Bruce Springsteen Confirms Australia and New Zealand Tour

by Paul Cashmere on May 25, 2022

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band will tour Australia and New Zealand as part of their 2023/2024 World Tour.

While Australian dates are yet to be announced Springsteen told SiriusXM Radio “We’re eventually going to get to Australia and New Zealand, and back around again”.

The immediate timeline for Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, according to Bruce is, “We’re going to rehearse in January, start in the States in arenas at the beginning of February, run that through April. Then head over to Europe through the beginning of August, and come back to the States play a few stadium shows outside.

Based on that timeline, expect an Australia and New Zealand announcement soon from Frontier Touring/AEG for the summer of 23/24.

In his SiriusXM interview, Bruce said that “there will be plenty of that when we get on the road” in reference to live material of songs from the recent ‘Letters To You’ rock album but there won’t be anything from the previous acoustic album ‘Western Stars’. “I’d like to keep it a rock show,” he said. “Once you’re out in an arena or stadium, people have come to see a rock ‘n’ roll show… But you never know, something may squeak in there from that record. It’s not impossible. That one, I’m gonna have to wait and see.

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band last performed in Auckland, New Zealand on 25 February 2017.

Setlist: Darlington County Working on the Highway Glory Days Johnny 99 Prove It All Night My Love Will Not Let You Down Out in the Street Hungry Heart My City of Ruins Wrecking Ball The River Youngstown American Skin (41 Shots) The Promised Land Candy’s Room Because the Night The Rising Badlands Rosalita

ENCORE: Backstreets Born to Run Dancing in the Dark Tenth Avenue Freeze-out Shout Bobby Jean Thunder Road (solo acoustic)

In a statement he said, “After six years, I’m looking forward to seeing our great and loyal fans next year. And I’m looking forward to once again sharing the stage with the legendary E Street Band. See you out there, next year — and beyond.”

The North American dates in February are yet to be announced. Europe will begin in Barcelona on 28 April followed by more US dates then Australia and New Zealand.

Australia concerts in 2024: here’s a list of shows and tours coming up

Big names confirmed for tours Down Under in 2024 include Coldplay, Pink, SZA, Hozier, Iron Maiden and more

Fresh out of a pandemic, Australia’s 2023 touring calendar was one of the busiest in recent memory, as artists of all stripes took centrestage everywhere from stadium shows to intimate local gigs. With a starry schedule that included the likes of Post Malone , Red Hot Chili Peppers , and Mötley Crüe , it’ll be tricky for 2024’s schedule to outdo its predecessor – and yet, thanks to the likes of Taylor Swift , Blink-182 and Pink , plus Coldplay, Pearl Jam and SZA later in the year, it’s poised to do just that.

From debut headline shows for breakout artists to bustling festival sideshow programs, there’s something for everyone to enjoy as a stellar batch of musicians make their way Down Under in 2024. Read on for NME’s roundup of all the biggest concerts and tours coming to Australia this year.

Here are the concerts and tours coming to Australia in 2024:

Pink When: February 9 – March 23 Find tickets and more info

Australia bloody loves Pink , and she’s apparently pretty fond of her “home away from home” too. In 2009, she played 58 shows here as part of her Funhouse tour, performing for some 660,000 fans. In 2013, when she announced an Australian tour in support of sixth studio album ‘The Truth About Love’, 320,000 tickets were snapped up within a few hours of them going on sale.

It makes sense, then, that the American singer-songwriter has a slew of dates booked for her return in February and March 2024 as part of her Summer Carnival world tour . She’ll be bringing songs from her ninth studio album ‘Trustfall’ to stadiums around the country, including stops in Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

She’ll be playing a total of four shows at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium and conclude the tour at Townsville’s Queensland Country Bank stadium.

Aussie Depeche Mode fans are an incredibly patient bunch. The last time the British synth-pop titans toured the country was in 1994, meaning nearly three decades have passed since they last paid us a visit. But good things come to those who wait, and it seems there is a glimmer of hope for those hoping to catch the band Down Under.

Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band’s World Tour Setlist: All the Songs They Performed For Their First Show of 2024

Fans were delayed but not denied their visit from The Boss Tuesday night (March 19) in Phoenix as Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band relaunched their world tour after a six-month break.

Springsteen was originally slated to play the Arizona date on Nov. 30 last year, but it was one of 29 shows postponed after he came off the road in early September for treatment for peptic ulcer disease .

He made no reference to his health troubles (which were clearly in his past, given his extreme energy on stage) until the closing tune of the 29-song set, when he apologized for inconveniencing anyone by having to move the show, explaining, “I had a motherf**cker of a bellyache.”

The 2 hour 45 minute concert, which started right at 7:30pm , was a rollicking, high-energy affair. Gone are tour mainstays from the earlier leg, such as the funky “The E Street Shuffle” and the jazzy 7-minute “Kitty’s Back” (both from 1973’s The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle ), and six songs from Springsteen’s last album of original material, 2020’s Letter to You (Tuesday’s show was down to four from that set), replaced with tunes that make for a fast-paced, non-stop thrill ride of a show.

Springsteen will spend the rest of the year on the road, with more than 50 dates on the 2024 docket, including a European leg that starts in Cardiff, Wales in May and includes multiple stadium shows in cities like Milan, Madrid and Barcelona, before he returns stateside in August for stadium shows.

Below is the setlist for Phoenix’s opening night of the new leg. The tour resumes Friday  (March 22) night in Las Vegas.  For a deeper dive, go here .

Bruce Springsteen Announces Lots More 2024 Tour Dates

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have announced 22 additional concerts for their 2024 tour. The summer shows in the U.K., Ireland, and Europe, were revealed on Oct. 31. On Oct. 6, Springsteen revealed the rescheduled dates for the balance of his 2023 North American concerts that were postponed due to the legend’s continued recovery from a peptic ulcer disease. That decision, citing “doctor’s advice” and “an abundance of caution” KO’d more than 20 shows that were supposed to run through December 10. On Sept. 6, Springsteen postponed all of his remaining September concerts while being treated. The band was already scheduled to take a break during October before resuming with another run of concerts in November and December. Those are all pushed back to 2024; see the revised dates below.

In a Sept. 27 post, Springsteen wrote, “Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.”

Springsteen’s earlier statement on Sept. 6 noted: “Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows. First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support. We’ve been having a blast at our U.S. shows and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon. Love and God bless all, Bruce.”

Most recently, Springsteen and the E Street Band had done three concerts at Metlife Stadium in E. Rutherford, N.J. The most recent was on Sept. 3. Just days before, he had announced the first 2024 dates of his international tour. They’re actually the two concerts in Philadelphia that were originally planned for August 2023. The pair of shows at Citizens Bank Park were abruptly postponed when the Boss took ill. Those two concerts are scheduled for August 2024, leading to speculation that Springsteen and his band will move the rest of the 2023 postponed shows to then. The tour began on Feb. 1 and continued in U.S. arenas through mid April. A second leg, of European stadium concerts followed, beginning on April 28 and concluding on July 25. A run of U.S. stadiums took place over the summer. After a break, they were scheduled to resume on Nov. 3 with arena concerts in Canada, finishing with shows in the U.S. on December 10. See the itinerary below. The original news of the tour arrived at the stroke of midnight ET on May 24, 2022.

The 2023 dates marked the first live shows for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band since the conclusion of their 14-month, worldwide The River Tour in February 2017. The River Tour was named 2016’s top global tour by both Billboard and Pollstar.

Still no England on that list (not to mention Scotland & Wales as well) – personally I think Bruce should make it up to us (in England) by doing a few smaller scale gigs in Brighton (maybe the Dome?) come on Bruce, do the right thing…

georgeC

will Bruce and the band play in Las Vegas for the first time since 2002 ? Allegiant Stadium and T-Mobile Arena are waiting, time to end the 20 year boycott.

Springsteen was never the future of rock & roll but he is a great artist, performer. He is so overrated by the media along with his fans that it’s pathetic.

You say he is great then overrated. By who, you ? Selling out stadiums & arenas all over the world after a 50 year plus career. The only pathetic one is you with your absurd comment.

Bruce Springsteen’s recording career spans over 40 years, beginning with 1973's ‘Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ’ (Columbia Records). He has released 18 studio albums, garnered 20 Grammys, won an Oscar, been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, received a Kennedy Center Honor, and was MusiCares’ 2013 Person of the Year. Springsteen’s memoir ‘Born to Run’ (Simon & Schuster) and its companion album ‘Chapter and Verse’ were released in September 2016, and he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in November last year. Springsteen’s The River Tour 2016 was named the year’s top global tour by both Billboard and Pollstar. ‘Born to Run’ will be issued in paperback by Simon & Schuster this September.

The Boss Does Not Disappoint

I saw Bruce Springsteen last year at the C, and man…That was a show. Never in my life have I see the level of devotion and love as I saw at that concert. Bruce was great, and his live shows are second to none…It really did feel like a crusade! The price was high, but worth the cost

Born to Run

Ive seen Bruce 5 times since 2012.hopefully 6 in Aug.my favorite song Born to Run. When he hits that stage, starts playing his guitar, starts singing, then looks out at the audience and smiles.my heart melts.hes that magnet to his folliwers, pulling them in .

I've been to 33

September 1980 We were stunned walking 2 miles back to our car in silence. 32 times after. I was there opening the Staple Center next to a couple who flew in for the show from Germany. Last time in 2013. Had to go to 2 or 3 shows because I couldn't not be there. I'm 77 now and I'm going one more time. He never comes to Vegas and I'm done going to Phoenix or LA for a concert. He is a small remnant of the 1980 version but his there even if the energy is less.

The band and Bruce sound amazing. What a great show!!

It just gets better every time I see Bruce & the E Street Band!!!

Just Gets Better

Boston will be my 275th "event"with Bruce. The first was in Bryn Mawr, PA, at the Main Point in 1975. The Tower Theatre in Upper Darby, PA was the next size up, and a year after that was the Spectrum. It's amazing that now in the stadium show days, Bruce can make it as intimate as the 50 seat bar. Can't Wait.

It was really great but i missed some more known songs but i belive that you may need to go to both his conserts like in the place your in for the full expirince it was a lot of songs that were pretty unknown but all in all it was great so of your going in a contry go to both the conserts for the full expirience because the conserts were completley diffrent and you got way more out of it

REALLY? SPRINGSTEEN REVIEWS? HA!

You need to read a Springsteen review? Stop thinking about it, and GO !

I expected more bang for the buck

Don't get me wrong, the guy is a legend, and at 72 it's amazing how much energy he has. His lyrics are a work of art. But--I expected more entertainment for the amount of money you pay for one ticket. I was actually more impressed listening to the brass section of the E Street Band. Those guys are extremely talented!

Great Show, Expensive Tickets, Belmont

I saw Bruce twice on Broadway. Sat in front row. Nothing can compare to that. Pre-COVID stood next to him for thirty minutes while he signed albums. A serious major talent. Took my family to see him at Belmont. Fabulous show and he sure gave us our moneys worth. He played for almost three hours. The E Street Band is merely a back up band. He IS the show. Nobody watches them. Ticket prices were outrageous and he blamed it on Ticketmaster but the artist makes all the decisions about prices. He’s no longer the working man’s friend when a ticket costs as much as a mortgage payment. But hey, great show. Free Advice: if you go to his show buy tickets in the Pit. Tickets cheaper and thats the show is!!!! ( Four stars only for cost. Show gets Five Stars! )

Bruce Springsteen Announces Rescheduled 2024 Tour Dates

By Madison Bloom

Bruce Springsteen onstage

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band have announced the rescheduled tour dates for their postponed 2023 concerts . The band will play shows in March and April before resuming the tour in August and September. Find Springsteen and his band’s new schedule—now updated with rescheduled Canadian dates—below.

In late September, Springsteen and his group had to postpone a string of their 2023 tour dates so that the singer could continue treatment for peptic ulcer disease symptoms. The news came after Springsteen pushed back a couple of September shows, revealing he was getting treatment for the disease. Springsteen had previously canceled a handful of concerts in March due to an unspecified illness.

Upon canceling the remainder of his 2023 tour, Springsteen wrote in a statement that he is recovering and “will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor’s advice.” He added: “Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I’m on the mend and can't wait to see you all next year.”

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Get Loose in Los Angeles

By Ethan Millman

Ethan Millman

Three hours into Bruce Springsteen ‘s epic return to Los Angeles on Thursday night with the E Street Band, he stared down the sold-out crowd at the Forum. “Do you have anything left?” he shouted, midway through “Twist and Shout,” the second-to-last song of his first L.A. show in eight years. Five decades in, the magic of a Springsteen show remains: He always seems to have a little bit left in the tank.

The 2024 version of the tour has been looser than last year’s, which stuck fairly close to a single set list, and Thursday was no exception. Springsteen kicked off with a true rarity, a cover of John Lee Hooker’s “Boom Boom” (most frequently played on the Tunnel of Love Express Tour back in 1988), before jumping into “Lonesome Day” (rarely played last year, but now a staple in the set) and “Prove It All Night,” then his live -favorite arena-rock reworking of Jimmy Cliff’s “Trapped.”

Editor’s picks

The 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history, every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term.

Six dates into their return to the road, Springsteen and the E Street Band sounded like they had never been interrupted. “Are you having fun yet? Because we haven’t had fun yet,” Springsteen told the crowd just over an hour into his show. “This is our pre-fun. We’re here to wake you up, shake you up, and take you to higher ground. The E Street Band is here to bring the joyous power of rock & roll into your life. But we need your help. We plan on sending you home with your feet hurting, your hands hurting, your ass in paralysis, and your sexual organs stimulated.”

Springsteen maintains a remarkably simple setup and show presentation compared to the other blockbuster live shows currently on the road. The visuals are limited to video screens and elegant stage lights, keeping the focus on the 17 musicians onstage with him. He doesn’t really need much else.

'Wind Up Missin’ You' by Tucker Wetmore – Lyrics & Meaning

Will Springsteen and the E Street Band tour in 2024? 'It's a hope,' Little Steven says

3-minute read.

springsteen australia tour 2024

See you further on up the road?

The current Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band tour, which comes to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on Aug. 30, Sept. 1 and 3, is scheduled to conclude on Dec. 10 and 12 at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

But that might not be the end of it.

E Street Band guitarist, and long-time Springsteen confidant Steven Van Zandt, stated the E Street Band will be “back” after the current tour dates, and the “hope” is it's in 2024.

“Right now it is a hope,” tweeted Van Zandt on Sunday, June 25, to a question of whether or not 2024 dates are in the works and if the dates will include Finland. “We are waiting for many complicating factors that are out of our control for a final decision. But if this miraculous tour miraculously continues, I cannot promise anything, but I will personally vote to include Finland! Home of the legend, Michael Monroe!"

Monroe is the lead vocalist for the hair metal band Hanoi Rocks. As for the tour, there are multiple factors involved with planning the '24 dates, Van Zandt said.

“Availability of a limited amount of venues, hotels, planes, trucks, buses, cars, crewmembers, staging, sound systems, lights, video screens, etc, etc, etc.,” Van Zandt said. “Every possible band and individual artist capable of touring is doing so like never before all at the same time.”

The current tour does not include Australia, New Zealand and Tennessee, Van Zandt noted.

“We somehow missed Tennessee this tour, which is unfortunate,” Van Zandt said. “Your vast amount of essential music history — blues, rockabilly, soul and country — deserves ultimate respect. We have done memorable shows there and we will be back.”

An added dimension to the Springsteen touring question is possible dates with his new Night Shift band, which performed songs from the Boss' “Only the Strong Survive” solo album on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in November.

Night Shift band member (and former E Streeter) David Sancious told the Asbury Park Press that Springsteen would like to “do some more live performances with that ensemble” in January. Sancious recently told Mojo that he's been working with Springsteen on an “Only the Strong Survive” sequel, and that “next year, I should be touring the album with Bruce.”

The Night Shift band, as they appeared on Fallon, includes Sancious on keyboards; Ron Aniello, musical director and guitar; Rose Blanshei, bass; Zoe Brecher, drums; Anthony Almonte, percussion; Henry Hay, keyboards; Francesca Dardani and Katie Jacoby, violin; Eddie Manion, baritone sax; Curt Ramm and Barry Danielian, trumpet; Richie “LaBamba” Rosenberg, trombone; Stan Harrison, tenor sax; and Curtis King, Lisa Lowell, Michelle Moore, Felicia Douglass, Dennis Collins, Fonzi Thorton and Vaneese Thomas, background vocals.

Atlantic City: Teaser for Fallout 76 update references Bruce Springsteen classic

Manion, Ramm, Almonte, Danielian, King, Lowell and Moore are currently on tour with Springsteen and the E Street Band, which has regularly performed “Nightshift” from “Only the Strong Survive” on the current tour.

Springsteen and E Street are playing stadiums in Europe and come back to the States with shows Aug. 9 and 11 at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Area shows include Aug. 16 and 18 at Citizens Bank Ballpark in Philly, and then the MetLife shows.

“If it was up to Bruce and the band we would tour everywhere forever,” tweeted Van Zandt on Sunday. “We’re just starting to figure out how to do this!”

Music + concerts, music + concerts | bruce springsteen dazzles in a marathon 3 hour and 20 minute show at the kia forum on thursday.

springsteen australia tour 2024

Bruce Springsteen has talked of life and mortality as themes of the world tour that he and the E Street Band kicked off a year ago, and in the setlist Thursday, April 4 for the first of two shows at the Kia Forum there were plenty of of songs that reflected those feelings.

But at the end of the night, after 32 songs over three hours and 20 minutes, it’s the living that shined brightest through his time on stage, and the joy — of Springsteen, his band, and fans alike — that lingered after the final notes faded.

It’s been eight years since Springsteen last played Southern California . His long run on Broadway took a few years. The pandemic claimed a few more. And then, when he was scheduled to stop here in December, peptic ulcer disease forced the postponement of the Forum shows, and left Springsteen worried whether he’d ever sing again.

Any doubts about his vim and vigor vanished quickly in a show that ran a half hour longer than most on this tour,  which saw Springsteen at 74 as impossibly energized as ever.

“Boom Boom” opened the show with a bang, the bluesy John Lee Hooker cover getting Springsteen and the 17 members of his band revved up for the night to come. Two songs later, the opening notes of “Prove It All Night” got a roar from the crowd for the fan favorite off “Darkness on the Edge of Town,” and from that point, the songs flowed one after another, separated only by Springsteen counting off the tempo before each new number.

The E Street Band remains one of the great bands in rock history, with guitarist Steven Van Zandt, bassist Gerry Tallent, pianist Roy Bittan, and drummer Max Weinberg going back 50 years or so with the Boss. Guitarist Nils Lofgren and singer-guitarist Patti Scialfa, Springsteen’s wife, are the new kids with only 40 years in the band.

Their tight, intuitive playing sets the base for Springsteen to go where he likes. Slow it down for “Trapped.” No problem. Pick up the pace on “Two Hearts”? Van Zandt joins Springsteen on a shared microphone, singing harmonies, their faces inches apart, as they have for half a century.

After “The Promised Land,” the second of three “Darkness” tracks in the show, Springsteen announced Scialfa was in the house, and brought her out to sing a pair of songs with him. “Tougher Than the Rest,” a slow-burning romance, saw them harmonizing closely as Springsteen shifted from a low solo on his blonde Telecaster to harmonica for the finish. “Fire” was playful, fun, and a little bit sexy, Springsteen and Scialfa clearly having a blast with the number.

Each night on tour Springsteen plucks a sign from the audience to play an unexpected request. On Thursday, that arrived on the stage in the form of a white bedsheet spray-painted with black letters so hard to read Springsteen made a joke about it. The song, “Jole Blon,” was gorgeous, a Cajun-inflected traditional number that featured Soozie Tyrell on fiddle and Charles Giordano on accordian.

While “Born To Run” provided the most songs in the show with five — we’ll be getting to those soon, be patient! — the oldest songs often prompted the biggest responses from the crowd. “Spirit in the Night,” from Springsteen’s 1973 debut, “Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.” was the first show-stopper of the night, its jazzy R&B giving Springsteen and the band, including saxophonist Jake Clemons, a chance to stretch and vamp a little.

“My City of Ruins,” from “The Rising,” shifted from the ecstasy of “Spirit” to a slower gospel soul, with Springsteen testifying most directly on thoughts of mortality.

“I know there’s a lot of us out there that are missing somebody special,” he said during a mid-song break to address the crowd. “Now I don’t know where we go when all of this is over. I just know what remains. And the only thing we can guarantee tonight is that if you’re here, and we’re here, then those that we are missing are here with us tonight.”

Two songs later, he finished the somber midpart of the show with a mostly solo acoustic guitar performance of “Last Man Standing,” a song inspired by the death of the last member of his first teenage band. “Death brings a certain clarity of mind,” Springsteen said by way of introduction. “And grieving is the price we pay for love.”

At that point, barely halfway through the show, things shifted toward the light and the living. “Backstreets,” from “Born To Run,” still has a melancholy feel, but its protagonist lives with his memories of young love and the places they used to travel, with Bittan’s piano part the secret sauce to its beauty.

“Because The Night,” which Springsteen gave to Patti Smith to record in the late ’70s, was reclaimed as a hard rocker that wrapped up with glorious guitar solo from Lofgren. “She’s The One” walloped its Bo Diddley beat in a primal rock ‘n’ roll rhythm.

The main set climaxed with “Badlands,” a Springsteen classic from the ’70s about a restless young man with dreams bigger than his life, and “Thunder Road,” one of his greatest numbers, which opened with the crowd singing loudly on the slow first verse before Springsteen and the band launched it to a huge finish.

At this point we’ve reached the encore, which Springsteen fans know means another 50 minutes of music, with one hit dropped after another.

After “Land of Hope and Dreams” opened it up, “Born To Run,” symphonic rock ‘n’roll hymn, exploded from the stage, the arena lights up now for fans to sing along. “Rosalita (Come Out Tonight),” another early favorite, remains a joyful song of desire, and a chance for Springsteen and the band to take flight into extended versions. Here it wrapped up with Springsteen, Van Zandt, Lofgren, Tyrell and Clemons dancing and goofing at the end of a short ramp into the pit.

“Dancing In The Dark” is one of the sweetest simple pop songs that Springsteen’s ever written. “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out” saw him circle the pit, singing from a ramp at its edge to the fans in the floor seats. And “Twist and Shout” was a rock and roll party.

The 17 musicians walked off the stage then, with Springsteen giving them a pat on the back or handshake, telling them “good job” as if they were punching out at the end of a shift at the factory. He is the Boss, and he’s a good boss, too.

Then, one last encore, solo on stage with his acoustic guitar, singing “I’ll See You In My Dreams.” Or maybe on Sunday night, when he returns to the Kia Forum, as full of life as ever he was.

Bruce Springsteen shreds on guitar.

In the penultimate episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” Bruce Springsteen comes down with COVID after meeting Larry David.

As a result, his “Bruce Springsteen” character had to put his “farewell tour” on hold and the audience was led to believe “he may never sing again.”

Thankfully, the 74-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is COVID-free and midway through an arena tour , that, as far as we know, is not his last.

Based on our findings, Springsteen and his E Street Band have 21 concerts lined up all over North America from now up until November this year.

Along the way, they’ll stop into Albany’s MVP Arena on Monday, April 15 and Syracuse’s JMA Wireless Dome on Thursday, April 18.

They’ll also headline the 2024 Sea.Hear.Now Festival in Asbury Park, NJ on Sunday, Sept. 15 along with Noah Kahan , The Gaslight Anthem , Trey Anastasio Band , and more.

For fans who want to catch The Boss live this year, tickets are available for all upcoming gigs.

At the time of publication, we found seats for select shows going for as low as $53 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Other concerts had tickets starting anywhere from $57 to $484 before fees.

Curious how much it will run you to see a healthy Bruce play the hits with Little Stevie, Max Weinberg, and Jake Clemons live this year?

We’ve got everything you need to know and more about Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s 2024 tour below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Sea.Hear.Now Festival 2024

For the first time since December 2010, Springsteen is performing in his hometown Asbury Park.

The Sea.Hear.Now Festival , taking place Sept. 14-15, will mark The Boss’ headline homecoming.

He’ll be joined by notable acts Norah Jones , Black Crowes , 311 , The Revivalists and Kool and the Gang at the genre-hopping extravaganza in addition to the big names listed earlier.

Bruce Springsteen concert review

On Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, the New York Post saw Springsteen in concert at East Rutherford, NJ’s MetLife Stadium.

“Each song bled into the next with Bruce’s signature “1, 2, 3, 4!” cry giving the crowd a full-on musical thrill ride that never ran out of gas and was simultaneously heavy, silly and soaring sometimes all within the span of one song,” the publication reported.

If you want to read more about the lively show, you can read the NY Post’s glowing review here .

Bruce Springsteen recovery

Shortly after Springsteen’s three-concert stint at MetLife last year, he postponed the rest of his tour due to a peptic ulcer disease.

“Bruce Springsteen has continued to recover steadily from peptic ulcer disease over the past few weeks and will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor’s advice,” the group shared on  Instagram last September.

In his first show back at Phoenix’s Footprint Center, Springsteen addressed the postponement.

“Phoenix, first I want to apologize if there was any discomfort because we had to move the show last time,” Springsteen said to the crowd. “I hope we didn’t inconvenience you too much.”

To read more about the return — where he was mocked for resembling Tilda Swinton after tearing his shirt open — check out the New York Post’s story here .

Tom Morello Reunites with Bruce Springsteen in Los Angeles: Watch

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

The post Tom Morello Reunites with Bruce Springsteen in Los Angeles: Watch appeared first on Consequence .

Former E Street Band touring member Tom Morello reunited with  Bruce Springsteen at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California on Sunday (April 7th), joining the Boss on guitar for “The Ghost of Tom Joad” and “American Skin (41 Shots).”

Marking the 2024 tour debuts of both songs, it was also Springsteen’s first time playing “The Ghost of Tom Joad” and “American Skin (41 Shots)” with the E Street Band since 2016 and 2017, respectively. Watch fan-shot footage of both performances below.

Echoing Springsteen’s Thursday night show at Kia Forum , his wife, Patti Scialfa , came on stage for performances of “Tougher Than the Rest” and “Fire.” Other notable songs in the setlist included “The Promised Land,” “Hungry Heart,” “Backstreets,” and Springsteen’s first performance of “Open All Night” in a decade.

Per usual, the encore was stacked with classics like “Born to Run,” “Rosalita (Come Out Tonight),” “Glory Days,” and “Dancing in the Dark.” See the full setlist below.

Springsteen and the E Street Band are slated to tour throughout North America, the UK, and Europe for much of the remainder of 2024. Grab your seats for North American dates here and international shows here .

Morello and Springsteen have been occasional collaborators since 2008, when the Rage Against the Machine guitarist first joined Springsteen and the E Street Band on stage. The following year, Morello was a special guest during Springsteen’s closing set at the 25th Anniversary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concert at Madison Square Garden.

After playing guitar on two tracks from Springsteen’s 2012 album,  Wrecking Ball , Morello filled in for E Street Band guitarist Steve Van Zandt during the Australian leg of the supporting tour. He followed up by contributing heavily to the 2014 album High Hopes — including a re-recording of “The Ghost of Tom Joad” — and once again stood in for Van Zandt on the “High Hopes Tour.”

In 2021, Morello recruited Springsteen and Eddie Vedder for a cover of AC/DC’s Highway to Hell,” which appears on his solo album,  The Atlas Underground Fire .

Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm is finishing up after 12 seasons. Here are our six favourite episodes

Larry stands in a doorway and holds the head of a brunette doll up with a serious expression on his face.

It's almost 25 years since Seinfeld creator Larry David appeared on screen as his improvised alter-ego in the very first episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

And yet, our enthusiasm for the ever cringe, always relatable accidental style icon still can't be curbed.

With the cult sitcom's finale airing this weekend, here are the episodes the ABC Entertainment team thinks are pretty, pretttyyy, pretttttyyyyyyy, pretty good, from across the 12 series.

Ben's Birthday Party — Season 4, Episode 2

Jared Richards

One of Curb's great joys is seeing how the A, B and C plots of any episode will coalesce into the most cringe-inducing, painful social interaction possible. Ben's Birthday Party is a perfect example, packing in as many strands as it can into 30 minutes.

Larry is struggling with tap dance rehearsals for a Broadway production of The Producers; his co-star Ben Stiller isn't impressed by Larry's talents or a lack of birthday gift at his party; Richard doesn't want his fake niece, an aspiring actress, to get breast implants; Suzie makes ugly bedazzled shirts; Larry hates skewered food at parties, feeling like he has to hold the skewer all night; the blind rehearsal pianist's girlfriend told him she's a model (she is not). In a lesser show, that's a season of stories.

Add in Ben Stiller playing a nasty version of himself, and a skewer-eye accident that has haunted me more than anything from the Saw franchise, and you've got an all-timer. Plus, the choreographer from Showgirls plays Larry's tap instructor: that, to me, is simply perfection.

Most LOL quote: "What is this? I'm walking around with a skewer all night now. Can't get rid of these things. You know? I don't like a kebob. I don't know what your feelings are about a kebob but I'm not a kebob guy. And then you've got this stick? What do you do? Put it in your pocket, stick yourself in the scrotum. Then what ya got? Scrotum kebob!"

Krazee-Eyez Killa — Season 3, Episode 8

Larry David, one of entertainment's whitest old men, being in a hardcore rapper's bad books is a simple recipe for pure Curb gold.

The relationship between David and Krazee-Eyez Killa — from their bromance to their beef and beyond — is perfect, but it's just one element of an episode packed with some of the series' most relatable cringe.

Larry's refusal to take a tour of Jeff Greene and Susie Essman's new house gives Susie a perfect opportunity to be her devastatingly brutal self. Only LD could be banned from a clothing store for being so determined to help that his actions verge on abuse. And surely no other show could execute a payoff involving a pubic hair, a throat, and the shooting of a Scorsese film. So ridiculous, and so hilarious.

Most LOL quote: "Are you my caucasian?"

The Doll, Season 2, Episode 7

Yasmin Jeffery

Warning: this gets pretty weird even for Curb.

There's a reason Larry (as in David's character, not real-life LD) doesn't have children and Larry shouldn't be around children. Bad things generally happen when he is. But really bad things happen when the toilet doesn't lock at an ABC executive's party, forcing him to hunt for another one upstairs. Larry being Larry, he finds one upstairs in that exec's daughter Tara's bedroom, and ends up cutting her rare Judy doll's hair with a Swiss army knife.

With Larry's ABC deal now in jeopardy, Jeff secretly offers up the head from his daughter's Judy as a replacement. Guess how Susie feels about that?

The end of this episode sees Larry have another toilet run-in with Tara and it's this moment that gives most people pause. It probably wouldn't end up getting made if it had been written today, but that doesn't mean we can't laugh at it now … or so I tell myself.

Most LOL quote: "Mommy, mommy, that bum is in the bathroom and there's something hard in his pants!"

The Car Pool Lane, Season 4, Episode 6

Hannah Story

We know Larry is pathologically incapable of backing away from a confrontation, but the other side of him is that he's fundamentally interested in people. In this episode, after he pretends to be racist to get out of jury duty and buys street weed to help his dad's glaucoma, Larry recruits a sex worker to accompany him to a baseball game so he can use the car-pool lane and make it to the stadium on time. Together, they have a beautiful time at the baseball (and later they smoke some killer weed with his dad).

But this episode featuring a very stoned Larry and a classic Curb comedy of errors had a real-world impact: It exonerated a person who was falsely accused of murder. In 2003, Juan Catalan was arrested in Los Angeles. Except on the day of the murder he was actually at the baseball — and the team behind Curb Your Enthusiasm had the footage to prove it. You can watch a documentary about the situation in Netflix's Long Shot.

Most LOL quote: "A good compromise is when both parties are dissatisfied, and I think that's what we have here."

Lewis Needs a Kidney, Season 5, Episode 5

If there's anything we've learned from watching Curb Your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld, it's that Larry David has a heightened sense of the bizarre social rules that govern our lives. Why is 9:30pm the latest you can call someone? Why should you have to wait until your dining partner's food arrives before you start eating? Why can't you use the drive-thru line on foot if the dine-in section is closed?

One of those rules is that you have to at least offer to give your friend your kidney when they need it — but you hope you never have to actually follow through. For much of season five, Larry tries to get out of actually giving Richard Lewis his kidney — a set-up established in this episode, as he and Jeff debate which of them should be the donor.

Even though Larry and Richard often bicker and scrabble physically (say over a bracelet or Larry's career change to car salesman in the early seasons), and watching the latest season is coloured by our knowledge of Richard's death from a heart attack in February, we know they shared a real friendship. They're the kind of friends one feels lucky to have because they know your flaws and love you anyway (almost enough to give you a kidney).

Most LOL quote: "It's totally unfair. I take care of myself all these years: diet, the exercise, the whole thing. For what? I would've been better off just eating crap and smoking. That's what I should've been doing all these years: eating crap and smoking."

The Ida Funkhouser Roadside Memorial, Season 6, Episode 3

This one goes out to everyone who has ever found themselves in desperate need of three bouquets of flowers and decided to pilfer them from the roadside shrine for their friend Marty Funkhouser's mother.

No one? Just Larry?

Not only does Mr David steal three bouquets from the spot marking where Ida was hit by a car, he also tries to lie about it. Because he is Larry David, he feels absolutely no remorse upon being discovered, asking Cheryl for sex moments after a devastated Marty leaves.

More excruciating chaos — and more pilfering from the dead — ensues after Larry sets about trying to retrieve the third bouquet of flowers from a very influential person.

Most LOL quote: "I called your house, I left a condolence message … I never got a return call … that's a little discourteous."

LOS ANGELES (AP) — He’s gone to Carolina in his mind and on tour for much of 2024.

Not long after his 76th birthday, James Taylor & His All-Star Band will take their show on the road in the United States, hitting 24 cities for 31 shows in five months.

Over Zoom from his studio in western Massachusetts, Taylor tells The Associated Press “It’s been September since the last time I’ve been out.” That, he says, is “a long time for me.”

The tour kicks off in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl on May 29 and ends at Wolf Trap Filene Center in Vienna, Virginia, on Sept. 15.

The tour hits Salt Lake City; Morrison, Colorado; Kansas City, Missouri; St. Louis; Highland Park, Illinois; Noblesville, Indiana; Nashville, Tennessee; North Little Rock, Arkansas; Thackerville, Oklahoma; Clarkston, Michigan; Darien Center, New York; Syracuse, New York; Bethel Woods, New York; Bangor, Maine; Gilford, New Hampshire; Lenox, Massachusetts; Philadelphia; Wantagh, New York; Saratoga Springs, New York; Bridgeport, Connecticut; Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, and Boston.

This interview has been edited for clarity and brevity.

AP: Before the continental U.S. tour, you’re headed to Japan, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii. What keeps it interesting?

TAYLOR: The audience, always. The event itself has never failed to supply the motivation and the energy that is required. You know, it’s very compelling to go a great distance and to find a crowd of people that have bought tickets to come see me and the band play again.

Over time, it’s something you learn to do, to keep your strength up, keep your health... also, I don’t do more than a couple of shows in a row without a day off. I’ll do more than that if I’m in one town, but generally speaking, we pace ourselves now.

AP: That’s good advice.

TAYLOR: I definitely burned myself out a few times.

AP: You’re performing at Tanglewood, in your home state of Massachusetts, 50 years since you first performed there. What significance does it hold?

TAYLOR: I was trying to figure out whether or not it was 50 years or 50 shows that I’ve been playing at Tanglewood, and it turns out it’s both. 1974 was the first time I played there. It averages out to one a year, although at one point we skipped a whole decade.

We had an episode where one of my crew members, in a fit of pique, drove a truck across the Tanglewood lawn and made a mess of it. He was told he had to get the truck off the lawn because it had been raining and it was making an imprint on it. As we were breaking down after the show, he was driving out there to unload the mixing board and stuff. But he put it in reverse, stomped the accelerator and tore a great trough, a great furrow in the Tanglewood lawn. And they never asked me back. It was only when (my wife) Kim came along and resurrected my reputation that I was allowed to come back.

It’s been a great privilege... It’s turned out to be a great thing for me, to play Tanglewood every year.

AP: Does an anniversary like that — 50 years — allow you to reflect on your career?

TAYLOR: This is the time of life when you feel like you ought to get in touch with a lawyer and make a will. You see, the older generation, the people that were your friends and mentors, sort of checking out one by one . It is a time when you feel as though things are being summed up a little bit and you start thinking about, the whole thing as a totality. You know, a line from one of my songs, “Copperline,” is “I’m only living ‘til the end of the week,” and I think that really does describe me.

But, you know, it is a period of time when you look back and see the whole thing, it’s important not to internalize that idea of being a big deal. It’s important to focus on what it is that you do — and that thing as a craft that allows you to have your place in the world.

AP: What has that allowed you to learn?

TAYLOR: As time goes by, I think it’s wrong for people to judge other people and even to evaluate them, and yet it’s something we constantly do, and we can’t avoid it. But we should mitigate it by knowing that when we judge someone, we’ve got it wrong. They know who they are, and not we. But, of course, in a million ways, all day long, we evaluate ourselves and other people and it’s complicated. It’s not up to me determine what my ultimate position in popular culture turns out to be 50 years from now.

AP: That’s a value judgment, too.

TAYLOR: I see people selling the rights to their catalogs. That baby boom generation musical expression, which happened between ’62 and 1980, that sort of 20 years of amazing activity that happened, I was in the center of it and actually got my start in London with the Beatles . So, I had a real sense of this generational phenomenon that the music that I was part of, was a big feature in the landscape and we were communicating to each other. We invented a kind of music there. It was predicted by rhythm and blues and folk music. And those two resurgences sort of fueled it and supplied it. It was big.

You see those people now, being in my sort of age group generally, selling the rights to their catalogs and sort of evaluating what their life’s output was worth. You know, David Bowie ’s went for like 250 million. I think (Bob) Dylan ... got like 300 million... (Bruce) Springsteen is said to have gotten more than that, like half a billion or something. It’s sort of like monopoly money.

AP: What do you hope people take away from your live show, and are you working on a new album?

TAYLOR: I feel like I’ve got another one in me — sounds like an egg — but I’m writing a little bit.

And as to what I hope people take away from live performances, I hope they take away a sense of connection. You know, live music — the thing that I’m so attached to about it, why I can’t let it go — is that there’s something (that) happens when people come together for a couple of hours for two or three hours and have a sort of collective experience.

It’s indescribable. You prepare for it, but when it happens, it’s spontaneous and, in a way, unique. I love it when that happens, and it does most nights.

AP: Give us a call if you consider selling your catalog.

TAYLOR: If someone comes sniffing around, I’ll get in touch.
