RuPaul's Drag Race favorites Kameron Michaels, Rosé, Asia O'Hara and Jaida Essence Hall, plus Season 14 finalists Angeria Paris VanMicheals, Daya Betty and Jorgeous, are expected to perform when the tour launches in Fort Lauderdale.

Jon Norris of Voss Events, is the producer of the tour that kicks off its North America run at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale.
Rosé from Scotland competed on Season 13 of "RuPaul's Drag Race."
Kameron Michaels competed on "RuPaul's Drag Race" in 2018, making it to runner-up and earning the moniker "the lip sync assassin" of season 10.
Think of it as a runway to the rest of the country. The live performance spotlighting fan favorites from the TV female impersonator competition is set for Friday, July 8, at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
Drag-a-licious devotees can look forward to seeing popular faux-femmes Kameron Michaels, Rosé, Asia O’Hara and Jaida Essence Hall, as well as Season 14 finalists Angeria Paris VanMicheals, Daya Betty and Jorgeous.
The upcoming three-month tour throughout the United States and Canada comes on the high heels of the European leg, which started in Copenhagen in April and ended in Madrid in June.
“They went wild,” says Jon Norris from Voss Events, the tour’s producer. “I don’t know if it’s pent-up energy or what. We haven’t been there in two years. Usually we are on a yearly tour. They sold out immediately.”
The production is very different from other RuPaul-related touring performances.
“The show was [created] for very big arenas 5,000 to 10,000 capacity,” Norris explains. “It has a coliseum look and feel, instead of something for a traditional musical theater venue.”
One of the performers, Kameron Michaels, joined the European tour in its last two weeks.
“I’m walking into work with performers … where I had to learn the closing choreography number in about 30 minutes the day of the first show,” Michaels recalls. “That was the craziest thing for me. People don’t know, [but when they] watch Beyoncé in a performance, that tour has been in the studio rehearsing for months.
“The thing we have with our shows are two rehearsals and then we’re onstage. We don’t have the time for all those rehearsals.”
Michaels appeared in Season 10 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in 2018. Since then, Michaels (aka Dane Young) has appeared in the Las Vegas residency show “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!” and several official touring drag shows.
The South Florida Sun Sentinel chatted with Michaels recently while the drag artist was resting at his new home in Las Vegas. See excerpts from the question-and-answer session below.
Q: What makes this show unique from previous tours?
A: I would say the performers and the cast and the dancers, the tech, everyone involved really comes together to tell this really fun, new story. The last one we did was planetary, every performer represented a different planet. This time … I don’t want to give too much away. We are entering a time machine. Asia O’Hara, she is this time machine captain trying to get back to Season 10 to avoid her butterfly catastrophe (in a crucial finale lip-sync battle, O’Hara gimmick of releasing live butterflies famously fell flat), but we keep landing in these different time periods. Each queen represents a different time period that Asia lands in. It’s a drag show, but it’s not just a drag show. It’s telling a story. I really enjoy it.
Q: What did you learn from the Vegas residency that you’re applying to your stage appearances now?
A: Performing in front of a large audience more frequently helped me adjust the nerves. It doesn’t matter how seasoned a performer you are, the nerves come and go. My nerves just kind of walked out the window. Vegas really conditioned me like, “Oh, there’s celebrities in the audience, oh, RuPaul is in the front row because she wants to see how her show is going.” I just give 110% energy to every audience.
Q: How did you get your drag name?
A: I wish I had an interesting story about my drag name. My drag name is Kameron, an androgynous name, something not quite as feminine, could be a boy or girl name. And then Michaels … I just wanted something different than everyone else in Nashville (where he started performing in gay clubs). There were no other Michaels in Nashville. And that’s it really.
Q: Any new tattoos?
A: I have not found an artist. The artist that has done 90% of my tattoos passed away a couple of years ago. The last one I got was a tattoo of “Season 10? behind my ears. We all swore we would. All those other queens swore that we’re all going to get that tattoo. I think I’m the only one that went through with it.
Q: Have you spent any time in South Florida?
A: When I was living in Nashville, we would go to Fort Lauderdale. I went to that Gay Pride on the Beach with all the little tents. I’ve been going there as a Pride performer a few times, and then we’ve done several shows in Miami. I took my mom on a trip to South Beach. Having seen [the movie] “Birdcage,” seeing that little part of Miami [Beach] is really cool.”

‘rupaul’s drag race: werq the world tour 2022’ ready to rev its engine at playhouse square, jaida essence hall talks about the show, friendship with fellow performer jorgeous.
Between the intense travel, demanding choreography, elaborate costuming and makeup artistry — it’s a lot of heavy lifting.
Drag during the pandemic lockdown of 2020 was a whole other animal.
If anyone should know, it’s Jaida Essence Hall (also called Jared Johnson when out of drag), the winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 12, who snatched the crown from her living room back in 2020.
Lip-synching for her life from her couch, she proved top-tier drag performances can happen anywhere, even via Zoom.
Hall is set to perform July 31 in “Rupaul’s Drag Race: Werq the World Tour 2022” at Playhouse Square in Cleveland.
She’ll perform alongside a slew of other loveable RuGirls from various seasons. The stars slated to perform in the Cleveland show include Daya Betty, Angeria, Vanjie, Kameron, Rose, Jorgeous and Asia O’Hara.
As the tour’s name implies, this show travels the globe, giving the queens who haven’t worked together yet nothing but bonding time, which Hall is excited about.
“When you’re on the tour, you are separated from all your family and friends. We all only have each other so we can have like this really cool bond,” she says during a recent phone interview.
“We kind of get to know what makes each other tick and what each other loves. So we just get really close.”
Right now, Hall says she’s the closest with Jorgeous, the 22-year-old queen from season 14, best known for her impressive interpretation of Jennifer Lopez.
“She’s, like, literally everything to me,” Halls says. “She’s so funny.
“She loves to have a good time.”
Touring the world may be a newer experience for Hall, but she’s not new to performing lavish routines in RuPaul productions.
Before this tour, Hall was also part of the cast of “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!” — a popular residency show in Las Vegas.
“The shows are two completely different types of shows,” Hall says about the Vegas residency and this current world tour. “I love that, thankfully, I was able to participate in both.”
Hall says the Vegas shows were more predictable and, of course, a little more convenient because the audience comes to you.
“With the tour, some days there are challenges all the time: Sometimes things aren’t delivered on time; a truck might not get there in time; or we’ll have to push back rehearsals. So it’s very spontaneous compared to Vegas.”
Challenges aside, Hall says the tour has an extra exciting element to it.
“I think it’s a lot more fun on tour,” she says. “Some people are not able to travel to Vegas, so they might not ever get the chance to see (the show) unless you come specifically to their area.
Plus, Hall returned to the show on “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” for this current season and had been hoping to land the “All-Star” winner title. Unfortunately for her, she recently was eliminated.
She has the tour to keep her busy — and lots of other special moments to look back on from this year alone.
Just this spring, the cast of “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!” joined Katy Perry on stage during her Vegas residency show, “PLAY.”
The pop star hammed it up with the cast on stage, toppling over Hall and fellow queen Trinity K. Bonet during one dance moment.
“It was the best thing ever,” Hall says about the unexpected encounter.
“It was like, ‘Oh my god, Katy Perry was literally on top of me.’ It was like a threesome I never thought I would have.”
Tossing things back to the beginning of her drag career, Hall explains where the inspiration for her work comes from.
“I feel like the people in my life are the ones who have inspired my drag the most. Like, my grandmother, she was like so, so glam,” Hall says.
“I also think one of the best things about her was that she always looked great, but it didn’t change what her character was. It didn’t change her heart. It didn’t change her sense of humor.
“So for me, when I’m in drag, I wanna look great, but I do know what’s more important than just looking good: It’s about who you are and what you can do.”
Hall is ready to show Cleveland what she can do.
Although she’s checked every other major Ohio city off her list, this stop at Playhouse Square marks her first visit to Cleveland.
“I kinda wanna go there and scream, ‘Drew Carey,’” she says.
“I wanna come to Cleveland and see what it’s all about.”

Review: RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE: WERQ THE WORLD, OVO Hydro
BWW Review: RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE: WERQ THE WORLD, OVO Hydro
After a two year long wait, the RuPaul's Drag Race: Werq The World tour has finally landed in Glasgow. Hosted by Asia O'Hara, the audience is taken on a journey as O'Hara tries to turn back time to the end of season 10 of RuPaul's Drag Race to change herstory forever. Things don't go entirely to plan and the Queens wind up in various different time periods.
The timeline hops from the Spanish/English war to the Mayan era, prehistoric period, the swinging sixties and ancient Greece. The production values here are huge and each performance is quite the spectacle between the stunning costumes, ensemble dancers and huge screens with graphics setting the scene. As someone unfamiliar with RuPaul's Drag Race, I didn't feel as though the Queens were well introduced although I was definitely in the minority as the arena was packed with fans screaming for their favourites. The warmest welcome of the night was held for Rosé as this show was a homecoming for the Scottish Queen. Other performers featured on this tour included Kameron Michaels, Vanessa Vanjie, Yvie Oddly and Jorgeous.
O'Hara makes for an excellent host, providing comedy in between each performance, interacting with the audience and playfully ribbing one of the security guards. The pacing was slightly clunky between the high energy performances and the comedy parts and the production seemed to stop dead in its tracks for the interval.
The highlight of this production is the incredible choreography as the Queens lip-sync along to pop and dance hits. The storyline about the time machine is quite flimsy but provides a vehicle to have each performance take place in a different era with themed costumes. The entrances of each act are brilliantly dramatic and despite a bit of faffing around, Werq The World is a wickedly fun evening of entertainment.

‘Jurassic World 4’ Everything We Know: Plot, Cast, Release Date, Trailer, and News
in Movies & TV , Updates
Jurassic World 4 (2025) is officially in development . The upcoming film will be the seventh installment in the long-running Jurassic franchise, following J urassic Park (1993), The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Jurassic Park III (2001), Jurassic World (2015), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), and Jurassic World Dominion (2022).
While there’s still a lot we don’t know about the new film, recent months have seen plenty of details about the project come to light, from directors to release dates, and rumored titles to rumored plotlines . Some very exciting (and confirmed) casting news has also emerged. So here’s everything we know about Jurassic World 4 so far.
Hold onto your butts…

Jurassic World 4 Plot
Universal Pictures has yet to release an official synopsis for Jurassic World 4 . There’s also no confirmation on whether the upcoming film is a sequel to Jurassic World Dominion , so, at the moment, we’re completely in the dark regarding the premise.
However, a rumor shared by entertainment industry insider V Scooper claims that the seventh installment in the franchise will revolve around “a rescue team” that heads to an unspecified dinosaur-inhabited island “to save scientists” where they discover “a hybrid human-dinosaur serum.” The main hero is said to be “a John Wick-inspired character.”
Check out V Scooper’s tweet below:
JURASSIC PARK (rumors) – A rescue team ventures into an island ruled by dinosaurs to save scientists – The main hero to be a “John Wick” inspired character – A hybrid human-dinosaur serum is uncovered at the end – Focused on action and visuals Nothing definite yet.

This is nothing more than a rumor, so it’s best to take it with a massive pinch of salt. However, as outlandish as it may sound, the concept of human-dinosaur hybrids is nothing new to the Jurassic Park / Jurassic World movies.
The best part of 20 years ago, a proposed script for Jurassic Park 4 (which eventually became 2015’s Jurassic World ) featured human-dinosaur hybrid soldiers. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom also subtly reveals that human clone Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon) shares genetic properties with the film’s dinosaur-hybrid, the Indoraptor .
A separate rumor suggests the film will be titled Jurassic City .

Jurassic World 4 Cast
No actors from the previous Jurassic movies are expected to return for Jurassic World 4 .
In an interview with EXTRA (via the Bryce Dallas Howard Network) while promoting her new film Argylle (2024) , Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays Claire Dearing in all three Jurassic World movies, said she’s excited to see “new generations of actors be a part of that [ Jurassic World 4 ] story.” In an interview with ComicBook.com while promoting her new film Imaginary (2024) , DeWanda Wise, who plays Kayla Watts in Jurassic World Dominion , said, “I do not know” when asked if she would be returning.
Franchise icon Sam Neill, who plays Alan Grant in Jurassic Park , Jurassic Park III , and Dominion , recently told Forbes, “Maybe that’s it” for his character . In a recent interview with CinemaBlend, the actor discussed the possibility of a live-action Jurassic television series .
So the “new Jurassic era” will introduce new characters. Recently, it was revealed that Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) icon Scarlett Johansson, who plays Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in that series, was in talks with Universal Pictures to star as the lead in Jurassic World 4 . Now, according to British tabloid The Sun , Johansson, 39, will be producing and starring in the new movie (although Universal Pictures is yet to verify this).
Assuming the report is true, it’s likely Johansson will play a brand-new character, but she may play an existing character like Lex Murphy , who was played by Ariana Richards in Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park , or perhaps an older version of human clone Maisie Lockwood , who was played by Isabella Sermon in Fallen Kingdom and Dominion .
Bridgerton (2020) star Jonathan Bailey and Monkey Man (2024) star and director Dev Patel are also in talks to appear in the film .

Jurassic World 4 Trailer
Jurassic World 4 doesn’t start shooting until the summer. Filming will begin at Sky Studios, Elstree, in the United Kingdom, and there are rumors it’s expected to return to film on location in Hawaii like all the previous six films . Now, a new report from Times Malta says the production is heading to Malta’s Film Studios in Kalkara .
Fortunately, there are two other trailers you can sink your teeth into .
Check out the trailer for the upcoming first-person action-adventure video game Jurassic Park: Survival (TBA), which is a direct sequel to the original 1993 film:
And check out the trailer for the upcoming animated series Jurassic World: Chaos Theory (2024), which follows on from Netflix’s Jurassic World: Cretaceous (2020 — 2022), taking place between Fallen Kingdom and Dominion :
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory will stream on Netflix later this year. There’s no release date for Jurassic Park: Survival .

Jurassic World 4 Release Date
Universal Pictures has confirmed that Jurassic World 4 is being “fast-tracked” for theatrical release on July 2, 2025.
Several creatives who worked on previous Jurassic installments have been confirmed. Jurassic Park and The Lost World screenwriter David Koepp is penning the script , Jurassic World producers Patrick Cowley and Frank Marshall are back, and Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two films and was executive producer on the last four ( Jurassic Park III through Dominion ), is back as EP. Paleontologists Steve Brusatte and Jack Horner are also returning . Brusatte was an advisor on Dominion with franchise veteran Horner, who has consulted on every film in the series.
Deadpool 2 (2018) and Bullet Train (2022) director David Leitch was originally tapped to helm the film, but it’s now being directed by Gareth Edwards ( Godzilla 2014 and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ) .
