Get in touch with the chosen vendor through their website, email, or phone call.

Explain your situation (nationality, purpose of visit, desired visa type) and inquire about their services.

The specific documents needed will vary depending on your nationality and visa type. However, common requirements include:

Step 6: Track Your Application:

Inquire about their process for tracking application status and estimated processing times.

Step 7: Visa Collection:

Upon visa approval, the vendor will inform you and arrange for visa collection (either electronically or through pick-up at their office).

Additional Tips:

  • Double-check all deadlines and ensure your documents meet validity requirements.
  • Clarify any fees upfront, including government visa fees, service charges, and potential surcharges for using specific payment methods.
  • Ask about any additional support services offered by the vendor, such as assistance with booking hotels or airport transfers.

  • Submit Application and Pay Fees: Once you've chosen the method, submit your application and pay the relevant fees. The fee for UAE visa extension is AED 1000.
  • Collect Your Extended Visa: Upon approval (usually within 3-5 working days), you can download your e-visa or collect your updated passport with the extension stamp depending on the application method.

Here are some common reasons why a UAE visa application may be rejected:

  • Incomplete or Inaccurate Application: Ensure thorough completion of the application form, attaching all required documentation before submission. Any inaccuracies or omissions may lead to visa refusal.
  • Past Visa Violations: Previous breaches of UAE visa regulations, such as illegal employment or visa overstay, can result in visa denial.
  • Security Concerns: Visa applications may be rejected if immigration authorities have suspicions or concerns regarding an applicant's security background.

If your previous UAE E-visa application was denied, you have the option to reapply. However, it's crucial to understand the reasons for the initial rejection and address them before submitting a new application. Review any rejection notices or communications from UAE immigration authorities for specific feedback.

To avoid another rejection, ensure that your new application is error-free and meets all requirements.

Before reapplying for a UAE E-visa, gather the necessary documents:

  • Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your planned entry date into the UAE and has two blank pages for visa stamping.
  • Provide a scanned copy of your passport's personal information page.
  • Have a credit/debit card or PayPal account ready to pay the Dubai tourist visa fees.
  • Use a current email address to receive your UAE E-visa.

When reapplying:

  • Address any issues: Correct any mistakes or deficiencies from your previous application. Make sure all required documents mentioned above are accurate and complete.
  • Provide additional information: If possible, include any extra details or documents that could strengthen your application.
  • Seek assistance if needed: If you're unsure about why your application was rejected or need guidance, consider reaching out to UAE Immigration Services for clarification or assistance before reapplying.

If your UAE e-visa application is rejected there isn't a formal process for appealing the decision. Typically, if your UAE e-visa is denied, you will receive notification outlining the reasons for the rejection. If you believe the denial occurred due to misinformation or an assessment error, you may consider reaching out to the UAE embassy or consulate for clarification and resolution.

Upon arrival at the UAE airport, it's important to follow these steps for a smooth and hassle-free experience:

  • Ensure Travel Documents are Ready: Have your passport and a valid UAE visit visa readily available for quick verification by immigration authorities. It's advisable to carry physical printouts of these documents or ensure they are easily accessible on your mobile device.
  • Understand UAE (Dubai) Regulations: Proceed to the customs area if you have items to declare or if your baggage requires inspection. Familiarise yourself with the UAE (Dubai) Customs Regulations , which offer information on various services, duty-free shopping options, and traveller facilities.
  • Follow Unaccompanied Minor Guidelines: If you are travelling as an unaccompanied minor, remain with your designated flight attendant for safety. Upon arrival, identify your assigned adult at the destination airport to ensure a secure transition.

Employment and Business Opportunities

Stay extensions and renewal, duration and fees of visit visa and tourist visa.

A visit visa is a versatile visa option that caters to a broad range of reasons like exploring business opportunities, seeking medical attention, visiting family, and attending meetings. This visa is available for 30 days and 60 days depending on the traveler’s requirements. A visit visa gives the opportunity to visitors to participate in a variety of activities during their stay.

A Dubai tourist visa is a visa that’s specially designed for tourism alone. A tourist who is willing to go sightseeing, and explore the natural beauty of Dubai can opt for this visa. This visa is valid for a shorter period of 14 to 30 days. A Dubai tourist visa encourages visitors to plan their short stay to visit iconic landmarks, and cultural sites, and experience the vibrant essence of Dubai.

Conditions and Eligibility Criteria for Visit Visa and Tourist Visa in the Dubai

The conditions and eligibility criteria for the visit visa and tourist visa are distinguished and represent their specific reason for travel. A visit visa, which is intended for a broader range of activities, imposes fewer restrictions and permits multiple entries. On the other hand, a Dubai tourist visa is primarily aimed at visitors on vacation and usually allows only one entry. And when it comes to sponsorship, a visit visa may require a sponsorship from a Dubai resident but a tourist visa doesn't.

The Application Process for Visit Visa and Tourist Visa in the Dubai

Applying for both a Visit Visa and a tourist visa is a streamlined process that involves online application, embassy submissions, and travel agency assistance in some cases. While applying for a visit visa or a tourist visa, an applicant has to submit documents like personal information, passport details, some proof of accommodation, a financial statement, and an invitation letter. An invitation letter might be required for a visit visa applicant while a proof of financial statement is mandatory for a tourist visa applicant. Applying for a tourist visa can also be done through direct airlines and licensed travel agencies.

Influence on Traveler's Purpose and Engagements:

Due to the visit visa's multiple-entry feature, gives travelers flexibility in their travel plans and interests. This enables them to pursue a broader range of interests and participate in a variety of activities without being limited by a single entry restriction. Visit visas also cater to a broader range of traveler purposes beyond leisure tourism, allowing them to pursue specific goals such as business ventures, meetings, family visits, or medical treatment.

As a result, visit visas draw a wider range of travelers, enriching the cultural landscape of Dubai and contributing to tourism and some other economic growth too.

Dubai Tourist Visa

Regardless of the shorter period of a tourist visa compared to a Visit Visa, tourist visas enable visitors to immerse themselves in the country's rich cultural heritage, captivating landscapes, and vibrant bustling cities, allowing for a more exciting travel experience.

The emphasis on leisure activities lines up with Dubai's efforts to foster luxury tourism. Tourist visas help to develop the hospitality industry by creating job openings and driving economic growth in the travel and tourism industry.

Difference Between Visit Visa and Tourist Visa in Dubai

Visit visa not only enhances the tourism industry but also opens the door to employment and business opportunities. Travelers who come on visit visas have the opportunity to explore more than tourist visa holders. This way, during their stay, visitors with a visit visa may be able to attend job interviews, seek business partnerships, or explore career options in Dubai. In case the visit visa holder finds a suitable job within this period, he/she can also convert their visa to a work visa.

All these possibilities are open only for visit visa holders while the Tourist visa emphasis remains on tourism, leisure, and sightseeing, with visitors limited from engaging in any type of work or professional commitments during their stay.

Extensions and renewals of visit and tourist visas in Dubai differ concerning feasibility and process.

Visit visas offer greater flexibility for extensions, permitting longer stays through renewals or extensions at immigration offices within Dubai. Individuals under visit visas can often transition to other visa types or seek employment opportunities, subject to visa change regulations.

Conversely, tourist visas are generally less flexible regarding extensions or renewals. Renewal possibilities are limited, often requiring exiting the country and reapplying for a new tourist visa after the expiration of the current one. Such restrictions aim to maintain the primary tourist-focused nature of the visa.

Visit visas are frequently issued for a longer duration of time from 30 days up to 60 days and with varying fee structures based on the length of stay. The fees may vary depending on the duration of the visa, sponsorship, and the purpose of the visit. These visa types provide duration flexibility, allowing for short-term or extended stays based on the needs of the traveler.

Tourist visas, which are more focused on tourism, typically have set durations and fee structures. Tourist visa fees are standardized for shorter periods, promoting tourism experiences within a limited period and cost.

Understanding the difference between a Visit Visa and a Tourist Visa is crucial to experience a remarkable tour of Dubai. The visit visa has greater versatility, facilitating purposes such as business, family visits, medical treatments, and corporate meetings. The tourist visa, on the other hand, is specifically designed for leisure and tourism activities, granting a shorter-duration stay focused solely on exploring popular tourist destinations in Dubai.

Now that you are aware of the visit visa and tourist visa, it’s time to make an informed decision on the purpose of your travel so that you can set on a journey tailored to your unique aspirations, transforming your travel dreams into unforgettable experiences.

Can I enter Dubai with a one-way ticket on a tourist visa?

If you are planning to visit Dubai on a tourist visa, it is important to understand the entry requirements and necessary documentation. One common question that arises is whether it is possible to enter Dubai with a one-way ticket on a tourist visa.

While it is generally recommended to have a round-trip ticket when traveling on a tourist visa, Dubai does allow entry with a one-way ticket under certain conditions. The decision ultimately lies with the immigration officers at the point of entry, and they may ask for additional documentation or proof of onward travel.

To increase your chances of entering Dubai with a one-way ticket, here are a few tips:

  • Show proof of accommodation: Having a confirmed hotel reservation for your stay in Dubai can demonstrate that you have a planned itinerary and a place to stay during your visit.
  • Show proof of sufficient funds: It is important to have enough money to cover your expenses during your stay in Dubai. This can be in the form of bank statements or credit card statements.
  • Show proof of return or onward travel: Even though you have a one-way ticket, it is advisable to have proof of your onward travel plans. This can be in the form of a confirmed flight ticket to your next destination or a visa for your next country of visit.

By providing these documents and demonstrating your intention to comply with the visa requirements, you increase your chances of being allowed entry into Dubai with a one-way ticket. However, it is important to note that the final decision lies with the immigration officers, and they may still request additional documentation or deny entry.

In conclusion, while it is possible to enter Dubai with a one-way ticket on a tourist visa, it is advisable to have a round-trip ticket and necessary documentation to avoid any complications or potential issues at the point of entry.

Tourists in the UAE on a 30 or 60 days visit visa can extend their stay within the country by another 30 days. The decision by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) grants visitors an additional 30 days to explore and enjoy the country’s diverse offerings.

The UAE has implemented several changes in its visa procedures since October last year, marking one of the largest residency and entry permit reforms by the ICP (Immigration and Citizenship Program). Since then, several developments have taken place in the visit visa system of the country.

As per the ICA website, individuals holding a visit visa of 30 or 60 days will now be eligible for an additional 30-day stay, and the maximum extension period for a visit visa holder is 120 days.

A call centre representative of Amer Centre said that a visit visa extension within the country is possible and “one must contact their visa issuing agent to for the extension."

Maximum extension

According to a call centre representative at ICP, it is possible to obtain a visa extension within the country for a period of 30 days. This extension applies to both long-term and short-term visit visas. However, it is important to note that the total duration of stay within a year should not exceed 120 days.

The call centre executive clarified, “If a visitor is on a 30 days visa, the extension can be possible up to 120 days (30 days on each extension),” added the executive.

Procedure for extension

"If a tourist or a visitor would like to extend their stay, they should contact the issuing travel agent or sponsor," said Firose Khan, operation manager at Arabian Business Centre.

"Your sponsor or travel agent who issued the visa can provide you with information on the extension process, required documentation, fees, and any other relevant details. It's important to initiate this process well before your current visa's expiration to allow sufficient time for the extension to be processed," added Khan.

Documentation required

The visitor’s passport is required to extend a visit visa. The issuing agent will provide more details on the required documents.

Time duration for extension

The process may take a few days from submitting the documents depending on your travel agent who applies for the service. However, on the ICP website, the “time to complete the service after its requirements are completed is 48 hours,”

Extension charges:

“The cost of extension for a month is Dh1,050,” said Khan.

The GDRFA elaborated the costs of extension and gave a breakdown of the rates on their website.

Visa extension fee: Dh600, in addition to the value-added tax (5%).

Additional fees (if the sponsored person is inside the country):

Knowledge dirham : Dh10

Innovation dirham : Dh10

Fee inside the country: Dh500

The website also mentioned, “The total amount of the visa may vary depending on the circumstances surrounding the sponsored person or for any other reasons that may require that,”

On ICP website, the cost vary.

Request fee: Dh100

Issuance fee: Dh500, and other related charges are applicable.

The website also mentions the application for an extension of entry permit for tourism is made through the tourism companies. Agents have urged the visitors to leave the country before the visa expiry or extend their visas to avoid attracting any penalties or difficulties while exiting.

This extension caters to various purposes, including tourism, family visits, business meetings, and other personal matters. "Visitors can utilise this extra time to explore the country's iconic landmarks, indulge in shopping, savour culinary delights, or simply relax in the UAE's world-class hospitality," said Khan.

● Valid for one entry into Dubai. ● Expires upon departure. ● Suited for travelers with fixed agendas or limited stays.

What is Multiple-Entry Visa

A multiple-entry visa in Dubai is a type of travel authorization that allows an individual to enter and exit the city of Dubai multiple times within a specified validity period. Unlike a single-entry visa, which becomes invalid after one entry and exit, a multiple-entry visa permits the traveler to visit Dubai multiple times during the duration of the visa’s validity.

Multiple-entry visas are advantageous for individuals who anticipate frequent travel to Dubai or who intend to explore neighboring countries and return to Dubai multiple times within a specific timeframe. These visas offer greater flexibility for business professionals attending multiple meetings, families visiting relatives, or travelers seeking to make Dubai their hub while exploring nearby regions.

● Allows unrestricted entry and exit throughout the visa’s validity. ● Facilitates frequent travel to Dubai and neighboring regions. ● Tailored for individuals with extended or repeated travel plans.

Factors to Consider

Choosing between a single-entry visa and a multiple-entry visa in Dubai requires careful consideration of various factors to ensure that your choice aligns with your travel plans and preferences. Here are the key factors to take into account –

  • Travel Frequency – Consider how often you plan to visit Dubai. If you’re making a one-time trip, a single-entry visa might suffice. For frequent travelers who anticipate multiple visits, a multiple-entry visa offers convenience.
  • Duration of Stay – Evaluate the length of each visit. If your stays are brief and well-defined, a single-entry visa may suit your needs. Longer stays or recurrent visits are better accommodated by a multiple-entry visa.
  • Travel Itinerary – Assess your travel plans and destinations. If you’re primarily visiting Dubai without the need to leave and re-enter, a single-entry visa can be suitable. Nevertheless, if you plan to explore other emirates or neighboring countries and return to Dubai, a multiple-entry visa provides flexibility.
  • Budget Considerations – Compare the costs of both visa types. Multiple-entry visas are often priced higher due to their extended privileges. Align your budget with your travel plans to make an informed decision.
  • Convenience and Flexibility – Determine the level of flexibility you require. A single-entry visa is straightforward but limited to one entry, whereas a multiple-entry visa provides the freedom to enter and exit Dubai multiple times.
  • Business or Personal Travel – Consider the purpose of your travel. For business professionals attending a one-time event, a single-entry visa might be sufficient. Individuals visiting family, attending multiple meetings, or engaging in frequent business activities may benefit from a multiple-entry visa.
  • Neighboring Countries – If you plan to explore other countries nearby, a multiple-entry visa can be advantageous, as it allows you to re-enter Dubai easily after your side trips.
  • Application Process – Understand the application requirements and process for both visa types. Some visas may have additional documentation or eligibility criteria.
  • Future Travel Plans – Consider your travel plans beyond your immediate trip. If you foresee additional visits to Dubai in the near future, a multiple-entry visa could save you time and effort.
  • Travel Convenience – Evaluate the convenience of not needing to apply for a new visa per time you like to re-enter Dubai with a multiple-entry visa.
  • Type of Activities – Depending on your activities, such as attending events, visiting family, or conducting business, assess whether a single-entry or multiple-entry visa provides the necessary flexibility.

As you embark on your Dubai adventure, choosing between a single-entry and multiple-entry visa is pivotal. Delve into your travel intentions, stay durations, and budget constraints to make an optimal choice. Whether you opt for the focused simplicity of a single-entry visa or the expansive flexibility of a multiple-entry visa, Dubai’s enchanting landscapes, cultural richness, and cosmopolitan charm await your exploration.

What New Laws have been made for Dubai Tourist visa or Visit visas in 2023?

The UAE is changing its immigration policies, making it easier to obtain a Dubai tourist visa. These changes have come into effect from Monday, 3 October 2022. One of the major improvements is a Dubai multiple-entry visa that does not need a sponsor. This allows tourists to stay for up to 90 days on each visit, which is renewable. However, in this blog, we are going to discuss the new rules and regulations imposed by the Dubai government for a Dubai visit visa and visit visa. Let us have a look:

Four Types of Tourist Visa

There are four varieties of visitor visas:

For a short-term, single-entry Dubai tourist visa price will be 250 AED. This visa is valid for 30 days from the date of entrance and it is not extendable.

The cost is 690 AED for a short-term, multiple-entry tourist visa that is valid for 30 days from the date of entrance and it is not extendable.

A long-term, single-entry tourist visa costs 600 AED. It is valid for 90 days from the date of admission and it is not extendable.

The cost is 1740 AED for a long-term, multiple-entry tourist visa. That is valid for 90 days from the date of entrance and it is not extendable.

Please be aware that the overstaying fees are 200 AED for an outpass in addition to 100 AED every day. If the overstaying is even less than 30 days, customers can pay at the GDRFA-D HQ or the DUBAI airports when they leave the country. If it has been longer than 30 days, you can only pay at the GDRFA-D HQ.

Other Visas:

Multi-entry tourist visa.

A Dubai multiple-entry visa is a type of travel permit that allows a person to enter a certain country more than once within its validity period. It is in contrast to a single-entry visa, which only permits a person to enter a particular country once and then expires.

Dubai tourist visa is issued for tourists and business travelers. They can use it for up to five years, and each visit must last at least 90 days.

In order to get a multiple-entry visa, you should provide the following documents:

  • Your passport copy
  • Confirmed ticket for your stay in the UAE
  • You may also need to provide a letter of invitation from a hotel or an airline that will be hosting you during your trip.

You can apply for a five-year multiple-entry tourist visa online through the ICA or GDRFA website. You can either upload the required documents yourself or hire an agency to do it for you.

Business Entry Visa

Dubai has a booming business sector, which attracts hundreds and thousands of international business delegates from different countries. However, it is essential to have a valid Dubai visa before visiting the country.

One of the most popular visas is the Business Entry Visa . It is available to those who are working for qualifying companies or organizations in Dubai.

It allows foreign nationals to visit the UAE for a period of 5 years to perform business activities. They can stay up to 90 days at a time and enter or exit the UAE as many times as they wish within that period.

This type of visa is suitable for business travelers. Especially, who need to travel frequently and stay no longer than a few months at a time. It is also a good option for business owners who plan to move to the UAE in the future and have a local sponsor.

In addition, the Business ETA is available for foreign nationals who plan to study in Dubai. As long as they complete their studies in fewer than three months. It is also available for business owners and employees who plan to live in Dubai as residents.

Family Entry Visa

Countless expatriates are currently living in Dubai, and they have a need to bring their family members to the UAE. To fulfill this need, the UAE government has introduced a family entry visa. That permits foreign nationals to enter the country and sponsor their families.

The new rules for the family visa have come into effect on 3 October 2022. The license will be substantial for a time of 60 days. In addition, it is renewable for a similar amount of time as well. However, the Dubai visit visa price or tourist visa price is almost similar. But this varies from country to country.

In order to apply for a family visa, ex-pats need to follow the right channels. Moreover, submit their documents as per requirements. These may include an embassy, consulate, or VHS global office.

Aside from the required documents, the applicant must also undergo a medical examination as per the guidelines of the UAE government. The medical must be done from an approved hospital. In the case of minors, they must also submit a notarized letter from the parents or legal guardian.

Detailed Info About Dubai’s Short Term 30 Days Multiple-Entry Visa 2023

When travelling to Dubai, tourists usually find that applying for a visa is the most challenging part of the process. It’s easy to apply for a Dubai visa if you follow a few guidelines, do your research, and get help from an experienced visa consultant. One of the most important factors to keep in mind is the type of Dubai visa you would require for your Dubai trip. There are various types of Dubai visas available depending on the type and duration of your trip. If you are planning a short stay in the emirate, Dubai offers both Single-entry and Multiple-entry tourist visas. This article aims to give you a comprehensive insight on how to get a Dubai Multiple-entry visa for Indian tourists. Continue reading to find out more.

What is a Dubai Multiple-entry tourist visa?

The purpose of a Multiple-entry visa is that it allows the visa holder to exit the country and re-enter multiple times till the duration of the visa lapses. Having a Multiple-entry visa eliminates the hassle that Single-entry visas pose, where the visa holder cannot enter the country after leaving it. This visa comes in handy when the Dubai visa holder wants to visit the UAE more than once or wants to travel outside the UAE, visit another country, then return to the UAE on the same valid visa.

Are there various multiple visas for Dubai?

The UAE offers the option of a 30-day or 90-day Multiple-entry visa. Dubai has recently announced a new 5-year visa with Multiple-entry for visitors planning long-term trips or wanting to return to Dubai in intervals over the course of 5 years. The best option for anyone visiting Dubai for more than a couple of weeks or a month at a stretch, or who wants the option to exit and re-enter, is to obtain a short-term Multiple-entry visa of 30 days.

What is a 30-day short-term Dubai Multiple-entry visa?

A short-term Multiple-entry Dubai visa lets a visa holder enter and exit Dubai for tourist or social visits multiple times. The 30-day visa allows visa holders to stay in Dubai for that stipulated amount of time. It is important to note that a 30-day Dubai visa entails a validity of 58 days, which differs from your 30-day stay approval granted on your Dubai visa. Regardless of whether you have arrived in Dubai or how much time you have spent there, the validity of the visa begins on the date of issue and lasts for 58 days. Once the validity expires, you may extend it for 30 days for an additional charge.

Who can apply for a short term Multiple-entry Dubai visa?

Any person with a valid passport can apply for a Dubai short-term visitor visa. However, whether you need a pre-approved valid visa before entering UAE depends on your nationality. Certain nationalities are visa-exempt and some get visas on arrival. For an Indian citizen, a UAE visa has to be obtained before departure to UAE.

How can Indians apply for a Multiple-entry Dubai Tourist visa?

Multiple-entry Dubai tourist visas are applied for in the same way as single-entry visas, except you will have to indicate you need a Multiple-entry on your visa application. Do keep in mind that an Indian citizen cannot get a Dubai tourist visa by applying at a Dubai Consulate in India. A Dubai visa is processed and validated in the UAE which is taken on behalf of the applicant by a sponsor residing in the UAE.

What is the process of applying for a Multiple-entry Dubai visa?

  • The first step is to find a sponsor in the UAE. For tourism purposes, this can be a travel agency or the airline you are opting to fly to Dubai.
  • Check your passport and ensure that you have a minimum of 6 months validity on your passport after you reach Dubai.
  • Next, fill out an online application form completely and without any errors. Pay the fees and keep a copy of the online application form submission page.
  • Gather all the documents needed as per your travel purpose. For a tourist, the basic documents required are
  • A valid passport.
  • Colour photographs as per dimensions and specifications mentioned as per visa guideline.
  • An invitation letter from the sponsor.
  • Details of your travel itinerary and addresses of places you are staying during your Dubai visit.
  • A letter from your employer citing your employment details, salary, acceptance of leave, and purpose of travel.
  • In the case of an entrepreneur, the letter should outline details of the business, and trading license information on company letterhead.
  • Financial documents such as salary slips and bank documents to prove financial ability to cover the duration of stay in Dubai.
  • Additional documents such as vaccination certificates, health and travel insurance, marriage certificates for the spouse, birth certificates for children travelling along etc.
  • Pay the visa fees and submit all the documents to the sponsor or visa consultant who will be managing your Dubai visa application on your behalf with the UAE Consulate. Then, all you have to do is wait for a reply about your visa result.

How much does a Multiple-entry Dubai visa cost?

A 30-day Multiple-entry visa Dubai price is around AED 800 per person.

How long does it take for a Dubai tourist visa to process?

Dubai tourist visa takes about 5 to 7 working days to process. However, it is best to apply in advance so that you do not have to wait till the last minute to get the visa approves.
