Species 116 - Delta Quadrant [ ]

Species 116 displayed an aptitude for "seeing patterns where others see only confusion" allowing them to notice patterns of all forms and precisely extrapolate that pattern further which enabled them to learn the correct grammar and syntax of entire languages after only hearing a few phrases. Other forms of patterns such as encryption algorithms were also very easy for this race to decipher.

Species 116 utilized a propulsion system named a Quantum Slipstream which enabled them to "avoid the storm on the horizon" and outrun the Borg for centuries before the Borg became more and more capable of pursuing the vessels due to the assimilation of Transwarp technology , expanding and assimilating the surrounding systems until finally the species were cornered in their own space. (VOY - "Hope and Fear"). Then the Species 8472 war broke out between the Collective, Species 116 saw this as their last hope that the Borg would be destroyed before the U.S.S. Voyager aided the Borg against the invaders for their own personal gain. (VOY - "Scorpion"). Due to their assistance, the Borg defeated species 8472 and assimilated all but 10,000 members of species 116 which held Voyager accountable for the destruction of their race as the Collective continued to expand and finally surrounded their system with hundreds of cubes (VOY - "Hope and Fear").

Arturis, a member of species 116

Species 125 - Delta Quadrant [ ]

This is the species from which the Borg Queen herself originates, the species possessed an over-sized cranial region exhibiting telepathy and extraordinary mental processing capacity. When they are sufficiently challenged enough to be required to give their tasks a degree of attention, they will twitch their heads and when extremely challenged they will focus by closing their eyes.

Borg Queen, a member of species 125.

Species 149 [ ]

Species 149 was regarded as a medically technologically advanced species. The Borg assimilated knowledge involving nanoprobes for the reanimation of a lifeform as long as 73 hours following death. Provided the neural pathways are intact, 70 micrograms of nanoprobes which are pre-modified to the specific subject's physiology are sufficient to reverse cellular necrosis while the cerebral cortex is stimulated with a neural electric isopulse at 1 second intervals, Nanoprobes can compensate for any cellular degradation after the technique is completed. However, the subject requires regular doses of additional modified nanoprobes until the victim's cells are capable of functioning on their own (VOY - "Mortal Coil").

Species 180 - Ferengi - Alpha Quadrant [ ]

Species 180 name themselves as Ferengi. Ferengi were encountered early by the Collective. However, why a vessel belonging to a race originating in the Alpha Quadrant was found in the Delta Quadrant remains a mystery.

Ferengi. Species 180

Species 218 - Talaxian - Delta Quadrant [ ]

Species 218 name themselves as Talaxians. The Collective assimilated a small freighter belonging to Species 218 in the Dalmine Sector, assimilating the crew of 39. Their dense musculature made them excellent tactical drones. (VOY - "The Raven")

Neelix, Talaxian, Species 218

Species 259 [ ]

Species 259 are an advanced omnicordial lifeform which inhabited Galactic Cluster 3. The species numbered some 22 billion when they were assimilated and had developed an advanced pattern-duplication design that was later incorporated into Borg autonomous regeneration sequencer technology.

Species 262 [ ]

Deemed to be a relatively primitive species by Borg standards, following their assimilation in the 22nd century. Their mythology referred to a substance which could "burn the sky". The Borg were intrigued and later discovered it to be a reference to the Particle 010 (Omega Molecule)

Species 263 [ ]

Deemed to be a relatively primitive species by Borg standards, Species 263 was the second in a series of thirteen species assimilated in the pursuit of attaining any and all information relative to Particle 010. In the mythology of the species, they believed the molecule to be a drop of blood from their creator.

Species 312 [ ]

Species 312 was a race assimilated by the Borg before 2374 possessing advanced tetryon-based energy barrier technology. Sometime before their assimilation, the race constructed an energy barrier around the planet Ledos in the Delta Quadrant. This was several hundred years before 2377, to protect the primitive race on the surface from the interference of other warp capable species.

Species 329 - Kazon - Delta Quadrant [ ]

Species 329 name themselves as Kazon, a relatively primitive, yet warp-capable species with a limited understanding of the technology in their possession which they gained control of after conquering their former oppressors. Their technology and biological lifeform was deemed unworthy of assimilation.

Species 407 [ ]

A species named the Lennli.

Species 521 - Delta Quadrant [ ]

A humanoid species native to the Delta Quadrant.

Species 571 - Delta Quadrant [ ]

A humanoid race based in the Delta Quadrant which according to their own established mythology worship the god Brothera. The species was assimilated sometime before 2369 after-which three drones escaped from a Borg Sphere which crashed landed on Planet 1865-Alpha severing the three drones from the Collective mind.

Species 689 - Norcadian - Delta Quadrant [ ]

Species 689 name themselves Norcadian, an advanced humanoid species native to the Delta Quadrant and the planet Norcadia Prime. This species hosts a violent sport named Tsunkatse.

Norcadian, Species 689

Species 2000 - Cardassian - Alpha Quadrant [ ]

Species 2000 name themselves Cardassian, a warp-capable species native to the Alpha Quadrant and the planet Cardassia Prime. Known to be highly xenophobic and ruthless.

Cardassian, Species 2000

Species 2461 - Brunali - Delta Quadrant [ ]

Brunali were once a standard space faring species. However, following the Borg constructing a transwarp conduit directly to their homeworld, they became subject to frequent attacks by vessels passing by. Following this, the species returned to a low state of technology with all of their remaining technology hidden beneath the surface. No longer possessing advanced space faring weaponry, the Brunali turned to their skills in genetic technology. Engineering a number of their children with an anti-Borg pathogen encoded in their DNA, they used their children as weapons, sending them towards their nearby transwarp conduit for the purpose of infecting Borg vessels.

Distinctive Technology: The Brunali Pathogen - upon assimilation, the pathogen kills every drone aboard the vessel, the pathogen is, however, unable to cross the defenses of the Vinculum which prevents it from infecting the entire Collective. Vessels infected with pathogens of this nature are disconnected from the Hive Mind.

Brunali, Species 2461

Species 3105 - Rhawn [ ]

Species 3259 - vulcan - alpha quadrant [ ].

The Vulcan species are primarily pacifists by nature. Although space-faring, they maintain a strong connection to their established religion. The species is most notable for their extremely developed mental abilities and touch-telepathy.

Vulcan, Species 3259

Species 3783 - Romulan - Alpha Quadrant [ ]

Romulan, Species 3783

Species 4228 - Hazari - Delta Quadrant [ ]

The Hazari are a race of bounty hunters in the Delta Quadrant. Their physiology made excellent tactical drones.

Species 4774 - Skedan [ ]

Species 5008 - klingon - alpha quadrant [ ].

Klingon, Species 5008

Species 5174 - Delta Quadrant [ ]

A race native to the Delta Quadrant, the Borg once encountered a small vessel belonging to the species. The crew onboard had been eviscerated, the Borg considered the matter irrelevant and did not investigate further. It was later revealed the Hirogen were responsible.

Species 5618 - Human - Alpha Quadrant [ ]

An unremarkable race in terms of biological distinctiveness, possessing below-average cranial capacity, minimal redundant systems and limited regenerative abilities. Humans are, however, technologically advanced. They are also the founding race of the United Federation of Planets, an alliance of 150 races spanning 8,000 lightyears. Humans are considered by the Borg to be a highly resistant species. Several direct attempts to assimilate the species have failed (Star Trek: First Contact, TNG - "Best of Both Worlds") The Borg are currently developing a new method of assimilation via a nanoprobe virus.

Seven Of Nine, liberated from the collective.

Species 5973 [ ]

Species 5973 is the designation for a multispectral particle lifeform native to Galactic Cluster 8.

Species 6291 - Yridian - Alpha & Beta Quadrants [ ]

Yridians are renowned information merchants native to the Alpha and Beta Quadrants.

Species 6339 - Grid 124, Octant 22-Theta [ ]

Species 6339 are a humanoid, warp-capable species originating in Grid 124, Octant 22-theta. The Borg encountered the species in 2371. By 2375, the Collective had assimilated over eleven billion individuals. Due to their partial extinctions as a result of the Bor g, Species 6339 maintained extremely well-armed vessels, possessing over 22 phaser cannons on their aft sections alone. In 2375, the Borg detected a shuttle craft belonging to Species 6339 possessing 13 lifeforms aboard. A cube was dispatched to intercept and assimilate the vessel. However, Species 6339 had developed and infected the lifeforms with a synthetic pathogen designed to attack the programming of a Borg vessel's vinculum causing it to malfunction. Due to the malfunctioning vinculums, the drones on-board developed a form of multiple-personality disorder and partial insanity resulting in the destruction of the Borg cube. Each Borg vessel which attempted to retrieve the vinculum would also be affected, which Species 6339 hoped would result in the eventual destruction of hundreds of vessels (VOY "Infinite Regress").

Species 6961 - Katarian [ ]

Species 8472 - fluidic space [ ].

Species 8472 is regarded by the Borg as the ultimate form of biological evolution, they are a space-faring, telepathic, extremely xenophobic, non-humanoid species originating from an extradimensional realm named Fluidic Space. All of their technology is organic and is immune to all forms of technology such as: Borg nanoprobes, sensors, tractor beams, and transporter beams. They possess a triple-helix DNA coding making them the most densely-coded lifeform ever encountered.

A member of Species 8472.

Species 10026 [ ]

Species 10026 is the Borg designation for a warp-capable species whose homeworld was assimilated by the Borg in 2375 resulting in the assimilation of 392,000 lifeforms and 39 vessels. The Queen dispatched two Borg cubes and accompanied them within her own personal diamond. Initially, species 10026 dispatched vessels to intercept and combat the Borg using their modulating phaser pulse which allowed them to successfully damage Borg vessels. The Borg Queen was able to adapt easily by triaxilating the Borg vessels' shield geometry to absorb the phaser pulses. However, she allowed the vessels to attack her Diamond until her shields almost failed in an effort to provoke 7 of 9's assistance in adapting, and ultimately assimilating, the species.

Species 125

species 125 star trek wiki

Species 125 is the Borg designation for a species as yet unknown to the Federation outside of the Collective. However, it is likely that this species has been completely assimilated.

The Borg Queen, as of 2375, was a member of Species 125 before being assimilated, and thereby had the body of a female of this species prior to having a cybernetic body constructed for her.

There are faint horizontal lines on the Borg Queen's neck. This may either be a species characteristic or a Borg neck implant.

The Borg are a mysterious pseudo-race of cybernetic beings, or cyborgs, from the Delta Quadrant. No truly single individual exists within the Borg Collective (with the possible sole exception of the Borg Queen), as they are linked into a hive mind. Their ultimate goal is perfection through the forcible assimilation of diverse sapient species, technologies, and knowledge. As a result, they are among the most powerful and feared races in the galaxy.

Biology [ ]

Borg-cube

A Borg Cube, the preferred means of transportation for the Borg

The biology of each Borg drone varies according to the species from which it was assimilated. Drones are typically humanoid, although the Collective has demonstrated a willingness to assimilate non-humanoid life forms and even non-corporeal beings can be assimilated with varying levels of success. The non-corporeal Medusan species are suseptable to assimilation although with enough effort can resist the Collective, it is unknown if the omnipotent Q species can be assimilated although they do seem to consider the Borg far from harmless. Some species such as Species 8472 (Undine) are able to resist assimilation due to their advanced immune systems and bio-technology.

Upon assimilation, a drone will cease to grow body hair and develop an ashen, grayish skin coloration, ignoring original skin pigmentation. Cybernetic implants will be either surgically attached to the body or grown internally by nanoprobes injected into the bloodstream. The nature of these implants varies from drone to drone, depending on its intended function, but basic nodes of cordical, interlink & cortical array are implemented in every drone. In certain cases, parts of the body such as an eye or an arm will be amputated altogether to make room for the cybernetics. The implants of a fully assimilated drone allow it to function for extended periods without shelter, food, water, or even air. A drone's only requirement will be a supply of energy to maintain the implants that in turn maintain its biological functions. This energy is supplied during regeneration cycles within a Borg alcove. Upon receiving damage, a drone will return to the cove for assessment of the damage. Severely damaged drones will be disassembled and scavenged for reusable parts.

Borg drones are equipped with a myriad of technologies integrated into their bodies which enable them to perform their duties within the Collective, several of which are universal to all drones. A neural transceiver keeps them connected to the hive mind. A personal force field protects each drone from most energy-based attacks. As of 2373, each drone possesses a pair of assimilation tubules embedded in one hand for the purpose of instantly injecting individuals with Borg nanoprobes. A cortical processor allows a drone to rapidly assimilate visual information. Borg drones are also equipped with a neural processor, which keeps a record of every instruction that particular Borg receives from the collective hive mind. Captain Picard used this processor to discover the Borg were attempting to use the Enterprise-E deflector dish as an Interplexing Beacon to contact the Borg in 2063.

Drones also contain fail safes designed to deactivate and even vaporize their own bodies, thereby allowing the Collective to eliminate damaged or dead drones without leaving remains to be exploited by outsiders. The captured drone Third of Five also made comments indicating that this vaporization may have been a form of resource reabsorption. One of these failsafes is intended to automatically deactivate drones experiencing strong emotional states, which the Borg interpret as a sign of disconnection from the hive mind.

With the destruction of the Borg collective link by the USS Voyager, several Borg cubes spread across space, freeing the assimilated species to have a new chance of independent life in individuality, as in the case of the Borg cube of 10 of 5 group, the designation of Hugh, found and dominated by the Romulans as advanced base, under the orders of a secret militia within the Starfleet.

The Borg Queen is just a robotic clone synthetic of several queens of a species that was taken advantage of by the Borg by (species 125), whose long skull makes it possible to store thousands of data, species 125, before, she was the a only surviving female refugee from an extinct planet by asteroid fall, found by the Borgs still in the Delta quadrant by signal positronic of help through of lab her, and assimilated after about 300 years ago, when the Borg had only one collectivity among them, in search of a leadership that would guide the entire collectivity the evolution of perfection between them.

Although a person assimilated into the borg becomes a drone, it is possible for a drone to gain a sense of individuality if they are separated from the Borg queen for a long enough period of time.

Queen4

A Borg Queen

The most notable case of this are Seven of Nine and Jean-Luc Picard. A particularly interesting case was Hugh , who not only developed a sense of individuality but also managed to spread it among other borg drones.

Technology [ ]

The Borg are extremely advanced, having assimilated over a thousand species, they have mastered many areas of technological development, including interstellar communication, nano-technology, but more importantly, they have a complete mastery of transwarp technology and mild time-travel capabilities, their transwarp tech is enviable, and their vast network of gateways, jump-points, and nexuses, spans nearly the entire galaxy. They utilise Tritanium as a standard construction material, making their ships and complexes extremely durable allowing them to survive unpowered atmospheric entries and mass weapons fire.

Borg Medical drones include multiple scanners and equipment to repair damaged units while Tactical Drones have Tritanium Plating Combat Sensors and forearm disruptors. Borg Vessels are decentralised allowing them to ramain active with heavy damage and are repaired by thousands of automated Repair Robots. Transwarp Conduits are able to deliver ships across quadrants within hours and most Borg Ships have auxiliary craft, ranging from docked Spheres, Scouts and Probes. Entire planets can be Assimilated by introducing a Nanorobe Virus into their atmosphere infecting all biological lifeforms, hijacking computer systems, re-engineering structures and terraforming the crust within days.

History [ ]

The early history of the collective has been mostly lost to time, their origins laying 'thousands of centuries' in the past, what we do know is that they originated in the Milky Way's Delta Quadrant, and by the time of the Vaadwaur , they had only assimilated a few systems.

The first encounter between the Borg Collective and Earth was in 2035 AD, though the Borg who encountered Earth did come from Earth's future following official first contact, just don't think about it too hard, anyhow the future Enterprise crew managed to crash the Borg ship over Antarctica, narrowly preventing the botching of first contact between Humans and Vulcans.

True first contact between the Borg and the UFP was made by Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the U.S.S. Enterprise when he was visited by Q , who decided to introduce him to the true unknown dangers of the galaxy. He used his powers to move the Enterprise into an uncharted region of space, where the crew of the Enterprise confronted a Borg Cube. the crew came in to contact with the Borg many times. On one occasion, there was a transporter accident which merged 7of 9's nanoprobes with the Doctor's mobile emitter and some D.N.A from a crewman, which created a Borg drone with the technological level of the 29th century. However, it committed suicide in an attempt to stop his 29th century technology to fall into the wrong hands.

The Borgs existence comes from a chance meeting between an advanced race called the Caeliar and a federation vessel captained by Erica Hernandez. When the Caeliar captured the vessel they held the crew hostage because of their fear of being exposed due to the highly advanced technology they wished to keep secret. Some of the crew caused a catastrophe on one of the Caeliar's planet ships causing some of the crew and some of the Caeliar to crash land on a planet back in time (4000 years back). The caeliar who relied on a power source from their home started to die, in an effort for survival they absorbed themselves into the few remaining humans that had survived the crash and thus the first Borg were created. The nano probes that are used by the Borg were a crude replica of 'catoms' which were far more advanced and made up the Caeliar. Unfortunately the only essence left of the Caeliar in the new Borg drones was the quest for perfection and all the advanced civilization lessons the Caeliar had learnt was lost in the new drones. Eventually after a massive Borg attack on the federation caused the Caeliar( who had been hidden for centuries) to show themselves and eventually realising they were to blame for the existence of the Borg, decided to transform all the Borg back to their original forms and invite all the x drones to join them in one peaceful civilization. Most joined and the Caeliar departed for good with their new population. Seven of nine having still some Borg technology, was also given a chance to join but decided to remain with the federation.

Borgqueen

The Borg Queen.

The Borg Queen is the apparent leader of the Borg Collective . Throughout the history of the Borg there have been a number of queens who seem to take on the same character, perhaps indicating the Queen is a persona within the collective which could, in theory, occupy any number of different drone bodies.

Biography [ ]

Creation [ ].

There are a number of accounts as to how the Borg Queen came into being. Due to time loops and temporal revision resulting from time travel and causality, it is difficult to determine a linear order for which origin might have preceded the others.

The beginning [ ]

The Borg Queen was subject of a world that had been struck down by a deadly disease, which was slowly killing much of the population. The scientists on the planet developed bio-organic regenerators , a nanotechnology which would be injected into a subject's circulatory system, eradicate the disease and rebuild the patients crippled body. The Queen to be, in very ill health, was selected to be the subject of the first experiment. It was successful in eliminating the disease but also began to change her, making her stronger than ever before, replacing her broken body with technology and giving her drive and determination to share her gift with others and make them as perfect as her superior self had become. The establishment attempted to resist but the Queen was not willing to let herself be destroyed and instinctively used the nanoprobes to assimilate others. She quickly led her drones in assimilating the entire planet and set to work to spread her gift to the rest of the galaxy. ( Strange New Worlds VI short story : " The Beginning ")

Side effects [ ]

Alternatively: The Borg Queen was originally a woman named Danzek , (or Asil *), who was the daughter of a scientist named Mynzek . Mynzek, with the aim of finding a cure for a terrible disease established a research base near the event horizon of a black hole . He sent ships out via a series of wormholes to capture subjects and run experiments on them in the search for a cure. Using the gravitational time dilation effect of the black hole he could coordinate centuries of research being conducted on the ships, which for those on the base took only days. Danzek was the guinea pig for these experiments on one ship, integrated with technology and biological components from numerous races she became powerful and returned to the station controlling a group of drone-like test subjects. After a brief confrontation in which the station was destroyed, Danzek, queen of her subjects escaped through a wormhole, which thanks to the temporal distortion generated by the exploding station could have sent here anywhere in space and time. ( TOS comic : " Side Effects ")

The Vulcan Commander T'Uerell engaged in a mind meld with the Borg and discovered that the Collective was created by the probe V'Ger to serve as its heralds. During the Collective's development, it was discovered that females of certain species possessed a mental prowess and were capable of sifting through the endless amounts of information. These would become the first Borg Queens. However, the development of the Queen resulted in an entity that sought its own objectives and eventually abandoned the goals set forth by V'Ger. ( ST video game : Legacy )

Destiny [ ]

A species known as the Caeliar lived on the planet Erigol , having long ago harnessed claytronic atoms , programmable matter able to be controlled via a hive mentality . The Caeliar dedicated their lives to a Great Work , hoping to find the next evolutionary step for them. However, a deliberately malicious feedback pulse destabilized their Work and their solar system, forcing the evacuation of their cities. One of the cities, Mantilis was thrown through a subspace tunnel into the far past . The few Earth Starfleet officers who survived decided to make their living separate from the Caeliar, but were eventually forced to return. One Caeliar remained alive, Sedín , who merged with the three remaining humans, one of whom was Kiona Thayer who became the precursor to the first Borg Queen. ( ST - Destiny novels : Gods of Night , Lost Souls )

The Borg Queen who succeeded in traveling back to 2063 and assimilating Earth had no memory of the name Sedín when confronted by the Jean-Luc Picard of the First Splinter timeline , indicating this origin was specific to only that reality, or possibly that circumstances had caused memory of that to be purged from her alternate timeline version of the Collective. ( ST - Coda novel : Oblivion's Gate )

Purpose [ ]

Borg Queen connection

Borg Queen connectivity.

The Queen appears to lead the Borg, having total control over the entire Collective, however it is possible she acts as a figure head, a voice for the Collective, much like Locutus . When it appears she is ordering the Collective she may simply be enacting the Collective's will. As the Queen is also part of the collective it may be possible she stands in the mid ground, part of Collective decision but filtering out the best ideas herself, bringing "order to chaos". ( TNG movie & novelization : First Contact , et al.) Should the Borg Queen die, any drones under her command would be forced to enter hibernation. ( TNG video game : Armada II )

History [ ]

Borg Queen 2376

For years, the Queen selected industrial age worlds and did not assimilate them, but instead gave a select few on these planets technology, advancing the cultures dramatically over a small time period. Among these inhabited worlds were those of Species 642, Narisia , and 1429, a planet which later developed methods of traveling through time in starships. When either the species made significant progress towards something useful or lost their usefulness to her purposes, the Queen severed the assistance and cut off their links. ( ST novel : Engines of Destiny )

In 2367 , the Borg Queen was aboard a Borg cube that was sent to assimilate the planet Earth . Starfleet attempted to amass a fleet at Wolf 359 , which was devastated using the knowledge gained from Locutus of Borg , the assimilated form of USS Enterprise -D Captain Jean-Luc Picard . Although the cube was destroyed over Earth, the Queen was able to escape, either in body or mind, and was present when the Borg again attempted to assimilate Earth in 2373 . This time, the USS Enterprise -E and the USS Defiant were among the fleet that destroyed the cube in the Sol system. The Enterprise -E was drawn into a temporal vortex as a Borg sphere attempted to travel back in time so that the Queen could warn herself of the resistance put up by the fleet. Instead, the time travel technology threw the sphere and Enterprise back to 2063, where the Starfleet crew was able to prevent the Borg from assimilating the Enterprise and Earth, preventing the warp drive that led to the first contact between Humans and Vulcans . ( TNG episode : " The Best of Both Worlds ", TNG movie : First Contact ; ST novel : Engines of Destiny )

In an alternate timeline where Montgomery Scott rescued James T. Kirk before he could be absorbed into the Nexus , the Enterprise -E did not exist, and thus the Queen traveled back in time and was not defeated as before. She and her drones assimilated Earth, erected a sensor barrier around the Sol system, and then methodically proceeded to assimilate surrounding worlds; she also reactivated links to her subject worlds. However, a time traveling Enterprise -D wound up in 2293, which the Queen became aware of through a Narisian named Balitor . The Queen possessed her body and attempted to attack and kill Picard, but was unsuccessful, and she terminated all Narisians linked to the Collective. The Queen was able to then control a Borg cube and eventually destroy the Enterprise , but her existence and that of her timeline ceased to exist when Picard was able to return Kirk to the Nexus. ( ST novel : Engines of Destiny )

By 2375 the Borg Queen was a member of Species 125 . ( VOY episode : " Dark Frontier ")

First Splinter timeline [ ]

The First Splinter timeline which diverged from the " prime" version of reality in the 2380s decade would see two different Queens, perhaps owing to causality of some notable time travel events. The first was created aboard a Borg Cube in Sector 10 . The creation process was, however, halted by the crew of the USS Enterprise -E a short time after coming online. ( TNG novel : Resistance ) Later, the Borg would capture and assimilate Admiral Kathryn Janeway - making her into a replacement Queen. She would be destroyed after being infected by Project: Endgame. ( TNG novel : Before Dishonor )

A new Borg Queen was created, and as soon as she emerged from her chrysalis, she had two objectives - destroy Earth and crush the Federation. Since the Borg believed that they could no longer gain anything by assimilating Earth, they would instead destroy it; thus, the Collective launched their invasion in 2381 , and the new Borg Queen utilized the connection to the former drone Locutus to taunt him. She also oversaw the invasion forces, moving between vessels and not allowing former drone Seven of Nine to lock onto her position. Due to the former Earth Starfleet Captain Erika Hernandez being infused with Caeliar catoms , she was able to listen in on the Borg Collective and locate the Queen as she led an armada to attack the planet Deneva . Noting the similarities between the voice of the collective and the Caeliar gestalt , Hernandez and the USS Aventine attacked and boarded a Borg scout craft to secure its vinculum to control the Collective via Hernandez. Although Hernandez was able to cause the collective to turn on itself for a short period, the Queen transferred her presence to that ship and assaulted the remaining crew, and regained control of her forces, causing them to sleep and regenerate quickly. After the Caeliar city ship of Axion came to the Azure Nebula to lure the invading Borg Collective there with its Omega molecule generator , the Queen overrode all other objectives and had the entire fleet move to the nebula. Once there, Hernandez presented herself for assimilation to act as a link between the Caeliar and the Queen, allowing them to reach past and find the remains of Sedín, which they dissolved along with the Collective. ( ST - Destiny novels : Gods of Night , Mere Mortals , Lost Souls )

Other alternate realities [ ]

A Borg Queen in an alternate reality created by changes made to history by Q in the 2020s decade was encountered by Jean-Luc Picard . This Queen was coerced into assisting Picard's crew into creating time travel computations to undo Q's meddling. She died in the past, in 2024 , but lived on through a mental link with Agnes Jurati , who became assimilated as a new Queen who would be encountered by Starfleet in the year 2400. Species Specifications

From star trek: theurgy wiki.

species 125 star trek wiki

These are the specifications for species of the Star Trek: Theurgy story. Most are non- canon , but necessity begs to add detail to some canon ones as well, like the Andorians .

GM note: no one species can or will be the MacGuffin to solve the Theurgy problems , just as no one crewmate will act as the singular catalyst to turn the tide. If a writer chooses to use one of the Theurgy-original species, they must bear this fact in mind when writing that species character. Similarly, if writers have a new species concept, they may contact the GM to discuss the plausibility of it coming to life in the story (as most of these were at one time nonexistent, do not hesitate to share creative ideas).

Star Trek: Enterprise Cast & Character Guide

Star trek: discovery proves ds9's dominion war still matters 800 years later, star trek: discovery season 5 episode 7 ending explained.

WARNING: Contains SPOILERS for Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 6, "Whistlespeak".

  • "Star Trek: Discovery season 5 uncovers the vital role of Denobulans in Starfleet's future with Dr. Kreel's involvement in the Progenitors' treasure."
  • "Entry of Dr. Kreel continues the legacy of Enterprise's Dr. Phlox, highlighting the importance of the Denobulans in the Federation's history."
  • "Dr. Kreel's name check in Star Trek: Discovery reaffirms the presence of Denobulans in the 24th century, bridging the gap between Enterprise and the future."

Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 6, "Whistlespeak" reveals that Star Trek: Enterprise 's Denobulan species, popularized by Dr Phlox (John Billingsley), played a hugely important role in the future of Starfleet and the Federation. The latest clue to the Progenitors' treasure is located on the planet Halem'no, a pre-warp planet which has been given a subtle helping hand from the Denobulans. Discovery season 5, episode 6 , written by Kenneth Lin and Brandon Schultz, and directed by Chris Byrne, reveals that Denobulan scientist Dr. Hitoroshi Kreel was one of the five scientists who hid the Progenitors' treasure 800 years ago.

Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 6's revelations about the Progenitors' treasure and its link to the Denobulans is a welcome reminder of the species. Star Trek 's most notable Denobulan, Dr Phlox, was a hugely important figure in the 22nd century, serving as chief medical officer aboard the first version of the starship Enterprise . Phlox's adventures on the Enterprise NX-01 helped to establish the rules of the Federation that are still followed almost a millenia later in Discovery season 5. Discovery 's new Denobulan, Dr. Kreel, therefore, continues the legacy of Enterprise 's Phlox .

Star Trek: Enterprise introduced new faces to the prequel series set a century before the events of Star Trek: The Original Series.

Why It Matters Star Trek: Discovery’s Dr. Kreel Is Denobulan Like Enterprise’s Dr. Phlox

The Denobulans were one of several alien species introduced in Star Trek: Enterprise , and were popularized by the character of Phlox. Because Enterprise was canceled , and there were no Denobulan characters seen in Star Trek 's 24th century , there was a risk that the species may have faded into obscurity. Star Trek: Discovery 's Dr. Kreel is proof that the Denobulans were alive and well in the 24th century, and still played a vital role in the affairs of the United Federation of Planets. There is no better example of this than the Federation President's decision to recruit a Denobulan scientist for their top secret Progenitors mission.

Although Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 6, doesn't feature Dr. Kreel on screen, he's still an affirmation of Enterprise 's big additions to the canon of Star Trek aliens . The other alien scientists searching for the Progenitors' treasure were all members of iconic species who have played integral roles in shows like the Betazoids from Star Trek: The Next Generation and the Trills from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine . It's fitting, therefore, that one of Star Trek: Enterprise 's Denobulans is also part of this vitally important research group.

Other Denobulans Besides Enterprise’s Dr. Phlox In Star Trek

Although sightings of the Denobulans are rare outside Star Trek: Enterprise , Doctors Phlox and Kreel aren't the only Denobulans who have appeared in the wider franchise . In Star Trek: Lower Decks season 2, episode 4, "Mugato, Gumato", two Denobulan researchers are attacked by a Mugato. In Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2, episode 3, "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow", a Denobulan cadet accuses the Enterprise's transporter chief of stealing a ring, a dispute broken up by Lt. La'an Noonien Singh (Christina Chong).

Most notably, Lt. Barniss Frex (Eric Bauza) from Star Trek: Prodigy was the first commissioned Denobulan Starfleet officer depicted on screen. The unfortunate Denobulan became a victim of Prodigy 's Vau N'Akat villains and their Living Construct weapon when the crew of the USS Protostar visited the subspace relay station CR-721. However, Frex blamed the young Protostar crew for his misfortune when he was recovered by Admiral Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) and the USS Dauntless. Hopefully, Star Trek: Discovery 's Denobulan scientist will lead to further appearances from Dr. Phlox's species in Star Trek 's future.

Star Trek: Discovery season 5 streams Thursdays on Paramount+.

Star Trek: Discovery

*Availability in US

Not available

Star Trek: Discovery is an entry in the legendary Sci-Fi franchise, set ten years before the original Star Trek series events. The show centers around Commander Michael Burnham, assigned to the USS Discovery, where the crew attempts to prevent a Klingon war while traveling through the vast reaches of space.

Star Trek: Enterprise

Star Trek: Enterprise acts as a prequel to Star Trek: The Original Series, detailing the voyages of the original crew of the Starship Enterprise in the 22nd century, a hundred years before Captain Kirk commanded the ship. Enterprise was the sixth series in the Star Trek franchise overall, and the final series before a twelve-year hiatus until the premiere of Star Trek: Discovery in 2017. The series stars Scott Bakula as Captain Jonathan Archer, with an ensemble cast that includes John Billingsley, Jolene Blalock, Dominic Keating, Anthony Montgomery, Linda Park, and Connor Trinneer.

Star Trek: Lower Decks

"Star Trek: Lower Decks" focuses on the support crew serving on one of Starfleet's least important ships, the USS Cerritos, in 2380. Ensigns Mariner, Boimler, Rutherford and Tendi must keep up with their duties and their social lives, often while the ship is being rocked by a multitude of sci-fi anomalies. The ship's bridge crew includes Captain Carol Freeman, Commander Jack Ransom, Lieutenant Shaxs and Doctor T'Ana. This is the second animated spin-off in the franchise after 1973-74's "Star Trek: The Animated Series," but has a decidedly more adult tone and humor.

Star Trek: Prodigy

Star Trek: Prodigy is the first TV series in the Star Trek franchise marketed toward children, and one of the few animated series in the franchise. The story follows a group of young aliens who find a stolen Starfleet ship and use it to escape from the Tars Lamora prison colony where they are all held captive. Working together with the help of a holographic Captain Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew), the new crew of the USS Protostar must find their way back to the Alpha Quadrant to warn the Federation of the deadly threat that is pursuing them.

Species 10026

  • View history

The inhabitants of that world sent their vessels to intercept the Borg when they began assimilation. At first Species 10026 used a modulating phaser pulse to successfully damage the Borg attackers. With Seven of Nine 's help, the Borg Queen triaxilated the Borg ship's shield geometry to absorb the pulses, thus ending the chances of a defense for the species.

Witnessed by former Borg drone Seven of Nine , the entire species was assimilated by drones from two Borg cubes . With Seven's help, one ship with four individuals (including one partially-assimilated individual) escaped the devastation, but was noticed by the Borg Queen. It was caught in a tractor beam , but was eventually released after Seven pleaded with the Queen. ( VOY : " Dark Frontier ")

    4. Here is my guess about species 125. The Queen probably didn't exist until species 125 was assimilated, but given what is stated in Star Trek Legacy (they don't identify them as species 125, but it's pretty clear that they are 125) they were assimilated into the collective to give the Borg more extended control due to their mental abilities ...
