Just come back from my first coach trip

Just come back from my first coach holiday. Our coach was clean and comfy and our driver Craig was very friendly

NO PROBLEMS AT ALL .

I have used Harry Shaw for about 15 years , not 1 problem at all . Many trips to Germany all good .

Joke of a company

Joke of a company. Have only left one star because leaving zero wasn’t an option. We went to Manchester Xmas markets with Harry Shaw and there were mechanical problems with the coach which started at the beginning of the day. Somehow we made it the 80+ miles to Manchester but whilst passengers were away from the coach it finally gave up the ghost. Nearly 50 passengers, mainly pensioners were left for two and a half hours in below zero temperatures for this to be rectified. Two complaints have been sent to the company- all ignored however, a Facebook post stating this was removed within 20 minutes. The company should be ashamed of themselves. If you listen carefully you can hear the now deceased Harry rolling in his grave.

First time using Harry Shaw and one of many! We did the Paris trip 3 nights 4 days. Absolutely thrilled I did. Our lovely driver Craig went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable and got the full experience. A very polite, funny and helpful guide. Paris itself was super lovely seeing many tourist attractions and having the ability to spend time exploring. The Eiffel Tower experience was amazing. Met some wonderful people too! Huge thank you to Craig especially but also Harry Shaw.

Belfast would recommend this trip

We have just returned from a great trip to Belfast. The hotel Armagh City hotel was very good. The rooms were very clean massive comfortable bed and the food excellent. The tours were excellent and Rory our guide round Belfast was very knowledgeable. Our driver Tony was brilliant, especially driving in adverse weather conditions there and back. The return journey was hit by storm Betty. Tony handled it well and we felt safe throughout our trip.

Excellent Company

Booked a day trip with Harry Shaw from Coventry to Western supermare on 22/8/2023 had a great journey best day out and a good Journey back home no problems everything was explained about the departure and where to get the Coach back. Would definitely go with this Company again

Would avoid at all cost. Waste of time and money.

Would avoid at all cost. Wasted a whole weekend missing ferry’s because Harry Shaw can not work out itineraries. Bus driver got lost, Ran red lights and nearly knocked over a guy on a bike which then proceeded to be rude to us passengers. Spent more time sitting on the sardine can coach than actually seeing Paris. Waste of money time and effort.

3 night stay Disneyland Paris

Could not find many reviews of this holiday coach tour company but decided to chance it on a 3 night Disneyland Paris coach tour. We returned this Wednesday, 7th, and despite being cheapest operator by £100 plus each person when we booked a few months ago and there was 4 of us so big saving, we can say we had no problems at all, although we didn't get on/off until Dover Port so only half the time on the coach compared to some others on the same trip. Would we use them again, yes.

We have just returned from a 5 day…

We have just returned from a 5 day break in Weymouth at the Leam hotel, it’s not a posh hotel, but the welcome was second to non all the staff were so helpful and friendly, the room was clean but would benefit from a refit, the food and choices were amazing. Vicky is the Manager, she’s full of fun and try’s to include everyone, Mark the bar man goes the extra mile the rest of the staff were excellent sorry I can’t remember all the names. Thankyou June room 3 xxxx

We are currently on the Rouen Trip

We are currently on the Rouen Trip. Our driver Ashley is fantastic and couldn’t be more helpful. The Holiday Inn Express where we are staying is clean and breakfast ok BUT the hotel does not do evening meals. Unless you want a burger in quite a seedy area there are no restaurants to get an evening meal. The only way to get a meal is three stops on the tram or by taxi and they aren’t always reliable or a twenty minute walk. Ok if you’ve got good health or no mobility issues. Very disappointed. In my opinion the hotel isn’t geared for tourists but more for business use.

Arrived back from Worcester

Arrived back from Worcester, Cardiff & Bath weekend, and still laughing 😂 The weekend was very well organised, and the hotel & food were great. However, the driver, Andy, was something else. The funniest, well hysterical in fact, and most informative coach driver I’ve ever known. The nostalgia and knowledge this man owns is mind blowing. He knew everything there was to know about anything en route to everywhere. Andy’s manners are impeccable, he’s clean & well presented, he’s decent, respectable and respectful and couldn’t do enough for all. I so hope he’s the driver on my next trip with Harry SHAW.

The perfect gentleman

Just returned from Warners Norton Grange on the Isle of Wight with Harry Shaw Travel. We have travelled with Harry Shaw many times before over many years. The holiday included 3 excursions during our 5 day stay. We covered the majority of the Isle of Wight in that time. Our driver Craig was absolutely brilliant during our stay. He was knowledgeable, pleasant, attentive, polite and courteous throughout our stay. We were so lucky to have such a nice gentleman looking after us all. He is a credit to your Company. Thank you Craig.

Trip of a lifetime

I recently had the pleasure of having Derek as our coach driver on a European Classic Tour. Derek and our tour guide, Darius, were amazing and made the tour thoroughly enjoyable. The many varied requests from us tourists were always treated with respect and both Derek and Darius were very accommodating, professional and patient. Derek proved to be a very very competent driver and always put our safety first. The package was incredible value for money and I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a classic European tour.

Great break to Loch Lomond

Just had a lovely 5 day break to Loch Lomond. Tony the driver was amazing and got us safely to our trip destinations. Rob Roy hotel looks old fashioned but the rooms are great and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend 👍

I went on the London /Brighton trip

I went on the London /Brighton trip, arriving home tonight. The driver, Martin was very helpful, friendly & always free to chat even off the clock. Great mini break, excellent value for money & I'll definitely use Harry Shaw again.

Edinburgh Tattoo…

Have just returned from the Edinburgh Tattoo which was great. I must comment on our driver Mick who was so courteous and lovely, he was great throughout the trip. It was such a lovely trip and returning home via The Lake District and stopping in Bowness, Windermere for a couple of hours

Date of experience : 17 August 2022

Booked a day trip for my parents for…

Booked a day trip for my parents for mother's Day to Cotswold and bournton on the water for 21/3/23. Unfortunately my dad became unwell , I informed Harry Shaw asap first thing on the Monday morning their receptionist was not bothered in the slightest, so I sent a complaint by email , again not the slightest bit interested after several emails of complaint they still refused to refund me or rearrange for a later date !. I would definitely reconsider using this company in the future !.

Date of experience : 20 March 2023

Loch Lomond & the Trossachs

Just had a great 5 day Mon-Fri break with Harry Shaw staying at the Rob Roy Hotel. The hotel was clean and room very spacious, staff were helpful and pleasant at all times. Tony our driver was very good and very helpful. Would be happy to travel with HS again and indeed stay at the same hotel at a future date.

Castles Of The Malverns & Cotswolds

Bognor Regis

Bognor Regis has been a seaside fishing settlement since Anglo Saxon times. The resort is flat and has an excellent promenade walk. There is a pier and a delightful park, Hotham Park, which boasts a narrow gauge railway, putting green, crazy golf, tennis court and boating lake. The beach is predominantly pebbly but the water is clean and the quality of the light often remarkable.

Castles Of The Malverns & Cotswolds

Bournemouth

Bournemouth is superbly situated on the sunny South coast on top of spectacular cliffs which look down upon miles of golden sand. It is probably Britain's most international resort. Stroll through the splendid gardens or browse through the remarkable selection of shops. The town is full of flowers and there are beautifully manicured parks and gardens. The Lower Gardens and Central Gardens in particular provide a lush green contrast to the nearby beach.

Castles Of The Malverns & Cotswolds

Eastbourne is one of Britain's more elegant resorts, enjoying a glorious location on the South Coast. Because it is sheltered by Beachy Head and the South Downs it has an excellent sunshine record, always coming around the top of the sunshine league. It has a spacious promenade to stroll along and the world-famous Carpet Gardens line the seafront. There's plenty to see and do with first class shops, cinemas, museums, shows, concerts and dancing in the Winter Gardens.

Castles Of The Malverns & Cotswolds

Sandown (Isle of Wight)

The Isle of Wight has a great deal to offer with many superb sandy beaches, mile upon mile of stunning countryside and coastal walks and all the usual modern holiday facilities in the resorts. Sandown is the island's principal resort, and offers a wealth of entertainments. Sandown Bay is the largest on the island and offers a long, safe, sandy beach framed at either end by stunning white cliffs contrasting with the rich blue sea.

Castles Of The Malverns & Cotswolds

Shanklin (Isle of Wight)

Shanklin boasts a long, safe sandy beach which lies at the foot of the spectacular cliffs on which most of the town is situated. The two are connected by a cliff lift. The traditional seaside part of town blends into the picturesque thatched cottages of Shanklin Old Town at the head of the impressive Shanklin Chine. Although a quieter and more intimate resort than Sandown it nevertheless has its own theatre, lively pubs and entertainments.

First ever coach trip and slightly dubious. Travelled with my elderly mother and 2 teenage daughters. Richard our driver and guide was absolutely amazing. We can't thank him enough. He definitely made the holiday for all of us. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the areas that we travelled through and he was also a very competent driver. And he was always very accomodating, professional and very pleasant. The package was unbelievable value for money. The accommodation was basic but ticked all the necessary boxes. Would definitely recommend.

  • Sleep Quality

Thank you Nicole, Daniel & all staff, just got back from a great holiday here with National Holidays. Really enjoyed our stay (in the annexe rooms), perfectly clean & comfortable great little hotel with good food quality & choice, breakfast quality/choice good too although an extra toaster would have been good. It's in a good location about 10 mins walk to main area/beach/shops etc. The owners/staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them - they went out of their way to make our (Vegetarian) girls' evening meals saying just to write on the back of the daily menu forms what they'd like the next evening(pizza, pasta, omelette etc) if they didn't like the set veggie option on the menu. 😊 Happy with all aspects of our stay here. Would happily recommend it & would be happy to stay at the Nettuno again if we decided to return to the Italian Riviera again in the future. As this was with National Holidays the trips etc included/optional ones were very good too. Thanks to our Drivers Viv & Nick who were very friendly, informative and helpful throughout & we were also lucky to have some really nice people on the coach/holiday too.

  • Cleanliness

Just back from a fabulous week at this well run family hotel. No pool at this hotel but they have arrangement with one directly across the road to use their pool for only 6 euros per day. The hotel deal was all inc, local spirits, wine, beverages etc, all meals were good and always a choice of courses. All very good. Their entertainment was well organised, a very good singer one evening, Raphael, very talented and had everyone up dancing and enjoying the music. A quiz night which was very good fun, and a bingo night which I usually hate but this one was delivered with jokes galore and was all well received. I think this hotel is a jewel worth a visit, the family are lovely and very helpful, we will certainly return and recommend this trip. Our coach drivers were totally amazing, great drivers in very difficult areas, roads, motorways, a credit to the company, thank you Viv and Nick, and big thank you to the Hotel Nettuno and everyone on our trip, we enjoyed the holiday, great value for a 3 star rated, 😎😎😎😎😎

I had a balcony with sea view. The hotel room was well equipped and included hair dryer with tea/coffee. Staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Overall, it was very good value. Although there was no pool, we used a pool in the opposite hotel, which was great and no problem if you didn't want to go to the beach. The resort and beach are about 10 minutes walk away and lively; enjoy the beach aerobics.

My two freinds and I on 16Th. June went with Natioal holidays to this hotel. The hotel is a family run hotel . Nothing is to much trouble for Nicole,Danny.ect. Clean and tidy food excellant ,tea and coffee in the room.market day they will drop you off and pick you up in the mini bus. The two drivers Garry and Dave also excellant drivers and very knowable and they made the jorney more enjoyable . The other holiday makers on the coach were lovely also Carol and her family who sat by me on the coach lovely family .Thanks everyone for being part of our lovely memories.x

Erik ten Hag gives Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay injury update ahead of Manchester United vs Bournemouth

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford may be fit in time to feature in Manchester United ’s trip to Bournemouth , but the game has come too soon for Scott McTominay .

United travel to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday evening with Erik ten Hag ’s side still ravaged by injuries, especially in the defence.

Raphael Varane, Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof are all sidelined, leaving Harry Maguire and teenager Willy Kambwala as the only fit centre-backs.

Moreover, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are still in the treatment room, meaning United don’t have any left-backs available either.

Further up the pitch there are problems as well, after forward Rashford hobbled off during the 2-2 draw against Liverpool last Sunday.

Initially, the England international allayed fears about the injury and Ten Hag has now revealed that the 26-year-old is back in training and could well play against Bournemouth.

‘Rashy trained yesterday, so how he recovered from it today, we have another training today and then we will make a decision on it,’ the manager said in his pre-match press conference on Friday.

Manchester United star Scott McTominay

Unfortunately, it’s not good news for McTominay after the Scotland midfielder missed the Liverpool clash with a knee injury.

Asked about his availability, Ten Hag added: ‘Scott, I don’t think so.

‘We have a training, so we have a day, he will push, he is so keen to be a part of it tomorrow, so it’s very questionable.’

United’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League are all but over after a run of just one win in six league games, and they now face a fight just to qualify for the Europa League.

The Red Devils are sixth in the table with West Ham, Newcastle, Chelsea and Brighton all within six points behind.

Worse still for Ten Hag, he faces a Bournemouth side who are unbeaten in five, winning four, form that saw Andoni Iraola win Premier League Manager of the Month for March.
