Side-by-side ATV’s are especially fun because you share the experience with a friend sitting next to you as you conquer turns, ascend hills, and explore Coral Crater. If you’re lucky, there will be some muddy puddles to splash through so don’t wear your best outfit!

Our ATV’s are two seaters meaning they fit two people in each vehicle.  Each participant over 18 and with a driver's license drives for half a tour then you have the option to switch seats and lets another person drive. If you have a passenger (those under 18 or without a drivers license) with you then you drive the full tour.

Want to drive your own ATV? You have the option of driving your own vehicle with no other passengers! This option guarantees that you in your own vehicle for the entire duration of the tour. (You cannot add any passengers to your vehicle. This ride alone option is only available on this particular tour and not in combination with other tours.)

The minimum age to drive an ATV is 18. You also must have a valid drivers license. NO exceptions. If you’re under 18 or don’t have a drivers license and would like to join this adventure, you can be a passenger during the tour as long as you go with a paid driver.

North Shore Eco Tours - Piglet ATV Adventure

Passengers: 2-6 guests per vehicle — one driver (21+ years) and one to five passengers.

Adventure Level: North Shore Eco Tours' ATV tour, The Piglet ATV Adventure, is a sightseeing excursion designed to show you the land of Oahu. Learn the history and details of the area over an intercom system from the guide driving the ATV in front of you. You will explore native plants, the Waiʻanae mountains, Haleʻiwa Town, and the North Shore coastline. Although this tour is designed for sightseeing, it is still on rugged terrain, so be prepared to bounce around and get a little muddy.

Price: They have two tour options (ATV with 2 adults and ATV with 1 adult and 1 child) with the choice to add additional passengers.

On this tour, the goal is to help you explore the scenery of Oahu, from the peaks and valleys to famous locations, from TV and movies. You will see all of this by traveling through quiet areas on dirt roads where you can gaze at the beautiful trails and streams surrounding you.

North Shore Stables - ATV Adventure

Passengers: Small ATV- 1 guest — one driver (10+ years)

Adventure Level: North Shore Stables is a sightseeing style ATV tour, but sets itself apart because their tours are completely on Sport ATVs. Unlike the other Oahu companies with 4x4 open-air vehicles, Sport ATVs are well-known vehicles for personal use. On this tour, you'll travel through the Waialua countryside, get views of Mount Kaála, Oahu's tallest peak, and stop on a peninsula that is surrounded by the Pacific ocean.

Price: There is a base price for each ATV model. Prices for additional passengers vary depending on the age of the guest.

The Zipline Course

Our signature zipline course features six lines ranging from 300 to 1,000 feet. This zipline features a state-of-the-art braking system, which means you don’t need to control your speed or stop yourself. Once you’ve experienced the excitement of flying through the air, come back to land and cruise on our all-terrain vehicles.

The ATV Course

We have a technical course coupled with some smoother runs to be enjoyed on our ATVs (Double Occupancy). Learn some basic off-road techniques from our skilled guides and have a blast navigating our technical course. Things can get a little muddy sometimes, so dress comfortably and don’t be afraid to get dirty.

Important Notes:

• You will be in a two-seater ATV which means you share the ATV with another person. If you both over 18 with a driver's license you will both have the opportunity to drive half the tour.
• You will not have an ATV to yourself. This is not an option on this tour. If you want to have an ATV all to yourself, you will need to sign up for the ATV tour a la carte. 
• Participants must be a minimum of six years old and weigh between 40 lbs. – 275 lbs. All participants will be weighed in, fully clothed, during the check-in process before each tour. Those unable to meet the requirement will not be permitted to participate and will not be offered a refund or rescheduled.
• A $100/driver hold is put on credit cards at check-in and returned when the tour is over if there are no damages. Drivers are responsible for damages or injuries so please drive carefully.
• Each passenger must have a paid driver with them in their group. For example, kids cannot sign up for this tour by themselves. Anyone under 18 or without a driver's license can go as passengers but will need an adult paid driver with them.

Know before you book:

• You'll want to dress comfortably for this adventure!
• Participants must be 18 years old to drive an ATV and provide a valid driver's license.
• You will get dirty! Wear clothing that can get messy and leave the valuables behind
• All guests must wear closed-toed shoes. No Chacos or Five Finger shoes.
• Long hair should be pulled back, and loose jewelry or clothing should be avoided or tucked away.
• There is no smoking on the tour.

• Sunscreen and sunglasses.
• Jacket for rain or warmth.
• Don't forget your camera.
• Long pants and closed-toed shoes.

Description

Explore Coral Crater by driving an off-road ATV!!! This tour is guided through the jungle behind a professional driver in a lead vehicle. A specially-designed technical course awaits you, where our expert guides teach you some basic off-road techniques. Once you receive some pointers and go over the safety briefing, you'll be ready to navigate our technical course.

Side-by-side ATV's are especially fun because you share the experience with a friend sitting next to you as you conquer turns, ascend hills, and explore the jungles of Coral Crater. If you're lucky, there will be some muddy puddles to splash through so don't wear your best outfit if has been raining! Even if it hasn't rained you will get very very dirty and dusty so be prepared!

The minimum age to drive an ATV is 18. You also must have a valid drivers license. NO exceptions. If you're under 18 or don't have a drivers license and would like to join this adventure, you can be a passenger during the tour as long as you go with a paid driver.

Three side-by-side ATV's are available per timeslot with the maximum number of participants of 6 per timeslot. Larger parties will need to be accommodated at consecutive times. Each vehicle holds a driver and a passenger, and if both are qualified to drive they may switch places halfway through the experience so that each person gets a chance to drive. Single drivers may also be accommodated, but they pay the same rate as a vehicle with both a driver and a passenger.

Event duration is one hour, including a few minutes at the beginning for driver orientation and safety breifing, with about 50 minutes of actual ATV driving time. Drivers negotiate the Coral Crater ATV course, which features a variety of terrain for fun and adventurous ATV driving. Please note that drivers are solely responsible for the safety of themselves and their passenger. Careless or reckless driving CAN result in hitting a tree or other obstacle, or flipping the vehicle. All participants must sign a waiver of liability that recognizes the dangers of driving a motor vehicle in this environment.

Schedule: Daily at 9am, 11am, 3pm, and 4pm

Restrictions: Minimum age is 6 years old to ride as a passenger. Minimum driver age is 18 and must posses a valid driver's license and be responsible for damage done to the vehicle. Maximum weight per participant is 275 pounds. Recommended maximum height is 6'4" ... anyone taller than that will likely be uncomfortable in the vehicle. All participants must sign a waiver of liability.

What to Bring and Wear: Participants must wear a face mask, neck gaiter, or scarf that completely covers their nose and mouth to protect from dirt and dust. Masks are available for purchase if you do not bring one. All participants must wear closed-toed shoes and it is highly recommended to wear old clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. A change of clothes, towel, and wet wipes are also advised for cleaning up after the tour.

Reservations: Advanced reservations required ... for those who are planning ahead this event is "RESERVE NOW PAY LATER"; we need a credit card on file to finalize your reservation but we do not charge you for this event until a few days before the beginning of your vacation!

Minimum Notice for Cancellations / Changes: At least 48 hours before the start of the event.

Coral Crater Adventure Park is located on the drier leeward side of West Oahu ... approximately a 50 minute drive from downtown Honolulu and Waikiki. The event on this page does not offer transportation, so you really need a rental car to get to the checkin for this activity. Of course it is also possible to take a cab or Uber, but a one hour drive each way is not cheap. A third option exists ... reliable bus service is available for an afforable price, but with the connection it takes about two hours to get from Waikiki to Kapolei. There is a bus stop just one block away from Coral Crater.

The ATV rides here are VERY different than the ATV Raptor tour at Kualoa Ranch. The ride there is through the scenic valley where many movies have been filmed, but the ATV riding itself is on a smooth gravel road that almost feels paved, and there is a long line of vehicles moving at a sedate pace through this landscape on each tour. Here at Coral Crater the focus is more on the ATV driving itself. Like all other ATV tours in Hawaii there is still a guide that leads the guests around the course, but the emphasis is more on the fun of the terrain and the ATV driving than it is on the scenery. There are more bumps, twists, turns, hills, and mud and dust ... all things that people associate with a fun ATV ride.

We had a couple of hours to fill before dinner reservations in Waikiki, so I convinced my partner to do the tour, since it was only 1 hour and we could get back in time for dinner. They had a shower on site which was ver ... y helpful lol. There are no sides on these ATVs so there is nothing to protect you from mud and you WILL get really dirty! But it’s worth it, we had sooo much fun. The courses were twisty and had lots of jumps and puddles. We talked about it the whole way home and all through dinner. I love ATV rides, getting dirty and all that so I knew I had to try this place as soon as I saw it. It wasn’t like any other rides I’ve been on though, I’ve never tried a stand-up ATV. What an amazing fun time!!

This is NOT my usual idea of a good time... I was so nervous but the kids just had to go, so I went, despite my fears... but the tour guide, Kimo, was sooo nice, encouraging me without pushing me to do anything I was unc ... omfortable with, saying I had already done the hard part, just by coming here. The kids had a blast (apart from rolling their eyes at their lame dad). By the end I was zipping around and even doing jumps! I didn’t want it to end. No. Outside food and beverages are not permitted, but snacks and drinks are sold within the park.

Is it ok to sit on the sides and watch some activities?

Absolutely. Guests are always welcome to take a break in Coral Crater's shaded picnic area if they don't want to participate. For the adventure tower activities, individuals who don't want to participate may wait in the tower.

What if it’s raining?

Activities at Coral Crater operate regardless of rain. However, cancellations may occur due to other dangerous weather conditions such as high wind. In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather, all guests will receive a full refund.

Someone in my group/family does not want to do the tour/is not old enough/has back problems. Is there something for them to do while they wait?

There are other adventures available at Coral Crater Adventure Park, including a ropes course for children 6 and up accompanied by an adult. But if members of your party truly wish to just spectate, they are welcome to do so! There is a grassy picnic area where they are welcome to sit and relax while you get your thrills.

How safe is this tour?

Coral Crater's courses surpass the Association for Challenge Course (ACCT) standards and pre-use inspections on both the safety equipment and course occur daily. Extensive training for the guides is provided by Synergo, a Professional Vendor Member (PVM) of the ACCT. Synergo also completes our periodic course inspections. As with all activities, there are inherent risks associated with off-road ATVs.

What if it rains?

This tour operates rain or shine, so get ready to get wet, especially in the rainy season! In fact, some people prefer a muddy trail to a dusty one. In the case of truly severe weather, we’ll contact you ahead of time and reschedule if possible.

Can I bring my camera/phone?

Of course! How else will your friends back home believe how much fun you had? Keep in mind, though, that whatever tech you bring will likely be moving around a lot, and get splashed, sprayed, and/or dirty, so make sure you have a solid carrying case and a way to keep it on your person, like a strap or a fanny pack.

What if I crash an ATV?

If you drive responsibly, you will not crash an ATV. If you drive recklessly, you will be removed from the tour. If you crash before your guide can remove you from the tour, you will be responsible for all damage to the vehicle and will not be refunded the cost of your tour.

Do you have lockers on site to store stuff?

Yes! All lockers are digital, so no need to carry keys during your activity. The largest locker can fit a large suitcase. Locker payments are taken by credit card only at the kiosk, but if you only have cash, you can rent a locker at the gift shop and the staff will open it for you. Rates start at $5 for two hours of use of the small lockers.

Come out and experience the brand new fleet of side by side ATV’s, and find out why Coral Crater has become the most exciting adventure attraction on the West side of Oahu in recent years.

Your professional driver/guide will lead the tour in a pilot ATV and take you around a customized track through the forested grounds of the crater.  But this is not your ordinary guided tour! Hang on tight as you kick up dirt and pick up some speed as you learn some basic off-road techniques, and then take what you’ve learned to the technical course where you can practice your skills.  

These are Side-by-Side ATV’s and the tour is designed to have a point in time where you can switch drivers so you’ll not only get to experience driving these awesome ATV’s, but you’ll also enjoy the thrill of being a passenger!  If you’d like your own ATV for the entire tour, there is a single supplement option available.

Be prepared to get a little dusty and dirty on this trip!  We recommend you bring a face covering like a bandana to keep the dust out of your nose/mouth.  Coral Crater does provide you with goggles.  Things can get muddy after it rains so keep that in mind when you’re picking out your outfit for the day!

The minimum age to DRIVE is 18.  The driver must have a valid US or international Driver’s License.  NO exceptions.  Minimum age to be a passenger is 6 years old.

Know Before You Book

• You'll want to dress comfortably for this adventure!
• Participants must be 18 years old to drive an ATV and provide a valid driver's license.
• You will get dirty! Wear clothing that can get messy and leave the valuables behind
• Clothing restrictions:
• All guests must wear closed-toed shoes. No Chacos or Five Finger shoes.
• Long hair should be pulled back and loose jewelry or clothing should be avoided or tucked away.
• There is no smoking on the tour.
• Remember to Bring:
• Sunscreen and sunglasses.
• Bug repellent. Mosquitoes are not prevalent, but may be in the rain forest.
• Jacket for rain or warmth.
• Don't forget your camera.
• Long pants and closed-toed shoes.
• Guide gratuity is not included and not required, but encouraged.

Maximum weight:  275 lbs per person. NO EXCEPTIONS

Maximum height:  6’4″. Those over this height may be cramped and uncomfortable.

Minimum age: 18 years old to drive NO EXCEPTIONS with valid driver’s license, 6 years old to ride as a passenger.

Maximum capacity per tour:  6 guests total. 2 people per ATV. 3 ATV’s.

People with certain conditions are NOT allowed on the tour:

• Guests who are pregnant
• Those who suffer from medical conditions that may require immediate attention.
• Those with existing or recurring injuries or who have recently had major knee, back, or leg surgeries.
• Anyone under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or anything else that impairs judgement.
• Those with serious mental or physical handicaps or disorders that would interfere with their ability to complete the mental and physical tasks occurring throughout the tour.

We are an outdoor facility so dress for the weather. We operate rain or shine. Please wear closed toed shoes for all activities. We include all the essential gear (helmets, harnesses, etc.) for each activity in the activity cost. Chances of getting dirty on ATV are high so bring a change of clothes, towels and ponchos if you’re heading out to dinner afterwards!

24 Hours notice is required to receive a  FULL REFUND . Groups of 6 or more require 72 hours cancellation for full refund. No-shows and late arrivals are non-refundable. 

Those arriving without closed toed shoes and those who weigh more than the maximum weight limit or less than the minimum weight limit will not be able to participate in activities and are not eligible for a refund.
