Take a camel ride at uluru for a different perspective, the ultimate adventure in the red centre.

Uluru (Ayers Rock) can be seen in many ways; at sunrise or sunset, from viewing platforms or on the Mala Walk, you can see it from above in a helicopter or by skydiving, you can even take a motorcycle tour. One of our favourite ways to see Uluru is on a camel ride. Let go of your fears and leave the world behind as you glide along the dunes aboard one of these gentle giants. A camel tour of Uluru with a knowledgeable local guide will see you inspired by the beautiful red centre landscape and breath-taking Uluru. Take the ultimate camel adventure to complete your visit to Uluru.

Flash Parker

A tour of the Outback from atop a wild camel seems like something you’d find in a Terry Gilliam film, but once you’ve saddled up and climbed about one of Uluru Camel Tours’ “ships of the desert,” you’ll wonder why this activity was never higher on your bucket list. The camels clomp along at a leisurely pace, which should offer you plenty of time to capture a picture-perfect selfie with your GoPro, or an opportunity to soak up sweeping panoramic views of Uluru (Ayers Rock) – most beautiful under the soft light of a setting sun. Tours are championed by knowledgeable, friendly guides who take the safety of their guests seriously (camel surfing is highly discouraged). Regular daily programs are available, though you can also arrange a private tour – in case you’re planning on riding from one side of Australia to the other on a slobbering steed. Flash Parker traveled to Australia’s Northern Territory courtesy of Tourism Northern Territory and Goway Travel. His highlights are part of AFAR’s partnership with The United States Tour Operator Association (USTOA), whose members provide travelers with unparalleled access, insider knowledge, peace-of-mind, value and freedom to enjoy destinations across the entire globe. Good deals & Reliable. Just a bit difficult to contact customer service team for more information required.

Great experience. Picked up on time from hotel. Friendly guides who take great care to make the experience memorable. Rescue animals a bonus. Highly recommended, but remember the fly net.

SOO cool!! Loved today, really a once in a lifetime experience!

Great ride and amazing views. The staff was very friendly and helpful too

Most amazing experience with great staff. Will recommend this to everyone.

Amazing sunset camel experience! It's definitely highlight of our 5 day trip in Uluru. We traveled with young kids and old grandparents. Every person enjoyed it! Highly recommend it!

This was a way to see the sunset that I NEVER thought I would experience, but I am SO glad I did. Camels are waaay cuter than people give them credit. Best ever.

Camels, sunsets, and outback views – just perfect. definitely worth every penny!

We booked this tour on the same day we landed at Ayers Rock Resort. The pick-up places was very easy to find and they were on time. So didn’t have to to wait in the heat for too long, after we arrived at the camel farm they brief us on the camel and safety rules before getting on the camels. Each camel has a name which I think it was really cute. Half way through the ride, your legs do get tired and sore, however it’s totally worth the ride. The camels were really friendly and calm.

One of the most amazing experiences we’ve had. Thank you so much to the team for organising such a wonderful ride into the sunset with the beautiful camels and their wonderful personalities. This ride had it all, unparalleled stunning views, relaxing atmosphere, education about camels (a guide walks along!) with a bit of humour, photos taken for you with your own phone and finally wine and local produce at the end with fresh baked bread! Fantastic experience, highly recommended for all. Thank you!

This tour is not suitable for children under 5 years of age and all children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
