Thy Art Is Murder + After the Burial Announce Late Spring 2022 Co-Headline Tour

It's about to get heavy in late spring. That's because Thy Art Is Murder have booked travel stateside where they'll join up with After the Burial on just over a month-long trek leading into the summer.

The "Back From the Gulag" tour gets underway May 10 in Sacramento, California, heading across country, dipping into Canada and then returning to the West Coast for a June 18 tour finale in Portland, Oregon. And the two headliners are not alone, as Currents and Brand of Sacrifice will be joining the 32-date trek as support acts.

For Thy Art Is Murder, the Aussie rockers hit these shores in support of their fifth studio album, Human Target , their 2019 set that featured the songs "Death Squad Anthem," "Make America Hate Again" and "New Gods" as well as the album's title track.

After the Burial also have a 2019 album to support as the band's Evergreen album already gave us the songs "Behold the Crown" and "Exit, Exist." It's certain to be a pummeling show from the opening moments until the final note rings out. See dates, cities and venues listed below.

Their set list was only 6 songs but they were all excellent songs. 2 from new album and 2 from Dig Deep and 2 older ones. Sounded flawless. More words more words more words.

Enjoyed the whole night. Four bands on the bill.Very low ticket cost for the show I got see. ATB sounds just as good LIVE as their produced CD's. Will definitely go see them again if they are within 3hrs. travel to my location.

5 Star performance. The tour was for Death Metal acts but After The Burial was the Heaviest and Best performance of the night. Shouldve been the headliners.

20-date Never Say Die road trip stars After The Burial and Suicide Silence with Currents, Spite, Invent Animate, Cabal and Boundaries

After The Burial and Suicide Silence have announced a tour of the UK and European that kicks off on November 5.

The 20-date Never Say Die road trip also features Currents, Spite, Invent Animate, Cabal and Boundaries.

After The Burial released most recent album Evergreen in 2019. They have a habit of launching a new record every three years, and were spotted last year in a studio. It’s likely an announcement is on the way.

Meanwhile, Suicide Silence recently confirmed the completion of work on Remember… You Must Die , their first with new drummer Ernie Iniguez. “Ernie recorded five songs the first day, which is mainly a set-up day normally,” lead guitarist Mark Heylum enthused.

“It was insane. We knocked out all the easy songs on day one. Day two, the other six, that was a hard day. But we still got done two hours early.” A release date hasn’t been announced yet.

Downtown After 5 2024: What to know about Asheville concert series

The Asheville Downtown Association has unveiled the 2024 concert lineup for the 36th annual Downtown After 5.

Downtown After 5 gives residents and visitors the chance to enjoy live music in the heart of downtown Asheville. Event organizers aim to highlight a nonprofit partner with themes that celebrate "diverse musical genres, food and beverage offerings, local makers and community initiatives."

This year's webpage said the concert series for 2024 promises an "eclectic mix of music and themes" to pair with their collaborations with local nonprofits.

Where is Downtown After 5?

Each Downtown After 5 event is held on North Lexington Avenue in downtown Asheville. The stage is set up near the Interstate-240 overpass.

When is Downtown After 5 in 2024?

Downtown After 5 concerts are scheduled for the third Friday of each month from April through September. The first event is April 19. The shows run from 5 p.m. until about 9 p.m.

How much does Downtown After 5 cost?

Downtown After 5 events are free to the public and feature food and beverages for sale by on-site vendors. A portion of the proceeds from each of these vendors will go to one of the 15 United Way nonprofit organizations supported by the event series.

Beginning this year, Downtown After 5 will also feature a marketplace for attendees to explore and shop, featuring handmade crafts from local makers.

• On-street metered parking is free after 6pm Monday-Saturday, free on Sundays

Organizers also reminded attendees to read any signage and pay fees to avoid fines or towing if parking in a private lot.
