I first bought this fragrance years ago but recently purchased and started using it again. It's so fresh, clean and green. It lasts all day (or night) sometimes I spray a little on before bed. It smells so good.

My favorite. Sad it is discontinued.

It's sweet but not overwhelmingly so and just smells clean overall. One spray will last 2-3 hours but that's fine with me. I've always hated perfumes because of how heavy they were, but this one is just so lovely

I have heard about Nautica Voyage being reformulated, and indeed, there has been a change in the fragrance packaging, but did they change the liquid itself?

It’s important to emphasize that Nautica Voyage is a pretty linear scent and it doesn’t change much during its lifespan . The green effect that the scent has in the opening stays present throughout the whole performance with changes in its solidity.

One interesting fact is that Nautica Voyage has that refreshing, cooling scent that usually comes from cucumber, but there isn’t anything similar in fragrance structure.

Besides that, Nautica Voyage is a mass-appealing scent that is extremely easy to like and a safe blind buy or a birthday present. It is very hard to go wrong with this one.

In the final dry-down, the scent gets slightly woody from cedar wood but it is mostly green, musky opiate.

All in all, Nautica Voyage is a highly enjoyable scent with great quality for the price you pay; it is an inoffensive, watery, mouthwatering, and significantly green fragrance that lives up to expectations while offering more than you ever thought it will.

Nautica Voyage will last up to 7 hours while it will project beautifully for the first 1 and a half hours.

We can all agree that Nautica Voyage is one of the best buys for the back; not only does it have a splendid scent that both genders adore, but it also provides decent performance.

After multiple tests under multiple conditions, on my skin, Nautica Voyage lasts up to 7 hours, but I heard some people saying that they can detect it even after 9 hours, so it really depends on your skin.

In the first hour, and an hour and a half, Nautica Voyage will leave beautiful traces around you, and because of its ultra-pleasant nature, you will surely receive many compliments.

After the period of projection, it becomes more of an intimate scent, but if you want to smell it all day, you can always re-apply a spray or two.

Considering its price, Nautica Voyage offers more than we ever thought it would, so there is really nothing bad we can say about this deserving bestseller.

Nautica Voyage is best to wear during hot, summer, or spring days when you need a refreshing, uplifting scent to get you throughout the day .

There is no doubt that Nautica Voyage is a scent made for warmer days when higher temperatures will allow it to evolve beautifully and reach its full potential.

I can picture Nautica Voyage to be worn on almost any occasion, especially day-time events: work, coffee breaks, getting groceries, dates, lunch, and any other occasion you can think of.

It is more suitable for daytime, but you won’t go wrong if you decide to wear it when clubbing, or for a romantic dinner with your special one.

I wouldn’t recommend Nautica Voyage for colder winter or even fall days since it lacks the depth, warmth, or woodiness that winter fragrances should have.

5-6 sprays of Nautica Voyage will be enough for the fragrance to evolve naturally and reach its optimal performance .

It’s important to emphasize that Nautica Voyage can hardly be overapplied; its light and compact composition is very stable and too many sprays won’t make the scent unbearable.

However, applying more than 5-6 sprays on a daily occasion will only be a waste of such a nice perfume and the performance won’t be improved.

You can always re-apply it, but hours after the initial spray.

Besides re-applying, spraying perfume on your pulse points will also affect fragrance lifespan: 2 sprays behind your ears, 1 spray behind your head, 1 spray in the dip of your collarbone, and 2 sprays on your wrists.

We can’t blame the house of Nautica for this replacement because the fragrance kept its price and it is still one of the best, cheap fragrances on the market.

Charlotte Tilbury’s New Fragrances Promise To Transform Your Mood

As if conquering the makeup landscape wasn’t enough, Charlotte Tilbury is about to turn the fragrance world on its head. Not satisfied with launching one fragrance, Tilbury has developed a line of six perfumes called Collection of Emotions. The clue is in the name: this is no ordinary set of scents–according to Tilbury, they have some serious neuroscience behind them.

Tilbury set out to tap into how a fragrance has the ability to change the way we feel, and worked with neuroscience experts as well as three master perfumers from International Flavors and Fragrance (IFF) to develop the scents. “I always wanted to do this but I’d always been told I couldn’t,” she says, adding that she didn’t want the concept to “just be marketing stuff." “I knew I could be giving people the power to architect their day, so that’s when I started to investigate the possibilities.” IFF’s Scentcube–the result of more than 40 years of research into how different fragrance notes affect the brain–held the key.

The result is six universal feelings, bottled as scents: Love Frequency (floral woody), Joyphoria (warm floral), Magic Energy (citrus woody), Calm Bliss (aquatic floral), More Sex (musk leather) and Cosmic Power (amber spicy).

Tilbury says she was shocked that IFF’s decades of research had never previously been used to design a scent that elicits emotion. “They obviously use it to work on different fragrance notes, but never with that intention to feel. When we knew that with the neuroscience and the psychology we could create my concept… it was a heavenly match.”

The make-up guru also utilized color theory–a practice she has implemented for years as a makeup artist–when working on the packaging, matching the color of each bottle to the feelings and memories the perfume inside has been created to evoke. The bottles are inspired by 18th-century alchemy bottles, with the lids a nod to the Egyptian Pyramids.

As with her makeup products, Tilbury hopes her customers will choose which fragrance to apply depending on how they want to feel on any given day. “One day you might want to be like, Kate Moss rock chick, and then sometimes you might feel like being a Bella [Hadid] bombshell,” she says. The perfumes can also be layered together. “You might be going out to an event and want to feel sexy and empowered, so you might spray Magic Energy and Cosmic Power together.”

Tilbury, who gave tester vials to her friends to try during the testing phase, says those who wore Magic Energy reported being chased down the street by strangers demanding to know what perfume they had on. Others used the layering method to help promote calm. “I’ve always known it could work, because I would mix up my own perfumes using raw materials like palo santo, patchouli and vanilla beans,” she recalls. “I just knew that they worked to help keep me calm.”

It’s not the first time Tilbury has created a perfume, in 2016 she launched Scent of a Dream, a limited-edition scent that quickly acquired cult status. Given her track record–and passion for her product–there’s every chance this new collection will be similarly successful.

One is named Louve (She-Wolf), which centers on a soft balm-like bitter almond note "white like a snow castle atop a mountain". The other one is a velvet-like floral called Sarrasins (Saracens) inspired by Moresque culture and showcases a "petrifyingly beautiful jasmine, gloved in black ink the color of bats."......

Sarrasins will be exclusive to the Palais Royal Shiseido while Louve will be available in the export range in department stores and exclusive perfumeries. 

Louve High Concentration edp will retail 95 Euros for 50 ml. Sarrasins edp will retail 105 Euros for 75 ml.

In other news, Moscovites will rejoice to learn that a Serge Lutens corner will open at the Tsum in July of 2007.

Thanks for the info M-H. Sarrasins is a great name, though I'd expect something different than a jasmine from it. Does petrifying mean becoming indolic, or being terrified? The ink territory seems different.

And Louve sounds like its going to be a comfort scent, doesn't it? Perhaps a pared down RL?

Actually, you made me realize it's a literal translation of the French expression, "pétrifiant de beauté" which would mean that one feels awed by the beauty of that jasmine (awe being this mix of shock, maybe with some element of fear experienced in it, and admiration.)

I note that Louve seems to want to play on the theme of iciness and wildness coupled with the possibly gourmand theme too. A reference to the nurturing qualities of the she-wolf which Romulus and Remus suckled? LOL, maybe an aloof, distanced comfort scent?

Now I'm imagining Sarracins as some conflation of medieval Provençal love poetry (the idealised and idolised unrequited love object) with some decorative Mauresque thrust to take us further south. And Louve - a milky quality perhaps, as well. A comfort scent that bites and snarls (the bitterness)?

I think we could riff on the poetic allusions for some time if we so chose! I'm not sure it would help!

What do you think? If I were in the creators' shoes, I would be delighted to see that my perfumes are making people day-dream and re-invent the perfumes in their own fashions:)

Louve is so evocative and strange. Actually I started imagining a castle in the Balkans with count Dracula not far in the distance, but then realized the bats' allusion is for Sarrasins....hmmm, anyway, the smell of fresh ink is very interesting. Wonder if it will be literally an ink note? Am thrilled and looking forward to these beauties!

I have to say Romulus and Remus was my first thought as well, given my classical education. But almond doesn't bode with that? And not a note I'm crazy about, although the snow castle sounds delectable.We'll see I guess.

The name Sarassins is magnificent, though! And as a lover of jasmine I cannot but be *very* looking forward to what he comes up with...Sarassins brings to mind Spain and Sicily and all the mediterranean islands pilaged by pirates. And parchements with black ink in sweeping writing....Hmmm...come September, come.....

I want to add just a little critical note about Sarrasins because although admiteddly the name itself is beautiful, poetic in a sense, it is also connoted as a word that designate the muslims as the others, the foreigners. It is not a completely neutral term.

About that last comment, M-H: I'm not surprised by the non-neutrality of the term. It seems to me that Lutens presents a very old-world, romanticized view of Muslim that doesn't entirely go over with those outside of France. I'm intrigued by the bats and ink, but less so by the jasmine. I like the sounds of chill and bitterness in Louve, too, but I'm not overly enamoured of almonds or "soft" "balm-like" scents.

Yes, I agree, there is an old-school Orientalist streak in his work, thank you for pointing out this aspect. I am just wondering if we have come a long enough way since the middle ages to re-use a term like "sarrasins" just based on its aesthetic merits or if with the tensions within the large French Muslim population, this might be felt as politically insensitive. On the other hand, I remember how when Arabie was issued and I was wearing it in Paris, I would get an approving smile by some French people of Arab descent because, I suppose that wearing Arabie translated into signalling that you liked Arab culture.

Greetings from the Balkans, although a safe distance from the Transilvanian abode of Drakul (sounds better than Dracula, n'est-ce pas? :) ). While I am romanticizing these new offerings from SL and anxiously awaiting September, I can't help but gripe over not having tried CR or Rousse yet. It seems a trip to Paris is in order. Oh oui, je préfère nettement Drakul! I think that coffee-drinking while testing the new Lutens will have to happen in Second Life for me at least in September:) I'm sure we'll meet someday in Paris:) Tous les chemins mènent à la Rome des parfums, to continue with the imagined Louve theme:)

I commented here a few days ago, but seems like it didn't get your approval. Well all I wanted to say is, you have a wonderful blog on perfumes and I like the way you do product reviews.

I just tried Sarrasins and I think it is exquisite, wearable and subtly new. Although I cannot say whether the jasmine note is original, I think the ink note is a valid exploration of an interesting synthetic tone and an inspired pairing with the jasmine. A La Nuit may be a perfect recreation of real jasmin, but this feels wonderful to wear. Perfumery need not always be practiced as an abstract art. Like architecture, it must merge beauty and purpose.

Amazing Collection

My daughter and I went here after reading great reviews. We were warmly welcomed by the lady in the store and browsed the stunning collection of Chanel, Hermes, Dior and Gucci plus many more. Impeccable quality and presentation, a must visit in a beautiful part of town.

Amazing venue in the very center of the city. The collection blurs the line between fashion and art. Got some incredible presents for my friends, and a few things for myself as well. Must visit!
