jean’s packed dining room, where locals and tourists raise their voices to be heard over the chef’s booming baritone. It’s the best kind of sensory overload and a preview of the food’s intense flavors. Wild game is the way to go: Seasonal grouse is roasted with thyme, oregano-marinated duck breast is perfectly char-grilled, and the wild boar stew arrives in a generous vat that’ll convince you that small portions are a Parisian myth. While saving room for their incredible riz au lait might be impossible, you should order it anyway. The rice pudding becomes a top contender for the most memorable dessert in Paris once you add the salted butter caramel sauce and housemade nougatine.

Hamburger with a side of ketchup and fries at Birdy's

You’re so hungry that you mistook Invalides for a cream puff. Now it’s mid-afternoon, and restaurateurs are only halfway through their siestas. Birdy to the rescue. The all-day joint serves a banger of a beef, chicken, or falafel burger, topped with cheese, pickled onion, jalapeño, or housemade sauce, depending on your whims—yep, in a land where you can't usually swap salad for fries, customizing your burger at Birdy is totally kosher. Go after 3pm for a better chance at scoring one of the few seats, or take yours to go alongside housemade fries seasoned with slightly spiced salt. You’ll make everyone on the Champ de Mars chewing on a stale, overpriced sandwich jealous.

Interior dining space under soft light at Cafe des Ministeres

Café Des Ministères

It’s worth the extra steps across Invalides to reach Café des Ministères’s sleek, modern dining room complete with a black-and-white statement wall. It's the perfect setting to dust off old-school French classics and season them with a bit of 7th arrondissement refinement. Golden towers of flaky puff pastry vol au vent are generously filled with veal sweetbreads simmered in cream, but not before they’re lined with a sautéed spinach base to keep the pastry crisp. (That’s the whole point of vegetables, right?) Innards aside, the menu also features a delicious egg-mayo and some of the prettiest in-shell scallops ever. Sip a digestif from the drinks cart or an espresso before a walk along the Seine a few steps away.

Open exterior of Milagro with tables set for outdoor dining

French food gets a slight New Mexican makeover at this lively restaurant that walks the line between fine dining and bistro. It’s where you should bring someone who’s a small plate skeptic and wants their own entrée. Start with the fish of the day topped with crispy corn nuts in a bright leche de tigre, followed by a rack of lamb subtly kissed with hatch chile. Even the vegetarian dishes don’t feel like afterthoughts, like the celery root that’s roasted until caramelized before being bathed in a curry-spiked cream sauce with capers and herbs. The best time is lunch, when the atrium-like façade fills the dining room with light even on the greyest Paris afternoon, and the two- and three-course prix fixe (€27-€30) is an absolute steal.

Sakai ramen topped with scallions and nori at Ryukishin Eiffel

Ryukishin Eiffel

A gust of wind nearly blew you off the Eiffel Tower—time to warm up with a bowl of ramen at this tiny step-above-casual spot full of office workers and in-the-know tourists. You have a choice of three chicken-based broths and a vegan option, though it’s hard to beat the chef’s special sakaï, a favorite since the mini international chain’s founding two decades ago. The seven-hour chicken broth is topped with chicken breast and duck slices, plus minced red onion, chive, and precisely two bits of grilled onion for a smoky, barbecued-like flavor. You should level it up with the €2 extra soy-marinated egg with creamy yolk.

Le Jules Verne

Le Jules Verne inside the Eiffel Tower is no tourist trap. You’ll breeze up the private elevator on the west side and into one of three dining rooms tastefully decorated in shades of gray, bringing the Invalides and Sacré-Coeur views into full focus. The exquisite French food matches the views. It’s a playful, unstuffy prix fixe meal featuring all the rich sauces and emulsions a spot of this caliber is pretty much obligated to serve, balanced with touches of bitterness and acidity. Expect truffle everywhere, including in the cheese course—instead of the traditional gilded cart, you’ll get just one zhuzhed-up baked cheese that’s worth the €35 supplement. There are five- and seven-course tasting menus at lunch and dinner, but the move is the weekday €160, three-course lunch—more like eight, with all those amuse-bouches, pre-desserts, and mignardises—served at a pace made for luxuriating.

Spread of classic French dishes on outdoor table at Bistrot des Fables

Bistrot Des Fables

Bistrot des Fables delivers massive portions of classic French food in a homey setting with a zinc bar, tiled floor, and chalkboard menu. The charming wooden staircase at the back of the room leads to a slightly less charming upstairs space—plead with the servers, flirt if you need to, for a seat on the ground floor. The slow-cooked boeuf carottes is a must, falling apart at the nudge of a fork and big enough for two, and the escargot fricassée is a nice departure from the butter-soaked classic, pairing snails with pork belly and roasted peppers. Prices are almost criminally reasonable for the area, especially if you opt for the weekday lunchtime prix fixe of €24 for two courses and €27 for three. While most of the city’s restaurants are near-militant in their 12-2, 7-10 service, this spot serves from noon to 11pm daily.

Interior dining space with wooden tables and dim light at Arnaud Nicolas

Arnaud Nicolas

If you believe radish flowers and grape clusters are charcuterie board distractions, turn to Arnaud Nicolas. At the upscale French restaurant, the sausages, terrines, and pâtés are the true stars. They welcome you from their case by the entrance; head past them to the airy dining room where diners enjoy, in reverent near-silence, the privacy offered by the ample elbow room between tables. Sip a complimentary splash of white wine as you consider the ten-ish options on the charcuterie-dominant starters list, like savory poultry pâté baked in buttery golden pastry or rillettes that are so rich in pork fat. Can’t choose? The discovery plate is the obvious choice, with three surprise options like foie gras-laced terrine paired with apple compote or the espelette pepper-seasoned pâté.

Ducasse Sur Seine

If you must eat on a boat in Paris, make it this one. The fancy two-hour voyage begins and ends across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower, during which you’ll dine on approachable fine dining menus for those who like the idea of fancy tuiles and flowers but don’t want to have to Google every ingredient. You can choose from a three- or four-course set lunch (starts at €105 per person) or four- or five-course dinner, and pay when you book. Once onboard, it’s hard to forget where you are. You’ll sit on a chair cushion emblazoned with a greyscale city map underneath the ceiling’s silver wave motif. Despite the tweezer-applied flourishes, flavors are familiar, like the roast guinea fowl with mustard jus that has all the comfort of roast chicken in gravy. The wine is ludicrously expensive, but it’ll be hard to say no to a glass of Champagne. After all, you’re dining on the Seine.

Pastries at Tapisserie

There are two locations of this pastry shop from the team behind Septime , Clamato , and La Cave : the original spot in the 11th, and another on the Left Bank. You can pop into either if you’re just looking to grab and go, but if you’re hoping to sit down, head to the one near the Eiffel Tower—there’s a terrace and a tea salon with proper seating (the one in the 11th only has an outdoor ledge), plus some heartier savory snacks. The sweet maple syrup tart is a signature dessert at both addresses, but there are always new seasonal specialties worth trying, like a ricotta and blueberry mont blanc or a pretty sumac pavlova with poached peaches and rose syrup.

Blue and white painted dining room at Jais

There are plenty of bistros within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, but if you just can’t eat another steak au poivre, head to Jais. In addition to traditional French plates like pâté en croûte studded with pistachios, they have a handful of international-leaning dishes like a great tuna carpaccio topped with a bulgogi sauce and zucchini flower tempura with stracciatella. Wherever you land, save room for the lemon pie with sky-high meringue.

May 2023 I guess I didn't get a chance to leave a rating, however, it's not too late to leave one. As we were waiting in line below, we thought about how cool it felt to ride the elevator to the restaurant. Upon entering, we were greeted but told our table was not yet ready. I noticed that others were seated by a window but we weren't. So that's a minus 1 for us as we were there for the 1st time! I was delighted to see that we were served bread in a leather pouch of sorts, but it was cute as you can see the bread sticking out. I believe we had the following if my memory serves me correctly. Summer Lunch special White Asparagus with some sort of Asparagus foam and it was oh so creamy !!! Parpadelle Pasta (which was actually sad to eat. It was dry and the veggies were a bit overdone and dry) Steak Tartare (the portion was huge!!!!!! I didn't get to try it out, but my family member who did enjoyed it very much. For dessert we Lemon Meringue (it was too acidic and not as flavorful because it had too much zest which was off-putting) Chocolate Dessert - which was cleverly layered in a cup ... this reminded me of a tiramisu. I would probably return to try out other menus, or go during their dinner time. Lunch could have been better as well as seating arrangements, so I'll make sure to ask for a window seat as I feel I missed out on the beautiful scenic experience that would have elevated my stay in Paris. Since we can't give half points, my overall rating is a 3.5/5. Oh Paris!

What an experience!!!!!! If you want to impress your significant other, this is the way to do it. Wife and I spent the early afternoon exploring the Eiffel Tower and finished it off on it's a super romantic dinner. The food was all amazing. We both ordered completely different dishes so that we can try the most dishes that we can. All of the food was flavorful and beautifully prepared. If your feeling adventurous, this is the type of place I would take that chance to try something new since everything I did have was amazing. The service was great as well. We were promptly taken to our table for two right next to the window overlooking the Seine River which is exactly what I asked for on the reservation. Our waiter was amazing. If I blinked he'd top off my cup and I wouldn't have Ben notice. He made us laugh and ensured we had a good time. Lastly, the view and experience of having a candle light dinner on the Eiffel Tower was amazing. We took the stairs down after dinner and finished it off by taking some nice pictures at the end bud of our night.

Recommend placing reservations! Food was great! The wine was good. Food came out in a timely manner. Service was ok. Being surrounded by couples and families drew away service from my table since I was solo. Plus seating was terrible for me. Thank you!

It's a prepaid booking online months ahead in planning. I feel so lucky to have celebrated my birthday here. Loved the food, champagne, ambience, the service, and of course the view. Couldn't be more happier. It was perfect. The lift entrance to the Eiffel tower is included with your restaurant reservation.

Madame Brasserie is located on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, and their dinner service made for a touristy but memorable dining experience in Paris! The dinner menu came with a choice each of three appetizers, three entrees, and three desserts, along with mini baguettes delivered in a cute pouch. The appetizers included Veal Medallions, served chilled with an anchovy sauce and slices of crisp toast; Nicoise-style tuna seared on one side and plated with vegetables, anchovies, and a light tomato sauce; and White asparagus topped with hazelnuts and French caviar. Of all the appetizers, my favorite was the veal, which was super tender and juicy and went nicely with the creamy, umami sardine sauce. Next came the mains. The Vol-au-vent was a circular baked puff pastry pie stuffed with chicken and topped with a creamy, umami sauce made of morel mushrooms, asparagus, and truffle; and the Chicken fricassee came with a piece each of white meat and dark meat chicken, topped with the same creamy mushroom sauce and served with a block of rice with a crispy exterior made of melted Comte cheese. Finally, the Meunière-style sole fillet was a pan-fried half fillet of bone-in sole served with green asparagus and crispy toasted buckwheat. Of all the main dishes, my favorite was the crispy, buttery vol-au-vent, but especially the creamy morel and truffle sauce that came on top! For dessert, the Chocolate Liégeois was a chocolate pudding-like dish topped with jelly, Chantilly cream, and brownie squares, all served in a glass; and the Lemon Merinque Tartlet was a sour and bitter lemon custard topped with a light meringue and served over a crumbly tart-like crust. But my favorite dessert was definitely the Coffee Profiterole, a light pastry with a medallion of coffee ice cream in the middle, surrounded by a ring of cream and topped with gianduja (dark chocolate and hazelnut) sauce. The profiterole even had a nice crunch, featuring whole coffee beans and candied hazelnuts in the middle! Overall, this was a memorable dinner with surprisingly good service for such a touristy restaurant. Though the food came in relatively small portions and was expensive for what it was, the execution and flavors were on point for a fine dining experience!

We were visiting the tower so we got this food since we were hungry. As a person, I don't normally have sets so it was interesting to me. I got a 3 course meal: the veal (starter), surf and turf (main), also had a desert. I also had someone get something on the kids meal. Didn't take many photos but added the few that I did. The fish was good (from Kids Meal); however, other things were a bit lackluster. For instance, the bread (baguette) was incredibly hard and NOT easy to bite into. The desert that I had (includes ice cream, chocolate) was too sweet. As for the service, our waiter was okay. It was a little bit weird as we were sharing the food and told our waiter that but they did not give any extra utensils nor ask if we wanted more. With that, we also asked for water and barely got any and had to ask multiple times. Ambiance is good, because i guess yes you literally are at the Eiffel Tower! But would recommend reserving a spot if you want to eat here. If you don't, you have to eat with a little bit of a blocking view (of the fence).

restaurants paris vue tour eiffel

Food overall was ok. Salads weren't great. Trout and Ham were good. Cannellini had too much filling/spinach. Wine and champagne were refreshing. Dessert was ok. Espresso, lattes and cappuccino were very good. Service was sub par for an upscale restaurant. Views of the Seine river were beautiful. Definitely paying for the Eiffel Tower experience vs the food.

The food is not even worth mentioning. No taste and it seemed like the food came out of a can. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THE OVER RATED RESTAURANT.

The River Café, à New York
