Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s teen daughters make their red carpet debut with parents

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban made their first public appearance with their teenage daughters.

The family attended the 49th AFI Lifetime Achievement Award Gala at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on April 27, which was held to honor the Kidman as the 2024 recipient of the award.

On the red carpet, Kidman and Urban posed with their two teenage daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

They were joined by more of Kidman's family including her sister, Antonia Kidman, her husband, Craig Marran, nieces Sybella Hawley and Lucia Hawley, and nephew, Alexander Kidman Marran.

At the ceremony, both Meryl Streep and Keith Urban gave touching tributes to Kidman ahead of her award acceptance.

In his speech, the country music star spoke about raising a family with Kidman and said “one of the most beautiful things” is getting to see his wife be a mom. 

“Her and I both come from tight four member family units as well, so we try to do the same for our girls — keeping a tight little unit wherever we are,” Urban said. “We’ll make homes of film locations all over the world.”

In addition to her two daughters with Urban, Kidman adopted two children with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise : Isabella “Bella” Kidman Cruise and Connor Cruise. The “Top Gun” star also shares daughter Suri Cruise with his ex-wife, Katie Holmes.

Though Kidman and Urban tend to keep their daughters out of the public eye, Sunday and Faith have supported their mom before. In February 2021, Kidman, Urban, and their daughters virtually attended the 78th Annual Golden Globe awards when she was nominated for “The Undoing.”

Over the years, Kidman has said on multiple occasions that she wishes that she’d had more children.

“I love, love children,” she told BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire in January 2017. “I love raising children. They make me feel good, and I love being around, and I love the ups and downs, and I love watching them grow and the things they say and teach.”

Kidman told People in January 2019 that had she met Urban before she did in 2005, they “could’ve had 10 of them!” The actor added, “But Keith says, ‘Stop the wanting mind.’ It’s far better to be completely in love and satiated with what you’ve been given, what we’ve been given.”

Though she told Marie Claire Australia that not having more children was one of her biggest regrets, she’s content taking on a motherly role other ways in her life.

“(It’s) OK because I get to mother other children,” she explained. “I have six nieces and nephew, and I’m godmother to 12. I love mothering, I love kids: they’re quirky, funny and unfiltered. And then you get to see them grow and send them on their way.”

Isabella Kidman Cruise, 31

During her 11-year marriage with Cruise , the couple adopted their daughter, Isabella “Bella” Kidman Cruise , when she was 25.

Kidman doesn’t often discuss her previous relationship with Cruise nor the couple’s children together. She told Australia’s Who magazine in November 2018 that she is “very private” about her eldest children, adding, “I have to protect all those relationships.”

The “Big Little Lies” star added, “I know 150 percent that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is.”

Isabella and her brother, Connor, both belong to the Church of Scientology like their father. While Kidman has no affiliation with the organization, she told the magazine that he children “are able to make their own decisions.”

“They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them,” she added. “And I am an example of that tolerance, and that’s what I believe — that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love and I’m open here.”

As for her personal life, Isabella has been married to Max Parker since 2015. In February 2018, she launched her own fashion brand, BKC. On her website , she sells t-shirts, pins, and tote bags along with prints. 

Connor Cruise, 29

Kidman and Cruise also adopted their son Connor Cruise during their marriage.

Much like his older sister, he tends to keep a low profile and stays out of the public eye. He was most recently photographed at Milan Fashion Week in February 2023.

Connor has also been photographed with his dad over the years.

He made a rare appearance with Cruise in London in October 2019. They were photographed walking toward a private helicopter, with People reporting that Cruise showed his son “aviation basics.”

The father-son duo were photographed together again in October 2021 , this time in San Francisco. They attended the San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers playoff game at Oracle Park.

Connor briefly pursued a career as an actor and starred in two movies, 2008’s “Seven Pounds” and 2012’s “Red Dawn.” He has also performed as a DJ in the past, including at his 21st birthday.

Today, Connor isn’t very active on social media, but has posted in the past about his hobby, deep-sea fishing .

Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban, 15

As parents, Kidman and Urban have been protective of their daughters and seldom share their faces on social media. For Sunday’s 11th birthday in July 2019, Kidman shared a photo of her daughters from the back in front of the clock at Musee d’Orsay museum.

Despite not showing their faces publicly, Kidman and Urban have shared plenty of sweet sentiments about their daughters during interviews over the years.

Kidman opened up to Glamour UK in November 2020 about how her daughters were handling periods of isolation during lockdown in the early days of the coronavirus pandemic. 

“For a 12-year-old, it’s about not being able to access friends easily — that’s a whole thing which every parent will be going through,” Kidman explained. “And then, there’s a 9-year-old, who’s socially forming. One of the hardest things is just watching them pine and yearn for their friends. I pine and yearn for my friends too.”

The “Somebody Like You” singer also opened up to TODAY’s Dylan Dreyer in September 2021 about whether his daughters were leaning toward following in the footsteps of their mom or dad more . 

Urban said it was “a bit of both” at the time, adding, “More directing than acting, which would be kind of good.”

Though their kids are still young, both Sunday and Faith made their film debut in 2019 in “The Angry Birds Movie 2.” Sunday voiced the character Lily, a yellow chick, while Faith voiced Beatrice, a purple baby bird.

Faith Margaret Kidman-Urban, 13

Kidman and Urban welcomed their daughter, Faith Margaret, on Dec. 28, 2010.

The actor has given brief glimpses of her daughters over the years in posts on social media.

In May 2019, Kidman shared a photo hugging her daughters , though only the backs of their head were visible. In January 2021, she posted a throwback video with both of her daughters as they enjoyed time near Australia’s Uluru rock formation.

When Urban appeared on TODAY back in August 2015, he shared some of his daughters’ musical abilities when asked if they played any instruments yet.

“Sunday and Faith, they have a few instruments they like to play,” he explained. “A little bit of piano and Faith, she’s got a little pink guitar that she likes to play as well. Bongos, maracas, tambourine, triangle — she’s just getting started.”

Like other celebrity parents, Kidman’s daughters help to keep her humble.

“The great equalizer is showing the Emmys to Sunny and Faith,” Kidman told TODAY in October 2017. “They don’t want them. It’s so funny. It’s such a kid thing. Sunday was like, ‘Mama, I know you said we could put in our shelf but it won’t fit. We have enough things on the shelf.’”

Kidman is set to receive the prestigious American Film Institute Life Achievement Award on Saturday, April 27, commemorating her remarkable four-decade journey in show business. Reflecting on her career, the 56-year-old actress recently took to social media to share a nostalgic moment, posting a clip from her debut film.

Nicole made her cinematic debut as a teenager in the 1983 remake of the Australian classic Bush Christmas, filmed when she was around 14 years old. She shared a clip from the moving, showing Nicole’s signature curls styled in pigtails as she smiled for the camera.

While Bella didn’t leave a comment, the single like provides rare insight into their dynamic, especially amid allegations they’ve been estranged. It shows that Isabella is supportive of her mom, even if she remains silent about their relationship, which isn’t uncharacteristic, given she lives her life largely out of the spotlight.

Isabella was adopted after Kidman's traumatic ectopic pregnancy

Born on December 22, 1992, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman adopted Isabella Cruise shortly after her biological mother gave birth to her. According to the "Moulin Rouge!" actor, she knew she wanted to have babies shortly after tying the knot in 1990 (via People ). Unfortunately, her complications with pregnancy made this a difficult task. In an interview with Marie Claire in 2007, Kidman revealed that she had an ectopic pregnancy — a pregnancy that occurs outside of the uterus — at the beginning of her marriage to Tom. "It was incredibly traumatic," she told the publication. "What will be will be. It's in God's hands."

Kidman's sorrow quickly turned to optimism as she began to consider adoption. For her, there was no issue in doing so since she felt like there were no differences between raising a biological child versus an adopted one (via YouTube ). Luckily for Kidman and Tom, this worked out and they were able to hold Isabella the same day she was born. In 2001, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's decade-long relationship ended. From marrying the same year they met, Kidman revealed that since they were madly in love, their divorce was a "shock to the system" (via E! News ). While it was a hard time for Kidman, the two had to cooperate as co-parents. Following their divorce, Tom and Kidman shared custody of their kids, Isabella and Connor Cruise. Still, Tom ultimately became a full-time parent as the pair decided to live with him in Los Angeles, California instead.

Though she made an effort to see them regularly, she has since suggested that she wouldn't mind them living with her. "They live with Tom, which was their choice. At a young age, she learned how to respond to false rumors very well

Life under megastars like Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman can sometimes result in unnecessary attention from the general public. With her father oftentimes on the receiving end of harsh criticism, it can be tiresome reading crude remarks about him and watching it affect his livelihood as a human being. From prying interview questions to misleading rumors, Tom, on many occasions, has also found himself dealing with unnecessary public attention in a poor manner. During an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2008, Tom revealed that if something were to come out that caused Isabella and Connor Cruise to react negatively, he'd reiterate that everything is okay and not to get caught up by what the media says. As the daughter of acting megastars, many assumed that Isabella Cruise would follow in her parent's footsteps. Though it would've been fulfilling to carry on their legacy — which Connor Cruise did briefly — Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman encouraged their daughter to follow her own path. As an imaginative child, Tom jokingly stated in an interview that Isabella doesn't seem to have an interest in acting. "I don't know if Bella will be an actress," he said (via the Daily Mail ). "Right now, she says she wants to be a bear when she grows up."

Instead, she decided to venture off into the world of fashion, a passion her ex-stepmom, Katie Holmes, entertained. After briefly working for Holmes' clothing line, Holmes & Yang, Isabella enrolled in Sassoon Academy in London to pursue a career in cosmetology. There, Isabella completed a 12-month diploma course which resulted in her getting a job as a hairdresser. Isabella then attended the prestigious institute, Delamar Academy of Make-Up and Hair — a university that is responsible for several of its graduates becoming hair and make-up artists in the TV and film industry. She allegedly called her mother a 'suppressed person'

Following Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise's divorce, rumors began to circulate surrounding Kidman's relationship with Isabella and Connor Cruise. The sporadic nature of their split coincided with Kidman seemingly leaving Scientology — a celebrity-centric religion that garnered a bad reputation for its cult-like practices. From homeschooling to being under heavy supervision, many believe that the cause for Kidman's absence from the Cruise household is rooted in their opposing religious beliefs. 

In an interview with Who Magazine , Kidman stated that while she doesn't share the same beliefs as her children, she still loves them dearly. "They are able to make their own decisions," she told the publication. "They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it's my job to love them."

An excerpt from Leah Remini's memoir  "Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology" suggested that Isabella was not on good terms with her mother. In the book, the ex-Scientologist stated that she started to get close to the two kids when she was heavily involved with the Church of Scientology. Remini questioned the nature of Isabella and Connor's relationship with their mother. One day, the "King of Queens" star asked them if they visit their mother frequently. According to Remini, Isabella replied: "Not if I have a choice. Our mom is a f***ing SP [Suppressed Person]" (via Us Weekly ). Within the church, a "suppressed person" is a label used to describe anyone who opposes Scientology.

She didn't invite her parents to her wedding in 2015

Alongside her professional pursuits, Isabella Cruise seemingly built a life in London worth staying for. Although her family resides in the United States, Isabella prefers a secluded life away from intrusive photographers capturing every second of her life. In 2015, Isabella quietly got married to British I.T. consultant, Max Parker. With publications confirming the news one month after it occurred, Isabella opted for a small ceremony with only a few in attendance. Surprisingly enough, not even her parents got an invite for this momentous occasion.

The small ceremony was held at the Dorchester Hotel in London, with her parents nowhere to be found. While this stirred up questions regarding her relationship with her parents, reports state that Tom Cruise paid for the event — suggesting that he approved of the marriage. As for Nicole Kidman, she reportedly didn't know about the wedding, to begin with. Sources claim that the wedding was "Scientology-themed," which could explain the reason for her absence. 

Though we're sure Tom and Kidman are happy for Isabella, it raised further questions that the public wanted answers to. In one interview, Isabella attempted to put those rumors to rest saying that she's still in touch with her parents, despite their absence from her wedding. "Of course we talk," she stated (via Hello! ). "They're my parents!"

Isabella is a certified auditor within the Church of Scientology

According to Leah Remini, Isabella Cruise's childhood heavily revolved around Scientology thanks to her father. Through this, she, Connor Cruise, and even Suri Cruise experienced years of homeschooling, Scientology-based camps, and heavy surveillance under the Church of Scientology. Despite Nicole Kidman's opposing views on the celebrity-centric religion, Isabella held on to her beliefs as she grew up. So much so, that she eventually became a certified auditor within the Church of Scientology (via People ). In Scientology, auditors are higher-ups who help others through their self-examination process — ultimately guiding them as they convert to their religious lifestyle. Given the list of responsibilities bestowed on auditors, there need to be preparations in place for those seeking the position. 

According to Isabella's testimonial, she revealed that after a string of tests, she finally became an auditor. In her testimonial, she expressed her gratitude toward her father, her aunt (Catherine Cass Mapother), and the church for encouraging her to finish the training. "It turned out it was exactly what I needed," she stated (via Tony Ortega ). "I dragged out the testing and correction, just made it through the drilling and then finally began my auditing adventure, and wow, I wasn't prepared. This is what I had been searching for. The missing piece."

She named her clothing line after her mother

While Connor Cruise has multiple passions ranging from music to competitive fishing, a quick peek at Isabella Cruise's Instagram will show you that she's a person of many interests as well. Though her venture as a hairdresser seemed to be her calling, Isabella is not afraid to flex her artistic skills to her string of followers online. Aside from the occasional selfie, Isabella's feed is flooded with several dark conceptual pieces mixed with portraits of public figures, like Guy Fieri. Isabella, however, used her background in fashion to capitalize on her artistic vision. 

In 2018, Isabella flexed her creative muscles when she launched a clothing line named,  Bella Kidman Cruise . From T-shirts to tote bags, her online store has a wide range of self-made designs available for purchase. Aside from the incredible business venture, fans have grown aware of the fact that Isabella named the company after her mother, Nicole Kidman. Not only did Isabella pay homage to her mom with one of her designs that read  "Protect your mother and she'll protect you," but she also posted a portrait of the "Big Little Lies" actor in 2020 (via Instagram ). In an interview with Entertainment Tonight , Kidman expressed her love for this creative project, stating: "I think it's such a great way to express [yourself] and Bella is a beautiful drawer as well. She's always been able to draw."

She was a contributing artist for an art exhibit hosted by Courtney Love

September 17th, 2021, marked the 30th anniversary of Hole's debut album, "Pretty on the Inside." Coming from a punk influence, the band sought to tackle a range of topics regarding self-confidence, religion, parental neglect, and most importantly, women's rights. Paired with intentional anarchic-like instrumentation, this was the band's first major success — selling over 200,000 copies in the United States. To celebrate the monumental milestone, lead singer, Courtney Love, arranged a philanthropic event at Parliament Tattoo in London in October in hopes to support Treasure Foundation and Clean Break Women's Charities — both of which are organizations that represent similar values to their album was built around.

Through this, Courtney Love invited several artists to donate their work. As an artist who resides in London, Isabella Cruise participated in the event. In light of the news, Isabella announced her involvement in the art exhibition and expressed her gratitude on Instagram . "Is this real life?" she wrote. "I am beyond excited to be taking part in this exhibition with the incredible Courtney Love and Parliament Tattoo, to celebrate 30 years of Hole's Pretty on the Inside. All for charity. What a dream."

She's seemingly not close with Suri Cruise

Tom Cruise started dating Katie Holmes  in 2005. With Isabella Cruise living with him at the time, Tom had to be cautious of how she and her brother, Connor Cruise, perceived his potential love interest. In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Tom revealed how they quickly embraced Holmes because of her love for sweets. From there, the two were more than happy to make her a part of their household — which made breaking the news about their baby sister a lot easier. On April 18, 2006, Suri Cruise was born, and according to the "Mission: Impossible" actor, they were extremely welcoming to their half-sister. "They were really excited about it," he told Winfrey (via YouTube ). "It was that whole thing of having a little sister. "

While Isabella had a close relationship with Suri following her birth, another nasty divorce reared its ugly head. According to Connor's  Instagram page , Isabella apparently maintained a strong connection with her brother since the divorce but left Suri out of their appreciation posts for each other. Considering that 2010 was the last time Isabella made a public outing with Suri, Holmes' sudden departure from the Cruise household potentially strained Isabella's relationship with her half-sister. Since the kids lead private lives, it's difficult to determine the status of their relationship. It's safe to assume, however, that Isabella and Suri aren't as close as they were when they were children.

Isabella is reportedly rebuilding her relationship with her mother

Following her parents' divorce, it seemed as though Isabella Cruise's relationship with Nicole Kidman was nonexistent. While divorce is hard for all parties involved, a string of events that occurred after their split made us believe that the Cruise kids were not on good terms with their mother. In 2012, Isabella revealed that they were still in touch, stating: "I love mom. She's my mom. She's great. I see her sometimes and I speak to her" (via the  Daily Mail ). However, in 2018, fans speculated that Kidman's relationship with Isabella and her brother grew sour since she left them out of her speech after winning an Emmy — even though she mentioned her other kids, Sunday and Faith Urban.

In addition to naming her clothing business after her, it seems that Isabella is taking the necessary steps to rebuild her relationship with her mother. According to RadarOnline , an insider told the publication that despite their prior differences, Isabella and Kidman are making an effort in improving their mother-and-daughter connection. "Bella and Nicole have really grown closer over the past few months," the insider stated. "They're both focusing on moving forward with their relationship." Although we're sure they never stopped loving one another, it is heartwarming to see the two mend their broken bond.

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s 28-year-old daughter Isabella shared a rare video of herself in a post to her Instagram Story on Wednesday.

The artist, who goes by the name Bella, posted a clip of herself while watching England play in the Euro 2020 match.

“My face during extra time…fingers crossed,” she captioned the short black-and-white video along with an emoji of England’s flag.

In the post, Bella was seen wearing a graphic T-shirt and a nose ring. She was also rocking curly hair with her winged eyeliner look.

The daughter of Cruise and Kidman has historically been quite private about sharing photos of herself and mainly posts snaps of her art to her social media page. However, every now and then she has shared a photo of herself to her page.

In February, she shared a selfie to her Instagram during a snowy winter day where she appeared bundled up in a hat and scarf.

“Same face, new prints now available on the shop,” she had captioned the post.

And in May 2020, she posted a photo of herself that revealed her many arm tattoos, which include a small pineapple.

While she is known for staying under the radar, Bella did open up about her experience with the Church of Scientology in March 2019.

Kidman has spoken freely about her daughter’s choice to join the organization, telling Australia’s Who magazine , “They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them.”

Cruise, 59, and Kidman, 54, were married from 1990 to 2001 and share two kids together: Bella and 26-year-old Connor.

Connor, who is slightly more active on social media than his sister, also posted a selfie this week and shared a snap of himself at the Stanley Cup final hockey game to his Instagram Story on Wednesday.

The “Big Little Lies” actress also shares two kids with her second husband, Keith Urban.

Meanwhile, the “Top Gun” actor shares daughter Suri, 15, with ex-wife Katie Holmes, whom he was married to from 2006 to 2012. Cruise was also married to Mimi Rogers from 1987 to 1990, though they have no children together.

Finding images of Tom Cruise’s adopted daughter is usually a mission impossible — until now.

Isabella “Bella” Kidman Cruise made a rare social media appearance on Sunday, Sept. 17, when she shared a selfie on her Instagram .

In the carefree picture captioned “What a summer,” the 30-year-old looks coyly at the camera. Donning a simple white top with a cute bow decorating her décolletage, the brunette shows off her appreciation of jewelry wearing a number of gold necklaces around her neck and a gold ring in her nose.

Bella, an artist, normally shares images of work with her nearly 52,000 followers.

According to her website , “Bella has been drawing ever since her wee hands could pick up a pen. Since that point in time she’s been evolving in her arts.”

Bella sells her work on reasonably priced totes, pins and limited edition prints. “Her go-to medium was pen and paper for most of her life,” the site explains. “However, she is now venturing into other formats and mediums. Including digital. Which has been a bit of a game changer in her opinion.”

Bella was adopted by Cruise, 60, and Nicole Kidman, 55, in 1992 after the couple married in 1990. The Hollywood pair also share a son Connor, 28.

Bella and Conor have chosen to stay mostly out of the limelight and in the past their superstar parents have chosen to keep their children’s lives out of the public eye as well.

“I’m very private about all that,” the Academy Award-winning actress told Australian outlet  Who  in 2018. “I have to protect all those relationships. I know 150 per cent that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is.”

Kidman is set to be awarded the Life Achievement Award at the The American Film Institute (AFI) ceremony on June 10, but it is rumored that Connor and Bella may not be in attendance although they have both been invited.

“Nicole knows Connor is extremely loyal to his dad so she doesn’t expect him to come, but the invitation is there for both of them,” an alleged source tells  New Idea . ‘It’s an event they have every right to celebrate along with the rest of Nicole’s family.”

The source added: “Nicole is trying to limit her expectations, but is clinging to hope Bella might make it.”

Also set to be in attendance at the ceremony are Kidman’s two daughters Sunday, 14, and Faith, 12, whom she shares with her husband Keith Urban.

2. She’s married. Isabella — or Bella, as she’s known — married British I.T. consultant Max Parker after less than a year of dating. The pair have continued to reside in the United Kingdom, and are occasionally seen strolling through North London. In 2017, they were seen moving into a new home in the Croydon area. Isabella and Max are often holding hands in their photos, proving just how in love they are! Mom Nicole didn’t attend the wedding, but it was reported she met Max the following year.

3. She a Scientologist. Like her dad Tom Cruise, Isabella is a devout scientologist . “[Isabella and Connor] have made choices to be Scientologists. It’s our job as a parent to always offer unconditional love,” Nicole said in a 2019 interview with The Sun . “It’s not about anything else other than, ‘I’m here to love and support you’,” the Oscar winner added.

4. She has siblings. In addition to brother Connor, 25, Isabella is also a big sister to Tom Cruise and her former stepmom Katie Holmes’ daughter Suri Cruise , 14. Through her mom and stepdad Keith Urban, Isabella has siblings Sunday Rose , 12, and Faith Margaret , 9.

She continued, "[My character] Sue is deeply maternal and full of unconditional love, which is beautiful. That's why I wanted to do it. I relate to that. I feel that for my own children who are adopted. It's not about anything else other than, 'I wanted you.' It's that deep and personal, and whatever your journey is, I'm here to love and support you. That's what I connected to."

It’s time to finally meet the Kidman-Urbans.

On Saturday, Nicole Kidman and her husband, Keith Urban , were accompanied by their daughters, Sunday Rose, 15, and Faith Margaret, 13, at the American Film Institute Life Achievement Award Gala, which honored Kidman.

The event marked the official red carpet debut for the teens, whose parents have kept them out of the spotlight throughout their lives.

Kidman and Urban were also joined by Kidman’s sister, Antonia Kidman and her family — which includes Antonia’s husband, Craig Marran, and Kidman’s nieces, Sybella Hawley and Lucia Hawley, and nephew, Alexander Kidman Marran.

“They are here to support me, and they’re very, very supportive and incredibly loving,” the Oscar winner told People of her two daughters she shares with Urban.

Kidman also has two older children — Isabella “Bella” Kidman Cruise, 31, and Connor Cruise, 29 — with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise.

At the ceremony, Urban gave a touching speech about Kidman ahead of her award acceptance, Today reports. According to the outlet, during the country music star’s sweet tribute to his wife, he spoke lovingly about how much he loved watching Kidman be a mom, saying it is “one of the most beautiful things.”

“Her and I both come from tight four member family units as well, so we try to do the same for our girls — keeping a tight little unit wherever we are,” Urban said. “We’ll make homes of film locations all over the world.”

Although the AFI event was Rose and Faith Marget’s first red carpet event, they have made another public appearance. In February 2021, Kidman, Urban, and their daughters virtually attended the 78th Annual Golden Globe awards when Kidman was nominated for “The Undoing.”

Over the years Kidman has expressed that she wishes she had more children.

“I love, love children,” she told BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire in January 2017. “I love raising children. They make me feel good, and I love being around, and I love the ups and downs, and I love watching them grow and the things they say and teach.”

They come to this place to celebrate Nicole Kidman's magic.

On Saturday, the actress was honored with a Life Achievement Award from the American Film Institute during a star-studded gala in Hollywood. The Oscar-winning " Big Little Lies " star, 56, and her husband, Keith Urban , took photos on the red carpet with their daughters Sunday Rose, 15, and Faith Margaret, 13.

Kidman's sister Antonia Kidman and niece Sybella Hawley also joined her on the carpet, and Naomi Watts , Reese Witherspoon , Michelle Pfeiffer , Cynthia Erivo and Morgan Freeman were among the stars who attended the event.

Kidman wore a gold gown and took a bow as she received a standing ovation upon taking the stage. In a speech, Urban described his wife as "raw" and "resilient," according to video shared on social media by Variety . "She has the capacity to love like no one I've ever met," Urban said before telling Kidman that "next year will be 20 years that I've been madly in love with you."

Freeman also starred in a parody of Kidman's famous AMC ads, with the "Shawshank Redemption" actor paying tribute to the magic of the actress herself. "Somehow, she makes heartbreak feel good in a place like this," he said in the spoof video, according to a clip shared by The Hollywood Reporter .

But on "The Tonight Show" years later, she told Fallon that "I liked you," leading a stunned Fallon to ask, "Did I date Nicole Kidman?" Fallon told Deadline that Kidman "totally blindsided him" by dropping this bombshell. "My face just melted," he said. "It was the most embarrassing thing."

But according to Fallon, this has turned into a running joke between himself and Urban. He recalled jokingly approaching Urban at the Met Gala and telling the musician, "I think that we might have dated once." Fallon also recounted a time Urban urged him to approach Kidman at an event and hold her hand so she would think he was her husband.

"I sat next to Nicole and I grabbed her hand and she held it like it was Keith's, probably," he said. "She was kind of rubbing it and she was having this conversation, and then he went across the table to the person she was talking to, and he's like, 'Hi, Nic.' And she's like, 'What? Nicole Kidman has rarely spoken about her divorce from Tom Cruise , but she has admitted in a rare comment that it has made her "wary" in her relationship with her husband Keith Urban.

The Big Little Lies actress, 56, reflected on her high-profile marriage with the Mission Impossible star, 61, which lasted from 1990 to 2001, during which time they adopted kids Connor and Isabella. See inside their relationship...

Two years before their split, the former couple's relationship was put under the microscope following their convincing portrayal of a jealous couple in the film Eyes Wide Shut. Nicole shut down any rumours of problems and insisted their impressive acting skills were not a reflection of their real-life relationship.

Addressing the intense media interest in their marriage and split, Nicole told  Harper's Bazaar : "I was young. I think I offered it up? Maybe I've gotten a bit more trepidatious, but I'm always trying to be as open as possible. I just prefer to live in the world that way."

Looking at how her past has impacted her current marriage, she said: "I'm wary at times, and I've been hurt, but at the same time I much prefer a warm approach rather than a prickly shutdown approach. My husband, Keith, says that when he met me, he said, 'How's your heart?' And I apparently responded, 'Open.'"

Nicole had been single for four years before meeting her second husband Keith at G’Day L.A in 2005. During that time, her career was going from strength to strength, but she previously discussed her private struggles in her personal life . 

One year after being nominated for an Oscar for her role in Moulin Rouge, she won Best Actress for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in The Hours. In the hours after her huge career accomplishment, she said she had an epiphany about her love life. 

Celebrating her win by eating takeout on the floor of the Beverly Hills Hotel with her family, Nicole told Dave Karger for his book 50 Oscar Nights: "I went to bed alone; I was in bed before midnight. If I ever won again, I'm telling you, I'd be out for 24 hours.

"I sat on the floor of the hotel eating French fries and a burger with my family and went to bed. That's when it hit me. I went, 'I need to find my love; I need a love in my life.' Because this is supposed to be when you go, 'This is ours.'"

Nicole went on to discuss the start of her relationship with Keith, claiming that her attraction was initially one-sided.

After heading his speech about his mother, Harper's Bazaar reported that Nicole's sister whispered to her: "Well, it doesn’t get much better than that," and she replied: "Yeah, but he’s not gonna be interested in me."

Nicole says that she and Keith have different recollections of his first impressions of her. "He actually wasn’t that interested in me at the time – which he now says is not true; he was just sort of intimidated," she said, before stating her feelings intensified once they began chatting on the phone four months later.

"I was really, really into him. He took a little time. And he’s like, ‘That is so incorrect, Nicole,'" she said. 

Their enduring love story is a testament to their mutual feelings for one another. Nicole and Keith got married in Sydney in 2006 and they are now parents to daughters Sunday and Faith.

Since then, the couple have reiterated that they have a "normal" relationship despite their respective fame. On Jessica Rowe's podcast series, The Big Talk Show, Keith said: "We're just a couple who work things out, go through things together, life, and support each other the best way we can and try and raise our family. Underneath it all, we're as normal as you can get I reckon."

Nicole also told Today: "We don't want to be a pin-up couple. We just want to be a couple that has a great life together."

Isabella "Bella" Kidman Cruise is feeling happy with her new hairstyle.

The 30-year-old daughter of Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise revealed her latest beauty move on social media.

In a rare selfie shared to her Instagram Story Wednesday, Bella shows off her new dark brunette shoulder-length shag haircut and bangs.

The star visited stylist Jennifer Ball , co-owner of Laundry for Hair, who from the looks of her social media profile, specializes in the edgy, shag style.

Bella accessorized her new mane with a black beret, berry-hued lipstick and a white lace top. "Hair is giving me so much joy still. Thank you," she captioned the snapshot tagging her hair pro.

This wouldn't be the first time Bella has turned up the volume regarding her hairstyles.

Last September, she posted a rare selfie that gave fans a look at her hair at the time. It appears that Bella decided to take her layers darker after sporting an auburn shade and a slightly more close-cropped 'do.

She paired her rock 'n roll shag with a The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou graphic tee shirt, a red beanie and a bandana tied around her neck. Her jewelry of choice was a dainty gold septum ring.

The post was simply captioned with a cowboy hat-wearing smiley face emoji.

Bella, who works as an artist and designer according to her website , doesn't often share photos of herself online and keeps a low-key public presence.

In 2015 PEOPLE confirmed that she married her then-boyfriend Max Parker during an intimate ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel in London that September.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban brought along two special surprise guests as they celebrated her latest honor.

On April 27, the Oscar winner and her husband were accompanied by  their daughters Sunday Rose , 15, and  Faith Margaret , 13, at the 2024 American Film Institute Life (AFI) Achievement Award Gala honoring the actress. It marked the official red carpet debut for the teens, whose parents have kept them out of the spotlight throughout their lives.

The Big Little Lies actress—also the mother of Bella Cruise , 31, and  Connor Cruise , 29, who she raised with ex-husband Tom Cruise —glittered in a gold sequin Balenciaga gown at the Los Angeles event. Her and Keither's daughters donned Monique Lhuillier dresses—Sunday wore a white floral strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline and Faith sported a strapless coral gown.

The Moulin Rouge star, Keith and their girls—who, despite keeping away from the spotlight, did make a brief remote appearance with their parents during the 2021 Golden Globes broadcast—were also joined by other members of Nicole's family at the AFI gala.

Seen with the four were her sister  Antonia Kidman , brother-in-law  Craig Marran and niece  Sybella Hawley , 17, who wore a red gown and stood beside Faith as they posed for group photos.

In addition to being a family affair, the event was also a star-studded one. Celebrity guests and participants included Nicole's  Big Little Lies costars  Reese Witherspoon   and Meryl Streep , Zac Efron —who starred with her in  The Paperboy ,  Special Ops: Lioness costars Morgan Freeman and Zoe Saldaña , Naomi Watts ,  Michelle Pfeiffer , Miles Teller and  Keleigh Sperry Teller and  Jane Seymour .
