The tent was spacious and well appointed; had pretty well everything you could ask for and expect from a luxury family-sized experience... better than most hotels that we've stayed at. The amazing thing was how clean the tent was - including all the cups/utensils and bedding. Just brilliant. The AC was quiet and worked well to warm the tent. The claw-foot bath on the decking was beautiful. The beds and bathroom was brilliant, and our 12/16yo actually had fun in the children's nook.

Loved the exterior, interior and the outside bath tub

Safari tents set us was exceptional and great fun. The bath tub on the verandah was brilliant surrounded by fairy lights. Tent included everything we needed.

We booked the safari tent and the luxury glaming tent. Well managed, neat and clean with all basic amenities available. Very helpful staff as we had to call on after hour line for finding our tents. Lovely spot to unwind and relax. Definitely worth a visit!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in the safari tent. It was so relaxing in the bath on the deck, looking out to the trees and listening to the birds. We will definitely be back and will recommend to family and friends.

This place has everything you need for a special get away😊 We loved staying there.

The glamping experience in these safari tents is exceptional. With clawfoot bath on the front deck, swathed in string lights, and all the beauty and serenity of flora and fauna at your doorstep, as well as sturdy and stylish interior features to cater to all your creature comforts, you'd be hard pressed to find a better glamping experience anywhere else in Victoria. Despite people nearby we still felt we had plenty of privacy especially for bathing on the front deck. Plenty of extra doonas too for the cold nights and a decent heating system. The accommodation is also conveniently located near some of Castlemaine's best restaurants and shops and offers great walks on and off path near the Botanical Gardens.

Perfect weekend away out of the city into a lavish and picturesque location with beautiful amenities and walking distance from everything. Hosts offered contactless check in and check out to be more covid safe, which was reassuring and seamless. We'll definitely be back again, with our laptops and working from the beautiful tent when we need a change of scenery. We'll bring the kids next time, too! They'd love the jumping pillow and the pool being right next door to the caravan park. Something for everyone.

Great reminder email and messages that you have sent prior to our booking.

Excellent day out. And our stay was wonderful. Highly recommended.

BIG4 Bellarine - luxury 4 poster bed glamping safari tent

Description

Our Safari tents are for the family looking for adventure.

Imported from the Netherlands,  your safari tent has the creature comforts of home (yep, it has a mini kitchen, a bathroom and aircon) while creating an unforgettable holiday experience. There is a little bar fridge for the essentials, but a good idea to bring an esky just so you really feel like you’re getting the full camping adventure!! The toaster, kettle and microwave help with breakfast and heating bits and pieces but the BBQ on your deck is your go-to. If you need an oven, they aren’t far away in the communal camp kitchens, so that’s an option. too.

The other question is TV or not? Nope, we had to draw the line – it is glamping, camping but glamorous.

Air Conditioner All linen provided Balcony/Courtyard/Verandah/Patio BBQ – Private Bunk Bed(s) Cutlery & Crockery Dining Table & Chairs Ensuite Fridge/Freezer Heater Microwave Open Plan Queen Bed Shower – no bath Toaster Welcome Tea, Coffee and Sugar

  • Glamping In Victoria

Found on the lowest point of Australia’s east coast, Victoria is one of Australia’s smallest states, but it packs a big punch. Here you’ll find an abundance of diverse regions to explore, and many activities that will leave you with lasting memories. Victoria has it all, from sweeping coastlines, to national parks and hiking trails that are teeming with wildlife. Victoria is also known for its food and wine culture which is admired from around the world. Explore a range of different winery regions, or one of the many hatted restaurants in Melbourne. Even better, you don’t need to travel far to experience something new. Many of Victoria’s unique regions can be easily reached as day trips from Melbourne.

Victoria is well known for its four seasons in one day. It’s not unusual to start the day off sunny, and find yourself reaching for the jumper by the afternoon. So pack layers! The seasons of Australia are the opposite from what you’ll find in the northern hemisphere. Melbourne heats up in summer (December to February), starts to cool down in autumn (March to May), can be quite cold in winter (June to August), and slowly starts to warm up in spring (September to November).

Glamping Victoria

Glamping Accommodation in Victoria

If you’re looking for holiday ideas in Victoria, glamping is a great way to try something new. Short for glamour camping, glamping gives you a unique style of accommodation. It allows you to get back in touch with nature, while still enjoying your favourite creature comforts. Glamping isn’t just about tents. There are a few styles of glamping you can try, from safari tents, to yurts, to domes, or eco lodges. This is perfect for a romantic weekend away for two, or a fun trip out with your mates. Either way, glamping in Victoria will give you an experience you’ll never forget!

Bell Tent Glamping Victoria

Bell tents are quickly becoming a popular glamping accommodation type in Victoria. They’re quite spacious on the inside, so can very comfortably sleep two or more people. If you’re looking to reconnect with nature, while keeping your favourite creature comforts, then bell tents are a great way to go. Most bell tent glamping accommodations in Victoria offer beautifully made beds with table, lighting and food storage included.

True to their name, bell tents are simple in structure and circular in shape. They are supported by a central pole, covered by a cotton canvas. Bell tents are stabilised using guy rope, which are connected to the top of the walls and held down by pegs at the bottom. They are aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and many Victorian glamping businesses dress these up beautifully for their guests. To find bell tent glamping accommodation near you in Victoria, check out the Australian Glamping Getaway directory.

Bell Tent Glamping Victoria

Safari Tent Glamping Victoria

If you’re looking for a little bit of extra luxury for your next glamping experience, then safari tent glamping in Victoria is a great option. Luxury safari tents offer a more premium accommodation lodging. They are larger and rectangular in shape, and are supported by fibreglass (or aluminium) poles. Completely waterproof, these tents are made with light (but durable) cotton canvas material. Many Victorian glamping businesses fix their safari tents to some form of hard flooring, making a more permanent tent structure.

The size of the safari tent allows for a more luxurious glamping experience. Some safari tents in Victoria are big enough to accommodate multiple rooms, simulating a small home or apartment. So, if you’re looking for a bit of extra room on your glamping holiday, then safari tent accommodation is a great option. You’ll typically be greeted by a comfortable bed, and in a lot of cases, your very own ensuite bathroom facilities. Check out these glamping safari tent accommodations, and find the best safari tent camping near me in Victoria.

Safari Tent Glamping Victoria

Yurt Glamping Victoria

Yurts aren’t quite as common as other tents here in Victoria, but they’re certainly unique and increasing in popularity. A yurt is made of lattice and wood, and is covered in water-proof fabric. They are circular in size, and you might recognise them from traditional Mongolian-style housing. Choosing a yurt for your next glamping experience is perfect if you’re looking for something different.

Best of all, most yurt glamping accommodations in Victoria still hold your creature comforts. You will typically find yurt accommodations providing full bedding, heating and running water. So you can still explore the great outdoors that Victoria has to offer, and come back to your yurt for a relaxing and comfortable evening. There are yurt accommodations to suit most budgets, whether you’re looking for a fun-filled family vacation, or a romantic trip away. The Glamping Australia directory can easily help you find your next yurt glamping holiday in Victoria.

We understand that sometimes plans change.  If you change your mind about your booking, you may cancel it at any time prior to your intended arrival.

We may ask you to confirm your identity when making a cancellation request and the collection of any personal information will be in accordance with our  privacy policy .
