The second question is: “Do you make your puzzles in New Hampshire?” The answer is: Our puzzles are manufactured in New England and the Midwest, then shipped to our warehouse in Conway, N.H. Our warehouse Manager Bruce and his assistant Paul do a great job of shipping orders on time. Twenty minutes up the road from Conway is our office in Jackson Village, N.H.

Vacationers have been staying here at inns like Wentworth Hall and The Eagle Mountain House since shortly after the Civil War. Necessity was the mother of invention. Cronan and Ted needed to support their growing families. Freelance writing (Cronan) and running a country inn (Ted) were unreliable sources of income.

At first, the partners created illustrated posters of resort areas like CAPE COD, CARMEL, SEDONA, KILLINGTON, ASPEN, and VAIL. Traveling up and down the country, they sold advertising on entertaining “birds eye view” posters to restaurants, inns, and gift shops. Their first company, named MINTOWSKI PUBLICATIONS, was eventually renamed WHITE MOUNTAIN GRAPHICS, which flourished through the 1980s.

Customers often commented that their artwork – colorful, full of information, and geographically complex – would make great jigsaw puzzles. In 1988, needing new product ideas, they added puzzles to their line. Almost overnight, their puzzles STOLE THE SHOW.

By 1990, Cronan and Ted had renamed their company WHITE MOUNTAIN PUZZLES. They bought an office building, which included the Jackson, N.H. post office. The company is still headquartered here today.

While resort puzzles still play an important role in their business, Cronan and Ted now sell over a million puzzles a year. Not bad for two entrepreneurs who moved their families to the White Mountains because they loved to ski.

Now, Cronan and Ted have a whole warehouse filled with puzzles for their grandchildren to enjoy.

World Jigsaw Puzzle Federation

The World Jigsaw Puzzle Federation is an international organization dedicated to jigsaw puzzles. It follows the Olympic standard, and brings together puzzlers from around the world for World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship (WJPC). Goals of the World Jigsaw Puzzle Federation are to organize and supervise the World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship (WJPC) and to achieve the acknowledgment of jigsaw puzle competitions as a sport.

USA Jigsaw Puzzle Association

Established in 2020, the USA Jigsaw Puzzle Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a nationwide community for jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts, establishing a framework for competitive jigsaw puzzling events, and acting as the United States representative and official liaison with the World Jigsaw Puzzle Federation.

Founded by Cronan Minton and Ted Wroblewski in 1978, White Mountain Puzzles is a private, family-owned business. It started as a small poster company, and today it is one of the most recognizable and popular puzzle companies in the United States.

How do you ship?

We ship via UPS.  We charge $7.99 FLAT RATE for all Puzzle Orders under $75.  We offer FREE Shipping on all orders over $75 and also run monthly discounted shipping promotions (sent via email, sign-up here ).  Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii are only shipped via the US Mail. Canadian Customers, click here for more info.

Do I have to register to place an order?

You are not required to register to place an order. However, if you do register you will be able to see your order history from that point on and see tracking information on your order. You will also be able to earn Points for every purchase which can be redeemed for discounts and free puzzles.

What does “redeem pieces” mean on the checkout page?

Once you register with us (select a password) you will earn 1 Puzzle Piece for every dollar spent with us.  You can also earn Pieces for referring friends to us.  Once you have accrued 125 P ieces you can redeem for $10 off your purchase.  Collect up to 225 P ieces and redeem for a FREE 1000 Piece Puzzle.  Or keep saving your P ieces and redeem for multiple free puzzles.   In order to claim or redeem your p ieces you must be a registered customer and log into your account.  P ieces do expire after 1 year of inactivity (no purchases or redemptions within 1 year).  To learn more visit our Rewards Page .

How long will it take to get my order?

Orders are shipped Monday-Friday. We strive to ship all orders within 48 hours of receipt. Orders are shipped from Kentucky. Your shipment can take 1 to 7 business days depending on your distance from Kentucky.  Please allow up to 2 weeks delivery time for shipments to Alaska and Hawaii.

Do you ship internationally?

We do not ship internationally at this time.

I have a duplicate puzzle – can it be exchanged for a different one?

You may return a puzzle as long as it was purchased new and the shrink wrap has not been removed. Please return the puzzle to White Mountain Puzzles: PO Box 818: Jackson, NH 03846. Please pack it inside another cardboard box. Puzzles that are simply wrapped in paper will always arrive to us damaged and will be unsellable. The original payment type will be credited.

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.
