Cannot login as a tourist

Cannot login as a tourist. i’ve tried resetting my password but It doesn’t really matter you can’t login to register your card. I tried this for two days. I’m a tech person, so imagine what it would be like for a non-techie.

Terrible Introduction to Transit in NZ

Had to sit through 15 mins of loading on international cell service to register the card. It should not be difficult to navigate around your city. Why do I need to enter a NZ address if I don’t live in your country?

Hill Country Transit District (HCTD) operates The HOP, a regional public transit system that started in the 1960’s as a volunteer transit service that has since grown to serve a nine-county area covering over 9,000 square miles. In the last decade, the system has experienced significant growth and consists of three divisions: the nine-county Rural Division, the Killeen Urban Division consisting of Copperas Cove, Harker Heights, and Killeen; and the Temple Urban Division consisting of Belton and Temple.

Hill Country Transit District, a political subdivision of the State of Texas, is a regional transit system whose mission is to build, refine, and operate a safe, dependable, and effective transportation network that provides mobility, improves the quality of life, and stimulates economic development through the provision of rural, urban fixed route, and ADA complementary paratransit service for citizens and visitors of the Central Texas area.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Lynden Hop

​how do i book my ride , what are the start and end times on the lynden hop, where can i catch it , who can ride , how much does it cost , can i book a ride in advance, how long will i wait , will this be a shared ride, with other passengers , what about wheelchairs and other mobility devices , how is the hop different than paratransit .

The Lynden Hop and Paratransit differ in the amount of assistance a driver will provide. The Hop is a curb-to-curb service, appropriate for people who can travel independently, or with a personal care attendant. Unlike Paratransit, Lynden Hop drivers will not go to your door or into a building to let you know they've arrived. Hop riders must be able to transport themselves without assistance from the driver. 

If you need a higher level of assistance, the Hop may not be the right option for you. Please call us at 360-676-7433 if you'd like more information.    

Can I bring my animal with me?

BMI is honoring songwriter, producer and artist Benny Blanco with the President’s Award at the organization’s 2024 Pop Awards .

As a songwriter, record producer and artist, Blanco has crafted hits like “Diamonds” by Rihanna, “Circus” by Britney Spears and “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5 to name just a few. He’s collaborated with globally-lauded artists including Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, SZA, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran and the Weeknd, among others.

The BMI Pop Awards will also reveal winners for Pop Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Publisher of the Year and BMI’s 50 most-performed pop songs in the U.S. of the previous year. The private event, hosted by BMI President and CEO Mike O’Neill and VP of Worldwide Creative Barbara Cane, will be held on June 4 at Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, CA.

“Benny’s numerous contributions to the art of music and songwriting across all genres are unparalleled,” said Cane. “His artistry and dedication to his craft have profoundly inspired and influenced many in our creative communities and we are thrilled to be honoring him with the BMI President’s Award. Hip-hop producer BNYX (Yeat, Drake, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Nicki Minaj) has signed a new deal with Zack Bia’s Field Trip Recordings and Capitol Records . Yeat’s Lyfestyle Corporation will also work with BNYX as part of the deal.

“BNYX is an exceptional musician, a true artist with a specific vision but above all an incredible human,” said Bia. “Yeat brought him into our lives and he’s turned into family. It is only right we would all partner to bring his music to the world as the first official signee to Lyfestyle Corporation / Field Trip / Capitol Records. We couldn’t be more honored and excited.”

The Philadelphia-bred artist is said to release his debut project in the coming months under this deal and off the success of a blockbuster 2023 when he spent seven weeks topping Billboard’s Top Rap Producers chart. He’s set to perform live for the first time at Jack Harlow’s Gazebo Festival in May and will be joining Yeat for a slate of shows later this summer.

“As a producer BNYX has had a profound impact on both music and culture,” said Tom March, chairman and CEO for Capitol Records. “We’re thrilled to partner with he, his manager Ness, the brilliant Zack Bia and Field Trip Recordings on the launch of BNYX’s solo career. + Samantha Sklar has been promoted to VP of A&R at Position Music .

Sklar’s most recent notable success is marked with the signing of breakout songwriter Jack LaFrantz, who co-wrote Benson Boone’s hit Hot 100-topping single “Beautiful Things.” Sklar joined Position Music in August 2022 and has been integral in helping to build out the frontline pop publishing roster including the additions of Joe Kearns, Zach Skelton, John “Feldy” Feldmann, Alex “Abomb” Fernandez, amongst others yet to be announced. + Bella Figura Music , the independent music publisher and record label founded by Alexi Cory-Smith and Neelesh Prabhu in 2022, has announced the acquisition of RAK Publishing (RAK) .

RAK oversees 1500 copyrights, including classic hits such as “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” recorded by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, “Kids in America” recorded by Kim Wilde, “Music” recorded by John Miles, and many others.

RAK was founded in 1969 by record producer Mickie Most and his wife Christina and now represents over a hundred writers including the Ivor Novello Winner Errol Brown and BASCA Gold Badge recipients Steve Harley and Suzi Quatro.

+ Reservoir Media, Inc. and Big Life Managemen t, a Reservoir company, have announced a slate of key promotions at Big Life. Kat Kennedy , Colin Roberts, and Claire Kilcourse have been promoted to partners, with Kennedy also taking on a new role as managing director.

In her 18 years at Big Life, Kennedy rose from a junior role to her previous title of general manager, which she held for 12 years. Roberts began at Big Life in 2007 as an A&R scout, bringing in artists including La Roux and the Sound of Arrows, with the latter becoming the first of many of his own management clients.

Kilcourse returned to Big Life as an artist manager in January 2017 following an earlier role as a management assistant between 2010 and 2012. On her return to the company, she brought Orla Gartland and Look Mum No Computer to the roster.

+ Portland-based indie record label Really Rad Records has launched an online fundraiser to help the company get back on its feet after its headquarters were burned down last month. Really Rad provides artists with PR, booking and advertising services as well as producing and distributing physical formats like vinyl, CDs, and cassettes.

Donations will go towards restocking merchandise, starting with the most recent arrivals and working backwards, in addition to any refunds that customers may place for the destroyed merchandise.

“The investigation is still ongoing, but it’s believed that an electrical fire sparked from an outlet in our living room and caught on some cardboard shipping supplies,” said the company on their GoFundMe page. “Between that and the thousands of vinyl records stocked on our shelves, it took less than 90 seconds for the fire to grow so hot that our home was filled with black smoke, windows were cracking and the staircase outside our apartment leading to our upstairs neighbor was completely engulfed in flames.”

+ Lucas Keller, president and founding partner of Milk & Honey Music + Sports + Ventures , has announced the acquisition of VMG Sports , built by NFLPA certified agents Adam Heller, Michael Simon, Greg Diulus and Sammy Spina who will now join the Milk & Honey executive staff.

Through this new deal, Travis Kelce, Paris Johnson and 15 total NFL players will join the Milk & Honey family joining the existing roster of clients including Courtland Sutton (Denver Broncos) and Kamren Curl (Los Angeles Rams) to name a few. The company now represents 83 athletes in total across football and baseball.

Milk & Honey was founded in a decade ago by Keller and general manager/business partner Nic Warner, and entered the sports world three years ago with a focus on expanding beyond just a music shop. Milk & Honey’s music department represent songwriters and record producers alongside nearly 30 DJs in their artist department.

+ Media, marketing and management firm Jensen Communications, Inc. has appointed Leo Lavoro as senior VP of publicity and media strategy. In his new role, Lavoro will provide strategic direction for the company’s roster of clients in the areas of PR, marketing and brand building.

He will report to Michael Jensen, president and founder of Jensen Communications, Inc. (JCI).

If you are kicking yourself for not bagging tickets to the Paris 2024 Olympics when they first went on sale, all is not lost. A travel expert tells Sky News how sports fans can plan a last-minute trip this summer.

As the Paris Olympics draw closer, the hype is increasing - and it's only going to build from here. 

If you are kicking yourself for not bagging tickets when they first went on sale, all is not lost.

There are still ways you can get to Paris to see the Games.

Sky News talks to a travel expert to bring you all you need to know about securing your last-minute trip.

Can I still get tickets for the Olympics?

Yes, it is still possible to get tickets for the Games.

More than 250,000 tickets went on sale on 17 April to mark 100 days until the opening of the Games.

This is the last ticket sale, but tickets are still available for dozens of events.

The first sale involved a lottery and timeslots to buy packs of tickets for events.

In the final stretch of ticket sales, things are a lot simpler.

Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and you can see the availability for different events in real time on the website.

While a lot of the final tickets on sale are pretty pricey, there is still the chance to bag a bargain.

Almost 20,000 tickets were put on sale for €24 and it is still possible to get tickets to see football for this price.

At the other end of the spectrum, there are ticket and hospitality packages available that will set you back hundreds of Euros.

What about the Paralympics?

The Paralympic Games will take place from 28 August to 8 September and there are still tickets available from €15.

The booking works the same as for the Olympics - first-come, first-served, with the remaining tickets now available on the website.

Avoid the scammers

Don't get caught out by scammers - make sure you only buy tickets through the official Paris 2024 ticketing website.

It's not too late to book - but don't wait

While the start of the Games is fast approaching, it's not too late to plan a trip - but you should "get booking ASAP", Jessica Dante, travel expert at Love and London, tells Sky News.

The Eurostar is not as "wildly priced" as you might expect, she says, with return fares available for the first week of the Games for under £200 - and the same is true of budget airlines.

But, Ms Dante cautions, "that will invariably only continue to go up" - so book soon rather than hold out for a last-minute deal.

Could there be last-minute deals on accommodation?

Don't bank on it, Ms Dante says.

"I'm always in the camp of just book something so you have it. If something else pops up closer to the time then fine, you can try to make a switch if you've got something that you can cancel.

"But there's also the chance that something might not pop up that's going to be in your price range as well."

While there could be a small wave of accommodation deals open up as people cancel, a lot of accommodation will be non-refundable at least a couple of weeks before the Games, so any cancellations are likely to still be fairly far in advance, she says.

Tips for booking accommodation

There is still "decent availability" for hotels, she says, although some popular spots are already booked up.

Unsurprisingly, cost has a lot to do with location - so look away from central areas and places close to Olympic locations if you are looking to save money.

"The flip side of that is it then means that you're probably going to have to deal with taking the metro and you'll have to pay for the inflated cost of the rides."

The price of metro tickets will almost double during the Games, from €2.10 (£1.80) to €4 (£3.40).

But the surcharge on public transport is unlikely to match the price difference on a more central hotel. Ms Dante advises looking at suburban areas or the outskirts of the city.

What about staying in another town?

Staying in another town entirely and travelling to Paris for events is one option.

But you should consider the pros and cons carefully, Ms Dante says.

There is a looming threat of train strikes. The CGT public servants union has announced plans to strike during the Olympics, which could mean many transport workers walking out.

If you are staying outside Paris, that could scupper your plans to easily travel into the city.

Even if there are not strikes, trains into Paris are likely to be crowded, Ms Dante says.

"You do have to kind of balance that and just be prepared that you might have some difficulty."

Can you go to the Olympics and avoid Paris entirely?

The Games may be headlined as Paris 2024, but there are events taking place across the country - and the surfing is even in Tahiti.

The cities of Lyon, Saint-Etienne, Nice, Bordeaux, Nantes and Marseille will host events.

The Olympic ticketing site allows you to filter available events by location, so if you are keen to give Paris a miss you can seek out what is happening in other places.

"They're going to be a little bit less popular than stuff that's right in the centre of Paris, so I think that's a really good option," Ms Dante says.

Consider the Paralympics

The Paralympics often gets overshadowed by the Olympics, but it's a great option if you want to experience the Games, Ms Dante says.

"It's going to be a little bit less crowded, the pricing will be better, probably a little bit more of a relaxed experience."

Is it worth going to Paris if you don't have tickets to the Games?

Maybe there are no tickets left in your price range, or your favourite event is sold out - is it worth planning a trip to Paris anyway?

"Definitely," according to Ms Dante. "This whole summer it's going to be really buzzy there."

A lot of locals will leave the city, she says. It's French tradition in the summer, but the exodus is likely to be even bigger this year as Parisians flee the crowds - meaning some areas could end up being quieter than normal.

Attractions away from the main Olympic sites could also be quieter than normal, she says.

How to make the most of your trip

If you are keen to combine cultural activities with sporting ones, consider booking a guided tour to big attractions, Ms Dante advises.

That way, you have got your ticket secured and the tour guides will be up to speed on any road closures or access changes that could make your visit more tricky.

Also keep in mind that there will be a lot of security measures in place and getting around the city will take longer than normal.
