Safari Rant

  • Oct 14, 2023

I just wanted to rant about Safari after the Sonoma update. Which in my opinion was a very boring update.

Adding profiles was nice, but that’s just catching up to basic browser features. Adding Favicons to the Favorites Bar was welcomed but again, catching up to basic browser features. I also wish they would’ve let you just show the Favicons on the Favorites Bar.

My Safari Wishlist

-PiP: the same features as Firefox and Vivaldi. Don’t need to hold CMD to place the window where you want. Just move it there and it stays there versus the four corners of your monitor. Has a volume button on the window. Has a scrubbing bar. And to use your left and right keyboard keys to scrub backward and forward. And being able to have more than one window in PiP at the same time. I know that sounds A.D.D. but when you’re in the zone surfing the web and looking things up PiP is very nice to have.

-Bookmarks: Bookmark icon/star shows when you’re visiting a page you have bookmarked. I don’t know of any browser that doesn’t have it, forever. A duplicate bookmark finder feature like Edge does. And that duplicate finder feature lets you delete the duplicate. A total number of bookmarks you have. Sort all your folders in Bookmarks alphabetically.

-Tile/Split Window button: I know this sounds A.D.D. again. But hear me out. I used this feature in Vivaldi when researching some medical stuff and searching for a new refrigerator. And it was so nice! Sure you can put two browser windows next to each other. But when you’re comparing information and want a window (fridge features) to stay right there and the other window looking comparisons up, it works so well. This way your browser stays organized and not a hot mess of tabs just for a single thing you’re looking up. Edge, Vivaldi, Arc, and Sigma OS have nice tile window features.

-Reading List: Maybe Apple doesn’t want to get into competition with other read later apps and software. I wish they’d add folders, tags, and an archive feature for what you’ve read but want to keep it for reference later.

-Extensions: More of them of course! I use Ad-Guard but would much rather have Ublock Origin. I think if Apple wouldn’t charge devs for their extensions, Safari would get a flood of great extensions and get kudos from the tech world.

I know this all may sound nitpicky but I like to bookmark interesting sites to check out later. I might not visit them regularly but I want them saved for reference later. Plus bookmarks hardly take up any space. Apple does a fantastic job of syncing your browser information across all your devices. So if I bookmark a site on my MacMini, iPhone, or iPad I know I’ll be able to see them on any devices later on.

I tried to move to Brave full time but there were some features of Safari/Apple ecosystem that put an end to it.

-Receiving text verification codes in Safari. That’s such a nice and very convenient feature!

-Safari’s take on Tab Groups. I prefer Safari’s take on tab groups so much more than other browsers. It’s neat and tidy. Easy to access. And with Apple ecosystem syncing they show up exactly the same on all my devices, so nice!

-Saving pages to Apple Notes. So this is 100% preference nitpicky. But when you use the Share button to save a webpage to Apple Notes it does it in a nice thumbnail view. I use this feature a lot when saving books I want to read later, shows I want to watch later, or saving websites to a note for some project I’m looking into home repair or some topic that requires a lot of reading and information. Sure I can copy and paste links to Apple Notes. But they just show up as URL text versus a thumbnail which makes visually scanning my blackhole of Notes easier to manage.

-The chore of setting up and syncing new browsers across all my Apple devices is not fun! I have a MacMini, iPhone, iPad Air, and iPad Mini. Way more than I need. Safari is already on all my devices and synced, Apple got the hooks in me.

Okay, end rant. Am I just being a grouchy nerd? Are there any other Apple users that feel the same way? Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Have you tried reinstalling macOS? It won't wipe your user account, and might fix the random closing/reopening issues. Alternatively, it might be caused by some sort of syncing issue with iCloud, so try signing out and back in again?

Shirasaki said: First, reinstalling however many times won’t solve the problem of not having CMD+Q safety feature like Chrome and FireFox has. Second, why I have to keep login and log out of iCloud just to let tab group works? What if I have to wait minutes or even hours after each log out and log in if such issue persists? Yes I tried that before and no it doesn't solve the problem. Third, if Apple’s engineer is so incompetent that the only solution to any problem is login and logout and/or reinstall everything, they get to take the blame, not the end user. I see iCloud bookmarks synchronisation with iOS is broken yet again. Along with the comedy sidebar and favicon lottery in iPadOS 15, Safari these days is a total embarrassment. I understand that software is complicated, but if a three trillion dollar company can’t ship a working web browser in 2022, there’s no hope.

Safari keeps logging me out of websites I frequently visit. Amazon, eBay, etc... Everytime I go to one of these, I have to reenter my username and password even though I click the box to remain logged in

Why is the lack of confirmation on cmd+Q such a big deal? If you ever do it by mistake you can always select "reopen closed window" or whatever it's called after restarting. I actually disable that confirmation on other browsers because it seems pointless to worry about it, as they all support restoring your last window.

OK! I'm joining in on the RANT!! I upgrade my iPhone the other night and they did something that seemed to reorganize my tab groups. Ever since then, my Mac's Safari has become possessed. The window sometimes just switches to a different tab, or the tab starts showing a different page (presumably in its history on some device). Anyway, to write this post I went to my phone to check the tab group change so that I could relay that information. I didn't see anything strange; everything was back to the way it was before the iOS update. But, of course my Mac's Safari wouldn't have it. It switched me over to my Amazon order in another tab. And the tab I was using to type this post jumped to a different MacRumor's thread. Pretty much unusable. Maybe it will all settle down again and I'll conveniently forget this pain.

Yeah, I’ve had some complaints about safari, but I will say I’ve always hated that other browsers break the CMD+Q functionality. I’ve been quitting applications with command+q since 1991, and Amiga-Q before that. Why all of a sudden do we have to hold it down, and just for browsers? Arrrgh.

Of course Google did this with Chrome but I expect that from a company that makes its money from advertisements. It’s just weird Apple did it. I don’t think I’ve ever accidentally pressed Command + Q. It would be nice if Apple gave us the option to remap some of the commands. Click to expand...

A feature that doesn't behave the way it was designed to behave is one thing. Not having a safety net for yourself is another. I've been a Firefox user for close to 20 years. Closing the window was always Ctrl+Q. ALWAYS !!!! Apple may have lowered the bar too much.

It was quite the comedy trying to compose an email this morning within the Fastmail web UI. Over the course of five minutes of writing, the web page shifted from under me two times. One time it just jumped to another tab and one time it jumped to a different part of the Fastmail UI. Luckily, each time I was able to reopen the draft to keep working. I did use my iPhone Safari this morning, but I haven't touch any of my tab groups on that browser in days. I haven't yet tried to log out of iCloud yet. Maybe I'll do that this weekend. Before I do that I will call Apple Care and see what they say.

Just tried rebinding cmd+q and it does seem to work on monterey, not sure why it does not for you

russell_314 said: I’m guessing this is an app and not a browser plug in? So far I like my pihole setup best because it blocks annoying ads and all the ones that cover the entire page where you can’t read the content and on all devices connected to wifi. This is nice when I’m on my iPhone or iPad. I’ve tried ad blockers on iOS but they don’t seem to work very well. It doesn’t always block YouTube ads but that’s not really a big deal since I have YouTube premium. Click to expand...

A Rant on Safari

by Ezri on July 28, 2023 tags: safari ios rant

The start of it all

So I was testing my new website css with my iPad since I can easily drag the window size via stage manager. I opened my website in a private tab, and when I was done with it, I pressed CMD-w, but it closed the whole safari window. I thought it had just closed the private tab, so I re-opened safari, and I found that all my other tabs had disappeared.

I started panicking, I remembered that if you go into the “Show All Windows” page, it should have a button to recover the last deleted window. Unfortunately, I don’t know why, but it was not there…

I also remembered that if you hold down the plus key, it should show your recently closed tabs. Great, it might be a bit of effort to reopen them all, but I should still be able to recover them all, or so I thought. I held down the “+” button, and it showed me only the list of tabs that I had manually closed …

I have come to accept that my 30 or so tabs that I wanted to read later are gone, and I did not want to resort to going back to yesterday’s iCloud backup.

Lessons Learned

I’ll start using tab groups for everything, they seem to persist for a while. I used to use tab groups for everything due to the same reason, but I got lazy and started to not use tab groups… Never again.

If you have any questions, want to change my mind, or literally anything else, please reach out !

Ranthambore Safari

Jeep & Canter Safari Safari Booking

  • Wildlife Tour Packages
  • Travel Information

The jungle safari at Ranthambore National Park happens twice a day, every day, between the months of October and June and is a popular tourist attraction in Rajasthan. The wildlife safari is only permitted during the months of October-June and is not available on Wednesdays, as the park remains closed. Bookings for the Ranthambore safaris are handled by the Forest Department and are offered in two formats: Jeep Safari and Canter Safari. The Jeep Safari can accommodate up to 6 people, while the Canter Safari can hold up to 20 people at a time.

Although the Ranthambore’s Jeep Safari is slightly more expensive than the Canter, it is recommended by visitors who have experienced the wildlife of the park because it allows for more flexibility in movement and can access areas the Canter cannot.

The Safari lasts approximately 3 and a half hours and occurs twice a day: once in the morning and once in the evening. Since these safaris are very popular, it’s advisable to book well in advance. The park also reserves a certain number of seats every morning for slots in the evening of that day and the following morning. You can book the seats for your safari online.

A Brief Insight into Ranthambore Tiger Reserve

Ranthambore National Park is among the foremost tiger reserves in the world that shelters the Bengal Tiger species. It is a favorite destination for photographers and wildlife enthusiasts. Located in Sawai Madhopur, in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan, Ranthambore Tiger Reserve has emerged as a renowned destination for wildlife tourism in India. Uniquely, the tigers here are active during the day, unlike most tigers that are typically nocturnal.

Given the substantial number of tigers that roam freely within the park, there’s a good chance of spotting one during a visit. These majestic creatures exist nonchalantly in the reserve, so if you’re keen on a close encounter, allowing you to observe them in all their grandeur, then a jungle safari is the way to go. Ranthambore National Park offers safaris for visitors eager to see the tigers in their natural habitat. In addition to the tigers, one might also encounter other wildlife such as leopards, hyenas, wild cats, reptiles, and a variety of birds that call Ranthambore home.

Best of Ranthambore’s Safari Zones

Ranthambore National Park is divided into ‘core areas’ and ‘buffer zones’. The ‘core areas’ are regions where tigers roam freely. To protect and support their habitat, deforestation and other commercial activities are prohibited in these areas. In contrast, ‘buffer zones’ are areas of the reserve where the land can be used by local people for farming or other purposes while still being managed for conservation by the government.

For visitor convenience, Ranthambore National Park is segmented into 10 zones for tiger sightings. Zones 1-5 constitute the core areas, while zones 6-10 are part of the buffer zone. Zones 3, 4, and 5 are particularly popular and preferred by many visitors. During the summer, tigers are more easily sighted in these zones due to the presence of lakes and other water bodies. These sites attract tigers and other animals looking to quench their thirst in the hot season.

Wildlife That Can Be Spotted During Ranthambore Jungle Safari

Being a tiger reserve, Ranthambore National Park has a large number of Tigers in its habitat. It also has other big cats such as-

  • Fishing Cat

Apart from the wild cats, the park has other wild animals as well, such as:

  • Indian Wild Boar
  • Hanuman Langurs
  • Sambar Deer
  • Spotted Deer
  • Indian Gazelle
  • Blue Bull or Nilgai

Ranthambore also has abundant reptile species as well, like:

  • Desert Monitor Lizards
  • Banded Kraits
  • Indian Pythons
  • Indian Flap Shelled Turtle
  • Russell’s Viper
  • Snub Nosed Marsh Crocodiles

The bird enthusiasts can indulge in a wholesome bird watching experience due to the variety of birds that are found here. Some of them include:

  • Woodpeckers
  • Greylag Goose
  • Asian Palm Swift

Ranthambore Safari Timings

Safari timings in the Ranthambore tiger reserve vary by season, so it’s best to confirm them before your visit-

Best Time for Ranthambore’s Jungle Safari

The best time to visit Ranthambore National Park is during the months of October to March since the weather is pleasant to travel. But it is during the months of April to June that you can see tigers more since they can be seen near the lakes and other water bodies to quench their thirst during the hot summer season.

  • Advance Booking: Ensure you book your Ranthambore safari well in advance. Due to its popularity, failing to do so might result in not getting your preferred zone, vehicle, or even a seat.
  • Multiple Safaris: Consider taking multiple safaris. This increases your chances of sighting a tiger, as sightings are influenced by both seasons and tiger movements.
  • Hydration: Bring plenty of water. A safari typically lasts around 3 and a half hours.
  • Binoculars: Given that animals might be distant, carrying binoculars can enhance your viewing experience.
  • Clothing: Opt for earthy-toned clothes like brown, green, and beige. These help you blend in with the surroundings. Avoid bright colors like red, which might make animals cautious and deter them from approaching.

Dos and Don’ts During the Safari

  • Protection: Carry sun hats, scarfs, and masks. The park’s climate is dry, and there can be considerable dust.
  • Behavior: Stay composed and calm. Always listen to your guide.
  • Feeding: Never feed the animals. They have ample food, and feeding them can be dangerous given their wild nature.
  • Littering: Avoid littering during your safari. Instead, dispose of waste at designated spots.
  • Vehicle Safety: Do not disembark from your vehicle and always remain seated.
  • Noise: Refrain from making loud noises or sounds. This could deter animals and hinder sightings.
  • Substances: Smoking and alcohol consumption are prohibited within the park’s premises.

School principal was framed using AI-generated racist rant, police say. A co-worker is now charged.

By Christian Olaniran , Jessica Albert

Updated on: April 26, 2024 / 9:55 AM EDT / CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE -- A former high school athletic director was arrested Thursday morning after allegedly using artificial intelligence to impersonate the school principal in a recording that included  racist and antisemitic  comments about individuals at the school.

One-time Pikesville High School employee Dazhon Darien is facing charges that include theft, stalking, disruption of school operations and retaliation against a witness.

Investigators determined he faked principal Eric Eiswert's voice and circulated the audio on social media in January. Darien's nickname, DJ, was among the names mentioned in the audio clips he allegedly faked, according to the Baltimore County State's Attorney's Office.

Baltimore County detectives say Darien created the recording as retaliation against Eiswert, who had launched an investigation into the potential mishandling of school funds, Baltimore County Police Chief Robert McCullough said on Thursday.

Eiswert's voice, which police and  AI experts believe was simulated , made disparaging comments toward Black students and the surrounding Jewish community. The audio was widely circulated on social media.

Baltimore County Police said Darien was at the airport trying to get on a flight to Houston when he was arrested.  He had a firearm on him at the time, according to police.

"Mr. Darien was stopped because of the way his declared firearm was packaged when officers looked into his background they learned he had an open arrest warrant," McCullough said.

Race-based commentary

On the audio clip, a voice that mimicked Principal Eiswert made race-based commentary, including statements that African-American students were unable to "test their way out of a paper bag," according to charging documents.

There were also comments about Jewish individuals and two teachers who "should never have been hired at the school."  Police said the recording depicted a phony conversation between Eiswert and one of the school's assistant principals.

The clip's viral circulation on social media had significant repercussions. Eiswert was temporarily removed from the school, and waves of hate-filled messages circulated on social media, while the school received numerous phone calls.

Recording's authenticity was questioned

After a meeting, Eiswert told police he believed the audio clip was falsified using AI.  According to charging documents, Eiswert told police that he believed Darien was responsible.  He said that Darien was "technologically savvy and believed he was familiar with AI," and that there had been conversations with Darien about his contract not being renewed the following semester due to frequent work performance challenges.

Interviews with multiple administrators at Pikesville High School revealed that Darien had multiple work-related issues since he began his role as athletic director in July 2023.  Police said Darien had been reprimanded for terminating a long-standing coach at the school without approval.

Investigators say Darien had accessed the school's network multiple times in December and January, performing online searches for OpenAI tools - which police linked to paid OpenAI accounts.

A forensic analyst and university professor contracted by the FBI conducted an audio analysis of the file. The results determined that the recording contained traces of AI-generated content, with human editing that added background noises for realism after the fact, according to the charging documents. Another expert at the University of California, Berkley, analyzed the audio and also determined that it was manipulated.

Response from school leadership

"As you can imagine, this has been a very difficult time for Pikesville High School community, principal Eiswert and his family, and team BCPS. We are incredibly proud of the students and staff and how they have stepped up to support one another," Baltimore County Schools Superintendent Dr. Myriam Rogers said.  "As I said then, and it bears repeating, the statements on the recording do not reflect the core values of our system."

Rogers added that the county is taking "appropriate action" following Darien's arrest, "up to and including a recommendation for termination."

Aloha Safari Park up for sale

rant safari

Update (1:45 p.m. April 6): Aloha Safari Park gave The Rant a statement about the availability of the property for purchase:

We would like to thank everyone who has shown their care and concern over Aloha Safari Park. It is because of our dedicated customers we get to do what we love everyday.  You might not know, but there was a big change here about two years ago when we got a new owner. He’s a real animal enthusiast, having spent his life working with animals, and he brought that passion with him to Aloha. Since taking over, he’s been all about making the place better for the animals and visitors alike. We’ve seen some amazing changes, and it’s all thanks to his hard work and dedication. Now, as he’s thinking about retirement, we’re starting to look at what the future holds. Nothing’s set in stone yet, but selling a place like this isn’t quick or easy. We want to make sure that if the zoo does get a new owner, they’re as committed to the animals as we are. The facility will remain a zoo. Selling just for the land is not what we’re about. Thanks for being part of our zoo family. We promise to keep you in the loop about any changes!

Original story: Aloha Safari Park, a 66-acre zoo located along N.C. 87 just south of Sanford that is home to 300 unique animal species, is up for sale, according the website for National Land Realty .

No price or projected value is listed on the real estate site. The Rant reached out to the park and the land broker via email and text for comment on Friday.

Aloha Safari Park has been a popular spot for visitors for the last 16 years. Located at 159 Mini Lane east near Pineview (south of Olivia, west of Barbecue and north of Spout Springs), the park is home to abandoned animals or those rehabilitating from injury or abuse. It’s considered a rescue operation, in addition to a public attraction.

Aloha has undergone several changes in the last two years, adding a two-mile drive-through safari where guests can interact and feed the animals (using pre-approved safe treats). The park is open six days a week (closed on Tuesdays), and admission runs from $15 for adults to $13 for children and seniors.

A wonderful place to take kids and adults. Up close and friendly view and interaction with zoo animals. I’ve taken kids there numerous times. Appreciate the hard work of staff and volunteers. Great attraction for surrounding communities.

With the right kind of marketing this could be a go to

place for Raliegh and Fayetteville tourists.

The Broadway Zoological Park is opening up in June 2024. Are they maybe purchasing some of Aloha’s animals?

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl: Safari Zone Pokemon List

The Safari Zone/Great Marsh area in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl has a select list of Pokemon to search for day or night.

The Safari Zone has been a staple of mainline Pokemon games since the first games released in 1998. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl continue the tradition, except the designated zone is rebranded as the Great Marsh.

The Great Marsh is similar to many previous Safari Zones, but it has its unique differences in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl . The dedicated area has its own set list of Pokemon that can spawn within all 6 zones. The chances of encountering a specific character changes based on the time of day, whether the National Dex has been acquired, and a randomized potential daily encounter with one character from a binoculars sighting.

RELATED: Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl: Grand Underground Pokemon List

Great Marsh Safari Zone Guide

There are a total of 31 Pokemon that can be caught in the Safari Zone/Great Marsh in Brilliant Diamond and 30 in Shining Pearl, with 8 only catchable after getting the National Dex from Professor Oak after beating the Elite Four . Arbok is exclusive to Brilliant Diamond players.

Trainers will start the Great Marsh Safari Zone after buying 30 Safari Balls and entering the area. They have unlimited time to explore, but the adventure ends when every Pokeball has been thrown, or 500 steps have been reached. Trainers don't battle, but instead must use bait and lure to alter the catch/flee rate. It is highly recommended to just throw a Safari Ball without using any Bait or Lure .

There are 14 Pokemon that can only be encountered after spotting them on the lookout binoculars located on the second floor of the Safari Zone building. This character is randomized daily, and ordinary random catches have the ability to appear in the binoculars for all 6 zones as well. So, there's no guarantee a character that can only be captured after spotting it with the binoculars will actually spawn.

The date/time on the Nintendo Switch can be manipulated (just like time traveling in Animal Crossing: New Horizons ) to simulate a new daily binoculars potential Pokemon encounter.

Safari Zone Pokemon List in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

The following table details the full Safari Zone Pokemon list, along with exactly how to trigger an encounter, and whether they are available before or after getting the National Dex.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are out now for Nintendo Switch.

Make mac safari go full screen & more ways to expand your viewport.

Apple Mac users can customize Safari to see more content from a website and less browser chrome by using full screen, zooming, and hiding controls.

Apple 's Safari browser for the Mac is more customizable than ever and there are several ways to expand the viewport to show more of a website at once, including full screen mode. When looking at a photo or a video, more is usually better and the same is true of data-heavy websites that may have several large tables filled with relevant information. Fitting that all in on a MacBook screen might be a tight squeeze.

It feels like Safari has been around forever, but Apple first launched its browser in 2003. Before that, Mac users primarily relied upon Microsoft's Internet Explorer , although, Opera, Netscape, and Mozilla were well known and good solutions as well. Google's Chrome followed soon after and, over the years, the browser wars have settled into a fairly consistent rendering and performance level, making the differentiating factor more about user-friendliness as well as   the overall look and feel of the browser. Apple usually opts for minimizing the appearance and letting the website shine, but there are ways to show even more of a website's content with Safari.

Related: How To Clear Cookies On A MacBook & Why You Should

Switching to full screen mode is the quickest way to hide all of Safari's chrome, the developer terminology for the user interface, including the address bar, tab bar, and any other controls that are open. Basically, the entire screen becomes a window to the current website. To enter full screen on a MacBook , simply hold the globe key, also known as the function key, and tap the letter 'F.' Tapping the escape key will exit full screen mode. On a Mac that doesn't have such a key on its keyboard, a combination of control and the command key, which looks a bit like a four-leaf clover, plus the letter 'F' switches to full-screen. This is as much screen space as possible, but there is a way to see even more of a web page. Also, Apple gives Safari users ways to minimize the chrome without hiding it all.

See More Website, Less Safari

With Safari on the Mac, some controls can be hidden to allow more room for content while keeping the tab bar visible. Under the View menu, there are options to show or hide the favorites bar and sidebar. Full screen can be accessed from this menu as well. Reader mode, also found there, offers a different type of content viewing that hides ads and removes the website's styling, instead formatting the page in a narrow column with a large font. For anyone looking for a distraction-free view of an article, going to Reader and full screen displays the words and photos in a minimalist fashion. For those running macOS Monterey , opening preferences from the Safari menu and choosing compact tabs will merge the search field and the tab bar together, an easy way to gain vertical space, which is tight on a MacBook, but might be less of an issue on a desktop Mac.

Another way to view more of a website on a Mac computer is to zoom out, which is easily accomplished by holding the command key and tapping the minus key. Zooming back in is done with a combination of command and equals key, which is the same key used for the plus sign but there is no need to hold the shift key. Command plus the zero key restores the zoom level to normal. Zooming affects both text, images and other graphics on a page and Safari remembers the zoom level set for each website, so upon returning it will default to the magnification used at the last visit, which is a nice touch by Apple . If there is a need to reduce images and graphics on a website, but keep text readable, under the advanced preferences pane, there is an option to set a minimum font size. Apple's Safari offers several ways to customize the view of a website to help the user see more of the content and less of the browser.

Radiators fail once more: Moscow suburbs residents appeal to Putin

R esidents across the Moscow suburbs are besieged by a heating problem, for which they plead direct intervention from President Vladimir Putin. These individuals have yet to experience any semblance of home heating since winter started due to a dwindling supply of heating oil. The issue, one largely avoided by local authority communication, has left residents desperate to the point of directly appealing to the president.

While plots have been uncovered to disrupt Ukraine's infrastructure for a second consecutive winter, thus depriving civilians of heating, it seems Russians are now mired in their crisis. Irony drips from the fact that those under Putin's leadership are looking to cause turmoil in Ukraine, yet at home, they face a similar predicament.

Many dwellings within the Moscow agglomeration are presently without heat. The capital's residents are desperate, directly appealing to President Putin due to a perceived lack of alternate avenues for assistance. The absence of suitable heating functionality since winter commenced pushes them towards desperation with no relief in sight.

This seems improbable, but in Russia, it appears that anything can happen.

It remains uncertain if Vladimir Putin is actively addressing the heating crisis. Some experts suggest that Russia's heating oil reserves are depleting, which negatively affects residents' quality of life. Plagued by cold radiators and plummeting winter temperatures, these citizens have directly addressed their pleas to their head of state.

This heating crisis is happening in Elektrostal, a town approximately 71 miles from Moscow.

Ironically, Russia has constantly aimed to destroy the Ukrainian infrastructure since war broke out, deliberately trying to leave Ukrainians without heating during the harsh winters, aiming to break their strong will. It's an irony they now struggle with a domestic heating crisis, particularly near Moscow, their largest and most pivotal city.

Desperate individuals are reaching out to Vladimir Putin. They question his knowledge of the heating infrastructure conditions in the Moscow suburbs and the dire situations residents face there. Sundown brings no relief from the harsh Russian winter and without heating, their houses turn cold. With elections nearing, more and more residents find themselves reaching out directly to their president.

"Since winter's start, we've been without heating. This has been a yearly occurrence for the past three years. Despite paying for heating, we don't have enough. We implore you, help us!" - these are the desperate pleas from the heavily dressed populace dealing with the Russian winter conditions.

Experts attribute the heating oil shortage to international sanctions and surging demands for diesel fuel, pivotal to military operations. Russia now grapples with a dearth of raw materials essential for boiler and heating plant operation. As supplies dwindle, houses grow cold with little hope of any immediate corrective intervention.

It would be adequate if the war ceased, residents were prioritized, and attention accorded to their welfare.
