IS IT MANDATORY TO LEAVE BANGALORE EARLY IN THE MORNING FOR COORG TOUR?

No. Though our drivers are ready for duty after 6.00 AM in the morning, the guests can decide what time they want to get picked-up. Do note that if the guests decide to get picked up later than 1.00 PM, then the first day’s sightseeing spots will not be able to be covered. The driver will cover the same on the last day.

DO THE GUESTS HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF DRIVER’S ALLOWANCE AND FOOD ON COORG TOUR?

No. The guests do not have to pay anything extra to the driver while on the Coorg trip. Our drivers have been provided their daily allowance by the company for their food and accommodation. Nor will they ever ask the guest any money while they are on the trip.

Yes. During the Coorg tour, whether the guests want to stop at any restaurant on the way or  to access washroom, they can request the driver and he will do the needful. Please do note that once the guests have entered “Bangalore – Mysore Highway”, which is barricaded for a long stretch by the highway authorities, access to restaurants or washrooms are limited or non-existent. If there is any medical condition, that entails the need for the guests for frequent washroom breaks, then they may please inform the same to the driver before the start of the journey and he will change the route accordingly.

HOW MUCH TIME IS ALLOCATED TO THE GUESTS TO SPEND AT THE TOURIST SPOTS IN COORG?

During the Coorg tour, the guests can spend as much time they want at any tourist spot. The driver will patiently wait at the parking spot.

Yes. If you want to shop in Coorg, you can let the driver know and he will guide you where you can shop. Most of the shops are located in Madikeri Town. When the guests visit Madikeri Town, they can indulge in shopping, the driver will take the guests to the shops of their choice.

If guests are arriving from Chennai or Hyderabad by train for their Coorg tour and would like the driver to pick them up early morning at 5.00 or 6.00 from the railway station, then it is possible. After picking up the guests in early morning, the driver can take the guests to a nearby hotel or lodge to freshen-up for few hours. The hotel rooms are provided on temporary basis for 2 to 3 hours to stay and freshen-up. And will cost around 500 to 700 Rs. Payable directly at the hotel. Once the guests have made the booking online, the driver will provide them a courtesy call, at that time, they can inform the driver, to pick them up from Mysore.

At a distance of 265 km from Bangalore, 117 km from Mysore, 132 km from Mangalore, 322 km from Coimbatore & 362 km from Kochi, Coorg or Kodagu is a district in Karnataka and Madikeri is the district headquarters. Coorg is one of the top places to visit in Karnataka , and among the must include places in honeymoon tour packages . At an altitude of 1525 meters on the Western Ghats, Coorg is often called the Scotland of India. Talacauvery, Abbey Falls and Dubare are some of the best places to visit as part of Coorg Tour Packages . Misty hills, lush forest, tea and coffee plantation, orange groves, undulating streets, and breathtaking views have made Coorg an unforgettable holiday destination. On arrival at Mangalore airport/railway station, get a warm welcome by our tour representative who will guide you about the entire tour and drive you from Mangalore to Coorg, which is about three and half hour journey. On reaching Coorg in the evening, we will check in at the hotel and rest for a while. Afterwards, we will gather in hotel's in-built resultant to enjoy mouth-watering dinner along with a relaxing overnight stay.

In the morning after breakfast, we will leave for the local sightseeing tour of Coorg. We will start our day tour by paying a visit to the holy Omkareshwar temple located at Talacauvery. After exploring the beauty of this ancient temple, enjoy delicious lunch. Thereafter, get yourself away from the hustle and bustle of the city right in the lap of the nature at the stunning Abbey's fall and Raja's seat. Later in the evening, return back to the hotel for a stress bursting overnight stay.

Omkareshwar temple was built by Lingarajendra II in Madikeri in 1820. The temple is designed in the Mumammadan style of architecture and is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Abbey Fall is about 9 kms away from the town of Madikeri in Coorg. Located amidst of lush spread of coffee plantation, it is counted among one of the most beautiful water falls in Karnataka state of India.

After breakfast in the morning, we will proceed to visit the Golden temple nestled near Kushalnagar in the region of Coorg. It is one of the biggest Tibetan monasteries of India and allows visitors to learn in depth about Tibetan religion and culture. After exploring the astonishing temple, return back to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Coorg - Mangalore

Departure by Kurla-Mangalore superfast 12619 DN Matsyagandha Exp. from Kurla Terminus at 15:20 hrs for Mulki. You can board this train from Thane at 15:42 hrs or Panvel at 16:22 hrs. Kindly check railway timings, since they often change.

Mulki - Mudbhidri
