Barbie The Movie: In Concert™ Brings North American Summer Tour Led By Macy Schmidt And The Barbie Land Sinfonietta To Pine Knob Music Theatre Saturday, August 10

(DETROIT – March 4, 2024) – Live Nation and Mattel, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAT) announced Barbie The Movie: In Concert™, a live-to-film concert experience produced by Overture Global Entertainment that will bring Warner Bros. Pictures’ feature film Barbie – Mattel Film’s first theatrical production – to life with live music from The Barbie Land Sinfonietta, a special presentation from Orchestrator and Executive Producer Macy Schmidt’s all-women and majority women-of-color orchestra. Barbie The Movie: In Concert™ will appear at Pine Knob Music Theatre on Saturday, August 10 at 8 p.m. Pine Knob Music Theatre is presented by Proud Partners United Wholesale Mortgage, Trinity Health and Ally.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m. at 313Presents.com , LiveNation.com and Ticketmaster.com . Kicking off July 2 and traveling to 37 cities including the previously announced July 27 date at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, fans across North America will have the opportunity to be transported to Barbie Land this summer and experience Barbie like never before. The record-smashing film will be projected onto a giant LED screen above The Barbie Land Sinfonietta as they perform the film’s award-winning score. Fans of all ages can celebrate the music of 2023's highest-grossing film in a one-of-a-kind immersive experience, with the tour also featuring specialty limited-edition merchandise, photo opportunities, and more.

The Barbie Land Sinfonietta is conducted by Tony Award winning producer Macy Schmidt. A Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, Schmidt recently became the first woman of color orchestrator in Broadway history.

Barbie The Movie In Concert is hitting the road this summer!

Venues across the nation will be transformed into Barbie Land as guests experience Barbie the Movie like never before! The full-length feature film will be accompanied live by the Barbie Land Sinfonietta, a musically renowned, all-women, majority women-of-color orchestra conducted by Macy Schmidt .

About Barbie

Barbie is a 2023 fantasy comedy film directed by  Greta Gerwig  from a screenplay she wrote with  Noah Baumbach . Based on the eponymous fashion dolls by Mattel, it is the first live-action Barbie film after numerous computer-animated films and specials.

The film stars  Margot Robbie  as the title character and  Ryan Gosling  as Ken, and follows them on a journey of self-discovery through both Barbieland and the real world following an existential crisis. It is also a commentary regarding patriarchy and the effects of feminism. The supporting cast includes  America Ferrera ,  Michael Cera ,  Kate McKinnon ,  Issa Rae ,  Rhea Perlman  and  Will Ferrell .

Barbie premiered at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on July 9, 2023, and was released in the United States on July 21. The film has grossed $1.446 billion and achieved several milestones, including the highest-grossing film of 2023 and the 14th highest-grossing film of all time.

 Named one of the top 10 films of 2023 by the National Board of Review and the American Film Institute, it received critical acclaim and other accolades, including eight Academy Awardnominations (including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor for Gosling, and Best Supporting Actress for Ferrera) and won two Golden Globe Awards (Cinematic and Box Office Achievement and Best Original Song for "What Was I Made For?").

Barbie is coming to the Bowl.

“Barbie The Movie: In Concert” has been added to the Hollywood Bowl lineup slated for July 27, and features a live-to-film music experience from The Barbie Land Sinfonietta, a special presentation from executive producer and orchestrator Macy Schmidt’s all-women and majority women-of-color orchestra.

Schmidt, a Tony Award-winning producer, recently became the first woman of color orchestrator in Broadway history.

'Barbie' movie party continues with amphitheater concert tour coming to Houston

HOUSTON, Texas -- "Barbie" was the highest-grossing movie of 2023, and Mattel is looking to capitalize on that popularity with Barbie The Movie: In Concert , a live-to-film concert experience tour that will include a stop at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands on Friday, Aug. 2.

The tour will start in Tampa, Florida, traveling to 37 cities before wrapping up on Aug. 18 in Wantagh, New York. Two Texas cities made the cut on the tour; in addition to Houston, it will also go to Dallas on Aug. 3.

Our experience was amazing! Everything was organized and run efficiently, plus the staff was super friendly. My daughter and I had the most fun time, we could have stayed all day!

Absolutely an amazing experience! I grew up with Barbie and this was a dream come true! There are many rooms and you get to see Barbie’s dream house, a lab, a museum or Barbies, museum of Barbie’s houses, her Camper Van, space shuttle, interactive rooms etc.

Just awesome, my daughter's loved it, a lot of photo opportunities here. A must see if you're a Barbie fan or collector.

Me and my 7 year old girl are Barbie fans and have tons of Barbie toys and this was like a dream come true. It was a beautiful set up and very nicely managed. We also did the build your own barbie activity at the end. My daughter said to me she would never forget

Longtime music collaborators and pop icon pioneers Troye Sivan and Charli XCX are teaming up once again for their highly anticipated 2024 co-headline arena tour, Charli XCX & Troye Sivan present: Sweat with special guest Shygirl, to turn iconic US and Canadian venues into raves . British avant-pop and electronic sensation Charli XCX, fresh off the announcement of her sold-out “BRAT 2024 – ARENA TOUR” shows in the UK, is gearing up for the release of her highly anticipated sixth solo album , ‘BRAT’ . ABOUT CHARLI XCX

Avant-pop and electronic superstar Charli XCX has become an iconic figure in the arts, having helped expand the landscape of popular music over the last decade by seamlessly traversing the underground and mainstream with her artistic output.
