C-SPAN ’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2019 LCV Cities Tour” in Indianapolis, Indiana, from September 21-27, 2019, to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Charter cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN 3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on Book TV on C-SPAN 2. close

An inaugural gift from Texas rancher D.M. O'Conner, one of the 3 plaques read: Thermophyae Had Her Messenger Of Defeat But The Alamo And Refugio Had None.

The chair seat is upholstered in original leopard hide.

Charles Puppe crafted the chair in 1889. It has 12 matching Texas longhorns and nickel-plated glass ball casters.
