I’ve collected some of the best travel songs from the 1930s until today in this list. Musical genres range from pop and dance to rock, punk, and many others. So no matter what type of music you like, there should be something in it for you. The songs in the list below either talk about a place or the experience of travelling.

Jet Set Jams: The 13 Best Songs About Travel

That’s a very different exercise than the best songs for travel , this isn’t a ‘play list for the road’ it’s about borrowing someone else’s poetry to describe the travel experience. There’s no question that George Gershwin didn’t write Rhapsody in Blue to be about travel, but it’s equally clear that the 1924 composition has become inextricably linked with United Airlines.

What songs most evoke travel for you and are missing from my list? Which ones here are new to you?

The 13 best travel songs: Iggy Pop – The Passenger . This 1977 classic resulted from Iggy Pop travelling with David Bowie on tour in North America and Europe. Reportedly he didn’t have a license and the two drove around in Bowie’s car. Although it’s also said to be loosely based on a Jim Morrison poem.

The song features in the trailer for Up in the Air and in promos for Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown . There’s probably nothing more evocative of travel.

Paul Kelly – Sydney from a 727 . I first discovered Australian singer-songwriter Paul Kelly on a visit to my family Down Under over 25 years ago. I was instantly a fan. He’s been a member of the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame for nearly 20 years, though a virtual unknown in the States though he’s toured here.

Listening to Sydney from a 727 (which was also recorded as being from a 747), you can almost picture coming in for approach off the ocean (“I can see Bondi through my window way off to the right”) while capturing the spirit to take off in search of something (“And quit your job on the spot / Bought that ticket yeah spent the lot”). While no song quite captures the landing sequence quite like this one:

And the captain says belt up now we’ll be touching down in ten So I press my seat and I straighten up I fold my tray and I stash my cup As the red roofs are catching the first rays of the morning sun

The Animals – We Gotta Get Out of This Place . It’s an anthem that speaks to almost everyone, because everyone wants change. It was popular with soliders in Vietnam, with high school students who can’t wait to get out on their own, and with travelers who need to travel and feel cooped up when they’re at ‘home’.

The Proclaimers – I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) . As if taking a journey, taking a long arduous journey, to make your way to someone wasn’t enough someone once actually walked 1000 miles to convince his girlfriend to marry him . It turns out the journey wasn’t a real precondition of marriage and she was joking, but he did it anyway.

David Byrne – A Million Miles Away . No, this singer who once led the Talking Heads isn’t talking about what you have to go through to earn lifetime elite status .

But he is singing about the need to get away — travel far, far away — and become someone else, and be seen as someone else (“A toad is a prince in someone else’s eyes And you can’t tell a man by his clothes”).

Simon & Garfunkel – Homeward Bound . Is there any other song that’s truly the business traveler’s anthem? Waking up in the middle of the night, after being on the road for weeks at a time, and wondering what city you’re in you grab your phone because a weather app is on the home screen. And it tells you what city you’re in.

I’m sitting in the railway station. Got a ticket to my destination. On a tour of one-night stands my suitcase and guitar in hand. …Every day’s an endless stream Of cigarettes and magazines. And each town looks the same to me, the movies and the factories And every stranger’s face I see reminds me that I long to be, Homeward bound

Johnny Cash – I’ve Been Everywhere . Originally an Australian country song which named that country’s towns, it’s amazing the song has been made to work for Singapore, Belgium, Canada and any number of other places too.

With all the US cities Johnny Cash has been to — Waterloo, Kalamazoo, Kansas City, Sioux City, Cedar City, Dodge City, what a pity — I hope he’s saved up his miles and points because he could really use an international vacation.

George Gershwin – Rhapsody in Blue . Gershwin’s classic is more United Airlines now than anything else, at least to a traveler. The original composition from the tunnel connecting United’s B and C concourses at Chicago O’Hare is a riff on Rhapsody in Blue .

Phil Collins – Take Me Home . Maybe the song isn’t actually about going home. And maybe it’s a protest song against involuntary confinement in mental institutions. But for me it’s about longing for home, being on the road so long that you can hardly remember it but home is still your true North. (.. But, seriously.)

There’s a fire that’s been burning Right outside my door I can’t see but I feel it And it helps to keep me warm

…So take, take me home ‘Cause I don’t remember

Elvis Costello – Peace Love & Understanding . As I walk through this wicked world, searching for light in the darkness of insanity, I ask myself “Is all hope lost?”

It may not immediately seem like a travel song, but travel is about connecting with and engaging people and culture different from your own and yet building a common bond — of peace, love, and understanding. And it helps that the song was featured in Lost in Translation too.

Frank Sinatra – Come Fly With Me . Come fly with me let’s fly let’s fly away. It spent 5 weeks at number one, and just as I want to claim George Clooney as one of us for Up in the Air we’ve got to lay claim to Sinatra…

Ricky Nelson – Travelin’ Man . This 1961 classic shows its age, there’s no question it objectifies women, the song is about each city in the world in which he has a girl. But he clearly gets around .. to Mexico, Berlin, Hong Kong not to mention Hawaii and Alaska. But since its 1961, there’s no music video so it’s safe for work!

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Around The World (or maybe Aeroplane or Road Trippin’). When I first started thinking about this list it didn’t occur to me that The Red Hot Chili Peppers would be on it, but they have several songs about travel, from the plane to car but Around the World is the most meta and in some sense follows Elvis Costello with lines like “life is beautiful around the world” and indeed it is.

So what am I missing? What belongs on this list?

Another great tune that I have never seen on any “Travel Song” list is “Born to Wander” by the Rare Earth on their 1970 album “Ecology”.

Most Beach Boys songs celebrated the joys of California, but this one heads south to a place “off the Florida Keys” where you can “get away from it all" — Kokomo.

Sadly, Kokomo isn’t a real place, but the relaxed vibe of this song perfectly captures the feeling many of us want when we travel.

2. 'Carolina in My Mind' by James Taylor

James Taylor grew up in North Carolina, and his classic song about escaping back there when life is too tough perfectly captures the allure of his home state. The bridge of the song, “Dark and silent, late last night, I think I might have heard the highway call…” is a familiar feeling to any born traveler.

3. 'Midnight Train to Georgia' by Gladys Knight and the Pips

Continuing our journey through the American South, we’d be remiss if we didn’t reference this iconic song by Ms. Knight and her back-up singers, which manages to refer to both a glorious destination (Georgia, of course) and the means to get there (that midnight train).

It’s probably not possible to take a midnight train to Georgia or much of anywhere else these days, but oh, the harmonies on this song!

4. 'Take Me Home, Country Roads' by John Denver

When we took a poll for favorite songs about specific destinations, this one was mentioned over and over again. And while it’s such an evocative celebration of West Virginia’s natural beauty that it became the state’s official song in 2014, that longing captured in Denver’s voice is really what makes the song universal.

Who of us hasn’t longed to go back “to the place I belong”? By the way, Denver had never even been to West Virginia when he wrote it!

5. 'Sweet Home Alabama' by Lynyrd Skynyrd

Here’s another absolute classic that’s about traveling home, which we defy you not to sing whenever anyone mentions traveling to Alabama.

Not only has this song made iconic appearances in several movies (like Nicole Kidman’s unforgettable dance to it in "To Die For"), it manages to diss to Neil Young, as well. But, oh, that guitar riff! Roll down the windows and turn up the volume…

6. 'California Dreaming' by the Mamas and the Papas

The four-part harmony of the Mamas and the Papas evocatively captures the longing many of us have felt on a dreary day at home, when we’ve dreamt of our packing our bags and heady to more sunny climates immediately.

“If I didn’t tell her,” they sing, “I could leave today.” It’s so tempting.

7. 'I Left My Heart in San Francisco' by Tony Bennett

Bennett is just one of many artists to record this classic, but his version is iconic. The song namechecks quite a few places we wouldn’t mind going – Paris, Rome – but then returns the singer to the best place of all, San Francisco, where the “golden sun will shine for me.”

San Francisco can be pretty grey, actually, but the song still hits the spot. Who of us wouldn’t take a trip to see the Golden Gate Bridge right this very moment?

8. 'I’ve Been to Memphis' by Lyle Lovett

While this song isn’t as well-known as others on the list, it deserves to be. Lyle Lovett released in 1992, but it has the sound of a much older song, the kind Ray Charles might have sung.

Lovett mentions a long list of places he’s been, such as Memphis, El Paso, San Antonio, only to return to his central problem: he loves a woman “what I don't know.”

Anyone who’s spent too much time on the road trying not to think about someone at home will understand.

9. 'April in Paris' by Ella Fitzgerald

Can you put together a road trip playlist and not include some Ella? We certainly can’t. This swinging song evokes springtime in Paris so beautifully, with the lyrics about “chestnuts in blossom” that it takes all of our will power not to buy a ticket for de Gaulle for next spring.

“What have you done to my heart?” Ella asks the city. We totally understand.

10. 'Atlantic City' by Bruce Springsteen

At the opposite end of the music spectrum is this classic rock number. Springsteen makes Atlantic City seem as gritty as can be, between the mobsters, the sketchy boardwalk and the cross-city bus. But still, the song is alluring.

Maybe it’s the promise that if we put “your make up on, put your hair up pretty” we can meet the Boss tonight in Atlantic City? It’s not an offer we’d pass up.

11. 'I Happen to Like New York' by Judy Garland

Look, there are dozens of great songs about New York, from “New York, New York” to “Empire State of Mind,” so we decided to go with a less obvious classic.

Garland’s version of Cole Porter’s song is swell. It manages to mention Hackensack, New Jersey (which is rejected) and a pastrami on rye at the Carnegie Deli (which is celebrated).

As the lyrics inform us, “The more I see New York, the more I think of it.” It’s a sentiment that many of us can agree with wholeheartedly.

12. 'Margaritaville' by Jimmy Buffet

But when the churning energy of cities gets to be too much, you’ll want to head south again, this time to a yet another place in that’s more a state of mind than a geographic location: Margaritaville.

Sometimes trips are really an excuse to waste away, and Buffet’s beloved song perfectly captures that mood. Grab a salt shaker and a bottle, and stay for a while. It’s not like Jimmy’s going to urge you to be more productive.

13. 'Africa' by Toto

We know, it’s already in your head: "dodo dodo dodo dooo." How much this song really has to do with the continent is anyone’s guess, but for many people, this is the song that comes to mind when Africa is mentioned as a travel destination.

The sense of longing and wonder that suffuses it is probably not a bad mindset for a traveler to any destination, but especially to Africa. Bless those rains.

14. 'Back in the U.S.S.R.' by The Beatles

Sure, you technically can’t travel to the U.S.S.R. anymore, but this song is still perfect for a trip to Russia!

The song parodies the Beach Boys’ “California Girls” a bit, with the lyrics like “The Ukraine girls really knock me out,” and the song is just a lot of fun: try to resist singing along to the line: “Georgia on my my my my mind”!

We could only hope a trip to Russia would be this fun!

15. 'America' by Neil Diamond

There are plenty of songs with “America” in the title, too, but we decided that this song by Neil Diamond, which manages somehow to be both a little campy and a little touching, perfectly captured the desire many of us, or our ancestors, felt: to get to the U.S.A. “on the boats and on the planes.”

Sure, the synthesizer is cheesy, but when you think of the amazing travel destinations the States offers, it’s hard not to agree that we’ve all “got a dream to take them there.”

What do we mean by that?

During your travels you will end up in a lot of fun situations.

You will collect memories, and a few songs will take part in it. Then, when you are back home or wherever, you will hear this special song in the radio – and it takes you right back to those fun situations you will cherish forever.

For us, this is for instance “We don’t talk anymore” – we traveled Vietnam for 3 months and some local in every single village, town and city played it at least once. We turned crazy, yet it’s today a part of the experience. Then in Labuan Bajo, while taking the boat cruise around the Komodo National Park, the boat crew only had only one song to play, HIOKO TOBELO 2 – Yopie Latul .

5 Disney songs inspired me to become a world traveler. I've now been to 79 countries on all 7 continents.

I was inspired to become a full-time globe trotter from a young age thanks to classic Disney movies.
My love of "The Lion King" inspired me to go on a safari in Rwanda.
"The Little Mermaid" motivated me to go diving for the first time in Raja Ampat, Indonesia.

In 2015, I ditched a corporate job to be a full-time nomad. I've now been to 79 countries and can trace my passion for travel back to classic Disney movies that inspired my desire to see the world.

Like many kids raised in the '90s, Disney music was my soundtrack of choice for the early years of my life. Some of my happiest childhood memories are the trips my family took to Disneyland and Disney World .

Disney classics continued to influence me as an adult. When I was in my early 20s, I'd listen to a playlist of Disney songs to lighten a challenging day at work. And in 2015, when I decided to resign from my nine-to-five job to become a full-time globe trotter, I realized that Disney had inspired me into becoming a world traveler, as well.

As I made my way through all seven continents, I realized certain songs and movies were guiding my choices in where to go.

Song lyrics about exploration made me passionate about going on a safari to see African wildlife, getting under the sea to witness aquatic creatures, and more.

When I finally visited destinations I'd always dreamed of, it was Disney songs that ran through my mind.

I love most Disney movies, but these were the four films and five songs, in particular, that motivated me to travel to specific destinations.

"Arabian Nights" from "Aladdin" inspired me to visit the Moroccan Sahara Desert.

My favorite Disney cartoon has always been " Aladdin ." As a child, I adored the music, bustling bazaars, and colorful clothing in Disney's 1992 movie, which is set in the fictional destination of Agrabah.

The original story of "Aladdin" is actually based on the Middle Eastern folk storybook, "One Thousand and One Nights." French translator Antoine Galland added the story of "Aladdin" after he heard the tale from Syrian storyteller, Hanna Diyab. The English translation for the collection of stories is "Arabian Nights," which is the same title as the opening song in Disney's "Aladdin.

The character of Aladdin may live in a fictional place, but the song "Arabian Nights" inspired me to visit Morocco. When I found myself in the Moroccan Sahara Desert in the seemingly endless heat, I couldn't help but hum "Arabian nights" to myself:"Arabian days, more often than not are hotter than hot."

I was so inspired, the song and movie eventually led me to Egypt, Turkey, Jordan, and The United Arab Emirates, too.

"Aladdin" influenced me so much, that another song from the movie, "A Whole New World," sparked my desire to go up in a hot air balloon in Cappadocia, Turkey.

Many songs from Disney's "Aladdin" came to mind during my trips to the Middle East and Northern Africa.

While "Arabian Nights certainly inspired me to visit the region, my favorite track from the movie has actually always been "A Whole New World."

I was three when the cartoon debuted and was immediately enchanted with the concept of the world being "shining, shimmering, splendid."

Although I never found a magic carpet on any of my travels, I did find a way to reach a new fantastic point of view when I visited Turkey last year.

As a direct result of my inspiration from the movie, I rode in a hot air balloon in Göreme, Cappadocia, over valleys of mushroom-shaped structures. Like Jasmine and Aladdin sang, I was in utter bliss as we soared over unbelievable sights and hundreds of thousands of things to see.

The song "Go the Distance" from "Hercules" reminds me to continue traveling as far and long as possible, and more specifically, to visit Jordan.

Hercules is a mythological hero in ancient Greek and Roman stories. And although I've visited both Italy and Greece, it wasn't until I reached Jordan that I was reminded of the "Go the Distance" song from the 1997 Disney cartoon " Hercules ."

I visited the Temple of Hercules in the Amman Citadel where all that's left of a gigantic statue of the hero is a massive hand and elbow .

Visiting the temple reminded me that like Hercules sang, I continue to dream of far-off places and know I can go the distance like a shooting star and search the world. It's why I decided to become a full-time traveler, and perhaps I have this movie to thank.

The "Circle of Life" from "The Lion King" made me want to go on a safari in Rwanda.

Like many children, I was obsessed with "The Lion King" as a kid. So much so, it spurred my dream of one day going on a safari to see African animals in the wild.

When I finally went on a safari for the first time in Rwanda, the movie's iconic soundtrack played in my head as I spotted elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, buffalo, hippos, baboons, and more.

And as I witnessed baby animals under the watchful eye of their parents, it brought to mind the scene that accompanies the song, "Circle of Life," which includes phrases in Zulu .

The lyrics that stood out, in particular, were "there's more to see than can ever be seen." While I've visited 79 countries, which may seem like a large portion of the globe, it's only just over a quarter of the world's countries and I dread knowing that I might not get to go everywhere in the world.

But I took solace reminding myself that I was able to realize my dreams one by one, like going on safari, something I had wanted ever since I first saw Simba on screen.

"Under the Sea" from "The Little Mermaid" gave me the courage to scuba dive for the first time in Indonesia.

Disney's "The Little Mermaid" was released the same month I was born in San Diego, California, in October 1989.

It was probably the first Disney movie I watched, which may be why I've always believed that "life under the sea is better." For my whole life, I've been happiest by the water and was raised with a deep appreciation for the ocean during my early years in California and Uruguay. The first time I ever snorkeled was when I was a pre-teen in Hawaii and I've been in love with the aquatic hobby ever since.

But seeing the world of sea life that exists deep under the water in "The Little Mermaid" always made me want to go down further than just swimming on top of the waves.

In fact, the song's lyrics —"right here on the ocean floor, such wonderful things surround you" — always stuck in my head. So when I visited Raja Ampat, Indonesia, I decided to find the courage to go scuba diving for the first time, as it's know to have the most diverse aquatic life in the world .

The song came to life as I dove down into the biodiverse region and saw black-tipped sharks chasing sting rays, plenty of octopus, cuddle fish camouflaging to match their surroundings, technicolored nudibranchs, and a tiny sea horse.

The movie remains a favorite, as does this memory directly inspired by it.

The track utilizes common elements in the duo’s arsenal, including chill keyboard, sounds reminiscent of their massive hit single “Closer.” The final output is a more subdued sound, a level swaying rhythm with no sudden drops, with tinkling beats and light synths, featuring uncredited vocals by American singer Emily Warren. The song spins a tale of young lovers tumbling about in Paris, wild and free and hiding from their parents, with a promise of “if we go down, we go down together.” “Paris” was a massive hit and peaked at rank six on the Billboard Hot 100 .

The two Brits swap words and rap about places they have been and things they have missed back home in London.

For his second mix-tape release, RM of renowned Kpop supergroup BTS teamed up with British duo HONNE for the track “seoul.” The album, titled and stylized as “mono.”, peels off layers in the Korean rapper’s musicality, revealing soulful sounds and lyrics. “Seoul” is no exception. The synth sounds at the intro are thumping yet gentle. James Hatcher of HONNE revealed this was his vocal, “loaded into a sampler and played on a keyboard.” RM’s lyrics opine about the city he calls home, utilizing the “soul” wordplay and delivering a thoughtful track. RM’s bittersweet feelings about his home city pose a unique invitation to see it for yourself.

“Take Me Home, Country Roads,” also known simply as “Country Roads,” is an ode to West Virginia from John Denver’s 1971 album “Poems, Prayers & Promises.” Co-written by Denver with fellow American singer-songwriters Bill Danoff and Taffy Nivert, “Country Roads” has been a success since its release and remains to be Denver’s most popular song to date. The song was inspired by a drive home wherein Nivert was behind the wheel while Danoff played his guitar. Today has been named Back to the Future Day, as nerds celebrate the date Marty McFly and Doc Brown visit in the 1989 sequel.

While Back To The Future Part II suggested we’d all be traveling around in flying cars, cooking tiny pizzas and wearing self-lacing Nike boots, it all turned out to be the stuff of fevered Hollywood dreams. They haven’t even made Jaws 18 yet, so who looks foolish now?

But it got us thinking – what are the best songs about time travel? And yes, we’ve included Huey Lewis’s Back In Time , because it’d be foolish not to, today of all days.

BLACK SABBATH – Iron Man (Paranoid 1970) The song featuring one of metal’s most satisfyingly basic riffs also boasts some of Geezer Butler’s most sensitive and imaginative lyrics. The titular man has travelled to the future and witnessed the apocalypse; on his return he was turned to steel, and cannot communicate his warning. However, when mankind is hostile towards him, his vengeance becomes the destructive force that causes armageddon. Our lesson, people: never laugh at an iron man.

QUEEN – ‘39 (A Night At The Opera 1975) A dreamlike acoustic stomp with opaque, otherworldly lyrics and a hauntingly melancholic conclusion, ‘39 is arguably Queen’s finest Brian May-fronted song. It concerns an astronaut who travels the Milky Way throughout the year of ‘39, but on return finds “The earth is old and grey” and “So many years have gone though I’m older but a year.” Primarily concerning Einstein’s theory of special relativity, Brian later admitted there was an allegory for life on the road.

IRON MAIDEN – Caught Somewhere In Time (Somewhere In Time 1986) Launching with the quintessentially 1986 sound of a guitar synth – a controversial experiment at the time for the no-frills British metallers – this crypto-title track is an under-appreciated gem from the band’s bulging ‘80s catalogue. With the transition from bouncy tempo to resolute gallop, and the epic, mystical terrace-chant chorus, this is a classic Maiden opener, and the time travel theme is subtle, tempting the listener into the experience of a lifetime.

LED ZEPPELIN – Kashmir (Physical Graffiti, 1975) “I am a traveller of both time and space,” sings Robert Plant in this iconic orchestral epic, although that may just be a reflection of the allegorical spiritual enormity radiating from this mesmerising song. However, there’s an online lyrical analysis from a Doctor Who fan suggesting that “Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace whose sounds caress my ear” might have something to do with the Ood, a species that didn’t appear in the show until 40 years later, making Robert Plant a literal time traveller, albeit one with nothing better to do than watch telly.

INTERNATIONAL SUPERHEROES OF HARDCORE – Back To The Future (Tip Of The Iceberg, 2008) New Found Glory’s tongue-in-cheek side-project, knocked out in their pants for a laugh with a focus on silly pop-cultural themes, got round to their unambiguous homage to the classic movie on this 2008 EP, alongside songs like Screamo Gotta Go and Hardcore Hokey Pokey . However, in these lyrics the band yearn for Doc Brown to take them back to the early days of the hardcore scene, to see “Youth Of Today at the Anthrax” and “Cro-Mags at the Ritz”.

ORANGE GOBLIN – Time Travelling Blues (Time Travelling Blues, 1998) Although primarily a positive song, with ten separate uses of the word ‘baby’ and promises of seeing the sunshine (baby), the ‘blues’ of the title derives from the line: “Time travel, it’s been getting me down, been gone so long I don’t think I’m ever coming down.” It’s hard not to imagine this is another metaphor for life on the road, where Orange Goblin largely remain, 18 years later…

HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS – Back In Time (Back To The Future: Music From The Motion Picture Soundtrack, 1985) “I didn’t fancy writing a song called Back To The Future ,” says Huey Lewis in USA Today this week, coolly explaining his initial instinct to turn down the chance to write a song for the movie. However, after penning the smash hit theme song The Power Of Love , Huey made Back In Time refer more specifically to the content of the film: “Tell me Doctor, where are we going this time? Is this the 50s? Or 1999?“

URIAH HEEP – Traveller In Time (Demons And Wizards, 1972) Bursting open with a massive swaggering riff, the Heep’s 1972 ditty reads like it’s written from the perspective of the then-incumbent Doctor Who, Jon Pertwee’s third incarnation, who had been put on trial by the Time Lords for meddling and exiled to 1970s England (result!). Who else could have inspired lines like “I have a feeling that there must be a time when I’ll get a chance to go home, ‘cause I’m just a traveller in time, trying so hard to pay for my crime.”

HAWKWIND – Silver Machine (In Search Of Space, 1972) After the song’s original vocalist, Bob Calvert, was sectioned under the Mental Health Act, Lemmy took the Hawkwind mic for the first time and secured the acid-fried space rockers their first and only major hit single, an iconic and parodic love letter to the titular sci-fi device. “It flies sideways through time,” explains Mr Kilmister, adding “It’s an electric line to your Zodiac sign,” which is a neat trick.

THE GATHERING – Strange Machines (Mandylion, 1995) The curtain-raiser on the most pivotal, game-changing album from this dreamy Dutch sextet, *Strange Machines *was our first glimpse of new frontwoman Anneke van Giersbergen, whose ethereal, impassioned ululations enlivened this song of yearning for the gift of time travel, even in lines like “Russian Revolution, let’s do it in one day, Beethoven and Gershwin, I think that would be OK.”

Billie Eilish is getting ready to hit the road on her biggest tour yet .

Just a few months after winning her ninth Grammy Award for the hit song “What Was I Made For?” from the “Barbie” movie, Eilish is set to promote new music. The U.S. leg of the “Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour” will kick off on Sept. 29 in Quebec and it will end on Dec. 17 in Inglewood, Calif.

As part of her tour alongside brother and producer FINNEAS, Eilish will make one stop in New Jersey at the Prudential Center in Newark on Oct. 9 and then the tour will have three stops at Madison Square Garden in New York City from Oct. 16-18 .

This tour is in support of the Grammy winner’s third album “ Hit Me Hard and Soft ” which releases on May 17.

How much are Billie Eilish tickets for the ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’ tour?

According to the Heritage Bank Center site , tickets are grouped into eight different tiers, ranging in price from $59.50 to $499.50 . Here is a look at the prices.

To get tickets at retail prices, rather than jacked-up reseller prices, you’ll want to take advantage of the artist presale while it is going on at Ticketmaster .

How to get Billie Eilish tickets

Fans will be able to purchase tickets to Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour” during presales and a general sale on Ticketmaster between April 29 through May 3, 2024.

In the U.S. presales start on Tuesday, April 30 with the Artist Presale from 12 p.m. EDT to May 3 at 11 a.m . EDT .

The American Express Early Access Presale and Preferred Access seating sale with also begin on April 30 at 12 p.m. EDT and end on May 3 at 11 a.m. EDT. You can find out how the AMEX presale and preferred seating sale work here .

Those who can’t access the presales will have an opportunity to purchase tickets during the general sale on Friday, May 3 at 12 p.m .

These tickets are sure to sell fast, but there will be tickets available on secondary market sites, including StubHub , Vivid Seats , TicketCity , TicketNetwork , and SeatGeek .

First-time Vivid Seats users can save $20 on ticket orders over $200 by entering promo code NJ20 at checkout.

Based on a YouTube short with a few clips of Swift’s rehearsals, fans have picked up clues suggesting that she will be adding new songs from The Tortured Poets Department to her 2024 Eras Tour setlist.

On May 9, Taylor Swift will take the stage once again to begin the European leg of her Eras Tour. Her usual concerts last just over three hours with her performing around 45 songs on average. But with The Tortured Poets Department, she has 31 more songs to choose from.

Swift recently added the above video showing moments from her rehearsals. But breaking down the video, fans believe that she teased the addition of a few tracks from The Tortured Poets Department into her upcoming concerts.

TikTok user ‘ Nikkiking23 ’ posted the following video presenting a few pieces of evidence suggesting the addition of The Tortured Poets Department songs to Taylor Swift’s Paris concert and beyond:

While this isn’t confirmed yet, Swift could surprise fans across her European, American, and Canadian tours.

However, since the concerts are already big shows, she could choose to condense a few old songs or even remove them to incorporate the new songs. If this happens, it would be interesting to see how fans react to a change to her setlist.

Fans believe that Taylor Swift hinted at singing Fortnight from The Tortured Poets Department album during The Eras Tour 2024 shows.

Tamil singer Uma Ramanan passed away on May 1, as per several reports. The singer died in Chennai at the age of 69. However, the cause of her death is still unknown. She is survived by her singer-husband AV Ramanan and her son, Vignesh Ramanan. Details about her funeral are also awaited. Uma was one of Ilaiyaraaja’s longtime collaborators. Their song, Poongathave Thalthiravai, for the film Nizhalgal, shot her to fame and made her a household name.

The news of her death has left fans heartbroken. Several fans took to X and shared tributes. “Woke up to the sad news of passing away of singer Mrs Uma Ramanan. In this age of Super Singers and performers where the singers act more than they sing, here is Mrs Uma Ramanan bringing such complex emotions through her voice with zero indications on her face. What a singer! Om Shanthi Mam ,” a fan wrote.
