Which Australian Cities Will Taylor Swift Visit?

Brace yourselves - one bit of news about Taylor's upcoming Aussie tour isn't the greatest.

In 2023 The Courier Mail reported that "sources" say Taylor will only be performing in Sydney and Melbourne.

The sources revealed that the popstar would be skipping Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide because of "time constraints and travel costs."

And it looks like the news was true!

Missed out on Taylor Swift tickets? Here are your next steps

With two separate presale events now finished and the general sale sold out - it's safe to say many Swifties missed out. And it's nothing to do with you, we promise! Turns out Ticketek's waiting lounge didn't queue fans chronologically.

“Everyone in the Ticketek lounge has an equal opportunity to get into the site regardless of when they have arrived,” Adrian Digiacoma, a representative at Ticketek told PEDESTRIAN.TV.

This explains why some people only waited 20 minutes for tickets, whilst others who jumped on early never got through.

Fortunately for Swifties that missed out, Ticketek has released one last saving grace, with a new batch of partially obstructed side view tickets going on sale from 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 13.

Ticket prices will start at $65.90 for H Reserve and will go up to $379.90 for A Reserve, with a strict limit of four tickets per customer. The resale also includes access to a variety of last-minute VIP packages and hotel and ticket packages, so be sure to join the queue here for your final chance to secure Eras Tour tickets!

If you missed out on the final flash sale, there's still hope! In good news to literally everyone, Ticketek has opened their fan-to-fan resale for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour on Ticketek Marketplace.

The sale, which kicked off at 10 a.m. AEDT on Friday, November 24th, will give Swifties who still haven't got their hands on tickets the opportunity to purchase verified resale tickets from other fans who have purchased their Eras Tour tickets through Ticketek during the prior general sales and now wish to sell their ticket.

You can purchase your Eras Tour resale tickets here.

Do you need to bring a clear bag to the Eras Tour?

As Taylor's Aussie tour dates inch closer and closer, Frontier Touring has announced a few important details to ensure all fans have a great time.

Gates will open at 4:40 pm and there is no reason to arrive earlier since all seating will be allocated. The Show will start at 6:20 pm.

You do not need a clear bag. Just make sure your bag is no larger than A4 in size.

Download your ticket on the Ticketek app and do not bring iPads, GoPros, tripods, selfie sticks or drones.

Friendship bracelets are allowed but must be worn on patrons' arms. Signs must be smaller than 28cm-45cm.

More information can be found here .

Did Taylor release new music ahead of her Eras Tour?

Yes! On March 17, Taylor released four new tracks ahead of the start of her tour. Tay took to Instagram to announce the release of four new singles, including  Eyes Open (Taylor's Version) ,  Safe & Sound (Taylor's Version) ,  If This Was a Movie (Taylor's Version)  and  All Of the Girls You've Loved Before.

Read our full update about her new music - and listen to the tracks! -  here .

During her appearance at the Grammys in February 2024, Taylor surprised everyone, announcing a brand new album titled The Tortured Poets Department, which is set to be released on April 19.

Who is Taylor Swift's support act?

Joining the pop star, at least for the US leg, will be: Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, beabadoobee, Gracie Abrams, GAYLE and OWENN.

Eras will mark Taylor's first tour in five years, following her 2018 Reputation concert. That year's highest-grossing music tour by a female artist saw the Getaway Car songstress joined by Charli XCX, Camila Cabello and more.

In Australia, Taylor will be supported by Sabrina Carpenter.

When was Taylor's last tour?

Taylor was meant to tour again in 2020 with Loverfest , but her plans were thwarted by COVID-19.

“This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone’s plans and no one knows what the touring landscape is going to look like in the near future,” she said in 2021.

Since 2018 - and the Reputation  tour - Taylor has built her discography substantially, releasing four new albums and two re-releases.

New music includes the albums:  Lover , Folklore , Evermore and, most recently, Midnights , while the re-releases include Taylor's Versions of the old records   Fearless   and   Red.

The re-releases also included a slew of previously unheard 'From The Vault' tracks, meaning that the 33-year-old has dropped a total of 90 new songs, not including collaborations with HAIM, Big Red Machine, etc.

It’s Not Over! How To Get Taylor Swift Tickets If You Missed Out

Profile picture of Rebecca Mitchell

If you missed out on the final sale of restricted view tickets to see Taylor Swift, there may still be hope for you yet.

New tickets to the MCG in Melbourne went on sale in a snap announcement from Frontier Touring around 3pm on Thursday, the day before the first concert.

They made the announcement just an hour before the ticket sales started. They said the tickets would be released in various price categories in line with production releases. Essentially this means that as the crews set up the stage they’re able to see more places where people could sit, and then sell those tickets.

The announcement provides a final piece of hope for Sydney fans looking to get a last minute Taylor Swift ticket, as the same process may happen again when they set up Accor Stadium. Essentially, keep your Frontier Touring notifications on, especially on February 22 (the day before the first Sydney show).

This late-stage ticketing follows a larger release on February 13 in both Sydney and Melbourne, which sold out within an hour for each city.

However, if the ‘blue line of death’ in the queue for tickets wasn’t kind to you, you can still purchase resale tickets on TMarketplace. Find all the details about the concert and how to get your mitts on tickets below.

If you missed out, we have one message: it’s not over until Taylor Swift sings!

  • Melbourne MCG: Sunday, 18 February 2024

How To Get Taylor Swift Eras Tour Australia Tickets If You Missed Out?

If you missed out in the general sale, the only avenues are the final sale on February 13, or resale. The good news is that ticket prices are capped at a 10 per cent premium, so you hopefully won’t need to pay and arm and a leg if you do manage to secure them second-hand.

When Do Eras Tour Restricted Seats Go On Sale?

As show organisers set up the stadium, they are opening up a final string of seats to allow more Swift fans to attend the concert. These tickets are on sale on February 13, for a reduced price of $65.90, and will include restricted view seats.

They’re on sale at 2pm AEDT in Melbourne and 4pm AEDT in Sydney.

For more information, visit Ticketek here .

How To Buy Official Eras Tour Resale Tickets

Tickets are available from 10am on November 24 at the Ticketek Marketplace ( TMarketplace ).

The marketplace is the only official place to buy and sell Eras Tour tickets. While it is a third-party site to Ticketek, it integrates with the Ticketek app to ensure you get real tickets and aren’t duped by shady resellers.

Anyone that has a Ticketek account and Eras tour tickets can choose to list their tickets. When they’re resold, a new barcode is issued so the original buyer can no longer attend the event.

While there are other sites that are selling tickets second hand, Ticketek warns that any ticket that is not resold through their official platform is at risk of being cancelled and the ticket price refunded to the original seller.

Given that approximately 4 million Australians logged on to get Eras Tour tickets in the original sale, we are sure that this resale will continue to be equal pandemonium, so light your Swiftie candles and pray to the Eras Tour gods (Swift’s cats Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button).

Some further tips regarding illegal re-sales:

  • In most of Australia, scalpers cannot resell Eras Tour tickets for more than 10% of the original sale price. In Victoria, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour was recently declared a ‘major event’ and is therefore covered by laws that prevent scalping 10% profit margin. Selling a ticket for more than 110% of its original price is punishable by fines of up to $109,044 for individuals, and $545,200 for companies,  Daily Mail  reports.
  • In NSW, the government has already pledged it will crack down on Swift ticket scalpers, with price-gougers (those selling for more than 10% over the original sale price) also eligible to be fined $22,000 (individuals) and $110,000 (organisations).

Overall, the message is clear: Don’t buy (or sell!) from any unofficial ticketing sites.

When do Taylor Swift Tickets Go On Sale?

The Eras Tour Ticket resale in Australia will take place on November 24, at 10am.

The final sale of restricted view tickets will take place on Tuesday February 13.

The first pre-sale (AMEX pre-sale) started on June 26. The Frontier Touring pre-sale started on June 28. General sales started on June 30 at 10am and 2pm local time in Sydney and Melbourne respectively.

Will There Be More Taylor Swift Eras Tour Tickets Released?

Additional tickets with obstructed side-views were released on November 10, at the price of $79.90, allowing more Swifties into the stadium for the big day. A second lot were also released on February 13.

Nine Honey   reports that North American obstructed view seats went on sale a handful of days before the event for $200, or extra floor tickets for $49.

Follow Overseas Tour Dates & Sales

Got some annual leave stored and a bit of cash in the bank? There are plenty of international tour dates that you could still snap up, with Taylor popping up all over the world until (at least) August 2024.

Some of the international shows aren’t even that far away.

How Did The Queue Work When Buying Tickets?

As anyone who tried to secure tickets via the Frontier Touring pre-sale will tell you, there’s nothing quite as frustrating as waiting in the Ticketek ‘lounge’, or waiting room.

Prior to this pre-sale, many Swifties believed that fans would be let into the purchasing page in order of when they opened the Ticketek site, leading to eager concert-hopefuls logging on hours or even days before the sale officially began.

However, speaking to  Pedestrian , a representative for Ticketek revealed that the queuing system didn’t necessarily work chronologically.

“Everyone in the Ticketek lounge has an equal opportunity to get into the site regardless of when they have arrived,” the rep said.

He also added that  there’s “no advantage” to logging onto the site hours before tickets go on sale, as the lounge is only opened 10 minutes before this time.

“The randomisation starts once the on-sale commences, so there is no advantage for fans to jump on hours before. We recommend that fans log on 15 minutes earlier just so they are ready once the on-sale kicks off.”

“Once in the lounge and the on-sale has started, the system continuously checks whether there is an available spot for fans to be let in to purchase tickets to the event.”

Charge Your Devices Before Attempting To Buy Tickets

This seems obvious but you just can’t risk it!

Honestly, what could be worse than your laptop or phone conking-out while you’ve got Taylor Swift tickets in the basket?

Connect To WiFi & Data

As competitive ticket-purchasers will know: getting a seat at one of the nation’s most exclusive gigs is a two-device project.

If you’re using a phone and a laptop, use WiFi on the computer and data on your phone. Not only will this use different IP addresses—giving you twice the chance to hit the jackpot—but it could provide a connection back-up, in case something goes awry.

Have Apple Pay And Prefill Data

When you’re competing for those all important tickets and website space is in high demand, it’s integral to checkout as quickly as possible to avoid getting booted out. Save time manually entering your card details (and potentially typing them in wrong) by having prefill data available or even Apple Pay set up.

Are There Ticket Limits For Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour?

There is a limit to the number of tickets you can purchase for Taylor Swift, but it’s quite generous given demand, at 4 per person.

Ticket prices are as follows:

  • A Reserve $379.90
  • B Reserve $309.90
  • C Reserve $239.90
  • D Reserve $199.90

NOT A DRILL: Taylor Swift Has Just Added Two Extra Dates To Her Australian Eras Tour

Tiketek made an announcement for the new tickets on Thursday November 9.

“Due to the demand, additional tickets including partially-obstructed side view tickets will be released with prices starting from $79.90,” it read.

“Limited tickets across all the Australian concert dates will be available from Friday 10 November at 10am for Sydney and 4pm for Melbourne until allocations are exhausted.” HUGE!!!!!!!!!

Previously, the demand for the shows prompted Miss Swift to add TWO more Eras Tour Australia dates to her time Down Under.

The queen giveth, the queen provideth.

Miss Swift added an extra show in Melbourne on February 18, and another in Sydney on February 26.

This makes Taylor the first artist since Madonna in 1993 to perform three shows at the MCG. That’s fkn huge.

Tickets for the extra shows went sale along with the original tickets back in June. While it wasn’t great news for our interstate hotties and pals in Aotearoa, it did give a little more hope to the hoards of people who missed out on pre-sale tickets.

If you missed out on tickets (sad), you can check out what resale sites are (and aren’t) recommended to buy tickets from . According to a Ticketek spokesperson, over four million people across Sydney and Melbourne were trying to snag tickets to see our glittery queen last time.

Now that there are more tickets up for grabs, we wish you good luck, godspeed, and may the odds be ever in your favour.

Ahead, we’ve compiled everything (and we mean everything ) you need to know about Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Australia.

When is Taylor Swift coming to Australia?

Taylor Swift will be performing two Eras Tour gigs in Melbourne and three gigs in Sydney in February 2024.

Taylor Swift Eras Tour Dates:

  • Friday 16 – Melbourne, MCG
  • Saturday 17 – Melbourne, MCG
  • Sunday 18 – Melbounre, MCG
  • Friday 23 – Sydney, Accor Stadium
  • Saturday 24 – Sydney, Accor Stadium
  • Sunday 25 – Sydney, Accor Stadium
  • Monday 26 – Sydney, Accor Stadium

When do Taylor Swift Eras Tour Australian tickets go on sale?

For those who were determined to be the first to get their grimy hands on Eras Tour tix in Australia, there were two pre-sale options. One was the American Express VIP package Pre-Sale which happened on June 26 and only sold VIP two packages — not general admission tickets.

After that, regular pre-sale and VIP tickets were available via Frontier Touring on Wednesday, June 28.

Unsurprisingly, the Frontier Member’s pre-sale was an absolute shit fight with many of us missing out.

General tickets went on sale Friday, June 30.

The new additional tickets will go on sale Friday, November 10. Sydney tickets will become available at 10am while the Melbourne allocation will be available at 4pm. What a time to be alive, my friends! Good luck to all!

What are the Taylor Swift ticket prices for Australia’s Eras Tour?

I hope you’re ready to drain your bank account and sell your firstborn because these bad boys are NOT cheap.

If you’re ready to go all out with A Reserve tickets, you’ll pay $379.90 a pop. But if you’re happy to just vibe along and don’t care where you sit, you could cop G Reserve tickets for $79.90.

Here’s how much tickets cost for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Australia:

How can I get Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets?

Ah yes, that little chestnut. It’s expected to be extremely difficult to get Eras Tour ticket as demand far outweighs ticket availability.

But don’t fret, we’ve put together a guide filled with handy tips on how to make sure you actually get tickets to the Taylor Swift Eras Tour .

While you’re at it, can you make sure you get one for us?

How does the Ticketek queue work for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour?

PEDESTRIAN.TV spoke to a Ticketek representative about exactly how the Ticketek queue works in anticipation of general ticket sales.

Learn how the Ticketek queue works here .

Where’s the best place to sit for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour?

Good question. We’ve compiled an entire guide on the best (and worst) places to sit for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour based on some clever Swifties on TikTok who are really doing god’s work.

What is the Taylor Swift Eras Tour setlist?

The  official set list  includes 44 songs (!!) and the Eras Tour is doing exactly what it promised — taking Swifties on a journey through all the musical eras of Taylor Swift.

The Eras Tour is the first tour for the pop star in five years, and she’s performing hit after hit for the duration of the show.

Warning: spoilers ahead.

Eras Tour Setlist:

  • Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince”
  • “Cruel Summer”
  • “You Need to Calm Down”
  • “The Archer”
  • “You Belong With Me”
  • “Love Story”
  • ” ‘Tis the Damn Season”
  • “Champagne Problems”
  • “Tolerate It”
  • “Ready For It?”
  • “Don’t Blame Me”
  • “Look What You Made Me Do”
  • “Enchanted”
  • “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”
  • “I Knew You Were Trouble”
  • “All Too Well (10-Minute Version)”
  • “The Last Great American Dynasty”
  • “Illicit Affairs”
  • “My Tears Ricochet”
  • “Blank Space”
  • “Shake it Off”
  • “Wildest Dreams”
  • “Bad Blood”
  • “Mirrorball”
  • “Tim McGraw”
  • “Lavender Haze”
  • “Anti-Hero”
  • “Midnight Rain”
  • “Vigilante Shit”
  • “Bejeweled”
  • “Mastermind”

OG fans will be thrilled to see bops like “Enchanted” and “Fearless” both making the cut for the setlist.

There are tracks off of her fourth studio album Red , including “I Knew You Were Trouble” and the 10-minute (yes,  10-minute ) version of “All Too Well”, so excuse me while I curl up into a ball and sob for the remainder of the day.

“Cruel Summer” also makes an appearance. I’ve never wanted to see someone dancing around on stage in a bedazzled leotard more in my life.

“Lavender Haze”, “Mirrorball” and “Style” are all confirmed for Eras and seriously, Taylor Swift knows what we want and she  gives it to us .

Even “You Belong With Me” got some air time. 12-year-old me is screaming .

Tracks from every single album appear to be making the cut. Why doesn’t every artist structure their live performances like this ?

And while many Aussies have been miffed over not having tour dates until 2024, there is a slight silver lining in that we might be able to see more songs from Speak Now (the best album, IMHO) on the setlist thanks to its re-release in July.

Why has there been so much drama over the location of Taylor Swift’s Australian Eras Tour shows?

Ooooh boy, there’s been a lot of whispers about the location of Taylor Swift’s Australian Eras Tour for months now.

It all kicked off from a Tweet posted in March when the oracular gossip site Deuxmoi hinted that Taylor Swift had already booked the country’s biggest stadium, the MCG, for her tour.

“Dates have been booked for Taylor at the MCG in Melbourne, Aus. So she’s definitely coming to Australia!” the Tweet read.

Shortly after this, an anonymous individual claiming to work for the MCG sent the Shameless podcast a DM claiming TayTay is defs on her way.

“Hush Hush but I work for the MCG and dates have been booked in for Taylor,” they wrote.

Is there any footage of the Taylor Swift Eras Tour?

For the last few months, Australians have been forced to watch footage from the Eras Tour unfold on TikTok, including vids featuring the likes of Hayley Williams ,  Gigi Hadid ,  and  Emma Stone straight-vibing. TBH, it’s had Aussie Swifties begging for a Taylor Swift Australia tour.

The Eras Tour kicked off on March 17 in the US, and based on the footage, it’s everything we wanted and more.

A ‘yuge thank you to all the overseas Swifties for the glorious footage from the Taylor Swift Eras Tour!

This tour is cracking up to be everything I could ever want in a T Swift tour, the song choices, the wardrobe changes, the set . Phenomenal, truly.

Taylor Swift Eras tour general sale starts today. Here's what you need to know to grab your ticket

Taylor swift in a gold body suit singing into a microphone with a male dancer behind her

It's the final countdown, Swifties.

Today is the day that Eras tour tickets go on general sale.

Two more Australian shows were announced yesterday, one in Sydney and one in Melbourne.

Ticketek reported that more than  4 million people tried to buy a limited amount of tickets on Wednesday's pre-sale.

Both the Sydney and Melbourne pre-sale tickets sold out within hours.

Which is to say, a lot of people from all around Australia and possibly overseas are going to be logging onto Ticketek today to try their chances.

Here's what you need to know.

What time do Taylor Swift tickets go on sale?

Tickets to Sydney will go on sale at 10am AEST today .

Melbourne will go on sale at 2pm AEST today .

When are the new Taylor Swift Australian tour dates?

Melbourne — melbourne cricket ground (mcg):.

Friday, February 16

Saturday, February 17

Sunday, February 18 (new)

Sydney — Accor Stadium:

Friday, February 23

Saturday, February 24

Sunday, February 25

Monday, February 26 (new)

What are the seating maps for Taylor Swift's Sydney and Melbourne shows?

Here are both the seating maps for Taylor Swift's Australian Eras tour.

The small strips of light green in Melbourne and yellow in Sydney are the affordable G reserve tickets while most of the stadiums consist of D reserve tickets ($199.99) and above.

How much are Taylor Swift tickets?

There are five tiers of tickets for both Sydney and Melbourne, ranging from $79.90 for G reserve tickets to $379.90 for A reserve tickets.

Each ticketing tier also has a corresponding VIP package that contain a ticket ranging from A reserve to E reserve as well as four prints of the artist, a tote bag, a pin, a tour lanyard and a sticker and postcard set.

These VIP packages scale in price from $349.99 to $1249.90 .

How many Taylor Swift tickets are left?

We're don't know exactly how many tickets are still available.

But we can estimate how many tickets there were to begin with.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics estimated on Tuesday there will be about 450,500 tickets sold — that's only enough for 1.7 per cent of Australia's population.

But considering the two extra shows added and that MCG has a capacity of 100,000 people and the Accor Stadium can hold 83,500 people, it's reasonable to assume that over 600,000 tickets will be sold across all dates.

Is it better to get in the queue early?

You might be ready to go hours before the ticket hub opens but Ticketek says there's no reason to log on early.

That's because their queue isn't applied in chronological order, it's random.

"The randomisation starts once the on-sale commences, so there is no advantage for fans to jump on hours before," a Ticketek spokesperson confirmed to ABC News.

"We recommend that fans log on 15 minutes earlier just so they are ready once the on-sale kicks off."

"Everyone in the Ticketek lounge has as equal opportunity to get into the site regardless of when they have arrived.”

What are Ticketek's tips to getting a Taylor Swift ticket?

On Monday afternoon, Ticketek shared the best way to get a golden ticket.

Here's the advice:

  • Have your Frontier Pre-sale code ready
  • Enter the Ticketek Lounge at least 15 minutes before the sale starts
  • Don't refresh your browser
  • Once you're through, keep an eye on the countdown timer and fill out the details within the time frame.

How many tickets can you buy?

There's a limit of four per customer .

If you want to buy more than four, you have to order with a different Ticketek account as well as a different debit card.

The company says it may cancel tickets for people who are detected as buying more than four with the same email address, billing address, credit card number or other information.

Is there going to be an official Taylor Swift resale?

The official Ticketek resale on their secondary platform Tmarketplace is the only place to get a guaranteed resale ticket .

Ticketek has warned that they will be cancelling and refunding tickets sold on illegitimate third party sites.

The Ticketek Taylor Swift resale will open on Monday September 4 .

Eras already a boom to tourism

Sydneysiders and Melburnians aren't the only ones trying to get their hands on Eras tickets.

A major hotel chain reported a 1129 per cent increase in Sydney bookings after the tour was announced.

The same chain reported a 9400 per cent increase in Melbourne hotel bookings after the tour was announced.

And it's not just hotels that are set for a revenue spike.

Earlier in the month Webjet reported a spike in searches for flights around the Eras tour dates, a 282 per cent increase for Sydney and a 151 per cent increase in Melbourne.

Taylor Swift at the MCG: Eras Tour timings, set list and everything you need to know

Today's the day blondie enters the building! Here are the key facts

Ashleigh Hastings

We’ve counted days, we’ve counted miles, and now many months later, Taylor Swift is playing her first show in Melbourne today. The Eras Tour is such a big deal that transport authorities have even extended the free tram zone , just to help fans get to the stadium.

Ms Swift flew into Melbourne at 1am on Thursday morning and the final touches are being made to the  MCG  setup as we speak, so it’s time for those of us lucky enough to have nabbed tickets to plan the details of our long night out at the stadium.

When is Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Melbourne?

Tay Tay will take to the stage at the MCG for her first Eras Tour concert tonight. She will also perform on February 17 and 18 before heading to Sydney for four shows at Accor Stadium.

What time will Taylor Swift come on stage?

All gates to the MCG will open at 4.30pm, in case you’re reaaaaally keen to get in early to secure some merch. However, every single seat at the Melbourne nights of the Eras Tour is assigned, which means there’s no point rocking up super early to get a spot in the non-existent mosh. Besides, there are several ways to  buy Eras Tour merch before the shows .

The music will kick off at 6.20pm with pop princess Sabrina Carpenter as the opening act. We can’t be 100 per cent sure exactly what time Taylor will come on stage, but all signs point to around 7.30pm or 8pm at the latest.

What can I bring to Taylor Swift Melbourne?

There are specific rules for what you can and can’t bring to the Eras Tour in Melbourne. Here are the main things to remember this weekend:

You can bring:

  • One bag with a maximum of two compartments, smaller than A4 size. It doesn’t need to be clear.
  • Friendship bracelets, but put them in your bag or on your arms.
  • A rain poncho.
  • A portable charger smaller than the size of your phone.
  • Sunscreen, but not the aerosol kind.
  • A sealed, clear, soft plastic water bottle no larger than 600ml.

You can’t bring:

  • Outside food.
  • D-rings or carabiners for friendship bracelets.
  • Signs bigger than 28 x 45cm.
  • Studded jewellery (sorry Rep girlies).
  • Metal or hard plastic containers.

Are there any tickets left?

This won’t come as a shock to anyone, but demand for Taylor Swift tickets has been through the roof (and into the stratosphere, at this point). A  limited number of new Taylor Swift tickets went on sale at 2pm on Tuesday, February 13. Aside from the new tickets, re-sale through Ticketek Marketplace is your best bet – be wary of scams on other platforms!

What’s the full setlist for the Eras Tour?

The Eras Tour has a setlist like no other, spanning a staggering three hours and 44 songs. Since the tour has already been travelling around the world, we mostly know what to expect, save for some nightly ‘surprise songs’. Here’s the Eras Tour setlist for Australia:

  • ‘Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince’
  • ‘Cruel Summer’
  • ‘The Man’
  • ‘You Need to Calm Down’
  • ‘Lover’
  • ‘The Archer’
  • ‘Fearless’
  • ‘You Belong With Me’
  • ‘Love Story’
  • ‘’Tis the Damn Season’
  • ‘Willow’
  • ‘Marjorie’
  • ‘Champagne Problems’
  • ‘Tolerate It’
  • ‘Ready For It?’
  • ‘Delicate’
  • ‘Don’t Blame Me’
  • ‘Look What You Made Me Do’
  • ‘Enchanted’
  • ‘22’
  • ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’
  • ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’
  • ‘All Too Well (10-Minute Version)’
  • ‘The 1’
  • ‘Betty’
  • ‘The Last Great American Dynasty’
  • ‘August’
  • ‘Illicit Affairs’
  • ‘My Tears Ricochet’
  • ‘Cardigan’
  • ‘Style’
  • ‘Blank Space’
  • ‘Shake it Off’
  • ‘Wildest Dreams’
  • ‘Bad Blood’

  • ‘Lavender Haze’

Who will be supporting Taylor in Melbourne? What was the deal with extra tickets?

Singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter will be supporting Taylor on the Aussie leg of the Eras Tour. She's best known for hit songs 'Nonsense', 'Feather' and 'On My Way'. On Tuesday, February 13, a new batch of tickets dropped for the Melbourne shows – as expected, they were snapped up quickly and sold out within hours. The tickets on sale were for seats with partially obscured views.

Swifties, you best be ready.

Ever since Taylor Swift announced last Wednesday that she was bringing her Eras tour to Australia, with five shows in Sydney and Melbourne in late February 2024, group chats around the nation have lit up frantically organising the game plan come ticket day.

And the day has come: Pre-sale tickets for Swift’s Eras tour to Australia commences in less than an hour – 10am at Ticketek for Frontier Touring members – but you knew that already.

On Monday, the first presale tickets for the very expensive VIP packages, available only to American Express customers, crashed the Amex website for about an hour and sold out almost immediately. Plus, remember how Swift’s first tour in five years in the US in March sparked a frenzy so big that it crashed TicketMaster’s website?

There’s no two ways about it: It’s going to get wild out there.

But so you’re as ready as you can be to get your hands on the coveted tickets, here’s everything you need to know – including insider tips to giving yourself the best chance to score tickets.

You must have already signed up as a member of Frontier Touring and received your personalised code.

WHERE TO BUY TAYLOR SWIFT ERAS AUSTRALIA TOUR TICKETS?

Tickets for the Australian tour can only be purchased at Ticketek with a limit of four tickets per customer.

HOW MUCH WILL TAYLOR SWIFT ERAS AUSTRALIA TOUR TICKETS COST?

The tickets will cost between $79.90 (for G Reserve) and $379.90 (for A Reserve), plus the handling charges.

VIP package prices, which include tickets and exclusive merchandise, starts from $349.90 to $1,249.90. For example, the “It’s Been A Long Time Coming Package” costs $1249.90 and comes with an A-Reserve floor seat and “VIP Tour Laminate & Matching Lanyard”.

WHAT ARE THE DATES FOR TAYLOR SWIFT ERAS AUSTRALIA TOUR?

Swift will perform in Melbourne at the MCG on February 16 and 17, and in Sydney at Accor Stadium on February 23, 24 and 25.

She will unfortunately not be playing in Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide or the other states and territories.

Taylor Swift performs during opening night of the Chicago Eras Tour at Soldier Field on June 2. Picture: Shanna Madison/Chicago Tribune/Tribune News Service via Getty Images.

WHAT SONGS WILL TAYLOR SWIFT PERFORM ON THE ERAS AUSTRALIA TOUR?

Swift’s Eras setlist is certainly one for the ages. She performs for a massive three hours with only small breaks for costume changes. The singer performs songs from every single one of her ten albums except her eponymous debut.

The show starts with the Lover album before going through to Fearless , evermore , Reputation , Speak Now , Red , folklore , 1989 and Midnights .

But Swift also surprises fans with two additional songs every night. These surprise songs are performed in between the 1989 and Midnights sets. She only plays each surprise song once so it’s bad luck if your favourite has been played on the tour already. Swift has also revealed she will repeat a song only if she makes a mistake or if it is from her latest album, Midnights .

Swift’s Australian shows will be supported by American singer and actor Sabrina Carpenter.

WHAT ARE THE TOP TIPS FOR GETTING TICKETS FOR TAYLOR SWIFT ERAS AUSTRALIA TOUR?

There is no use sugar-coating it, the demand for tickets is going to far outstrip the number of tickets. So to ensure you have as smooth a checkout as possible, we spoke to Ticketek to get their best tips.

“It’s never too soon to start preparing and these simple steps will ensure you’re prepared when tickets go on sale,” says a Ticketek spokesperson.

They advise:

•Double check your Ticketek account and payment details are up to date. Have your login details handy as you’ll need them to complete your purchase.

•If you are a Frontier Member, save your pre-sale code. This will be sent to you by Frontier Touring and will be needed to access the Frontier Pre-sale.

•Gather your fellow fans and plan your purchase by agreeing on the performance date, ticket price category and any packages you want to purchase.

For when the tickets go on sale, Ticketek shared the following tips for the best chance of getting through to purchase your tickets.

•Visit Ticketek at least 15 minutes prior to tickets going on sale. Follow the designated link for your desired city to be taken to the Ticketek Lounge .

•Please don’t leave the Lounge page or refresh your browser. The page will refresh itself frequently to let more fans through to purchase. Once you’re in the Lounge, sit tight and wait to be let through to the event page.

•Once you’re through, keep an eye on the timer and complete your purchase within the time frame.

Taylor Swift performs onstage during Taylor Swift The 1989 World Tour Live In Los Angeles at Staples Center on August 25, 2015. Picture: Christopher Polk/TAS/Getty Images for TAS.

According to Twitter user @marieeldrid , who “fought in the Battle of Ticketmaster in November 2022 for the Eras Tour” in the US, these are her tips to getting tickets.

•Make sure your Ticketmaster (or Ticketek in our case) account is complete with all your info before the sale. Add your card details in advance, ideally more than one card. Set up a PayPal just in case (my card payment didn’t work, so PayPal saved me).

•When tickets go on sale, DO NOT open the page on multiple devices or windows. For the USA presale, we could only use one device and one page. If you wanna do multiple, you need multiple accounts with different emails.

•Decide in advance what’s the most you’re willing to pay. Make sure you have that sum on your account, as the prices and extra fees might be more than you expect. When I got through the queue, I had to choose between $800 VIP seats and nosebleeds, which were still overpriced.

•Make sure you’re online and logged in 5-10 minutes before the sale starts. You CANNOT be late, or else you’ll be in the end of a queue with tens of thousands of people. You need to get in as early as possible.

•The queue – I had to wait over 2 hours. The website might crash, too. Try not to refresh the page if you can and make sure your internet connection is stable that day.

•The goal is to see an actual number in the queue and not “2000+ people” ahead of you. Fun fact: if you pull up the page code, you can see the competition. I was behind 15.000+ ppl. But once you see an actual number, you’ll be on the ticket page in a few minutes.

•Once you get to the sale page, you have to be FAST! No time to think, just grab the first tickets you can afford and run to the check out. Getting your hands on the tickets for the popular dates from resellers will be hard, so you really want to succeed during the official sale!

Good luck, Swifties! See you in the queue.

Was the travel worth it? Beyoncé and Taylor Swift's summer concerts drew fans from afar

To determine the most affordable Eras Tour stops, Islands.com researchers compared the cost of a two-night trip, including one cheap ticket on StubHub.com, two nights at a four-star hotel, six inexpensive meals, two five-mile taxi rides, and one domestic beer. However, researchers didn’t account for airline tickets or concert merchandise.

With safety at the top of travelers' minds, the researchers also factored in the city’s safety rating out of 100.

What Taylor Swift's new album means for her $1 billion fortune

  • Taylor Swift's new album, " The Tortured Poets Department ," is almost guaranteed to be a bestseller.
  • But no matter how well it does, it won't be the way Swift earns most of her money this year.
  • The remaining leg of her Eras Tour is expected to add much more to Swift's billion-dollar fortune.

Insider Today

Taylor Swift released her new album, " The Tortured Poets Department ," at midnight, and, in what should be no surprise to anyone on this planet in the year 2024, it caused a scene.

Her album garnered millions of streams within hours. There's almost no doubt it'll top the Billboard chart like the 13 Swift albums before it.

But no matter how many platinum certifications it collects or streams it racks up on Spotify, "The Tortured Poets Department" won't be Swift's biggest money-maker this year.

The remaining leg of her Eras Tour — kicking off in Paris next month and running through December — is instead expected to be what contributes most to her fortune, which Bloomberg estimated to be $1.1 billion last year.

"Live music is the engine of the global music business," Clayton Durant, an adjunct professor at NYU Steinhardt's Music Business Program who's the founder of CAD Management, told Business Insider. "Her tour is probably going to earn 10 to 15 times more than her streaming."

Swift's Eras Tour brought in more than $1 billion in ticket sales last year over its 66 dates. By the end of this year, she's set to have played another 86. Swift's cut is unknown, but based on industry standards, she'll surely earn nine figures in 2024 from ticket sales.

Concerts don't only bring in money from ticket sales.

Pollstar estimates that Swifties spend an average of $40 a head on merch at her concerts — that adds up to about $175 million in gross merch sales last year. Swift's camp keeps the majority of that.

Bloomberg estimated that between box office and merchandise, Swift pocketed $225 million, pre-tax, from her first 57 Eras Tour dates. Career earnings from ticket sales and merchandise account for 34% of her total net worth, while earnings from music streaming and sales account for 18%, Bloomberg estimates.

Swift isn't alone in making money on the road.

In 2021, the last year Billboard made a list of music's top earners, seven out of the 10 top money makers earned more than half of their income from touring.

But the music industry didn't always function this way. Before the advent of streaming, musicians made most of their fortune selling CDs, cassette tapes, and vinyl records .

"Physical music sales made up the bulk of artists' revenue pre-streaming, and that revenue was what enabled artists to tour. These days, the equation has flipped," Tatiana Cirisano, a senior music-industry analyst at MIDiA, told BI over email.

Streaming made listening to recorded music much cheaper. For less than the price of one CD — or for free, illegally or with ads — people could get all the songs they wanted.

"The moment Napster hit, it changed the paradigm, and it really honestly diluted the value of music," Durant said.

To be sure, Swift is still making tens of millions, if not more, on streaming and record sales each year — more than almost any other artist on the planet.

Streaming services such as Spotify pay out artists on a pro-rata model: There's a pot, made up of subscription and ad revenue, paid out to artists each year. Those with the biggest share of the platform's total streams get the biggest piece of it.

But "if you're an individual artist, you have to have a pretty massive audience to be able to earn a meaningful share of that revenue — which is paid out to you after your label gets its cut," Cirisano said.

Last year, Swift was the most streamed artist on both Apple and Spotify. One of every 78 songs streamed in the US last year was a Swift song, according to the music-data firm Luminate. She'll probably rank at or near the top again, between " The Tortured Poets Department " and a streaming lift from the second leg of her Eras Tour.

Swift is also set to earn more than most artists from physical music sales. Last year, she was responsible for one out of every 15 vinyl records sold, according to Luminate. Cirisano said Swift's rabid followers saw physical records as "a symbol of fandom" and a way to support Swift.

That said, without Eras, Swift would just be a poor centimillionaire.

'Taylor Swift' bills would crack down on bot ticket purchases, inflated resale prices

eras tour australia price

Lansing — Michigan lawmakers on Wednesday introduced bills to crack down on the use of automated software programs snarling concert ticket sales and driving up prices for big name performers.

The legislation is similar to the so-called “Taylor Swift” laws recently passed in Arizona after tickets were gobbled up for Swift's Eras concert tour by automated bots that later resold the tickets for higher prices.

While there are laws at the federal level preventing the practice, they are rarely enforced, said GOP state Rep. Graham Filler, who sponsored the legislation with Rep. Mike McFall, D-Hazel Park.

“I’m trying to make Michigan a really unattractive state for these bots to do business,” Filler said. “It’s unfair to people, it’s anti-competitive, anti-capitalist, it’s anti-consumer.”

It's not clear that Michigan concerts have been plagued by the same problems seen in Arizona, but Filler and McFall said they want to take a proactive approach to prevent against a similar event.

The Event Online Ticket Sales Act would prohibit an automated software application from creating multiple IP addresses, email addresses or accounts to buy up tickets for an event that exceed the posted ticket limit. The entertainment events protected by the act include theater performances, concerts, exhibitions or sporting events that are open to the public.

The legislation also would prevent individuals from using software to disable a ticket seller's security measure or circumvent a waiting period, electronic queue or other sales volume limitation programs.

Violations of the act would be investigated by the attorney general and would be punishable by a civil fine of up to $5,000 per ticket. The attorney general also could seek to recover restitution.

“Michiganders are tired of these scalping bots who purchase and hoard tickets for resale, often pricing them out of reach for many hardworking families,” McFall said in a statement Wednesday.

The introduction of the legislation comes more than three years after the Michigan Legislature voted to repeal a 1931 ban on ticket scalping.

The 2020 law — passed after roughly six years of debate — repealed a state ban that was rarely enforced and left the door open to bad actor ticket scalpers who never had a ticket in the first place.

The repeal allowed individuals and businesses to scalp tickets so long as the businesses’ names and websites did not resemble the venue or event for which the tickets are sold. Ticket sellers, under the 2020 law, must have the ticket in their possession at the time of sale or inform the purchaser if he or she does not have the ticket 48 hours ahead of the event.

The legislation at that time prohibited the practice of using “ticketing bot” software, making it subject to a 93-day misdemeanor and/or $1,000 fine.

The legislation introduced Wednesday differs because it allows the attorney general to bring a civil action, not a criminal one, with a higher fine of $5,000 per ticket.

Taylor Swift shocker: New album, "The Tortured Poets Department," is actually a double album

By Alex Sundby , Brian Dakss

Updated on: April 19, 2024 / 10:28 PM EDT / CBS News

Anticipation was growing at a fever pitch before Taylor Swift's latest album, " The Tortured Poets Department ," dropped at midnight EDT. But the pop superstar had a huge surprise on tap: It's actually a double album.

When Part One dropped, Swift wrote on Instagram , "All's fair in love and poetry... New album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. Out now 🤍"

Then came the shocker, revealed in an Instagram post saying , "It's a 2am surprise: The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album. ✌️ I'd written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here's the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn't mine anymore… it's all yours. 🤍."

What's Taylor Swift's new album about?

Swift described the album as "new works that reflect events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time — one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure."

She also said that time has been "closed and boarded up. There is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle once wounds have healed. And upon further reflection, a good number of them turned out to be self-inflicted."

"Entertainment Tonight" correspondent Denny Directo called the record some of her most vulnerable work.

"Fans were left with more questions than there were answers, so good luck trying to decipher who these songs are about, what they mean," Directo told CBS News. "… I feel like there's more heartbreak songs on this than there are love songs."

Hours ahead of the record's release, Swift said on social media that its first single was "Fortnight," featuring Post Malone, and its music video was released Friday night .

Swift praised the Grammy-nominated artist's musical experimentation and melodies "that just stick in your head forever."

"I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on Fortnight," Swift said in her post .

"Fortnight" isn't the only track on the album on which Swift worked with another artist. Florence and The Machine is also featured.

What's on "The Tortured Poets Department" tracklist?

Swift posted an initial tracklist to social media in February one day after she announced the album at  the Grammys , where she won for best pop vocal album. Here's the list of all 31 songs:

  • "Fortnight"
  • "The Tortured Poets Department"

Fans theorize that Taylor Swift is changing her Eras Tour setlist to include songs from her new album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

Swift shared a black-and-white video collage of her practicing for the upcoming leg of her tour and added her new single, “Fortnight,” in the background to YouTube Shorts on Thursday.

The Grammy winner, 34, included several snippets of her wearing different athleisure outfits while holding a microphone, singing and dancing on different parts of the stage.

The “Cruel Summer” songstress even featured a snap of her playing her acoustic guitar and sitting at her signature mossy piano.

However, some eagle-eyed fans noticed a few differences in some of the clips from what she’s done in her past shows –– such as her background dancers wearing black top hats and canes.

Swift also appeared to be leaning on a silver pole that seemed to have a white “TTPD” sign hanging on the side of it. Fans additionally pointed out her white guitar and matching microphone.

Swift has not released the setlist for her upcoming shows and she did not share the setlist before she kicked off the tour in Arizona in March 2023.

The “Shake it Off” songstress previously sang 44 songs on every show and swapped out two songs each concert that were acoustic “surprise songs” not included in the same setlist.

After Paris, Swift will hit several European countries, including Sweden, Spain and Portugal, before wrapping up in London in August.
