Special thanks to Mr Ali for Umrah package
Salam. I would like thanks to Mr Ali who manage all our packages and deal with very very professional. It’s a private family umrah package with full accommodation and a car to pickup and drive all the way in Makkah and Madina and then Airport drop. My Cusion recommended me to contact with Islamic umrah Service and luckily I found Mr Ali who did extras look after and make our package in our budget. Hotels in Makkah and Madina were just 5 Minuts walk. Mr Ali did all the paper work and always help to do very very quick response on What’s app and call back soon. I would strongly recommend to all who thinking to perform Umrah and first time specially, don’t take any stress just call Islamic Travel ( and I recommend find Mr Ali ) and relax and enjoy your trip. God bless you all the staff and good people around. Muhammad Talha

Wonderful Umrah trip and 100% recommend Humza’s service at Islamic Travel.
Alhamdulillah I have successfully completed my umrah trip with my family this January, and Humza at Islamic Travel had been a huge help throughout. He was very friendly, attentive, and provided fast responses. A major example of this was when I arrived at my hotel in Makkah at 3AM and the staff was having issues finding my booking. I called Humza and he immediately picked up and resolved the problem efficiently. If I didn’t receive his assistance, I would have been stuck in the hotel lobby with my family until Islamic Travel’s business hours opened. We really appreciated and were grateful for Humza’s dedication to help us. Aside from this, everything was organised well in terms of flights, hotels, transport, etc. and we had a pleasant experience in Saudi overall. Humza was also committed to meeting our requests and was able to book the specific hotels we wanted. We are very happy with Humza’s service and have recommended the company and him to our friends and family. InshaAllah we will book with Islamic Travel for our future Saudi trips and hope to work with Humza again.

Exceptional Umrah Experience with Agent Ali I recently had the pleasure of undertaking an Umrah trip that was meticulously arranged by Agent Ali
I recently had the pleasure of undertaking an Umrah trip that was meticulously arranged by Agent Ali. From the moment we started planning to the completion of our spiritual journey, Ali's professionalism, dedication, and attention to detail were truly commendable. Ali took the time to understand our needs and preferences, and tailored a package that was not only affordable but also rich in experience. The accommodation arrangements were excellent, with close proximity to the Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi. The transportation was seamless. What stood out the most was Ali's personal touch. He was always available to answer our queries and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. His knowledge and guidance greatly enhanced our Umrah experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Agent Ali for anyone planning their Umrah trip. His commitment to providing a memorable spiritual journey is unparalleled. Thank you, Ali, for making our Umrah a journey of a lifetime.

Excellent service from Ali from Islamic Travel
Ali from Islamic Travel went above and beyond from the moment I contacted them regarding my Umrah booking. He was fantastic and nothing was too much effort when he was looking for the most suitable package for my family. I travelled with two young children so a good location near the Haram and the right flight times was a must and Ali delivered; I was able to pick the hotels I wanted and he made several changes for the flights until I was completely satisfied. iA I will be using again and have already recommended to family and friends who plan to use Islamic Travel and Ali in particular for their upcoming Umrah. In addition, he was contactable throughout my whole trip and arranged the guide for the umrah itself and tours. If I ever had difficulties contacting the transport companies, Ali was always on hand so I would highly recommend! Thank you once again, Ali.

Just spent 10 days in Saudi Arabia on pilgrimage. Overall was good organised trip. The transport was spot on noor bhai was on call at all times to help with advice or arrange trips. Ali was our agent who put trip together and overall did a good job. Our hotel in makkah was the elaf kinder and in madina was pullman zumzum. Both hotels were very nice but only had issue with elaf kinda which has car access issues. So I would recommend pullman in makkah or the makkah tower which is close to elaf kinda

From DIY pilgrimages to halal restaurant tips: how this travel blogger built a community of Muslim travelers
Jan 21, 2022 • 6 min read
Elena Nikolova (pictured) has spent years building a resource for Muslim travelers who are looking for relevant information and good deals.
Elena Nikolova converted to Islam in 2009. Four years later, she channeled her wanderlust into a new endeavor: helping other Muslims travel the world.
On one of Elena Nikolova’s first trips as a Muslim, she realized travel for her had changed forever. Visiting Bulgaria from the United Kingdom , she saw how her new halal diet was at odds with her pork-heavy, Bulgarian-Greek upbringing. It wasn’t long before Nikolova also noticed she was getting extra checks at the airport and more attention once she landed because of her hijab.
“I realized that whether we wanted it or not, there is prejudice against those who wear a hijab,” Nikolova said. “I realized that kind of puts Muslims off traveling.”
Since she converted to Islam in 2009, Nikolova has worked to make travel more accessible and comfortable for Muslims. A lover of deals, she began to share cheap fares and travel hacks on social media to encourage others in her new community to travel too. As a student in the UK, she often booked the longest layovers possible on her way back home to Greece just so she could explore new places.
An online forum for advocating Muslim travel
Upon the urging of a friend, Nikolova transformed her expertise into the blog Muslim Travel Girl in 2013, with the goal of helping Muslims travel while being confident in their identities and without breaking the bank. Right away, she started receiving questions related to airport security and whether certain countries were welcoming to Muslims. Her readers, mostly based in North America and Europe , were apprehensive. One of Muslim Travel Girl’s most popular videos , for example, is on navigating airports as a hijab-wearing Muslim woman.
Building a comfort zone
“Throughout the past seven years, we've gone through [issues with] the media and Muslims, and the hijab and problems with women traveling,” she said. “The whole point of a Muslim travel blog is to help and encourage those people, to give them the resources to actually find destination information.”
While other resources exist, Nikolova says it was especially hard to find information that spoke directly to the experience of traveling as a Muslim when she started the blog. “Even though travel [for Muslims] in general is not so different, we have some differences, like [needing] places to pray or [specific] food to eat,” she said. “Not every Muslim needs these, but it should be there.”
A recent survey found the availability of halal food and prayer facilities among the most cited faith-based needs of Muslim travelers. Since 9/11, many Muslim travelers say they’ve faced discrimination at airports and on airplanes, ranging from extra security searches and intense questioning by airport staff to unexplainable visa troubles and hostility from fellow passengers.
The 'halal tourism' boom
At the same time, the Muslim-friendly travel market, or “halal tourism” as some call it, has been booming. The industry caters to Muslim travelers looking for destinations that meet their faith-based needs, be it a place to pray, alcohol-free hotels or women-only pools and spas. Before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, it was estimated that by 2026, 230 million Muslim tourists would travel, locally and abroad, up from 98 million in 2010. By that time, Muslim travelers were expected to inject $300 billion into the global economy. With COVID-19, it’s now estimated it will take until 2023 to return to the same levels of Muslim tourists seen in 2019.
Nikolova attributes this increase in Muslim travelers to the global aspirations of younger Muslims, more disposable income and the persuasive power of social media. With more travelers, she says, has also come more blogs on Muslim-friendly travel, more interest from big brands and companies, conferences on the topic, and travel agencies like Halalbooking.com .
From credit card rewards to dinner recommendations
As the demographic makeup of Muslim travelers has changed, so has what Nikolova’s readers want. While initially some of Muslim Travel Girl’s most popular and requested posts were on the practicalities of traveling as a Muslim, she says now that more Muslims are traveling, the interest has shifted to what destinations to visit, insider travel tips and halal food recommendations in those places. One of their most popular topics is advice on DIY Umrah , so travelers can take the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca without using a travel agent or expensive tour package.
Bassam Ansari, who is based in Saudi Arabia , first discovered Muslim Travel Girl in 2013 through a friend. He says he often visits the site for its hotel and flight deals and has saved significant money through the site’s advice, which he finds to be personable and genuine.
“Using her reviews and travel advice I have found the best possible hotel options in quite a few different destinations,” he said. For example, Ansari says he saved 70 percent on the cost of a standard hotel room in Mecca during Ramadan, finding a room for $300 instead of the usual $1,000, because of Nikolova’s advice on how to effectively buy and use hotel reward points.
Small changes that make a big difference
Nikolova, who splits her time between Saudi Arabia and the UK, says Muslim Travel Girl is now one of the largest Muslim-friendly blogs in the West. She works on it full-time and also offers consultancy services to hotels and resorts on how to be more accommodating to Muslim guests. Even simple changes like providing soft drinks, non-alcoholic wine or fresh fruit in a welcome package, instead of wine, which is customary in places like Greece, can make a big difference in making someone feel more comfortable, she says.
“It's important to feel safe when you travel and that your needs as a Muslim traveler are taken care of. This is why I'm passionate about…working with hotels in the industry to provide more facilities and more knowledge for Muslims,” she said. “Every destination should be Muslim friendly.”
Having converted to Islam as an adult, Nikolova says she is able to identify with both non-Muslims and Muslims, and that sense of empathy helped in the initial stages of writing Muslim Travel Girl. She says her expertise hasn’t been questioned because she converted to the religion, instead of being born into it, though she can understand that point of view.
“When you are writing about something that is on a specific inclusivity, whether it's halal travel or whether it is accessibility travel, you have to have a basic understanding and principles in order to be accurate in your writing,” she said. “For me, I'm a Muslim, I'm a travel expert, and I have that knowledge because I've worked and lived that life for the past 10 years.”
Travel opens your mindset
Part of why travel is so important, Nikolova says, is because it can counter misconceptions and prejudice. When she converted to Islam, for instance, her Greek Orthodox parents were not happy about it. But after she and her mother traveled to numerous countries together, including her mother spending a year in Doha, Qatar when Nikolova’s daughter was born, things changed.
“It's one of the reasons why I'm so passionate about traveling and encouraging Muslims to travel, because you open your mindset,” Nikolova said. “Traveling brings us closer. You wouldn't know your neighbor if you didn’t talk to them. It's the same thing with going and exploring a different city; you wouldn't meet locals and talk to them if you didn't visit.”

Irfan was very responsive and attentive to the requests we made for the booking I initiated. He were always available and gave fantastic service.
Helpful and accommodating…
Hamzah was helpful and patient helping me book for family of 4 then altering to add 2 more members. The hotel's were acceptable and pricing fair. Good communication. The team is well staffed so never had to wait long for any replies to messages. Will use Islamic travel again and recommend Hamzah to others. Only thing to note is the ground driver team can be impatient and impolite. I paid extra for an upgraded larger Hiace vehicle but didn't receive that, and the designated drivers sent a random driver to take his place as he himself arrived two hours early, became impatient and left. It's a good thing the department of transport keeps them somewhat in check or things could have gone south really quickly. Drivers don't speak English either so communication could be a problem. Something to be mindful of.

Ibtsaam was fantastic
Ibtsaam was fantastic in booking the umrah for me and my family exactly how I’d asked him to. I had a specific set of criteria in terms of flight times, number of nights in Madinah and Makkah, and which hotels we wanted to stay at, namely dar al taqwa and dar al Tawhid. No other travel agency I enquired with was able to compete with the quote Ibtsaam was able to provide for me for the tailored package. I would happily book with him again.

Brother shahid was a big help
Brother shahid was a big help. He organised everything from flights to rail tickets and promptly sent over documents. He even managed to get our visa sorted in less than a day. He was a great help and we’ll be sure to book with this company and specifically with brother shahid again Jazkallah

No hotel booking found when I reached in Saudi but they took full money
I have been told to provide a wonderful 3 star hotel in mecca but once I reached there the hotel authority said there booking not found in their system. Then I called the agent so many times, they didn't picked up. Such a mean and cheap communication. Man, people are going for religious reason and you are taking advantages of it. Allah will take care of it. You know how much hassle people have to go through when they reach with luggage after long journey when they face this kinda awkward situation. This is such a bad experience I have ever had in my life.

We went with the help of Hamzah
We went with the help of Hamzah, travel agent, during the last 10 days of Ramadan. Alhumdullilah, everything went well.
great service and price
Ibtsaam made the process smooth and easy from start to finish. He offered me various packages at fantastic prices based on my needs and preferences. Any queries or requests I had Ibtsaam was quick to reply with the helpful info. Price wise I looked through many companys and even travel agents who offered price match guarantee could not match the price I was given. Visa, transport, accomodation was all hassle free and sorted and given to me in advance, minimising the stresses.

Stress free umrah experience
We booked a 9 day umrah trip for our family of 6 with Islamic Travel. Our agent Hamza was incredibly helpful with affordable quotes and tailoring our package to our needs. He was available to answer our questions and talk through any concerns we had. When in Makkah and medina, everything ran smoothly and all our travel and hotel bookings were to our expectations, with clear communication all the way. I would recommend Islamic travels to anyone wanting a stress free umrah experience!

Highly recommended
I have traveled with my family using Islamic travel. Recently, I employed them for my family's umrah package. We spent 10 days vacations in Saudi Arabia. After doing the Umrah in Mecca and Madina, we returned safely to the UK. Islamic Travel, as always, provided 10/10 service; agent Ali was outstanding and available around-the-clock both before and during our trip, even after we returned! I will definitely recommend MR Ali and Islamic Travel to my family and friends.

Adventure in Uzbekistan 2022
At the first instance of being introduced to the itinerary I knew this was a trip seldom found anywhere else. I had been researching about Uzbekistan since just before the pandemic and there didn't seem to be any travel provider that matched my aspirations as well as carrying an Islamic/Muslim-friendly theme. That was until I came across HTG which contained everything and more. Soumaya was very accomodating and supportive during the run up to the trip especially as I was going to be travelling solo. All of the technical, logistical and organisational aspects of the trip were managed brilliantly by sister Soumaya and brother Humoyun allowing me to enjoy the trip seamlessly. Saad, UK

Great service provided by Hamza.
Great service provided by Hamza. I recently had an amazing experience with them. Their attention to detail and customer service were top-notch. They helped me plan my umrah stay and everything went smoothly from start to finish. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to have a seamless travel experience!

THE REASON FOR 3 STARS IS THAT WE STARTED OFF WITH A REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE BY PAYING THEN WAITING FOR AROUND 3 MONTHS FOR HOTEL CONFIRMATION ONLY TO TELL US THE HOTELS WE PAID FOR WERE FULLY BOOKED. WE THEN WERE ON THE PHONE TO THE AGENCY EVERY SINGLE DAY ARGUING FOR THE ORIGINAL HOTELS. AFTER ALL THE STRESS WE DID FINALLY GET WHAT WE PAID FOR. THATS WHY MOST OF THE 1 STAR REVIEWS RELATE. SO OVERALL THEY MESSED US AROUND ALOT THROUGH THE BOOKING PERIOD. BUT ONCE WE WERE IN SAUDI WE DIDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS ONLY THE FACT WE DIDNT GET AN UMRAH GUIDE AS PROMISED. SO IF YOU DO DECIDE TO BOOK THROUGH THIS AGENCY BE PREPARED FOR ALOT OF TIME WASTE. I WAS ALSO ASKED TO CHANGE MY REVIEW BY THE AGENCY SO THIS IS AN UPDATED REVIEW. I ONLY DECIDED TO DO AN UPDATE AS WE DIDNT HAVE PROBLEMS IN SAUDI.

Great service From Sales Executive Shahid
I spoke to the sales executive who not only provided me the cheapest price amongst all the competitors, but he was extremely helpful and patient. His service was so good that he even spent a good amount of time dealing with my query at 11pm at night! The next day he spent answering all my questions and very understanding. Because of his service I will be returning to Islamic Travels for my future umrah trips. Thank you Shahid, you are an asset to the company.

Zara is the best
From the day that I had contacted Islamic travel and I had spoken to an agent called Zara, asking her about travelling for umrah and from that day she has been really helpful through the process and whilst on our trip she had messaged us to ask if we are okay and everything is going well. I would recommend her to anyone and I will definitely travel with them again. - Suntu Barrow

Islamic Travel went above and beyond from the initial enquiry through to the actual trip. I was assigned Hamza who really took the time to understand the groups needs and remained professional and patient as we went through each hotel in detail! The pricing came in very competitive and the visas arrived well in time. I cannot recommend this company enough and Hamza is definitely an asset.

Traveling with islamic travel made our whole umra experience much easy
Alhamdulillah traveling with islamic travel made our whole umra experience simple and easy. Ali was there in all the step of our journey, we where able to contact him anytime and make queries, for example the flight was delayed and we missed the flight, and we paniced and he answered our call even though it was not his working time. And he contacted the hotel to say we will not be able to make it on time. He was kind person and it was easy to speak to him. And Ali did not make you feel uncomfortable when we where truing to make a good deal. And I believe he gave us the best deal.

I came back from Ummrah a couple days…
I came back from Ummrah a couple days ago, It was a wonderful experience Alhamdulillah. I was dealing with Brother Awais. He was extremely helpful, answering any and all questions I had (I am Autistic and physically disabled). I had some trouble understanding things and he was patient enough to listen to my concerns and helping me with them both before and throughout the trip. He helped find us the best deals on the hotels etc. I had a couple hiccups on the trip but Awais was very quick to help deal with them such as with the taxi driver not showing up once we landed and the hotel at Madina did not show our booking reference for some reason, we had contacted Awais both times and he had sorted all of this very quickly. Awais had made planning and going on this trip easier than I had assumed and I was assured and he helped me feel at ease. Even whilst I was on the trip he always sent me messages, ensuring all was well and there weren't any problems.

A beautiful Umrah experience
We have just returned from an incredible visit to Mecca to perform an Umrah. It was my daughter’s first time to visit the holy cities and I wanted this to be a hassle free but memorable trip which it was thanks to our fantastic agent Ali who responded to all our requests and understood what we needed. What’s more he messaged several times during our trip to check if we were able to meet up with the transport providers and confirmation of our flight timings on return. I would definitely use this agency again and recommend it to my family and friends without hesitation. Thanks Ali

Gaza latest: Israel's use of weapons provided by US likely violated international law, report by Biden govt finds
The Biden administration says Israel likely violated international law with US-provided weapons. Earlier, Israel's ambassador to the UN used a paper shredder to shred the UN charter on stage at the UN General Assembly.

Firefighters are battling a large blaze in Kiryat Shmona, a city in northern Israel, after 35 rockets were fired by Lebanon's Hezbollah, according to The Times of Israel.
The news site cited the Israel Fire and Rescue Services as saying 10 firefighting teams were at the scene.
Video posted on social media appeared to show the fire on what looked like the side of a hill.
No casualties or injuries have been reported.
A report by the US government has said that Israel's use of US-provided weapons in Gaza likely violated international humanitarian law.
In the findings of a state department report - known as the national security memorandum - the Biden administration said it has found "reasonable" evidence to conclude that its ally had breached international law.
But it added it was unable to link specific US weapons to individual Israeli strikes.
The report said: "Given Israel's significant reliance on US-made defence articles, it is reasonable to assess that defence articles have been used by Israeli security forces since 7 October in instances inconsistent with its international humanitarian law obligations or with established best practices for mitigating civilian harm."
It added that while Israel has the knowledge, experience and tools to implement the "best practices for mitigating civilian harm in its military operations" evidence from the ground - including high levels of civilian casualties - raise "substantial questions whether the IDF is using them effectively in all cases".
Turning to the issue of aid getting into Gaza, the US government report said it does not currently assess that the Israeli government is prohibiting or restricting the transport or delivery of aid.
Crucially, the report stops short of saying that Israel has violated the terms under which it is able to use US weapons to carry out its offensive in Gaza.

A huge majority of the world's nations voted with the Palestinians at the United Nations today.
But who were the nine countries that voted against the Palestinian quest for membership, rights and privileges at the UN, and why?
The current Israeli government is firmly against a Palestinian state in every sense.
Different iterations of Israeli governments over the years have oscillated on 'two states', but after the 7 October Hamas attacks the Israeli position cemented - no two states, no Palestinian state.
Broadly, they do not distinguish between the extremism of Hamas and the moderate nature of other Palestinian political factions like the Fatah-run Palestinian Authority in the West Bank. It's the crux of deadlock.
So who else?
The United States
They stand behind Israel despite significant tension now between President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
America is committed to a two-state solution but argues that it begins with a ceasefire and that the formation of a Palestinian state comes much further down the line.
Speaking after the vote, White House spokesman John Kirby said: "We continue to believe in the promise of a two-state solution and an independent state for the Palestinian people.
"That's something that President Biden remains fully and firmly committed to. We also believe that the best way to do that is through direct negotiations with the parties and not through a vote at the UN of this kind, so that's why we voted no."
As always with geopolitics, relationships are so often symbiotic; they are all about mutual benefit even when, ostensibly, the relationship might seem incongruous.
The eastern-European EU member voted with Israel and against the Palestinians.
Don't assume that hard-right Hungarian Prime Minister Orban's hatred of Hungarian-born Jewish-US billionaire George Soros is a reflection of his views on Israel despite the anti-Soros narrative often being seen as antisemitic.
Antisemitism has haunted the right of politics in Hungary since the Second World War when half a million Jewish Hungarians were murdered. Yet Orban and Netanyahu have a close, longstanding relationship.
Israel and Hungary are aligned by mutual interests.
Orban admires the way Netanyahu's ethos of building strength out of a small nation-state and the two leaders found mutual interest in standing up to liberal democratic headwinds.
Orban's fallout with the EU has aligned with Netanyahu's assessment that Europe is increasingly anti-Israel.
The Soros-hatred also aligns with Netanyahu in that the conspiracy is that Soros is somehow seeking to 'Islamise' Judeo-Christian Europe with his pro-immigration stance.
Argentina's vote is driven by new populist President Javier Milei who has pledged unwavering support for Netanyahu and has vowed to move Argentina's embassy to Jerusalem.
Milei has said he plans to convert to Judaism.
Czech Republic
The Czech Republic also voted with Israel in line with a strongly pro-Israel stance underlined repeatedly since 7 October.
There is a strong historical bond between Czech leaders and the Zionist movement which helped cement the Jewish State which strengthened after the fall of Communism in 1989.
As a new democracy, the Czech Republic bonded with a young democracy in Israel. In recent years, economic ties have flourished.
Pacific Island Nations
The rest, curiously maybe, are all Pacific Island nations: Micronesia, Papua New Guinea, Nauru and Palau.
The reason for their support is simple: straightforward soft power.
The small developing nations all enjoy generous Israeli aid from the government and from Israeli charities.
The understanding is that, in return, they will always support Israel at international bodies of which they are members.
Israel insists that its motivation is predominantly humanitarian, but officials are up front to that it's also about positioning Israel in a better light.
Israel uses its considerable expertise in many arenas deftly.
At natural disasters, for example, Israeli rescue crews are often among the first on the ground.
This targeted soft power diplomacy has helped Israel to secure votes, but also abstentions in its favour among many other nations too.
On this vote though, on Palestine, global opinion was overwhelmingly against Israel.
Israel's entry for Eurovision 2024, Eden Golan, has become one of the favourites among bookies to win this year's contest.
The 20-year-old singer climbed to second favourite from ninth after the semi-final, according to Eurovision World, a website that compiles betting odds from 15 of Europe's biggest bookmakers.
It said Israel is seen as having a 22% chance of winning, behind Croatia's Baby Lasagna who was seen having a 41% chance.
It comes despite more than 10,000 people gathering in the host Swedish city of Malmo to stage a non-violent protest against Israel's participation in Saturday's final.
While the results of the two semi-finals are decided by viewers, in the final, audience votes will make up only half of the result, while juries of five music professionals in each participating country will make up the other half.
Earlier, the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations appeared on stage at a meeting of the UN General Assembly.
Whilst on stage in New York he shredded "a copy of the UN charter" - which was, in reality, three pieces of paper.
His actions came moments before the 193-member world body approved a resolution, giving Palestine new "rights and privileges" within the agency.
Watch the full moment below.
A first of its kind report by the US government is expected to conclude that Israel has not violated the terms of its use of US weapons, according to sources cited by the Associated Press.
The report - known as the national security memorandum - was pushed by President Joe Biden's Democrats in Congress.
When agreed to back in February, defence and state departments were tasked to conduct "an assessment of any credible reports or allegations that such defence articles and, defence services, have been used in a manner not consistent with international law, including international humanitarian law".
They were also obliged to tell Congress if they thought Israel has acted to "arbitrarily to deny, restrict, or otherwise impede, directly or indirectly," delivery of any US-supported humanitarian aid into Gaza for starving civilians there.
It follows the US pausing a shipment of 3,500 bombs heading for Israel over concern they would be used in an offensive on Rafah.
The conclusions of the memorandum are expected to be sharply critical of Israel, but will not state that Israel violated terms of weapons agreements between the two countries.
A senior Biden administration official said the full report is expected to be released later today, but declined to comment on its conclusions.
Palestinians in Rafah are still preparing to evacuate the eastern parts of the city amid the threat of an Israeli ground offensive.
The United Nations estimates around 110,000 Palestinians have already fled in search of safety.
In the latest pictures from the city, a tent camp where people are currently living is seen.
In one of the images, people appear to have started to make piles of their belongings as they get ready to evacuate.
South Africa has asked the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to order additional emergency measures against Israel over its attacks on the city of Rafah, the United Nations top court has said.
It is part of the ongoing case brought by South Africa in January which accuses Israel of acts of genocide against Palestinians .
The court - which is located in The Hague in the Netherlands - ordered Israel at the beginning of the year to take all measures within its power to prevent genocide.
South Africa wanted the ICJ to implement provisional measures on Israel which would "immediately suspend military operations in and against Gaza" - but the ICJ stopped short of that.
Any decision to impose provisional measures will be "hugely problematic" for the Israeli offensive, which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed will continue until all hostages are returned and Hamas is destroyed.
Within the last few hours, the United Nations General Assembly has backed a bid put forward by Palestine for it to become a full agency member.
The vote passed by 143 votes to nine but 25 countries - including the UK - abstained.
In a post on X, the UK at the UN explained why it took the decision to abstain.
"We are abstaining on this resolution because we believe that the first step towards achieving this goal is resolving the immediate crisis in Gaza," it said.
It said the fastest way to end the conflict is to secure a deal which releases all hostages and allows for a pause in fighting.
The statement added that the UK remains firmly committed to a two-state solution and recognising a Palestinian state, including in the UN, and should be part of the process to achieving a sustainable ceasefire.
The US ambassador to the UN Robert Wood gave similar reasons as to why America voted against the bid, saying its vote does not reflect opposition to Palestinian statehood.
"Instead, it is an acknowledgement that statehood will only come from a process that involves direct negotiations between the parties," he said.
What happens next?
For Palestine to become a full UN member, the 15-member UN Security Council will have to vote, and pass, the application.
At the last security council vote in March - which demanded a ceasefire in Gaza during the holy month of Ramadan - the US abstained.
The 14 other council members - including Russia, China and the UK - voted in favour.
For now, it remains unclear if or when the security council will vote on Palestine's membership bid.
Hamas has said it will hold talks with leaders of what it called "Palestinian resistance factions" to reconsider its negotiation strategy.
It said the discussions need to be held due to Benjamin Netanyahu's behaviour, Israeli attacks on places in Rafah and the occupation of the city's border crossing with Egypt.
"Netanyahu and his government are using the negotiations as a cover to attack Rafah and occupy the crossing, and continue the war of extermination against our people, and they bear full responsibility for obstructing reaching an agreement," the statement said.
Earlier this week, Hamas said they expressed agreement over a ceasefire deal following a phone call with Qatar's prime minister and Egypt's intelligence minister.
Israel later put an end to this, saying it would not accept the deal in its current form, a decision Hamas said today had brought things "back to square one".
