Happy Together 2023 Tour Begins

The Turtles continue as the signature headliners, but with the voice of the Archies, Ron Dante , again joining Turtles founding member and singer Mark Volman. (Fellow Turtles founder, Howard Kaylan, hasn’t participated for several years.)

The rest of the 2023 lineup: Gary Puckett , Little Anthony, the Vogues, the Classics IV and  The Cowsills . Together, they represent dozens of Top 10 radio hits. Watch them all perform in the opening night’s finale below.

The Turtles have sold over 40 million records worldwide. Their hits include: “Happy Together,” “She’d Rather Be With Me,” “Elenore,” “It Ain’t Me Babe” and “You Showed Me.”

Gary Puckett & the Union Gap enjoyed five Top 10 singles including their 1967 debut, “Woman Woman,” as well as “Young Girl” and “Lady Willpower.”

Little Anthony led the vocal group the Imperials to their first hit, “Tears On My Pillow,” in 1958, and followed it with such singles as “Goin’ Out of My Head” and “Hurt So Bad.”

The Vogues scored such Top 10 singles as “Turn Around, Look at Me,” “You’re the One” and “Five O’Clock World.”

The Classics IV scored three top 5 singles within two years, “Spooky,” “Stormy” and “Traces.” Their frontman, Dennis Yost, died in 2018.

The Cowsills have been part of the last several years of the tour. Bob, Paul and Susan Cowsill are a family singing group and the original inspiration for television’s  The Partridge Family  and are best known for the songs “The Rain, The Park and Other Things,” “Hair,” “Indian Lake” and “Love American Style.” They released a well-received studio album, Rhythm of the World , in 2022.

Happy Together Tour 2023

The hit-filled Happy Together Tour that has crisscrossed the country for more than a decade returns to the State Fair with a show full of chart-topping hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s – an undeniable 61 Billboard Top 40 smashes. The tour once again features The Turtles, who also act as musical hosts for the evening. The Turtles are joined by Little Anthony, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, The Vogues, The Classics IV and The Cowsills.

The Turtles

The Turtles are best known for their harmony-heavy California pop sound. With hits such as “Elenore,” “She’d Rather Be With Me,” “It Ain’t Me Babe,” “You Showed Me” and the title of the tour, “Happy Together,” the band ruled the airwaves in the late ‘60s. Ron Dante joins the lineup to delight with his own mega-hits “Sugar, Sugar” and “Tracy.”

Little Anthony

With 60-plus years in show business and more than 50 million records sold worldwide, Little Anthony has a voice that is considered one of the greatest of all time. He performs some of the most iconic songs ever written, including “Goin’ Out of My Head,” “Hurts So Bad,” “Tears on My Pillow,” “I’m on the Outside (Looking In)” and “Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko-Ko-Bop.” Little Anthony was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2009.

Gary Puckett & The Union Gap

Gary Puckett’s trademark voice belts out the hits that fans affectionately remember: “Young Girl,” “Over You,” “Woman, Woman,” “This Girl Is a Woman Now,” “Lady Willpower” and “Don’t Give in to Him,” to name just a few.

The Vogues, known for their harmony-driven soaring pop sound, had numerous Top 10 hits with singles such as “Five O’Clock World,” “You’re the One,” “My Special Angel” and “Turn Around, Look at Me,” among others.

The Classics IV

With their southern soft-rock sound, The Classics IV are one of the most popular and influential pop groups of the ‘60s and ‘70s. They achieved phenomenal success with multiplatinum hits “Spooky,” “Stormy,” “Traces” and “Everyday With You Girl.”

The Cowsills

This harmonious singing family of two brothers and a sister, which inspired the smash ‘60s hit television show “The Partridge Family,” are sure to delight with their best-known songs “Hair,” “Indian Lake,” “The Rain, the Park & Other Things (I Love the Flower Girl)” and more.

The 13th edition lineup of the popular tour of ’60s pop music acts, known as the Happy Together tour, has announced its 2023 dates and lineup. The tour is named, of course, for  the Turtles’  big hit that reached #1 on March 25, 1967.

The Turtles continue as the signature headliners, but with the voice of the Archies,  Ron Dante , again joining Turtles founding member and singer Mark Volman. (Fellow Turtles founder, Howard Kaylan, hasn’t participated  for several years.)

The 2023 tour will mark the 14 th year of the highly successful, hit-filled summer package, the “HAPPY TOGETHER” Tour.  The touring sensation that has criss-crossed the nation delighting audiences for over a decade returns this summer with a show full of chart-topping hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s – an undeniable 61 Billboard Top 40 smashes.  The Tour is once again joined by The Turtles , who also act as musical hosts for the evening.  Along with The Turtles will be Little Anthony , Gary Puckett & The Union Gap , The Vogues , The Classics IV , and The Cowsills .

Classic rockers The Turtles have announced their 13th annual Happy Together Tour joined by another fantastic lineup of popular ’60s music acts. The 2023 version of the tour kicks off May 31st in Clearwater and runs into September visiting Englewood, Westbury, Lancaster, Beverly Hills, New Buffalo and Saint Charles. In addition to The Turtles, the rest of the lineup consists of Little Anthony , Gary Puckett & the Union Gap , The Vogues , The Classics IV and The Cowsills .

Back in 2019, the 10th anniversary of the tour was joined by Chuck Negron (formerly of Three Dog Night) , The Buckinghams , Gary Puckett & the Union Gap, The Classics IV and The Cowsills. The prior year, The Turtles' founding member Howard Kaylan was sidelined “for medical reasons” and was replaced by Ron Dante from The Archies . In previous years, this exciting throwback tour has featured other ’60s acts including Mitch Ryder , Mark Farner , Gary Lewis and the Playboys , Micky Dolenz and The Grass Roots .
