Let's just drop any pretense or superlative filled narrative and cut right to the bottom line: Wilco is the world's greatest rock band. Period. Sampling from their entire back catalog and the current Ode to Joy they mesmerized the Heinz Hall audience for over 2 hours. And it was indeed a joy to be sitting in the Orchestra Pit right in front of the amazing Nels Cline!

These guys are an astonishing act to see live. Consummate professionals with excellent songs, incredible musicianship and a wonderful rapport with their audience, Wilco have zero rock and roll pretension and all of the "big show" quality you expect from a legend. Best of all they always have new stuff to mix in with their extensive back catalogue. Few artists can boast such a deep base of good songs to pull from. Wilco plays a great show, up there with the best I've seen. Bruce Springsteen and George Clinton are the only artists that give this same value.

Amazing show, as usual. As Tweedy admitted, possibly the best London gig they ever had. This time around, audience was somehow awake and actually took part into the show.

Glenn was amazing and Pat Sansone could actually play floss if he was asked to. Can't wait for next gig!

Wilco Detail European/U.K. Spring 2023 Tour

Today, iconic American rock band Wilco announced they’ll set off on a European tour this spring. “Off we pop to Europe / UK in August / September!” the band wrote on Instagram, announcing the upcoming expedition.

Wilco’s adventures across the pond will kick off at Lokerse Feesten in Lokeren, Belgium, on Aug. 10 before they head south to the Parades De Coura in Tabuao, Portugal, for two evenings on Aug. 19 and 20. From there, they perform at Acieloaperto in Cesena, Italy, on Aug. 24, followed by a set at Todays Festival in Turin, Italy, the following day. They’ll then head north to Utrecht in the Netherlands for two performances at Tivoli Vrendenburg on Aug. 27 and 28 before heading to the United Kingdom to close out August with performances at the O2 Forum in London and End of the Road festival in Wiltshire, on Aug. 30 and 31 respectively.

Wilco will kick off the September segment of their spring tour by remaining in the United Kingdom for four performances: Usher Hall in Edinburgh on Sept. 2; Moseley Folk in Birmingham on Sept. 3; Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on Sept. 5; Mandela Hall in Belfast on Sept. 6 and finally the Olympia Theatre in Dublin on Sept. 8.

Before they set out on their European spring tour, Wilco have a jam-packed touring schedule with sold-out performances at Chicago’s Riviera Theatre in support of their album Cruel Country beginning on March 23-26 and stops in cities like Port Chester, N.Y., Nashville, Tenn., Orlando, Fla., Huntsville, Ala., Asheville, N.C., and more through April 30.

Today, iconic American rock band Wilco announced they’ll set off on a European tour this spring. “Off we pop to Europe / UK in August / September!” the band wrote on Instagram, announcing the upcoming expedition.

Wilco’s adventures across the pond will kick off at Lokerse Feesten in Lokeren, Belgium, on Aug. 10 before they head south to the Parades De Coura in Tabuao, Portugal, for two evenings on Aug. 19 and 20. From there, they perform at Acieloaperto in Cesena, Italy, on Aug. 24, followed by a set at Todays Festival in Turin, Italy, the following day. They’ll then head north to Utrecht in the Netherlands for two performances at Tivoli Vrendenburg on Aug. 27 and 28 before heading to the United Kingdom to close out August with performances at the O2 Forum in London and End of the Road festival in Wiltshire, on Aug. 30 and 31 respectively.

Wilco Bring ‘Cruel Country’ on the Road With U.S. Tour

Wilco are heading on the road this fall. On Tuesday, the band, fronted by Jeff Tweedy , announced the dates for their fall tour, titled “Tour to Infinity,” in support of last year’s LP Cruel Country .

After a run of dates in Europe in August, the group will kick off their U.S. tour in Wichita, before making their way to cities including Albuquerque, Scottsdale, and Seattle, and three nights at Los Angeles’ The Theatre at Ace Hotel.

Accompanying the group on the road will be My Brightest Diamond for the first half of their shows and Nina Nastasia for the second portion of the group’s tour dates.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. local time, while Wilco fans with presale code SURPRISE can purchase tickets Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time.

The new run of dates comes after the group went on a Midwest and Southern tour in March and April, in support of Cruel Country . The album features standouts such as “Falling Apart (Right Now),” “ Tired of Taking It Out on You, ” and “I Am My Mother.”

Thanks to the release of their latest track, “ Evicted ,” produced by Cate Le Bon, supporters know that Wilco isn’t playing around with the forthcoming project. The group began touring around Europe, the US, and Mexico in August. But their 2023 fall tour, Tour To Infinity , is slated to be a completely different experience.

The tour will formally kick off on September 26 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Across the 21-show dates, Wilco has announced that a few special guests will join them on the road.

Who Is Opening Wilco’s Tour To Infinity ?

Singer and multi-instrumentalist Shara Nova is best known for her work under the musical moniker My Brightest Diamond (MBD). Last month, she released her new single, “Black Sheep.” But MBD’s breakout moment in the industry was her 2014 album, This Is My Hand . The 10-track project features standout tracks “Lover Killer” and “Pressure.” Throughout My Brightest Diamond music, the Arkansas native looks to weave her classical music training with blends of rock, art pop, and electronic.

Nina Nastasia

Los Angeles native Nina Nastasia is a music veteran. The folk singer and songwriter found early fame in the early 2000s following the release of her debut album, Dogs . Since then, Nastasia has maintained a spirited support base that led to her dropping 2002’s The Blackened Air , 2003’s Run to Ruin , 2006’s On Leaving, 2007’s You Follow Me with Jim White , and 2010’s Outlaster before going on hiatus. Last year, she returned with the release of Riderless Horse and has continued to share new music.

Wilco Announces Fall 2023 U.S. Tour

Wilco has announced a fall 2023 U.S. tour. The newly announced crop of dates, set to follow the Chicago indie heroes’ lengthy European outing, will keep frontman Jeff Tweedy and company on the road in the States from the end of September through the end of October.

The Wilco 2023 fall tour is due to feature a three-night stint at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles (10/4, 10/5, 10/6) and two nights at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre (10/17, 10/18) as well as dates in Texas, Missouri, Colorado, and more. The upcoming tour follows the release of Wilco’s most recent album, 2022’s Cruel Country . Earlier this year, Wilco appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers to perform the Cruel Country track “ Tired of Taking It Out On You “.

Shortly after Wilco’s fall tour, frontman Jeff Tweedy will release his third book, World Within A Song: Music That Changed My Life and Life That Changed My Music . Out November 7th via Dutton ,  World Within A Song is built around the 50-plus songs that changed Tweedy’s life. ​​Additionally, Tweedy will embark on a run of solo dates in June and July, including a four-night stand in Brooklyn.

Wilco Share Spring 2023 Tour Dates and Short Film from Surprise Chicago Set: Watch

Live run includes residencies in three cities with unique setlists every night

Wilco have revealed a new set of Spring 2023 tour dates in support of last summer’s double album, Cruel Country . The announcement was paired with a short film from the band’s impromptu appearance at Carol’s Pub in Chicago last October.

The run opens in late March with three-night residencies in Chicago; Port Chester, New York; and Reykjavík, Iceland featuring a different setlist every night. Subsequent stops include Orlando, Nashville, and more. The new tour dates wrap in Athens, Ohio on April 30th, but the band have also been booked for festival appearances throughout 2023 including Charleston, South Carolina’s High Water Festival and Birmingham, UK’s Moseley Folk Festival in September.

The tour update was met with a number of additional offerings from the band, including a video compilation of their surprise live show at the Chicago honky tonk Carol’s Pub last October. The band also relaunched Wilcoworld Radio to share 12 hours of original programming like DJ sets from every band member, rare and unreleased live recordings, a deep dive on Cruel Country with Jeff Tweedy , a discussion on the Yankee Hotel Foxtrot 20th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition , and an “audio mezcal tasting.” The free stream is ongoing through January 24th via the band’s website .

Wilco Announce Spring 2023 Tour of North America

Wilco have announced a new slate of tour dates in support of their latest album, Cruel Country . The spring tour will bring the band across North America to perform in cities they missed on their previous trip across the continent . Additionally, Wilco will perform three-night residencies in Reykjavík , Chicago, and Port Chester, New York. Joining the band at select dates are Horsegirl and the A’s . Cruel Country got released digitally and on CD last year, and the vinyl edition of the album comes out this Friday, January 20.
