May 25, 2023 – Entertainment icon, CHINGY, whose music has transcended genres, will be touring with Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE), performing for U.S. military personnel at bases across the Pacific this August. CHINGY joins a distinguished group of musicians, artists, and performers who have toured with AFE, providing entertainment to armed forces across the globe. He will be performing in 11 shows from August 4-19.

CHINGY’s undeniable talent shines as he balances romantic rap and R&B collaborations with a rugged lyrical flow. A former battle rapper, he has ascended to the Billboard Hot 100 chart eight times and achieved rapid mainstream success with the release of his double-platinum Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified debut album “Jackpot” and smash hits “Right Thurr,” “Holidae In,” “One Call Away,” and many more.

Off stage, CHINGY’s acting chops include small screen roles in television comedy series “My Wife and Kids,” “One on One,” “George Lopez,” and “Yo Momma,” in addition to cameos in several films, including “Scary Movie 4” and “Speed Dating.” A St. Louis, MO native, CHINGY began writing lyrics when he was 9 years old and started performing soon after. Jackpot was a commercial blockbuster, birthing three singles—“Right Thurr” (which later scored a fiery remix with Trina and Jermaine Dupri), “Holidae In” featuring Snoop Dogg and Ludacris, and “One Call Away” featuring J-Weav—all of which peaked in the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

CHINGY’s second platinum album, “Powerballin’,” featured Hot 100 hit “Balla Baby” as well as a collaboration with Janet Jackson on “Don’t Worry.” He followed up with another RIAA-certified gold record, “Hoodstar,” which also reached the Billboard 200 all-genre top 10 albums chart and spawned Hot 100 singles “Pullin’ Me Back” featuring Tyrese and “Dem Jeans.” The eighth song from his album, “I Do,” was featured on the soundtrack for the video game “Need for Speed: Underground 2.” The album also featured guest appearances from Bun B, Lil Wayne, Lil’ Flip, David Banner, Nate Dogg, Get It Boyz, and more. That same year, CHINGY was featured on Houston’s Hot 100 single “I Like That” featuring Nate Dogg and I-20. CHINGY’s fourth studio album, “Hate It or Love It,” also landed in the Billboard 200, and produced Hot 100 hit “Fly Like Me,” featuring Amerie. The LP also featured appearances by Ludacris, Bobby Valentino, Steph Jones, Trey Songz, Rick Ross, and Anthony Hamilton. CHINGY continues to write and produce, with his latest tracks released in 2023.

The tour is presented by AFE. Since 1951, AFE has been providing the best performances for U.S. troops and their families stationed overseas, and they are committed to boosting the morale and well-being of service members through world-class live events and performances.

Hailing from Atlanta, US, the Ying Yang Twins, along with Lil Jon, were at the forefront of the Crunk explosion, finding huge success with their dirty south sound in the early 2000s.

Ying Yang Twins, featuring D-Roc (born De'Angelo Holmes, February 23,1979) and Kaine (born Eric Jackson, December 16th, 1978) broke onto the airwaves with their first single, "Whistle While You Twurk," (2000), peaking at number 17 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop Chart. Alongside extensive touring, their debut album came out later that year, titled "Thug Walkin'." Their fist-pumping tracks full of party-vibes drew the attention of A&R man Bryan Leach, which led to the duo signing to TVT Records, having already connected with Lil Jon. However, formalities were not completed before the Ying Yang Twins were to release their second record, "Alley: The Return of the Ying Yang Twins" (2002) which was instead released on Koch, achieving significant popularity with hip-hop fans in the South.

Their first record for TVT, "Me & My Brother" was released in 2003, which went on to be certified Platinum the following year, with their three hit songs "Whats Happnin!," "Naggin" and the collaborations with Lil Jon, "Salt Shaker" and "Kings of Crunk." These two tracks were massive hits that year, receiving extensive airplay and establishing both Lil Jon and the Ying Yang Twins in the Hip-Hop world, breaking into audiences outside of the American South.

Following an appearance on Britney Spears' song, "In the Zone," the duo released their next album, "United State of Atlanta (U.S.A)" (2005), which again dominated urban radio stations. Their success continued with 2006's "Chemically Imbalanced" and their legacy was compiled in 2009's "Legendary Status: Ying Yang Twins Greatest Hits" which featured all of their biggest hits.

If you think that Miley Cyrus was the one who brought twerking to the spotlight, guess again.

Since 1997, the Ying Yang Twins have been making music that has inspired women (and some men) from all over to get their booties down on the floor. With seven albums and a slew of mixtapes, they’ve released a number of hit singles including ‘Salt Shaker,’ ‘Shake’ and ‘Wait (The Whisper Song).’ And they’re still making music now with themed mixtapes like ‘Twurk or Die,’ which they released in 2013, and even dedicated an entire track to the ‘We Won’t Stop’ singer that is appropriately titled, ‘Miley Cyrus. With all these ass shaking songs, clearly catching them live is one big crazy party. Usually packing a nightclub, there are so many people that one would think that such dancing would not exist. However, these people make it happen and some even make it onto the Ying Yangs stage. The two are usually casually dressed but are carrying so much swagger that you can’t help but get into everything they say. Obviously a Ying Yang Twins show is not for the faint of heart. If you’re easily offended by overtly sexual banter and the gyrating movements that seem to surround people at these gigs, it might be best to sit this one out. But if you’re all into having wilding out and having a laugh, then the Ying Yang Twins are a hip hop duo not to be missed.

There are very few hip hop gigs on the circuit that has as much emphasis on fun as the Ying Yang Twins. The duo consisting of rappers Kaine and D-Roc enjoyed commerciality in the 2000s and there is a real danceable tone to their releases so it is pretty easy for the group to get their crowds moving along to the beats.

The duo also has incredibly energetic stage personas so it is easy to hype up an audience as they pretty much bound around the stage and into the front row. They also have a number of hit singles such as 'Salt Shaker' to drop into the set in just the right place to evoke the maximum reaction from the crowd. One of the early collaborations with Pitbull 'Shake' evokes huge cheers from the lively, bouncing audience as the pair of rappers attempt to ignite an impromptu dance off within the masses. A genre that often takes itself rather seriously, it is great to see the Ying Yang Twins not taking either themselves or their music too seriously and from the reaction from the audience, it is clearly a winning formula.

Where do I start. D-Rock was the only one of the two that showed up. He did a decent performance aside from the fact that he was to loaded to keep on track with his songs. Afterwards, he kept walking out on the stage during the other performers sets and just walking up to them and tapping on them, talking etc. Then backstage, he kept walking up to people (including myself) speaking very inappropriately while all up in our personal space. Security had to escort him off the stage at least 3 times, from different areas backstage several times and away from different people just as much. He is proof that drugs are not a good thing.

They played 2 of the twins songs but it was so many people on the stage for the talent show, I mean concert we never saw the actual artist. Lil Flip, Bone,Thugs,N Harmony,and Twista did really good.

This show was an absolute blast. The twins killed it as well as the opening acts. Great energy and a great time! The Crowd attracted as amazing too. Simply a great, top shelf, night.

It was good to see them, it's been a long time. You all did a wonderful job. You all look good. Would like to see you perform again soon. So think about that. Lol

Recently, the hip hop icon celebrated the 20th anniversary of his global hits "Right Thurr" and "Holidae In," and embarked on an international military tour, presented by Armed Forces Entertainment, throughout Japan, Guam and South Korea, where the icon performed for service men and women.

Chingy also released his newest album, CHINGLISH, via 369 Creative Mind, TLG and Ingrooves Music Group, to rave reviews.

Chingy's single releases from the album, "Dat Good," "Rewind Time," "Can't Blame Me," and "Ballen," were released in conjunction with cinematic music videos available to stream on YouTube and VEVO . 

The focus track for CHINGLISH, “ Ballen ,” was inspired by Chingy's own spiritual journey of reflecting on his childhood and growing from it. Coming from a rough upbringing, the artist digs deep into learning how to figure out his own way and finding answers to solve his problems within himself, while also becoming successful and staying true to his values.

2023 is a massive year for the entertainer as he commemorates the 20th anniversary of his debut album Jackpot and the smash single "Right Thurr," which remained on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for five non-consecutive weeks, giving CHINGY his first of three top five hits on that chart. It also became a No. 1 hit on the Hot Rap Songs chart for four weeks and peaked at No. 2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

Back at home in St. Louis, there is a calm in speaking to Chingy. You have to remind yourself that you’re talking to the artist who pushed out hits like “Right Thur” and “Pulling Me Back.” On the brink of his new album, “Chinglology,” I had the chance to catch up with him. So what’s changed since we last saw Chingy.

There is a sense of self-awareness and accountability. A corner has most definitely been turned and he is looking to correct past behavior. “I want to become more of a leader,” he says in looking back at lessons learned over the years. He uses words like “Positive” and “Great” in describing where he wants to go not just with this album but in life moving forward. A spiritual awakening of sorts is present in his energy and reflective in the album, specifically with the track “King Judah” which pays homage to the origins of the African man.

Yes, it’s deep. However don’t sleep on Chingy’s ability to put together hits, especially those to keep the ladies entertained. This will all be done tastefuly as he’s taken the route of not disrespecting women, or beefing with other artists. Sounds like Chingy could be that breath of fresh air we’ve all been waiting for. On the current state of hip-hop, he believes there needs to be more positivity. “These kids don’t know,” says Chingy referring to the drugs and violence, which seem to be a theme in the ever changing rap game. That being said, he does like the work of artists like Drake, Wale, and Wiz Khalifa.

Chingy was recently featured on VH1’s reality show, “Couples Therapy.” The show is built on the idea of couples trying to fix a relationship. He says that he learned a lot during that process, and that it was real and not an act for the cameras. It doesn’t stop there… From 2013 to Now he’s been working on a new reality show called “Business with The Baileys” a collaboration with his mom & sister, revamped his record label “FullDekk” & released the mixtape “FullDekk Fulloisphy” that features STL Artist, he’s been to Australia not once but twice co-headlining with Fabolous & Omarion then again for a solo run and has released two singles on iTunes “Falling & “Damn Girl” while still touring all around the US. Chingy is a busy man and has no problem managing all these ventures. The way he sees it, why not succeed at all levels so long as the people and experience involved are all positive.

To the critics and haters, Chingy is not listening. If you aren’t breaking bread at his table, you’re irrelevant. At the end of the day, he wants people to understand that he’s just a regular, down to earth guy who enjoys history and who likes to bowl when he’s not in the studio. This new found maturity could be exactly what gets Chingy back to the top… and honestly, hip-hop can use a few more Chingys.

Will Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ Setlist Change After ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ Release?

Taylor Swift ’s The Tortured Poets Department has already captivated the world , leaving her fans to wonder whether any of the new songs will pop up on her Eras Tour setlist.

Swift, 34, kicked off her three-hour concert series in March 2023 in Arizona, soon traversing the United States, Central and South America, Asia and Australia. The shows highlight most of her past albums: Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Folklore, Evermore and Midnights . There also is a section dedicated to “surprise songs,” where Swift adds two new acoustic renditions (most recently, mash-ups) to the show.

Swift has been on hiatus since early March, weeks before The Tortured Poets Department dropped on Friday, April 19. The record, her 11th studio album, features 31 songs including “Fortnight,” “So Long, London,” “Fresh Out the Slammer,” “So High School” and “thanK you aIMee.”

Swift’s fans planning to see Eras later this year — the tour leg kicks off in Paris on Thursday, May 9 — have since taken to social media, curious if they will be able to hear any TTPD live.

“OK listen I NEED Taylor to add ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart’ to the Eras Tour setlist. … Just that ONE. … PLEASE. … It was MADE for the Eras Tour !!!!!!!!!!” a social media user wrote via X.

Another added, “I am so obsessed with Taylor’s new album idk how to survive the Eras Tour (if I actually go twice I might just drop dead afterwards).”

Since Eras has sections dedicated to Swift’s previous albums , it is possible that TTPD could get its own mini-set in the lineup. Not all of her preexisting cohorts feature the same amount of songs, so Swift could cut some songs in order to add a time for Tortured Poets additions .

Spotify added further fuel to the fire on Friday as Swifties noticed the streaming platform’s official video for “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” a TTPD track, features footage solely from the Eras Tour.

Swift’s musical director David Cook , who has also been featured on several of her past LPs, also hinted that TTPD songs could make an appearance on the tour lineup.

“Not sure how much I can add to the discourse other than this album is really REALLY good. You FEEL it,” Cook wrote via Instagram on Friday, quoting “Loml” with a mind-blown emoji.

According to eagle-eyed Swifties that captured screenshots, Cook also wrote, “Wait until you hear the live versions.” The addition, however, has since been deleted.

Of course, it is also possible that Swift will drop a TTPD single in her surprise song section.

“How will The Tortured Poets Department affect the Eras Tour ? Hopefully only on surprise songs (in a good way),” an X user theorized.

While Swift has yet to address if TTPD will affect her Eras Tour setlist, she’s given fans insight into how she picks song s for the acoustic section.

Per the Grammy winner, she “invented [her] crazy acoustic section,” to be able to play “as many songs” as she could way over the 44 staples at each show. Adding TTPD tracks there seems like an easy way to do just that, if you ask Us.

Stary Oskol - Overview

Stary Oskol is a city in Russia located in the Belgorod region, standing on the banks of the Oskol River, about 142 km northeast of Belgorod, 632 km south of Moscow.

The population of Stary Oskol is about 222,600 (2022), the area - 134 sq. km.

History of stary oskol.

In 1300, there was a village called Ugly on the the territory of the present city. Today, it is one of the districts of Stary Oskol. At that time, the village was part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and was a border crossing point on the border with the Golden Horde.

The settlement of Oskol was founded by Russian Tsar Fyodor Ioanovich’s order (Ivan’s the Terrible son) to protect the southern borders of the Russian kingdom in 1593. The bulk of the population were peasants and the military.

In 1617, the town was burned by the Poles. In 1625, 1642 and 1677, the Crimean Tatars approached Stary Oskol, but could not capture it. The town was renamed Stary Oskol (meaning Old Oskol) in 1655, when the town of Tsaryov-Alexeyev, located down the river, was renamed Novy Oskol (New Oskol). Fortifications of the town existed until the 18th century.

More Historical Facts…

Gradually, Stary Oskol turned into peaceful, commercial and merchant town - the center of an agricultural district. Industrial production was represented mainly by enterprises on processing agricultural products.

In 1780, the town got its coat of arms. In 1784, Stary Oskol like most Russian towns of that time was rebuilt according to a new plan signed by Empress Catherine II. A large number of brick houses were built, mostly two-story buildings. The historic center of Stary Oskol has been preserved to our time.

In the second half of the 19th century, the town had a wide network of schools, libraries, reading rooms, printing, secondary schools. In 1894, construction of the railway began, trade and industry began to develop rapidly.

Until the 1930s, there were eleven Orthodox churches in Stary Oskol. During the Second World War, Stary Oskol was occupied by the Germans from July 2, 1942 to February 5, 1943. In 1954, the city became part of the newly formed Belgorod region.

In the late 1960s - early 1970s, in connection with the active development of the Kursk Magnetic Anomaly (the most powerful iron ore basin in the world), Stary Oskol became a major center of iron and steel industry.

Stary Oskol was declared a city of three top-priority Komsomol construction projects. The largest enterprises: Lebedinsky Mining and Processing Plant, Stoilensky Mining and Processing Plant, Oskolsky Electrometallurgical Plant became not only the city-forming enterprises, but also the largest industrial enterprises of the country. Stary Oskol experienced a new birth.

Today, Stary Oskol is a rapidly developing city, one of the leading mining and metallurgical centers of Russia.

Stary Oskol - Features

The coat of arms of Stary Oskol is a shield divided in half diagonally, in the red field there is a rifle, in the green field - a golden plow. It reflects both military and agricultural importance of the town.

Stary Oskol is among Russian cities with the youngest population. The average age of its citizens is about 35 years. The main reason lies in the history of the city. In the second half of the 20th century, a large number of members of the Young Communist League came to Stary Oskol to participate in the construction of large industrial enterprises.

Unique reserves of iron ore, developed industry and infrastructure, high scientific, technical and industrial potential, fertile land form the basis of Stary Oskol economy.

The main branches of local industry are mining, ferrous metallurgy, machine building and metalworking, building materials, food industry. There are more than 140 large and medium industrial enterprises, which employ more than 80 thousand people.

Attractions of Stary Oskol

The city has more than a dozen Orthodox churches and chapels. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral (Tokareva Street, 4/1) is the main church of Stary Oskol. St. Trinity Church (Bolshevistskaya Street, 17/15), built in 1730, is the oldest church in the city.

The Zoo was opened in Stary Oskol in 2008. Bears, lions, tigers, monkeys, wolves, camels, ostriches, and other species of birds and animals live there.

Museum of Local Lore (Lenina Street, 50). The museums, founded in 1923, has exhibitions about the history of Stary Oskol. It is located in a building which is a monument of history and culture of the 19th century once owned by the merchants and brothers Likhutins.

The museum organizes tours of the city and the area including visits to an ancient Russian settlement of Kholki, an underground monastery in Melovy mountains, and a biosphere reserve “Yamskaya steppe”.

Art Museum (Lenina Street, 57). The collection of local masters of folk clay toys (O.M.Goncharova and N.M.Goncharova) is a real pearl of the museum. Stary Oskol folk clay toys production was known from the end of the 18th century.

House Museum of Vasily Yeroshenko (Yeroshenko Street, 15). Yeroshenko’s life is a living legend for blind people not only in Russia but also abroad. He encourages disabled people, supports them with his talent, helps them on their ways to improve techniques. Yeroshenko spoke 12 foreign languages and was the professor of universities in Tokyo and Beijing, he became a classic of Japan literature for children.

SEVENTEEN announce encore leg of 2023 and 2024 ‘Follow’ Asia tour

K-pop boyband SEVENTEEN have announced their ‘Follow Again’ tour, the new encore leg of their ‘Follow’ Asia tour.

Today (January 29), SEVENTEEN announced the encore leg of their tour, titled the ‘Follow Again’ tour. It’ll feature six shows in March and May this year, in the East Asian cities of Incheon, Osaka and Yokohama.

“We have prepared the encore tour as a token of gratitude towards Carat, who have shown love for the band,” their agency PLEDIS Entertainment said in a press release, per Korea JoongAng Daily . “Please look forward to the band’s best performance at the concert.”

The newly added shows follow the conclusion of SEVENTEEN’s original 20-date ‘Follow’ tour across Asia. From July 2023 to January 2024, the boyband held concerts in South Korea, Japan, Bangkok, the Philippines and more.

Ken Carson has announced the 2024 Chaos World Tour, an extensive run of dates that will bring the Atlanta rapper across North America and Europe. He’s hitting the road in support of his new album, A Great Chaos , which came out last October. Find the complete list of tour dates below.

The 2024 Chaos World Tour begins in Orlando, Florida, on July 8 and keeps Ken Carson on the road until October 5, where he ends the run in Prague, Czech Republic. Kygo announces 2024 world tour, check out dates, venues, special guests

“time to bring the music to you part one of my world tour starts this fall with my friends and special guests,” kygo shared with his fans.

Kygo is ready to hit the road again! The Norwegian DJ took to social media on Monday, April 22, to announce the first part of his World Tour. The 32-year-old record producer also revealed that he will joined by his “friends and special guests” Zara Larsson, Sofi Tukker, Gryffin, Sam Feldt, Haylasings, Vandelux, Victoria Nadine, and Klangkarussell.

“Time to bring the music to you!!! Part One of my World Tour starts this fall with my friends and special guests,” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter. Starting this fall, Kygo will embark on the European and North American leg of his 2024 World Tour. You can check out the full list of dates and corresponding venues below:

Stary Oskol is the Belgorod Region’s second city by population and today consists of two main parts: the historical centre on the hill and the new centre made up of blocks of housing estates (mikroraiony). It is named after the river on which it stands on; the word stary (old) was added to distinguish it from the new settlement of Novy Oskol (New Oskol). There was no rest for the weary with a signature event on tap one week after the masters.

Players have made the short trip from Augusta, Georgia, to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, for the 2024 RBC Heritage. In total, 69 golfers teed it up on Harbour Town Golf Links as yet another signature event on the PGA Tour's playing calendar rolls on.

Unlike the Genesis Invitational or Arnold Palmer Invitational, the RBC Heritage does not feature a 36-hole cut, meaning the entirety of the field will be around for the weekend. That is music to the ears to those who missed out on the weekend action at the Masters, including the likes of Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Wyndham Clark and Brian Harman.

Spieth, the 2022 champion, looks to kickstart his season after a disappointing showing at Augusta National. He is no stranger to bouncing back at the RBC Heritage, following a missed cut at the year's first major championship with a win a week later in Hilton Head. He's not in contention to win this tournament, but he's certainly playing better than he did last week.

This tournament, like the rest on the PGA Tour these days, goes through Scottie Scheffler. The world No. 1 aims to collect his fourth trophy in his last five tournaments, and he holds the 54-hole lead entering the final day of play. Fresh off slipping on his second green jacket, Scheffler has widened the gap between him and the rest of the world and shows no signs of slowing down. Collin Morikawa and Ludvig Åberg -- just as they did at the Masters -- are breathing down Scheffler's neck on Sunday.
