Here is the description from The Bradford Exchange : “Officially-licensed by CBS Studios, Inc. , each of the crew member figurines in this collection is superbly hand-cast and hand-painted for exceptional likeness and authentic details true to the classic TV show – from their facial expressions to the distinctive insignia on their U.S.S. Enterprise uniforms. Plus, their legs are crafted of clear artist’s resin featuring shimmering glitter within to dramatically capture the “transporter effect.” Each figurine stands on a clear base. The fully sculpted transporter display is the ideal place to showcase your Star Trek figurines with spots for each crew member to stand. The lights in the platform shine up and into each figurine, reminiscent of the crew being ‘energized’ in the TV show. Plus, the transporter plays sound effects inspired by the show. Complementing the transporter, the light-up console is meticulously handcrafted to recreate the elaborate controls of the original.

Each issue will cost $39.99 and $8.99 shipping. Subscribers can cancel at any time.

star trek tng transporter toy

Classic Star Trek Collector Figure Set Accessories: Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, Uhura, Sulu, Chekov, Classic Enterprise Action Base Years Released: 1993 Scarcity Factor: Can be found on the secondary market, but getting tougher each year Notes: The Classic Star Trek Collector Figure Set was released in 1993 and included all seven of the classic original series Star Trek characters, Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Dr. McCoy, Uhura, Scotty, Sulu and Chekov. The figures came packaged with a very nice looking cardboard action Enterprise set. This was the first time that Star Trek fans ever saw Sulu or Chekov in any type of action figure form. The set was limited to 150,000 pieces and was individually numbered.

In 1993, the Playmates toy company was having a pretty good year. They had the most successful action figure line in the world with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and their gamble with the Star Trek franchise was really beginning to pay off. The Star Trek: The Next Generation television show was a huge success and brought Star Trek back to audiences in a big way. In fact, it was such a hit that Paramount began another Star Trek show that begin airing in 1993 called Deep Space Nine. Since Playmates had the master license for all Star Trek IP, they now had the freedom to make whichever figures they wanted, and they decided to continue with their Next Generation line with a second wave in 1993. Sales were steadily increasing for the Next Generation line and the Star Trek world was now expanding, so Star Trek toys were becoming popular again. Star Trek was being re-introduced to a new audience, who was seeing it for the first time on television with the new shows. This was truly a great time to be a Star Trek fan with all the new content and merchandise hitting the market.

For its second series of Star Trek products, Playmates once again focused on The Star Trek: The Next Generation television series, which was the current show on television at the time. Playmates released a whopping 23 figures for this series, as well as four light and sound ships, and two playsets. The wave consisted of newer and different versions of classic Next Generation characters, such as Captain Jean-Luc Picard; Commander Will Riker; Lieutenant Commander Data; Lieutenant Commander Geordi LaForge; Lieutenant Worf; Counselor Deanna Troi; and a generic Borg. We also got several brand new characters including Dr. Beverly Crusher, Wesley Crusher, Guinan, Commander Sela, Dathon, K’Ehleyr, Locutus, Lore, Mordock, Q, and Vorgon. We also got Next Generation figures of classic characters, Admiral McCoy, Captain Scott, and Ambassador Spock. Four new lights and sounds ships were produced, Klingon Attack Cruiser, Romulan Warbird and two different versions of the Enterprise. Finally, we also got two different playsets for the 4.5″ figures, the Bridge Playset and Transporter Room Playset.

The packaging for the 4.5 Inch line of Star Trek The Next Generation figures in 1993 was virtually identical to the previous year, with very attractive and definitely eye catching designs. It featured the classic Star Trek Next Generation logo across the top of the card in big bold blue letters, which was set onto an illustration of the Enterprise flying forward. The Enterprise rendering went across the top of the card in a very well done die-cut way. The figure was centered on the card in a classic blister pack format. To the right of each figure and inside the blister bubble were all the accessories and action bases for each figure. There was a ton of different colors all over the card, which really made the packaging pop. The card backs featured head shots of each character’s action figure, as well various accessories and ships that were available for the wave. Overall, this was an example of some beautifully done packaging for Playmate’s first Star Trek effort, and the TLC given to the design definitely showed in a big way.

Star Trek: The Next Generation – Lt. Commander Data – Essential Version Data is one of the most popular characters in Star Trek, and no other character better expresses the wonder of discovery that is the heart of Star Trek than this android with a soul. The EXO-6 1:6 scale figure of Data will not only embody the hopefulness of the character, but also bring an element of Brent Spiner’s performance into collector’s homes. When introduced in the first episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Data was a one-of-a-kind cybernetic organism, an artificial being that wanted nothing more than to be just like the imperfect humans he served with aboard the Enterprise. Throughout the series he evolved into a person, an officer and a friend to many of the crew. This 1:6-scale figure re-creates this iconic character in exquisite 1:6 detail. Standing approximately 12 inches tall, every element, from his 24th century tunic to his custom black boots, is authentically reproduced. The original portrait sculpts of Brent Spiner as Data have authentic, hand-painted likenesses. The EXO-6 Data Essential Version 1:6 Scale Articulated Figure includes: Fully Articulated Body: More than 30 points of articulation allow the figure to be displayed in multiple dynamic poses, approximately 30 cm tall. Realistic Portrait: Lovingly rendered by a top artist, this is an excellent likeness of Brent Spiner in his role as Data. Each head sculpt is specially hand-painted. Starfleet Duty Uniform: Meticulously researched, this duty uniform matches the pattern, and color of the original costume recreated in 1:6 scale. Magnets are sewn into the uniform so the holsters for the tricorder and phaser can be attached. An authentically scaled communicator badge is permanently affixed to the tunic. Four interchangeable hands; One pair of relax hands One left phaser holding hand. One Right tricorder holding hand. Boots: Soft plastic boots sculpted to match the cut and style of the original movie footwear. Display Base: A hexagonal display base featuring the transporter pad will provide additional support for the figure. Two different inserts for the floor of the base can represent the transporter pad or the center of the transporter array. Accessories Lt. Commander Data is outfitted with everything needed for a Star Fleet officer. He comes equipped with: Type II hand phaser. The phaser can be worn in a black holster that magnetically attaches to the jumpsuit. TR-580 Tricorder VII: This standard tricorder can be opened or worn in a holster. This fine collectible figure is an excellent rendition of everyone’s favorite android and a great start to your EXO-6 Star Trek™: The Next Generation 1:6-scale figure collection. —————————————- Star Trek: The Next Generation – Lt.
