(G)I-DLE Announces Dates And Cities For 1st World Tour "JUST ME ( )I-DLE"

(G)I-DLE is heading abroad on their first-ever world tour!

On May 12 at midnight KST, (G)I-DLE officially announced their plans for their long-awaited first world tour “JUST ME ( )I-DLE.”

After kicking things off with two nights of concerts in Seoul on June 18 and 19, (G)I-DLE will head to the United States, where their tour will take them to eight different cities across the country in July and August. The group will then head to Santiago, Mexico City, and Monterrey before returning to Asia to perform in Jakarta, Manila, Tokyo, and Singapore.

However, fans outside these cities and countries need not be discouraged: according to the announcement, (G)I-DLE will soon reveal more dates and cities for the upcoming tour.

2023 WORLD TOUR [I am FREE-TY] IN EUROPE

The internationally acclaimed South Korean girl group (G)I-DLE is all set to enchant fans at their very first performance in Belgium. On September 16, the girl band will perform at Forest National.

(G)I-DLE, consisting of Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi and Shuhua, entered the music scene in 2018 under the renowned entertainment company CUBE Entertainment. Since their debut, they have garnered immense popularity worldwide with their distinct concept and hits.

Their musical journey began with their debut song "LATATA," followed by hits like "HANN (Alone)," "Senorita," and "DUMDi DUMDi."

In 2022, (G)I-DLE launched their first full-length album, and the title track, "TOMBOY." The album's success was followed by the release of their 5th mini-album, "Nxde." (G)I-DLE achieved notable milestones, including a spot on the iTunes chart in 40 different regions worldwide and a debut on the US Billboard 200. The band is the first K-pop girl group ever to enter the top 40 on Media Base and the Billboard Pop Airplay chart.

With their latest mini-album "[I feel]" released earlier this year, (G)I-DLE continues to solidify their status as icons in the K-pop industry. The group's unique musical style, powerful performances and exceptional vocals promise to captivate audiences during their upcoming performance at Forest National.

(G)I-DLE kicks off their world tour on June 17 and 18 at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul. After their performances in Asia and North America, the group will begin the European leg of their world tour, including performances in Amsterdam on September 11 and Brussels on September 16.

Childish Gambino’s New World Tour Teased Ahead of Final Albums: 'Are You Ready?'

Donald Glover has also been previewing new music in recent days, including tracks with Ye and Kid Cudi.

This weekend, Donald Glover and/or Childish Gambino fans received official word that a new tour is indeed on the horizon. While early details on the trek remain scarce as of this writing, the announcement itself was tucked into the latest edition of GILGA Radio .

"Childish Gambino New World Tour this summer," the announcement said. "Coming to an arena near you. Are you ready?"

No additional info has yet been made available. However, fans quickly uncovered a website for The New World Tour, complete with a mailing list signup option .

Gambino’s past tours have been undeniably memorable affairs. His I Am Donald run in 2011, for example, saw Glover essentially opening for himself by first performing a standup set, then taking the stage in Gambino form mere moments later.

The This Is America tour in 2018 was widely referred to as possibly being the final batch of Gambino shows. In fact, Gambino himself said as much during the opening stop in Duluth. The moniker itself has also been the subject of frequent retirement speculation, all of which led nicely into this month's official announcement that what's next from Glover and company will indeed mark the final Gambino releases .

First up is Atavista , which fans will note is a final version of 3.15.20 . The last Gambino album will arrive next, per comments from Glover on a previous GILGA Radio livestream, and serves as the soundtrack for a new film titled Bando Stone & The New World.

DG has also been previewing new music as of late, including a collaboration with Ye that's been met with immediate love from fans. This pairing is especially noteworthy for Glover, who often spoke about Ye's influence during interviews earlier into his career. In 2011, the same year he opened for himself on the I Am Donald tour, Gambino put his own spin on the MBDTF track "All of the Lights."

Scandinavian stars set for Vasatorps Golfklubb

A host of the region’s most exciting talent will tee it up later this year at the innovative Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed , which heads to Vasatorps Golfklubb in Helsingborg for the first time from June 6-9.

Past Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed champion Linn Grant will be joined by her compatriot, and Sweden’s most recent DP World Tour winner, Jesper Svensson on home soil in a few months’ time, with tickets for the event on sale now .

The tournament, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and Ladies European Tour, features a field of 78 men and 78 women competing on the same course for one prize fund and one trophy.

Grant made history in 2022 when she became the first female winner of a DP World Tour event, storming to a nine-stroke victory at Halmstad Golf Club.

“I’m very excited to play in the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed again,” said Grant. “My victory two years ago was such an exciting moment and it’s always great to come back and play it. Especially this time, as it takes place in my hometown. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Svensson is enjoying an excellent rookie year on the DP World Tour after earning a place on the 2024 Race to Dubai with graduation from the European Challenge Tour.

The 28-year-old was runner-up on two of his first six starts this season, before claiming a maiden victory at the Porsche Singapore Classic last month.

Currently third on the Race to Dubai Rankings in partnership with Rolex, Svensson said: “This will be the first time I’ll have played in front of a home crowd since my victory, so I can’t wait to get out there and celebrate my success with them. It has been a great start to the year so far, and I would love nothing more than to add to that at Vasatorps in June.”

The pair will be joined in Helsingborg by DP World Tour winners Alexander Björk and Sebastian Söderberg, with compatriots Johanna Gustavsson and five-time Solheim Cup star Caroline Hedwall also confirmed to tee it up.

Representing Denmark at Vasatorps Golfklubb will be four-time DP World Tour winner Rasmus Højgaard, making his first appearance in the event. The 23-year-old will be bidding for a second victory in the region after claiming the Made in HimmerLand title on home soil last season.

“I’m looking forward to playing in this tournament for the first time,” said Højgaard. “It’ll be really interesting to go up against players from the Ladies European Tour, it should be a great week. And with the event being held so close to Denmark, it would be great to see fans come over and support not just me but the other Danish golfers taking part too.”

Also teeing it up in Sweden will be 2019 Solheim Cup player Anne van Dam, who finished in a share of third in her first appearance at the tournament last year. The Dutchwoman is a five-time LET winner and was a teammate of Hedwall’s at Gleneagles five years ago.

Official World Ranking points will be on offer for both Tours, as well as Race to Dubai points for the men and Order of Merit and Solheim Cup points for the women.

Jonathan Caldwell won the inaugural edition three years ago, followed by history-maker Grant and last year’s champion Dale Whitnell.

A wide range of ticket options are on sale now, including single day, two day and weekly tickets, starting from 325kr. Premium ticket options are also available, starting from 825kr, with access to a viewing platform on the 17th hole, preferential parking and one drink and one meal voucher. DETROIT (AP) — The NFL draft has taken the show on the road for a decade, giving cities around the country a chance to be in the spotlight.

Detroit is on the clock.

The Motor City, which was once one of the nation’s largest and most powerful cities, has bounced back from filing for bankruptcy in 2013.

Fans driving and flying into town from the league’s other 31 teams will see signs of progress from the symbolic to the significant.

DETROIT is spelled out, each letter standing 10 feet off an embankment alongside a freeway between the airport and downtown, in an art installation that made its debut earlier this month.

A few miles away, the long-abandoned Michigan Central Station has undergone a renovation funded by Ford Motor Co. to transform the 18-story, 113-year-old train depot from an eyesore into a gem.

In the heart of downtown, where the NFL draft will begin Thursday night, a 685-foot-high tower represents the largest construction project in the city in more than a half-century as it rises from the site of the former Hudson’s department store.

With more than 50 million viewers and an expected 400,000 visitors over the three-day event, there will be a chance to change the conversation about the city.

Lions President Rod Wood pitched the city as a draft destination in 2016 and teamed up with the Detroit Sports Commission a year later to submit the formal bid to land the NFL’s annual event that gives fans from each team a jolt of hope.

The Lions and the local sports commission also partnered with Visit Detroit, Dan Gilbert’s real-estate company, Bedrock, and the Detroit Police Department to make the most of the opportunity.

“The draft here in Detroit is going to make a big step for us in making that old image go away and people having the new image of the city,” Gilbert told The Associated Press. “We’re going to be able to showcase Detroit like never before.”

That’s part of the NFL’s plan, and it has led to 20-plus cities vying for a future draft. Green Bay will host next year’s draft.

After the league had its last draft in New York a decade ago, it envisioned giving cities — particularly those in colder climates that may not host a future Super Bowl — a chance to have a signature event that would have a lot of benefits, including an economic impact.

Chicago was the first tour stop in 2015 and it generated $81 million for the community. Kansas City had it last year, sparking $164 million in economic impact.

“Another opportunity for our franchise and our city and just for the world to kind of migrate to downtown Detroit,” said Lions general manager Brad Holmes, who has turned around a franchise that is coming off its best season since winning the 1957 NFL title. “I expect it to be pretty packed. I’m excited for all the businesses.”

Detroit’s draft is expected to bring in at least $160 million, giving small businesses a boost from fans flocking in and around Campus Martius Park.

One longtime business is looking forward to more than just an increase in foot traffic.

Lauren Stovall, the business lead at Hot Sam’s, and two others representing the 103-year-old men’s clothing store and tailor shop will be onstage during the draft’s final day Saturday.

“There’s a perception of Detroit that comes from people who actually have not been here,” Stovall said. “What’s so great is when people actually come to Detroit, they are blown away, because Detroit is not what they might have thought.”

There are new hotels, high-end and trendy restaurants and bars along with a skyscraper nearing completion. Challenges continue to exist in some neighborhoods as the city continues to demolish abandoned houses, including more than 25,000 over the past 10 years. Crime has been trending down and homicides are the lowest since 1966.

“We’re not going to lose our balance patting ourselves on the back,” Detroit Police Chief James White said.

Hundreds of uniformed and plainclothes officers from Detroit, county, state and federal agencies will patrol the greater downtown area. White said all the city’s police officers will work shifts during the draft, some downtown, others in neighborhoods.

Bomb-sniffing dogs and other K-9 teams will be flown into Detroit by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which also has pledged to have its tactical team on standby. Intelligence agents are monitoring social media for any threats.

Mayor Mike Duggan devoted some time during his annual State of the City address Wednesday to talk about the importance of the draft turning a lot of eyes on Detroit. Visitors for the draft are “going to see a very different city,” the mayor promised.

“We have a chance to reintroduce Detroit to America,” Duggan said.

The world’s top-ranked golfer is dominating the PGA Tour. Scottie Scheffler won the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Monday morning following a weather delay and restart late Sunday—his fourth win in his last five starts. He added a tartan plaid jacket to his second green jacket at The Masters , which followed wins at The Players Championship and Arnold Palmer Invitational .

Scheffler carded an 8 under par 63 on Saturday to take a 1-stroke lead over Sepp Straka and 2 strokes ahead of his final round playing partner at The Masters, Collin Morikwa. Both those players shot a 1 over par 72 in the final round to fall back.

Scheffler entered Sunday’s final round as the -165 favorite on FanDuel Sportsbook to win the tournament with Straka and Morikawa both +650 and Masters runner-up Ludvig Aberg +1100 sitting 3 shots behind. Scottie was +450 to win at the start of the RBC Heritage .

Golf’s 27-year-old superstar was 3 under par through 11 holes Sunday and 19 under par with a 4-shot lead over six players when play was suspended before resuming 2 1/2 hours later at 7 p.m. ET. Scheffler played three more holes and took a 5-stroke lead into Sunday evening as play was suspended for darkness.

Early Monday he finished off the $20 million signature event with a 3-shot victory at 19 under par to earn another $3.6 million and take his season total to over $18 million. His bogey on the 18th hole ended a streak of 68 consecutive holes at par or better. Sahith Theegala finished second while Patrick Cantlay and Wyndham Clark T3 and Justin Thomas part of a 4-way tie for fifth.

Justin Ray, golf Lead Data Analyst, added a number of posts on X to show Scheffler’s run of dominance. Beyond Scottie being the last player since Tiger Woods in 2008 to win four times in a five-start stretch on the PGA Tour, this post about Scheffler holding the lead following a round 31 times on Tour the past three seasons speaks to Scottie’s spectacular play and dominance. The next closest player to have led or co-led following a round is 16 times.

Scheffler ramains the No. 1 ranked player in the Official World Golf Rankings for the 49th consecutive week. His win at Harbour Town was also the 10th of his career on Tour. It took him 51 tournaments to win his 10th PGA Tour title following his first win. Tiger Woods did it in 59 events with David Duval the fastest from wins 1 to 10 at 33 starts.

Scheffler’s strokes gained stats are simply staggering. Scheffler ranks No. 1 in SG: Total, Tee to Green, Approach, No. 2 Off the Tee and top-10 Around the Green. He’s continued to win despite ranking outside the top 150 in SG: Putting. Scheffler gained more than a stroke both off the tee and on approach shots in his first three rounds at Harbour Town. He has done this in 27.2% of his rounds over the last three seasons. The rest of the PGA Tour has done it 4.7% of the time.

Scheffler then finished off another victory with a strong performance on Sunday at Harbour Town that included this chip-in for eagle from 53 feet off the front right short rough on the Par 5 at hole No. 2.

He’s now played 40 rounds in 2024 and has yet to shoot a round over par. It’s 44 in a row dating back to last year’s Tour Championship in August. Tiger Woods currently holds the Tour record at 52 rounds shooting par or better, which he set during the 2000-01 season.

Scheffler’s desire to win and determination to be the best is shining through despite any pressure that may mount. He’s nearly locked up 2024 PGA Tour Player of the Year honors before the end of April, and commented on his play and performances following rounds 3 and 4 while dealing with any added pressure.

Internally, do you feel less pressure compared to a few months ago when you're out there playing?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: It's tough to answer. I mean, I talked about it a bit at the end of last week. I really love winning, and I don't really like losing at all. It's one of those things where I try to manage the expectations of myself, kind of get that stuff out of the way and then go out there and compete.

Scheffler also added 700 FedEx Cup Playoffs Points to his total by winning the Signature Event at the RBC Heritage. He tops the points list with 3,915 - more than double Wyndham Clark (1,892) with Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Aberg and Sahith Theegala next at more than 1,500 points.

Scheffler is scheduled to compete in the Wells Fargo Championship May 9-12 at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, NC - another $20 million Signature Event. He should be a first-time father by then with wife Meredith expecting their child very soon.

“I definitely will enjoy the birth of my first child, and my priorities will change very soon, so golf will be fourth in line, but I still love competing,” he said last Sunday in the Butler Cabin at The Masters .

He competed at the highest level again without a letdown to win the RBC Heritage. Scheffler will enter the next major as the +450 favorite at the PGA Championship May 16-19 at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, KY. FanDuel Sportsbook also has Scheffler at +6500 odds to win the Grand Slam and all four majors this year.

Scottie Scheffler is showing no signs of letdown and fans and bettors continue to support him despite ultra-low odds to win not seen since Tiger Wood’s dominance.

Nelly Korda Withdraws From JM Eagle LA Championship Following Five Consecutive Victories

World No. 1 Nelly Korda announced her withdrawal from this week's JM Eagle LA Championship after winning her last five tournaments in a row.

Korda is coming off a victory at the first LPGA major of the year , the Chevron Championship on Sunday. It is a historic achievement. Only two women's golfers have won five consecutive tournaments— Annika Sorenstam in 2004-05 and Nancy Lopez in 1978. For men's golfers, Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan and Tiger Woods have accomplished this feat.

As for this week's tournament, Korda admitted she needs to rest after competing at the top of her abilities over the last month.

"It was not an easy decision," Korda said in a statement . "After the unbelievable week at The Chevron and grinding through the mental and physical challenges of four events in the past five weeks, I am definitely feeling exhausted. With so much still to come throughout 2024, I feel I need to listen to my body and get some rest, so I can be ready for the remainder of the season."

Prior to the Chevron Championship, Korda won the LPGA Drive On Championship, the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship, the Ford Championship and the T-Mobile Match Play. At 25 years old, Korda has 13 LPGA wins, including two majors.

As of now, Korda's next scheduled tournament is the Cognizant Founders Cup, which runs from May 9–12. The LPGA's second major of the year is the U.S. Women's Open, which begins on May 30.

(G)I-DLE have announced the venues, as well as additional dates, for their upcoming 2022 world tour.

The group took to social media today (June 29) to release the final list of dates and venues for their world tour, titled ‘Just Me ( )I-DLE’. On top of their original list of tour dates , the group announced that they will also be holding additional shows in Bangkok, Thailand and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The ‘Just Me ( )I-DLE’ tour kicked off with two back-to-back shows in Seoul, South Korea. The group is set to embark on an eight-show tour of the United States including stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and Atlanta early next month.

(G)I-DLE will then perform in Santiago, Chile, Mexico City and Monterrey, Mexico in August. The group will then play concerts in Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Tokyo, before wrapping up in Singapore.

The dates and venues for (G)I-DLE’s world tour are as follows:
