Mariah Carey Announces Merry Christmas One and All! 2023 Tour Dates: 'The Actual Defrosting Has Begun'

The Queen of Christmas is hitting the road for the holidays once again!

On Monday, Mariah Carey announced her Merry Christmas One and All! tour — a 13-date run will kick off on Nov. 15 in Highland, California, along with Los Angeles, Montreal, Chicago and more.

She shared the news on X (formerly Twitter) with a cheeky message to her fans.

"Yes, the actual defrosting has begun! Announcing the MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL Tour! On sale 10/6," she wrote."

The tour will wrap on Dec. 17 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Produced by Live Nation, Carey's latest string of shows are her "exclusive Christmas concerts for this holiday season," per a press release.

"This festive event is a celebration of the global superstar's timeless collection of holiday classics including the record-breaking mega-hit, 'All I Want for Christmas Is You,' and fan favorite chart toppers," it continued.

Tickets for presales will begin Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. local time ahead of the general onsale on Friday, Oct. 6 at 10 a.m. local time at  LiveNation.com . 

The holiday season has long been synonymous with the "Heartbreaker" singer.

Back in 2014, she hosted the six-night residency,, All I Want for Christmas Is You: A Night of Joy and Festivity at the Beacon Theatre in N.Y.C.

In 2016, she brought the residency back and then turned it into a tour.

Three years later, she celebrated the 25th anniversary of her album Merry Christmas with the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" tour featuring a set of concerts at her Las Vegas residency, as well as in N.Y.C., Boston and Atlantic City.

The pop star also shared Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special on Apple TV+ in 2020, and dropped the single “Oh Santa!," which featured Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson .

In 2022, Carey recorded a performance at Madison Square Garden for the CBS special Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas to All , which featured guest appearances from Drew Barrymore and Billy Porter .

Christmas came early this year: Mariah Carey has announced her Merry Christmas One and All! tour — and this year’s run of holiday-themed shows will be her biggest Christmas-season adventure yet.

Carey will kick off her festive trek on November 15 in Highland, California, and wrap up on December 17 in New York at Madison Square Garden. The 13-date tour is her longest Christmas-season tour yet and her first country-wide trek for this seasonal show since 2019.

Carey began her Christmas shows in 2014 with her All I Want for Christmas Is You mini-residencies at New York’s Beacon Theatre. In 2017, she added a Las Vegas run as well as dates in Europe. The following year, it was exclusively shown in Europe before returning to North America in 2019 for a set of shows. After a pandemic-induced break, Carey brought her holiday season live shows back to just New York and Toronto last winter.

It’s that time of the year again: Mariah Carey is getting back in the Christmas spirit.

On Monday morning, the singer revealed her “Merry Christmas One and All” tour, spreading holiday cheer across North America starting in mid-November. The 13-date trek kicks off in Highland, CA on November 15, with plans to make stops in Chicago, Boston, Toronto, Detroit and more before concluding at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on December 17.

Today, the iconic Mariah Carey went to social media to announce her Merry Christmas One and All tour, which is set to begin right before the holiday season.

The singer’s 13-date tour kicks off in Highland, CA on November 15, and will make stops in Chicago, Boston, Toronto, Detroit and more before concluding at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on December 17.

“Yes, the actual defrosting has begun!” Carey wrote in the caption of her announcement post on Twitter (X) .

Carey, who has one of the most successful Christmas songs of all-time, always flourishes during winter. In 2014, she had a six-night residency at New York City’s Beacon Theatre; reviving the residency for two years before expanding it into a world tour. In 2021, she released Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special on Apple TV+, and also filmed the CBS special Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas to All! in 2022.

Tickets for Merry Christmas One and All will be available for presale beginning on October 4 at 10am, with general sale starting October 6.

All we want for Christmas is tickets to Mariah Carey’s upcoming holiday tour.

The self-appointed Queen of Christmas unveiled dates on Monday for her Merry Christmas One and All! tour, which includes several stops in the United States and Canada. The seasonal concert series is scheduled to kick off Nov. 15 at the Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, near San Bernardino, followed by a Nov. 17 show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

“Yes, the actual defrosting has begun!” Carey wrote Monday on Instagram .

The announcement was an early surprise from the singer-songwriter , who typically waits until midnight on Nov. 1 to say goodbye to Halloween and ring in the holiday season by spreading yuletide cheer on social media to the tune of her Christmas classic, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

It’s only fitting that Carey would embark on a holiday tour during the time of year that “All I Want for Christmas” is poised to return to No. 1 on the music charts. The song’s enduring popularity has already spawned a number of related holiday ventures — from duets with Justin Bieber and Michael Bublé to a Christmas special on Apple TV+.

In a December 2020 interview with The Times , Carey reflected on her experience co-writing the tune with longtime collaborator Walter Afanasieff, recalling the moment the infectious melody just “kind of popped out” of her. The track debuted in 1994 and has maintained its status as a Christmastime staple ever since.

“We wanted it to feel classic,” Carey told The Times.

“I didn’t want it to feel ’90s. It probably feels ’90s now to people who are nostalgic about the ’90s. But in the ’90s, it was something different. ... I wanted it to be timeless. And to feel festive. ... We were having the best time in the studio. It sounds corny, but I think you can hear it on the record.”

After launching her Christmas tour in California, Carey is slated to travel to various cities — from Chicago to Boston — before ending her holiday concert series at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Dec. 17.

Mariah Carey is officially on tour for her Merry Christmas One And All! shows and the first show looks like it was a hit!

The Queen of Christmas kicked off the 16-date run with a show at the Yaamava’ Theater on Wednesday night (November 15) in Highland, Calif.

Mariah is performing two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles this weekend and she’ll also be hitting cities like Denver, Kansas City, Toronto, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, and more before wrapping the tour at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

This festive event is a celebration of the global superstar’s timeless collection of holiday classics including the record-breaking mega-hit, “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” and fan favorite chart toppers.

Mariah is making history this weekend at the Billboard Music Awards.

Mariah Carey Unveils 2023 Merry Christmas One and All! Tour Dates

Pop hitmaker Mariah Carey is reviving her annual holiday tour for 2023. Announced today (October 2), her Merry Christmas One and All! live extravaganza will kick off next month.

Beginning on November 15 with a performance in Highland, California, the trek will make its way to 13 cities across North America. Carey will wrap up her Merry Christmas One and All! Tour with a concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City on December 17.

Carey’s 2022 leg of her Merry Christmas One and All! Tour marked her first time back on the live stage since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Fans who attend this year’s set of dates can expect to hear a mix of holiday classics and seasonal-appropriate originals, including Carey’s trademark hit, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

Multiple pre-sales for select dates will begin on October 4 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by a general on-sale that starts on October 6 at 10 a.m. local time via Live Nation . Fans can choose from various ticketing options, including VIP packages

All Mariah Carey wants for Christmas is for you to attend her 2023 holiday tour, a 13-date jaunt taking place across North America.

The singer’s “Merry Christmas One and All!” performances kick off on November 15th in Highland, California ahead of stops in Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, and more before wrapping up on December 17th at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. See the full itinerary below.

A Live Nation pre-sale will begin on Thursday, October 5th (use access code VOCALS ) ahead of the general on-sale slated for Friday, October 6th via Ticketmaster .

Once tickets are on sale, you can also find them at StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

In what has become an annual tradition since 2019, look for Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” to return to the top of the charts as the holiday season approaches. In the meantime, perhaps she will release her long-lost grunge album , as she teased last year.

Mariah Carey Embraces Her Famous Holiday Season Meme In New Video

Famous singer mariah carey defrosts from a block of ice in her latest video, along with reminding her fans about her upcoming tour..

Mariah Carey has officially embraced the long-running meme that she only comes out once a year during the holiday winter season of November, December, and January – known for her chart-topping songs about Christmas .

Carey shared a video to YouTube titled “IT'S TIME!!”, a video that shows her encapsulated and frozen in a block of ice, seemingly being defrosted by prior holiday characters such as Ghostface from Scream , Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th , among other non-Christmas-type characters.

The joke Carey is clearly embracing is that she truly only emerges for the Christmas holidays, a season she has been famous for singing about throughout her entire career with iconic tracks such as “All I Want for Christmas Is You”, “Joy to the World”, “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)”, “Oh Santa!”, and more.

LAS VEGAS – Moments before wrapping her glossy and efficient new residency show, Mariah Carey wanted to share a message.

“Protect your dreams,” she intoned on video as the text scrolled across a halo of lighting. “It’s all about faith. For me, I can’t define it, but it has defined me.”

Uplifting messages permeate Carey’s production at Dolby Live at Park MGM, officially dubbed " Mariah Carey: The Celebration of Mimi Live in Las Vegas ."

The 90-minute show – Carey’s third Vegas residency – premiered last week in honor of the near-20-year anniversary of the album “The Emancipation of Mimi.” After performances on April 24, 26 and 27, she’ll return for eight dates in July and August. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. PT Friday via ticketmaster.com.

Much like U2’s run at the Sphere, where “Achtung Baby” grabbed the spotlight, Carey’s show ostensibly highlights her hip-hop-inflected return in 2005. “Mimi” not only snagged eight Grammy nominations in 2006, but with bright production from Jermaine Dupri , it birthed hits “Shake It Off,” “We Belong Together” and “It’s Like That,” among others.

Devout fans will cherish hearing “Fly Like a Bird” – which closes her set – and “I Wish You Knew,” as neither song has been played frequently since 2006. Likewise “Circles,” which has rarely been heard on stage in a decade , and the equally infrequent “Say Somethin.’”

But from the moment a stately curtain parted to connect Carey, 55, with her “lambs,” her thigh-baring champagne-colored gown perfectly positioned and her honey-hued hair cascading onto her shoulders, it was apparent Carey’s decades of hits wouldn’t be shunned.

As sliding platforms glided behind her, Carey dug into “Vision of Love,” hitting her glass-shattering notes with seeming ease. A pack of male dancers slipped on and off the stage as Carey, tiptoeing in stilettos to get closer to fans bearing gifts, shimmied through “Make It Happen.”

During a lush ballad combo – “Can’t Let Go” and her searing cover of The Jackson 5’s “I’ll Be There” – Carey looked beatific as her chin quivered while again reaching for those skyscraper notes.

Most of the songs were reproduced in full, but it’s too bad her rewarding take on “Without You,” the aching ballad most associated with Harry Nilsson, was one of a few presented in shortened form.

But from the peak syrup of “Hero” to the thumping beat of “Fantasy,” Carey offered fans a gratifying overview of her own eras.

Mariah Carey carries herself like a diva, but is she really?

One of the most e ndearing traits a bout Carey is that while she enlists two of her dancers to carry the train of one of her beaded gowns as she arrives to sing “Circles” and grins while her makeup is retouched at the start of “Say Somethin’,” it all unfolds with obvious self-deprecation.

Carey might be gussied up in high-end couture from designers including Gaurav Gupta and Robert Wun, but she’s a Long Islander at heart, a down-to-earth entertainer with undiminished moxie and quick wit (“My earring fell off. We’re getting off to a wonderful start,” she joked after a couple of songs at Wednesday’s performance).

She shared a story about Aretha Franklin tutoring her not to accept anyone “playing games” while rehearsing for the 1998 “Divas Live” concert and frequently attempted to sign swag – or, on this night, a forearm – for the zealous fans clustered at the front of the stage.

“I want to sign all of these things, but it’s too haaaaard ,” Carey said with mock exasperation (in reality, she was a bit too far to safely lean into the crowd).

The luminous Carey positions herself as an untouchable diva, and indeed, the show segment that featured her reclining on a blush velvet couch for the dramatic ballad “Looking In” furthered the expectation.

But the maven of the “Lambily” that has supported her for decades isn't so much a prima donna but an icon.
