Advanced Intelligent Tourist Guide

Download project document/synopsis.

The project is developed using Visual Studio with Asp .Net as programming language. There are two entities who will have the access to the system. One is the admin and another one will be the registered user. Admin will add places with their details such as place name, image, address, area, latitude-longitude, tags and description. Admin can view all the added places and also can edit if required. User is new he/she will have to fill the registration form (username, password, email, full name, contact no. and type of places i.e. tags.). After registration, user can login with the valid id and password. After login, user will get the places recommendation based on the preferences which were taken in the form of tags while registration. Based on the provided details by the user, an intelligent tree algorithm will run and best results will be provided from the database. Clicking on each result will provide the user with the description of spots/locations along with the pictures. To view the tour plan, user need to select any two between dates from which the days and the places details with description. System will show multiple places with its images and other description which will be viewable on map. User can provide feedback to admin regarding the working of the system. Admin can view all the feedback messages received from the registered users.

The system stresses security by safeguarding tourist and other data and granting access to only authorized individuals. The technology is a cutting-edge solution that will assist in vacation planning and make it easier to handle tourists and clients. The system can provide solutions to tourism management difficulties and will be available to anyone with a device that has a functional browser and internet access.

General Objective – The researchers’ overall goal is to design, develop, and implement a tourist web application utilizing PHP and MySQL.

Creating and deploying a tourism web application with PHP and MySQL.

It is a valuable resource for tourists, as it helps them to plan their trip and navigate their way around.
Admin Control Panel – this is where the administrator manages all the modules of the Tourism Web Application. Tourism management p roject overview

Well, We all know these days everyone loves to travel or explore new places. At the same time tourist are worried about the accommodation and find the best and secure places to stay or spend the best holidays.

Online Tourism Management System will come with some solution that going to solve lots of problems like a tourist can book his holiday packages before leaving the own house. That Includes all the accommodation and the in-depth details about the places and the hotels.

This is a web application and programmed in Java. using JSP, HTML, CSS, Servlet, MYSQL and deployed over the tomcat server. It using MVC architecture to manage the resources and files and using the Maven tool to manage the dependencies.

Let’s highlight some key points about the tourism management system in java.

Users can view all the places according to the location or types of holidays and adventure.
Users can estimate the price or select any holiday package according to the requirement.
The online tourism management system will take responsibility for all the needful things about the customer requirement.
A centralized admin can manage all the actors of the application like hotel managers, Places manager,s or all types of customers.

Tourist or user.

Tourist is the main module of the application. tourists can view the packages and book any selected package according to the requirement. the User can explore the place virtually by using images or video clips.

Users can log in and register in the application at any time from anywhere and check the booking history also can make a new booking.

Holiday packages

The holiday package is the main born of the system that contains all the details about the places like images, name of the place, description, Price, duration in days or hours, and the adventure that the user can do at that place ETC.

Images will help the user to explore the place and find some positive gestures about the place or we have another option here to add video clips about the place that also will be a good idea. We can keep this for future enhancement.

Travel Agent

This module contains all the details about the travel agents according to the locations. Travel agents also can register as new users and log in as an existing user in the application at the same time travel agent can delete or update personal details. Users can find the contact details of the travel agent and contact them.

Actors of application

mainly there are 3 actors of the application let’s discuss the role and responsibility of the actors in detail.

Admin will be the root user of the application that can manage all the other users or data of the application. like an admin can manage all the users or tourists.
Admin can Edit, Delete, Update the user.
Admin can edit, delete and update the tourist places.
Admin can edit, delete and update the hotels or the hotel managers.
Users can Register in the application.
Users can log in to the application.
Users can view all the tourist places.
Users can make bookings of any holiday package.
Users can make payments online.
The manager can Add, Edit, update new places.
The manager can Add images about the places.
The manager can check the booking according to location.
The manager can arrange the agent details.

I have made a Travel And Tourism Application CRUD Application (Java MySQL) Application to provide automation to the Travel application

Travel and Tourism Application built in Java has all the features available for a perfect CRUD Application example. The software starts with a splash screen every time a user or customer opens the Software.

(i) For the Front end part java swing is used and for the backend, MySQL Database is used.

(ii) Database is created by using XAMMP control panel and localhost/PHPMyAdmin

(iii) Login form for users is created along with forgot password feature with a security answer which is taken during the sign-up process

(iv) Full-Screen DashBoard with dashboard panel in vertical format at the left of the page.

(iv) Adding Details features is provided for the customers who have signed in. Customer can update their details with the help of updated details features

(v) Package viewing page in a variety of 3 (gold, silver, and bronze)

(vi) Packages can be booked by the customer but only one package is permitted per every customer

(vi) Hotels can be viewed using the slide show page and can be booked with features like Ac/non-Ac, Food availability, etc.

(vii) Payment Features is there but only for the front end purpose

(vii) Utility tabs like Calculator, notepad, and About the project are also present.

(viii) This application will help in accessing the information related to travel to a particular destination with great ease. The users can track the information related to their tours with great ease through this application. The travel agency information can also be obtained through this application.
