Absolutely first class all the way through. The ship is relatively new. The staff is fantastic. The food was gourmet quality exquisite. It’s more than worth the money and it may be the nicest ship on the Nile.

Let me start by saying it was a great experience,the staff were the most friendly and the Sheff was the most creative. My thanks to the whole organization for putting together such a great experience!

Everything was amazing. Truly 5-star and one of the best ships on the Nile. Everything from the common areas and guest cabins, to the amenities and offerings felt new and luxurious. The service from all the staff, Omar in particular, our guide Mo Ramadan and the Executive Chef was truly something special offering service and empathy you cannot find at even the most selective hotels and resorts in the world. The food was like dining in a Michelin Star restaurant everyday. Don't think twice when booking this cruise.

They went out of the way to make us happy. The friendly captain of the ship let us stand next to him and gave us tea when we went through Esna Lock, the staff was always helpful, the food was exceptional throughout. We booked a Presidential Suit because our son was with us. It had a sitting room, a very nice bathroom with excellent water pressure, fruits and snacks in the room, and came with free laundry service. We loved the whole experience. Historia may have timed the docking time at some ports so that the we could visit the ancient monuments when they were least crowded.

Get back to your ship and enjoy your lunch on the sun deck, watching the unique landscape of the great river Nile. Afternoon, enjoy chariot riding to Temple of Horus in Edfu, which is considered to be one of the most well preserved temples in Egypt. After finishing your tour, you will be transferred back to your ship. Afternoon, you willmenjoy relaxing on board your ship. Dinner will be served on board. At night Egyptian Folkloric Show party will be operated by staff on board.

Day 03: Luxor West Bank - Luxor ON

Breakfast on the Nile cruise. After that you will start your magical tour in Thebes, the sacred land by exploring the west bank of Luxor including Valley of the Kings , which considers as the royal cemetery of the Theban kings and rulers of ancient Egypt, and the place where our Pharaohs were buried. After that, you will proceed to visit Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari. This temple is considered as one of the most wonderful examples of the Architecture in ancient Egypt, because it was totally carved inside the mountain. Check out after breakfast (at 08:00 AM). Day 05: Disembarkation from cruise - Departure to Cairo

Check out after breakfast. Then our representative will accompany you to Aswan airport - station to take your flight to Cairo (Breakfast) **

Optional Tour: Excursion to Abu Simble temples either by private coach or by domestic flight: you will be met with our English-speaking tour guide in Aswan who will transfer you by private A-C van to Abu Simbel, lies south of Aswan on the western bank of the Nile, 180 miles south of the First Cataract in what was Nubia. The site was known as Meha in ancient times and was first documented in the 18th Dynasty, when Ay and Horemheb had rock-cut chapels hewn in the hills to the south. Upon arrival, you will proceed to visit Abu Simbel Temples, which were built by the well-known king Ramses II. The biggest temple was called as the Great temple. It was built by Ramesses II and being dedicated to the famous god Rahorakhty. While the smaller temple and it was dedicated to king Ramesses II himself and his beautiful wife queen Nefertari. After finishing your day tour, you will drive back toward Aswan. Arrive Aswan and be transferred by private A-C van to your chosen hotel there for check in, rest and refresh or transfer to Aswan airport to catch your domestic flight to Cairo.

You will be met by a Cairo Top Tours local representative in Aswan Airport or the railway station in the morning holding a signboard exposing your name, and he will take you to your Historia boutique hotel Nile Cruise in a private air-conditioned vehicle to begin your Aswan tours. In a few minutes, we'll be checking in our boat. A Texas mother is facing a child abandonment charge after police allege she left her two children, aged 6 and 8 years old, alone for several days while going on a cruise. Lakesha Woods Williams was arrested and booked into jail last Thursday, according to inmate records reviewed by PEOPLE.

Harris County Sheriff's Office records show Williams, 29, was charged with abandoning a child with intent to return and is being held on $25,000 bond.

The mother of two was arrested after officers responded to a call concerning her children allegedly being left alone in the family’s apartment in Houston, according to information shared on social media by Harris County Constable Precinct 5.

The constable’s office said Williams left her two young children at the apartment on April 4.

“On April 9th, deputies found the children alone in the apartment, and they told deputies their mother was on a cruise,” the office said in its news release. “Paramedics and CPS were called to the scene to check on the kids health and safety.”

The constable’s office alleged Williams returned home on the night of April 10 and was arrested the following day when officers returned to the apartment to follow up on the child welfare call.

"We are still putting together the facts and circumstances of how these children were left alone for several days," Constable Ted Heap said in a statement. “But the important thing is they are safe now and those responsible should be held accountable for leaving these kids in an unsafe situation."

The office said “both children are now in the care of a relative.”

Fox News reported that Williams was due in court on Monday.

Local ABC 13 reported that Williams’ neighbors had been concerned about the children for some time and that the family’s apartment appeared disheveled when officers arrived. "Many of the residents were worried about the children and have said this is not the first time that something like this has occurred," Williams' charging document alleged, according to the outlet.

ABC reported that officers said the apartment smelled of urine when they arrived for the welfare check and that it seemed the 6 and 8-year-old children were attempting to cook for themselves while their mother was allegedly away on the cruise.

A Texas mother was arrested after she allegedly abandoned her two young kids to go on a cruise — leaving the children home alone for nearly a week, officials said.

Lakesha Woods Williams, 29, was hit with two charges of child endangerment last Thursday after officers found her 8-year-old and 6-year-old alone in their high-rise apartment complex in Houston with no adult supervision, according to the Harris Country Constable- Precinct 5.

Williams left her kids to take her solo vacation on April 4 and returned the night of April 10. She was arrested the following day.

Concerned neighbors called emergency responders after worrying about the siblings’ welfare, according to the constable.

The neighbors saw Williams leaving the building with luggage on April 4 and noticed she failed to come home after several days, according to court records obtained by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Deputies visited the apartment on April 9 and found the two kids alone in the apartment trashed with garbage and food all around the floor and a “potent smell of urine,” the documents state.

The place was in “complete disarray,” deputies said.

The children said their mother had left to go on a cruise and was communicating with them through a camera in the apartment and via text messages to the 8-year-old.

The kids were checked by paramedics as well as Child Protective Services. They were removed from the apartment and are now in the care of their aunt.

Neighbors told deputies it was “not the first time” they had been left at home with no adults.

Williams was booked into Harris County Jail on a $40,000 bond, according to jail records.

She is set to be in court Monday.

6 former Mississippi law officers sentenced in state court for torture of 2 Black men

Already sentenced to many years in federal prison, six white former Mississippi law enforcement officers have been sentenced in state court for their roles in torturing two Black men

BRANDON, Miss. -- Already sentenced to many years in federal prison, six white former Mississippi law enforcement officers who pleaded guilty to a long list of state and federal charges for torturing two Black men were sentenced Wednesday in state court.

The state sentences did not add time to the federal prison terms the defendants had already received, but the victims’ supporters hailed the yearslong sentences, saying they took on unique importance in Mississippi, where local residents saw echoes of the state's history of racist atrocities by people in authority.

The six former officers who attacked Michael Corey Jenkins and Eddie Terrell Parker in January 2023 were sentenced last month to federal prison terms ranging from about 10 to 40 years. U.S. District Judge Tom Lee called their actions “egregious and despicable” as he gave sentences near the top of the federal guidelines to five of the six men.

Rankin County Circuit Judge Steve Ratcliff on Wednesday gave the men yearslong state sentences that were shorter than the amount of time in federal prison they had already received, but longer than what state prosecutors had recommended. Time served for the state convictions will run concurrently, or at the same time, as the federal sentences, and the men will serve their time in federal penitentiaries.

After the hearing, Malik Shabazz, an attorney representing Jenkins and Parker, celebrated that the former law officers were held accountable in the same courthouse where they had testified against people.

“They all had to come and appear in a courtroom where they have created much mischief,” Shabazz said. "In this courtroom and in this courthouse, they have been given credibility to their statements. But today was dramatically different. Today, the judge in this circuit county court has given out justice."

Shabazz had said the state criminal sentencing is important because “historically, the state of Mississippi has lagged behind or ignored racial crimes and police brutality against Blacks.” He applauded Ratcliff's decision to reject state prosecutors' recommendations for shorter sentences on the state charges.

Michelle Williams, a spokesperson for the Mississippi Attorney General's Office, said the sentences handed down Wednesday were consistent with the plea agreement reached with federal prosecutors.

In a written statement, Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch said the former officers' crimes did grave harm to the victims and violated the trust of citizens they were supposed to protect.

“These criminal acts make a difficult job even harder and far more dangerous,” Fitch said. “And it is left to us all to commit ourselves to repairing that damage.”

The defendants include five former Rankin County sheriff’s deputies — Brett McAlpin, 53; Hunter Elward, 31; Christian Dedmon, 29; Jeffrey Middleton, 46; and Daniel Opdyke, 28 — and a former police officer from the city of Richland, Joshua Hartfield, 32, who was off duty during the assault.

All six of the former officers pleaded guilty to state charges of conspiracy to hinder prosecution. They were sentenced on multiple counts ranging from five to 20 years. Elward admitted to aggravated assault, and was sentenced to 20 years alongside punishments for burglary and conspiracy.

The charges followed an Associated Press investigation in March 2023 that linked some of the officers to at least four violent encounters since 2019 that left two Black men dead.

The terror began on Jan. 24, 2023, with a racist call for extrajudicial violence, according to federal prosecutors.

A white person phoned McAlpin and complained that two Black men were staying with a white woman at a house in Braxton, Mississippi. McAlpin told Dedmon, who texted a group of white deputies so willing to use excessive force they called themselves “The Goon Squad.”

Once inside, they handcuffed Jenkins and his friend Parker and poured milk, alcohol and chocolate syrup over their faces while mocking them with racial slurs. They forced them to strip naked and shower together to conceal the mess. They mocked the victims with racial slurs and assaulted them with sex objects.

In a mock execution gone awry, Elward shot Jenkins in the mouth, lacerating his tongue and breaking his jaw. The officers devised a coverup and agreed to plant drugs on Jenkins and Parker. False charges stood against the men for months.

McAlpin and Middleton, the oldest in the group, threatened to kill other officers if they spoke up, prosecutors said.

The only defendant who didn’t receive a federal prison term at the top of the sentencing guidelines was Hartfield, who did not work in a sheriff’s department with the others and was not a member of the “Goon Squad.”

In federal court, the deputies expressed remorse for their behavior and apologized to Jenkins and Parker. Several of their attorneys said their clients became ensnared in a culture of corruption that was encouraged by leaders in the sheriff’s office.

Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey revealed no details about his deputies’ actions when he announced they had been fired last June. After they pleaded guilty in August, Bailey said the officers had gone rogue and promised changes. Jenkins and Parker have called for his resignation and filed a $400 million civil lawsuit against the department.

In statements read by their attorneys in court Wednesday, Jenkins and Parker said their ordeal had been ingrained in their bodies and minds.

“Your honor, they killed me. I just didn’t die,” Jenkins said.
