Featured Highlights
Dramatic scenery.
You’re constantly aware of the power of nature in Hawaii, where the lush scenery is like something out of another world. Jagged cliffs, beaches of glittering black sand, ribbon-like waterfalls cascading from emerald escarpments, and smoldering volcanoes catch your eye at every turn. You’ll see pounding surf, limpid lagoons, and sometimes a snowy cap on the highest mountains. Explore bamboo forests and plunging gorges. At night, look up at the astonishing array of stars.
Unique Culture
Hawaiian people feel a deep connection to nature and embrace the spirit of Aloha, which means living in harmony with nature and the people around you. Beliefs are expressed through beautiful chants, music, graceful hula, and art. Stories relayed from one generation to the next invoke the spirits and the historical events that have shaped the islands. Natural phenomena are understood as the work of gods and goddesses, and many locations and animals are regarded as sacred.
Intriguing Cuisine
Hawaii boasts a unique cuisine, with influences from Polynesia, Japan, and America. Taste fresh tuna poke bowls, sweet pineapple, and juicy strawberry papaya. Try lomi lomi, salted salmon with tomatoes, onions, and hot peppers. Sample local chocolate and enjoy coffee made from Kona beans. Experience everything from delicate sushi and sashimi to moco loco. Look out for spam, a local favorite, served in wontons or as Spam musubi with rice and nori.

Top Hawaii FAQs
What is the best time of year to take a cruise to Hawaii?
The best time of year to visit Hawaii is from March to September, when you can expect warm temperatures and less rain. Hawaii is, however, a year-round destination, with great snorkeling, hiking, and beach life at any time of year.
How long does a typical cruise last?
Our Hawaiian cruises last from nine to 13 nights, sailing between Vancouver and Honolulu. You could also choose a transpacific cruise, starting or ending in Honolulu. These longer voyages range from 16 to 19 nights.
What are the main ports of call?
The main ports of call in Hawaii are Honolulu, from where our cruises start or finish, and Hilo and Kona, both on the Big Island. On some itineraries, you’ll also enjoy scenic cruising along the Napali Coast on Kauai, a sacred landscape of emerald cliffs, pristine beaches, and jagged mountain ridges. Some cruises also visit Astoria in Oregon before the Pacific crossing to Hawaii.
What should I pack?
Hawaii is a tropical destination with year-round warm weather and high humidity. Pack for beach days, and if you’re an active kind of traveler, hikes and adventures. Swimwear, sunblock, coverups, beach shoes, a sun hat, and proper footwear for hiking should all be on your list.
Throughout the ship, casual resort wear, sundresses, shorts, polos, or button-downs are appropriate, paired with sandals, low heels, and loafers. In main and specialty dining, we ask guests to refrain from wearing swimsuits, see-through coverups or robes, bare feet, tank tops, T-shirts, and baseball caps.
Smart Casual attire is required for entry to main dining, specialty dining, and the Celebrity Theatre. Smart Casual means you look comfortable yet tasteful in a dress, skirt, long pants, or jeans with a stylish top or button-down. Shorts and flip-flops are not considered Smart Casual.
Each itinerary features one to two more “formal” nights that we call Evening Chic. Evening Chic means you dress to impress, glamorous and sophisticated in your own way, with a cocktail dress, skirt, slacks, or designer jeans, an elegant dress top, or blazer—some guests even pack a tuxedo or gown for onboard photos.
The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening. If you do not wish to participate in Evening Chic, Smart Casual attire is acceptable for dining and attending the theatre.
Can I fly to Hawaii and then cruise the islands?
Our cruises to Hawaii operate one-way either to or from Honolulu and Vancouver (or Sydney, Australia in terms of transpacific voyages). So yes, if you pick a Honolulu to Vancouver departure, you can easily fly to Hawaii and spend a few days exploring before embarking on your Celebrity ship.
Do I need a passport?
For Hawaii cruises that either begin or end in Vancouver, Canadian law requires that all persons entering Canada carry proof of citizenship and identity. A valid U.S. passport, passport card, or NEXUS card satisfies these requirements for U.S. citizens.
If you have chosen to visit Hawaii as part of a transpacific cruise, you’ll also need a passport.
Non-U.S. citizens also require a passport for entry into both the U.S. and Canada (and the countries visited on our transpacific cruises). It is your responsibility to check your government’s website for the latest information about entry and visa requirements.
What kind of activities and excursions are available?
Hawaii offers a wonderful range of activities and experiences. From Kona, join a snorkel or submarine tour to admire the spectacular underwater world. Meet local producers and try island-made coffee and chocolate, or explore the lush interior of the Big Island in a 4x4, stopping to cool off under tumbling waterfalls.
Historic Hilo is also famous as the gateway to magnificent falls and verdant rainforest. Admire the dramatic lava landscapes of the Volcanoes National Park shaped by the still-active Kilauea and Mauna Loa volcanoes. In Honolulu, make time to visit Pearl Harbor, or stroll along the iconic Waikiki Beach.

If you’re looking to make an exotic destination your next vacation, let’s talk about the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of Hawaii. The answers are as follows: visit Hawaii on a Carnival cruise (of course), and… visit Hawaii because this place is simply spectacular! Take a Hawaii cruise and explore exotic locations spread across four islands — the Hawaiian island chain is home to names you know, like Maui, Kona and Honolulu. These spots feature postcard-worthy waterfalls, volcanoes and some of the world’s most stunning, sunning beaches. You’ll find these spread across an island chain so otherworldly that you may forget you’re in the states! Best of all, that postcard you’re sure to send home will require only domestic postage.
- Experience some of the world's most famous beaches.
- Get up-close with a volcanic mountain.
- Hula it up at a real luau.

Things to Do on a Hawaii Cruise with Norwegian Cruise Line
Get in the Aloha spirit with an exciting trip to Hawaii with Norwegian Cruise Line. While you are in the islands, be sure to visit the Pearl Harbor Memorial, attend a Luau and visit the Molokini Crater.
- Luau Kalamaku (Kauai) Some would say that if there’s one thing you can’t miss out on while cruising to Hawaii, it’s a true luau experience. The beautiful hula dancers, the fire performers, the knives, the pig and, of course, the smiles—make sure you book a luau for your Norwegian Hawaiian cruise.
- Pearl Harbor & Honolulu city (Honolulu) Enjoy a day of contrast with this excursion. You’ll start with a serious and yet inspiring trip to Pearl Harbor, where you can pay your respects and learn a bit of history. Then you can view the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, located in an dormant volcano crater, before spending some time in the incredible city and heading back to the airport.
- Volcano & Rainbow Falls (Hilo) For a scenic excursion filled with tropical beauty, this is a perfect excursion. It includes time at the Wailuku River State Park and Rainbow falls, the Akatsuka Orchid Gardens and Volcanoes National Park, where the great history of volcanoes in this region is on display. You’ll even walk through a lava tube in this amazing excursion.
- Historic Kona (Kona) Experience the full Gold Coast experience with this excursion. You’ll see the grandeur of ancient temples, the pungent delight of coffee fields and of course, try a macadamia nut or two. Stop at the Kona coffee house, enjoy Kealakekua Bay sea views, and visit St. Benedict’s magnificent painted church. All this, and more with this Kona vista.
- Molokini Crater & Turtle Snorkel (Maui) Spend some time in the Molokini islet, which is known as one of the top ten snorkel sites in the entire world. The creatures will astound you, and soon after you’ll have the chance to visit the Turtle Arches where you may come face to face with the famed Hawaiian green sea turtle.
- Captain Zodiac Raft, Snorkel & Dolphin Adventure (Kona) This adventurous excursion is sure to get your heart pumping and put a smile on your face. Jump aboard a 24-foot raft and ride down the coast. You’ll be able to see incredible marine life, snorkel in the blue waters and explore sea caves on the return ride.

Best Hawaii Cruise Deals
Cruisers traveling to Hawaii should expect longer sailings between around seven and 30 days. Travelers can depart from ports along the West Coast of the United States, like San Diego and Seattle, and will have the chance to visit beautiful islands like Kauai, Maui and Oahu. Some itineraries sail on to the South Pacific, featuring stops in picturesque destinations like Bora Bora and Tahiti. Popular shore excursions on Hawaiian cruises include hiking among volcanoes and waterfalls, attending luaus, snorkeling, whale watching and more.
Keep in mind, a Hawaiian cruise will be a pricier option than other types of cruises. Prices may start at around $200 for an inside room and about $475 for a suite per person, per night, depending on the cruise line you choose. Lines that sail to Hawaii range from budget-friendly options like Carnival and Royal Caribbean to more luxurious lines like Regent Seven Seas and Crystal Cruises, so prices vary considerably. Hawaii cruise fares are at their most expensive during the winter, early spring and summer, so consider traveling in the offseason to get a better cruise deal.

Region Russia Rivers
Local Time 2024-04-25 00:22
Moscow is a Volga River cruise port, Russia's capital and largest city (population over 12,2 million, metro 17 million). Moscow City covers a total area of approx 2610 km 2 (970 mi2). By population, the city is ranked the world's 14th largest. Moscow is one of the Russian Federation's all 3 federal cities - together with St Petersburg and Sevastopol .
Being Russian Federation's capital, Moscow is a major economic, political, scientific and cultural center, as well as Europe's biggest city.
According to Forbes 2013, Moscow has been ranked as the 9th most expensive city in the world by Mercer and has one of the largest urban economies, being ranked as an alpha global city according to Globalization and World Cities Research Network. It is also one of the fastest-growing tourist destinations in the world according to MasterCard Global Destination Cities Index. Moscow is the northernmost and the coldest megacity and metropolis on the Earth. It's home to Ostankino Tower, the tallest free-standing European structure; the Federation Tower, the tallest European skyscraper; and the Moscow International Business Center.
Moscow is situated on Moskva River in the Central Federal District of European Russia, which makes it the most populated inland city in the world. Moscow city is well known for architecture, particularly its historic buildings like Saint Basil's Cathedral. With over 40% of its territory covered by greenery, it's one of the greenest capitals and major cities in Europe and the world. Moscow is the seat of power of the Russian Government, being the site of Moscow Kremlin, a medieval city-fortress that is now the residence of the President of Russia. Moscow Kremlin and Red Square are among the several World Heritage Sites in the city.
Moscow has 2 passenger terminals, North River Terminal (Rechnoy vokzal) and South River Terminal. The regular ship routes and cruises along Moskva and Oka rivers are used mostly for entertainment. North River Terminal (1937-built) is currently the main hub for long-range routes along the river. There are 3 freight ports that serve Moscow.
In late-July 2021 the city announced plans to incorporate a fleet (unspecified number) of fully electric passenger ferries into its public transportation network from summer 2022, the goal being to reduce the dependence on cars.
- The boats are designed with length ~22 m (72 ft), passenger capacity 42, modern amenities (Wi-Fi, USB charging points, tables for working commuters), spaces for storing scooters and bicycles.
- Moscow Transport confirmed that two routes (with max daily capacity ~16,000 passengers) have already been mapped out.
- Passengers will be able to pay via bank cards, the city’s Troika card (smart card for travel by any public transportation) or biometric payment cards. Those with monthly/yearly public transit tickets will use the boats at no extra cost.
- The new electric ferry service is up to 5 times faster (in comparison to other city public transports) and ~2 times faster than by car.
Moscow cruise terminal
Moscow's cruise terminal is called North River Terminal or River Station ("Rechnoy Vokzal" / "ÑеÑной вокзал").
The terminal was opened in 1937 and is one of 2 passenger terminals (the other being South River Terminal) of the city's river transport. North River Terminal is the main hub for long-range (including cruise) shipping routes.
South River Terminal (above photo) was opened in 1985.

GO CHASING WATERFALLS
Hawaiian cruises.
Experience Aloha with a cruise to Hawaii.
Just the word "Hawaii" conjures visions of turquoise waves lapping at colourful sands, a rich historical tapestry that's as Polynesian as it is American and a welcoming culture you can distill into a single word: Aloha. Once you arrive, trace the history of Pearl Harbor on Oahu, where you can tour battleships and see the memorial to that fateful day in 1941. Cruise to Hawaii and head to the Big Island for an experience unlike any other. Chase the waterfalls on the slopes of Mauna Kea. Or enjoy the sun and surf on the remote shores of Kauai and Maui. Discover the magic with a Hawaiian cruise.

LET ADVENTURE FLOW
Hawaii offers some of the world’s best in outdoor exploration. The best Hawaii cruises allow you to trek through the lush Hana Rainforest, or through the jet black sands of Punalu’u Beach.
HIT THE BEACH
Hawaii is a group of islands with hundreds of beaches. Do you cruise to Oahu and hit Waikiki — where the people-watching is as good as the tanning — or to the scenic Napali Coast of underrated Kauai? Decisions, decisions.
RAINFOREST BATHE
Hawaii offers a tropical twist on the hip travel hobby called "forest bathing." It's all the rage among spiritually minded travelers these days and a great way to see nature up close. Hike to Rainbow Falls on the Big Island, or through the lush Hana Rainforest on Maui.
DIVE INTO THE CULTURE
Hawaii might look like a postcard, but it's more than just a pretty face. Your Hawaii cruise will let you counterbalance naps on Waikiki with a tour of the USS Missouri at Pearl Harbour or a visit to Iolani Palace, the residence of Hawaii's royal family.
MONUMENTS OF THE PAST
No trip to Oahu is complete without paying your respects to the victims of Pearl Harbour at the USS Arizona Memorial. However, there's a lot more to Hawaiian history. You should also learn about Hawaii's Polynesian heritage at Honolulu's Iolani Palace, the former home of the long-ruling Kamehameha dynasty.
GET TO KNOW YOUR MORNING JOE
When imagining Hawaiian drinks, you might think of a fruity drink with an umbrella, but the state is the only permanent coffee producer in the US. Head to the Big Island to tour the plantations where the good stuff is grown, from famous Kona Coffee to craft producer Mount Thunder.
WALK IN THE WAYS OF OLD
Hawaii's Polynesian past is still palpable today. On Oahu, check out the Polynesian Cultural Centre, where you can tour six different recreations of traditional villages. Watch a Polynesian dance, play ancient games that have been handed down through the generations and learn the old ways of fishing without a net.

QUANTUM OF THE SEAS
Quantum of the Seas® takes you on an epic adventure to the best of Hawaii. Hang ten on Waikiki Beach one minute. Then savour a fresh roast of coffee grown in the ancient lava fields of Kailua Kona the next. And in between, fill your days with endless onboard thrills like RipCord® by iFLY® skydiving simulator, delicious dining options and top-notch entertainment.
Plan some slower days during your trip to jibe with the leisure-loving locals. The phrase 'island time' isn't a joke.
Don't discount mainstream destinations like Oahu's Pearl Harbour and Kilauea on the Big Island – they're popular for a reason!
While some best practices (like not walking too close to volcanoes) are obvious, be aware of lesser-known laws. For example, it's actually illegal to hike up Honolulu's popular Haiku Stairs.
CUISINE POI, PORK AND POKE
Seafood is an important part of the Hawaiian diet, but there's so much more to enjoy. Visit Hawaii and prepare for a feast like no other, with nods to Polynesia, Japan and even the American heartland.
Poke bowls are a great way to enjoy Hawaii's renowned ahi tuna. Ahi tuna has become famous all over America, most commonly seared and added to Asian-style salads. The best way to sample this Hawaiian favourite, however, is in bowl form. There are several varieties of poke, with modern versions substituting avocado and spicy mayo for classic accompaniments like seaweed and rice.
POLYNESIAN PORK
Is there any meal more Polynesian than a whole, roasted pig? Vegetarians have plenty of choices in Hawaii, but this isn't one of them. After cooking for hours over an open flame, this tender meat is plucked off the bone and plated, or sandwiched in a Hawaiian roll.
POI, THE TASTY PASTE
Taro root is a common food in the Asia-Pacific region, but usually not in the US – outside of Hawaii, at least. The purple paste known as poi is a puree of this much-loved root vegetable, and it pairs well with other Hawaiian staples, such as the aforementioned Kalua pork (dip it!) and fresh fish.

New Drone Strikes on Moscow Target Defense, Cyber Operations Hubs
Russia said it had suppressed a drone attack on Moscow carried out by Ukraine which it has accused of "international terrorism."
Russian media reported that two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) carrying explosives struck buildings in the center of the capital around 4 a.m. on Monday, causing damage and blowing out windows.
The Russian news outlet 112 reported that the roof of a two-story building on Komsomolsky Prospect had been destroyed and windows were broken in a building opposite.
Investigative journalist Christo Grozev tweeted that it was significant that the strike took place just across from the headquarters of the cyber operations hubs of the foreign military intelligence agency, the GRU, as well as other military units.
Glass from the 17th and 18th floors of a business center on Likhachev Avenue was damaged in the other strike, Tass news agency reported.
One video on social media shows a drone buzzing the Moscow skyline while other footage shows the damage caused.
In a statement on Telegram, the Russian defense ministry said that the drone strikes were "an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack" but that the UAVs had been thwarted.
Moscow city mayor Sergei Sobyanin said no one was injured. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told state broadcaster RTVI that the incident was "an act of international terrorism."
Ukrainian officials are often coy about drone strikes in Russia, hinting they are behind them without directly admitting responsibility. A previous drone attack on Moscow targeted the Kremlin on May 3 before Russia celebrated Victory Day.
Kyiv has not commented on the latest incidents and Newsweek has contacted the Ukrainian defense ministry for comment.
It comes as the Russian-appointed head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, said on Monday that Ukrainian drones had caused an explosion at an ammunition depot in the occupied peninsula's Dzhankoi region.

- Putin's Navy parade preparations hint at drone attack fears
Aksyonov said Russian air defense shot down 11 drones and that locals in villages within three miles of the explosion have been evacuated.
'Retaliation'
The strikes follow a warning from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that there would be "retaliation" for a Russian missile attack on the Black Sea port of Odesa which killed two people and badly damaged a UNESCO-listed Orthodox cathedral.
Clergymen rescued icons from rubble inside the cathedral which was demolished under Soviet leader Joseph Stalin in 1936 and rebuilt in the 1990s after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Kyiv said the destruction of the Orthodox Savior and Transfiguration Cathedral under UNESCO protection in the city center was a "war crime that will never be forgotten and forgiven."
