Welcoming more than 75,000 visitors at each edition, with two editions a year, you will find plenty of entertainment, from Asian culture to geek culture entertainment and activities. If you come by public transport from Paris, we recommend the following routes. Remember to buy an "Île-de-France" ticket at the nearest ticket office: Ticket T+ (metro) are not valid on these routes. You have to buy ticket zone 4 at the counter or at the vending machine in the station.

The items are available in French and Japanese which is great for those who would like to learn Japanese in an entertaining way.

This concept store sells manga, books teaching you how to draw manga, snacks and other Japan-oriented items .

What makes it unique is the first floor of the shop: it is an affordable reading space (only €4 per hour). You can sit down on one of the sofas and read any manga you would like while drinking as many free Japanese beverages as you want (sodas and flavored waters).

It is perfect for those who do not want to buy manga or for those who just want to show this world to somebody else. You cannot borrow the manga and take them home; you can only read them in the shop.

It's a... a friendly, affordable place an atypical concept store, which brings together an impressive library , a shop , a Video Games area and a restaurant area with drinks and bento. The principle is simple, you pay as you go. It's a very affordable Parisian activity since 1 hour of presence only costs 3€ or 4€.

THE READING SPACE (LIBRARY) OF THE MANGA CAFÉ

It has the largest manga library in France. with over 18.000 references . The Manga Café is enriched every week according to new publications and releases.

Does your child or teen want to spend some time there? A simple registration at the reception desk and then you pay for the time spent. The 1st hour of reading costs 3€ in off-peak hours and 4€ in peak hours. and then every extra 1/2 hour costs 1,50€. A budget that remains very reasonable .

This rate gives full library access (18,000 books to read), hot or cold drinks at will, to Arcade video games (vintage and PS4 arcade terminals) and wi-fi .

Today, we kick our anime tour off by heading to the Electronic Town of Akihabara. Before we head to the main shopping area, we will take a brief walk to the anime-famous Kanda Shrine. Famously featured in anime such as Love Live! and collaborating with hit anime & manga like My Hero Academia, Kanda Shrine is the only shrine to offer good luck charms for electronics and anime characters.

We make our way back to the main street where you can enjoy shopping at some of the most popular otaku destinations, including Animate. Animate carries all kinds of character goods, electronics, and games from current and popular anime/manga series. There's plenty of free time in Akihabara, so Japan Deluxe Tours recommends exploring Super Potato for vintage games, SEGA arcade, visit a Maid Cafe, or just explore the area.

After our adventures in Akihabara, we will visit the anime specialized shopping complex: Nakano Broadway. Explore the many stores dedicated to anime and otaku goods or try the eight-layer ice-cream they serve downstairs!

We then head to Mitaka for a visit to the famed Ghibli Museum. This animation and art museum exhibits the works of Miyazaki Hayao, creator of world renown animated films such as My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. Ghibli Studio fans will certainly enjoy the artistic museum, which not only exhibits the history and techniques of animation but also plays short movies in a theater room, produced exclusively for the museum.

The tour will end the day at Shibuya Parco. It has the latest anime spot called Cyberspace Shibuya which has become a popular spot in recent years. You can find the very first Nintendo shop, Nintendo Tokyo, the stylish Pokemon Center Shibuya, Capcom store, Jump shop and much more.

Today’s the big day of the international anime convention – AnimeJapan! Join the many cosplayers and anime lovers in the biggest Anime event in the world. Everything from anime, manga, figurines, to video games, guest speakers, and event exclusive merchandise are all accessible. Enjoy your day exploring the grounds and meeting people with the same passion as you!

You can also go to Small World Tokyo (additional cost required). The attraction specializes in miniature models all made to scale. Not your typical models, Small Worlds has created unique worlds based on fantasy and space exploration as well as special models based on Sailor Moon and Evangelion. With moving parts within each model, feel as though you are truly watching each world in real time.

Your tour group will then assemble again at 2PM and head to the iconic 72 ft Unicorn Gundam Model. Replacing the previously standing 59 ft RX-78-2 Gundam, the Unicorn Gundam at the Tokyo Gundam Base is a must for any fan of Gundam or Japan's Robot Culture.

Next, we will head to the unique and interactive Ninja Trick House. You will learn about the way of the Ninja, touch a Japanese sword, throw Shuriken star blades, and take pictures with Ninja to complete your own ninja training regimen.

After a busy afternoon, the tour will take you to have a short break with Godzilla! Located on the rooftop, Godzilla has found home in Shinjuku at Café Bonjour for the time being. Here, enjoy a Godzilla themed cake set with your choice of drink. Once done, you can take pictures of/with the HUGE Godzilla.

We start off our Tokyo tour with a visit to Tokyo's Tsukiji Fish Market, the former home of the world-famous tuna auction. Browse through the freshest flavors, mouth-watering dishes, and incredible sushi meals at this market that serves over thousands of businesses and local families daily before we explore the rest of the sights in Tokyo!

Then we are off to discover Harajuku to explore the famous Takeshita Street. The area is filled with cute shops, delicious crepes, high end stores, and beautiful cafés and restaurants. Don't forget to check out the Cat Café and Headgehog café for those who love animals. Anime fans may recall Takeshita Street from scenes featured in Death Note.

We will then make our way to the famous Shibuya Crosswalk to be part of the thousands who cross daily. This crosswalk gathers as much foot traffic as New York City, and crossing is an experience unlike any other. We will also visit the popular Hachiko Statue close to the station. The statue is based on the internationally-known story of Hachiko, the dog who would come back to the station every day to see his owner. As an iconic area, the crosswalk and surrounding areas are often featured in animes, most notably Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ravens.

For lunch, enjoy a Japanese seasonal dining experience.The tour will then head to the old town district of Asakusa where you can purchase traditional Japanese souvenirs at the Nakamise area and explore Senso-ji Temple, the oldest and the most popular temples in Tokyo. Boiled in one of the vents, it is said that eating one of these eggs will add 7 years to your life! We will also visit the Hakone Shrine. You may also recognize the shrine in the iconic Neon Genesis Evangelion series.

Your Japan tour would not be complete without a long relaxing soak in the onsen (Japanese hot springs), to rejuvenate you for tomorrow’s adventure. An informal, cotton Kimono or Yukata will be provided for you to wear at the ryokan. Your vacation's ryokan includes a hot-spring onsite to enjoy at your leisure during your night's accommodation.

Our day begins with a bullet train ride to Kyoto. The bullet train is the fastest way to travel on land and is considered an essential Japanese experience. Enjoy riding to Kyoto in comfort and speed, and be sure to take some photos of the scenery during your ride.

Upon arrival in Kyoto, we will stop for a kaiten sushi lunch and at a sake museum for some sampling and to learn the history of Japan's national drink.

Afterwards, it's off to Nara to Todaiji Temple. Todaiji Temple holds the World Guinness Record as the largest wooden building. Inside the temple, you will behold the largest Buddha statue in Japan. Just outside the temple is the Nara Deer Park, where you will be greeted by numerous deer that roam around freely. The deer here at the park are known to be friendly and may even bow at you for a little treat.

We end the evening at Kyoto Station for an illumination light show, projected on the staircase of the station. The light shows are often themed after traditional aspects of Japanese culture as well as highlighting the city of Kyoto as well.

Today, our Kyoto tour begins with a visit to Arashiyama. The morning's sunlight passing through the bamboo makes for a perfect morning sight. We will also enjoy a spirited rickshaw ride through the bamboo grove. You will be welcomed by the friendly smiles of the Rickshaw drivers who are both entertaining and very knowledgeable. They will also take amazing pictures for you in the Bamboo forest that you will want to show all your friends back home.

Following our time in Arashiyama, we will head to the Golden Pavilion, or Kinkakuji Temple, a Japan’s must see attraction where the two upper floors are covered in gold leaf. The reflection of the golden temple on the lake adds to the stunning sight. Kinkakuji has also been featured in popular anime series K-ON! and Seitokai Yakuindomo .

Next, enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience with a Maiko lunch. Maiko are apprentice to Geisha. During the lunch, you will able to see her perform Japanese traditional dances, chances to take photos, and ask questions about her life as a Maiko. It is a great opportunity to learn about Kyoto's traditional culture.

We will then head to Fushimi Inari Shrine, one of Kyoto's many can't miss destinations that features hundreds of red torii gates. The path is perfect for photos or to just calm your mind. You will be sure to find very familiar scenery as the shrine is the main stage for Inari Kon Kon, Koi Iroha . You can also find fox masks similar to those featured in Demon Slayer as well!

Our last stop of the day will be the ancient street of Ninenzaka. The street is filled with shops and souvenir stands as well as a great place for photos and to see what Japan looked like many years ago. We will also partake in a hands-on lesson on the tea ceremony. Learn about the history and meaning behind the ceremony as you watch it being performed before your eyes. Try your hand at making a traditional cup of matcha! We then proceed to the hotel.

For those interested in character figures, a stop by Tamashii Nations cannot be overlooked as they are the premier figurine shop and exhibit in Akihabara. There's plenty of free time in Akihabara, so Japan Deluxe Tours recommends exploring Super Potato for vintage games, SEGA arcade, visit a Maid Cafe, or just explore the area.

We will visit the anime specialized shopping complex: Nakano Broadway. Explore the many stores dedicated to anime and otaku goods or try the eight-layer ice-cream they serve downstairs! Once we finish up at Nakano Broadway, we head east to visit the famed Ghibli Museum. We will then make our way to the famous Shibuya Crosswalk to be part of the thousands who cross daily. This crosswalk gathers as much foot traffic as New York City, and crossing is an experience unlike any other.

Our day unfolds with a pilgrimage to the *Chureito, a monumental structure symbolizing the region's deep spiritual and historical roots. Towering gracefully, it pays homage to the souls of the past and offers a vantage point where one can behold the juxtaposition of its solemnity against the grandeur of nature.

As midday beckons, we treat our senses to a culinary interlude with a sumptuous Hoto lunch. Renowned for its comforting warmth and rich flavors, this local delicacy provides an authentic taste of the region's culinary heritage, serving not just as a meal, but a journey through time.

We then venture to Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba, an idyllic village perched by Lake Saiko. This sanctuary of serenity and tradition offers a vivid tapestry of historical architecture, artisan crafts, and pristine landscapes – a true embodiment of Japan's enduring spirit.

As we bid adieu to the day's adventures, the swift and sleek Shinkansen awaits to whisk us to our next destination. Revel in the marvel of modern engineering as Japan's iconic bullet train transports you with unparalleled speed and comfort.

We will start heading to Fushimi Inari Shrine, one of Kyoto's many can't miss destinations that features hundreds of red tori gates. The path is perfect for photos or just to calm your mind.

On the way back to Kyoto, we will stop for a kaiten sushi lunch and at a sake museum for some sampling and to learn the history of Japan's national drink.

Today, our Kyoto tour begins with a visit to Arashiyama to walk through the Bamboo Groove Forest. The morning's sunlight passing through the bamboo makes for a perfect morning sight. We will also enjoy a spirited rickshaw ride through Arashiyama. Guests can enjoy seeing many of the traditional-style shops and temples during the ride. Following our time in Arashiyama, we will head to the Golden Pavilion, or Kinkakuji Temple, a Japan’s must see attraction where the two upper floors are covered in gold leaf. The reflection of the golden temple on the lake adds to the stunning sight.

Next, enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience with a Maiko. Maiko are apprentice to Geisha and it is a great chance to take photos and learn about Kyoto's traditional culture.

After we take our photos, we head out to the ancient street of Ninenzaka. The street is filled with shops and souvenir stands as well as a great place for photos and to see what Japan looked like many years ago. We will also partake in a hands-on lesson on the tea ceremony. Learn about the history and meaning behind the ceremony as you watch it being performed before your eyes. Try your hand at making a traditional cup of matcha! We then proceed to the hotel.

3 IAS officers misused funds, upgraded stay on Paris trip, reveals audit report

An audit report by the director general of audit (central), chandigarh, revealed the three ias officers extended their stay in paris, upgraded their hotel accommodation, and approved each other's trips, bypassing the rules and guidelines..

Three senior IAS officers spent an excess of Rs 6.72 lakh of taxpayer’s money during a trip to Paris in June 2015, an audit report by the Director General of Audit (Central), Chandigarh, revealed.

Vijay Kumar Dev, who served as the Advisor to the Administrator of Chandigarh at the time, Anurag Aggarwal, the then Home Secretary of Chandigarh, and Vikram Dev Dutt, the then Secretary (Personnel), have come under scrutiny for the misuse of taxpayer funds.

They allegedly extended their stay in Paris, upgraded their hotel accommodation, and approved each other's trips, bypassing the rules and guidelines.

In 2015, the Chandigarh administration received an invitation from the Foundation Le Corbusier, located in Paris. The invitation was for a meeting, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier, who had contributed to Chandigarh's master plan.

The administration nominated four participants for this event. The Home Ministry demanded certificates for Vijay Dev, Vikram Dev Dutt, and Anurag Aggarwal. The travel program was arranged and approved.

However, the audit report found that the officers were approving each other's trips. Vijay Dev approved Vikram Dutt's trip, and Dutt approved Dev's trip. Vijay Dev also approved Anurag Aggarwal's trip.

The audit report has revealed that the initial budget for the trip was Rs 18 lakh, which escalated to over Rs 25 lakh, with business-class tickets costing approximately Rs 1.77 lakh each and hotel accommodations exceeding the original budget by a significant margin.

The audit report highlights that the visit was initially approved for one day but was later extended to seven days without proper approval, violating the norms that limit foreign travel visits to five days without obtaining prior approval.

The audit report found that the invitation was meant for Chandigarh's Chief Architect. Instead, three Secretary-level officers attended, all at the expense of the taxpayer.

The report also revealed that the trip was not sponsored by the hosting foundation.

One of these officers has now retired while the other two have been transferred and hold different positions.

In response to the audit report's findings, the Chandigarh Administration has taken measures to curb wasteful spending, including banning air travel to Delhi and mandating train travel and government accommodation for official trips. Published By: Rishabh Sharma Published On: Apr 11, 2024

Sastanak grupe na aerodromu Nikola Tesla u dogovoreno vreme (ukoliko vam više odgovara, postoji mogućnost polazaka sa drugih aerodroma: Zagreb, Budimpešta…).  Let do Zanzibara sa usputnim presedanjima…

2. dan: Zanzibar

Dolazak na Zanzibar. Transfer do Stone Towna i smeštanje u hotel u centru grada. Slobodno vreme za odmor. U popodnevnim satima upoznajemo grad koji je dom mnogim kulturama: Svahili, arapskoj, indijskoj a prisutan je i uticaj zapadne kulture. Imaćemo priliku da vidimo kuću u kojoj je živeo Fredi Merkjuri, pevač čuvene grupe Queen, Palatu Čuda, Sultanovu palatu, Staru tvrdjavu, tržnicu robova odnosno tamnice gde su čuvani robovi pre prodaje, Anglikansku crkvu i centar svih dešavanja za lokalce, mesto gde se na najbolji način upoznaje mentalitet naroda, Darajani pijacu. U večernjim satima sledi odlazak na Fordohani pijacu i uživanje u lokalnim specijalitetima poput školjki, lignji, sabljarki, hobotnica, zanzibarskih palačinki, indijskih hlebova, prženih banana…Povratak u smeštaj.  Noćenje.

3. dan: Prison island (Changuu ostrvo)

Slobodan dan ili vam predlažemo fakultativni odlazak do Prison island-a, koje je udaljeno nekih 6 km od Stone Town-a. Na idiličnom ostrvu nalaze se prostorije koje su davno korišćene kao zatvor za kriminalce, a kasnije pretvorene u prostorije za karantin obolelim od žute groznice. Ostrvo je dom džinovskim kornjačama koje mogu da porastu i do jednog metra i žive duže od sto godina, a najstarija medju njima ima 192 godine! Očekuje nas i kupanje na prelepoj peščanoj plaži ostrva i odmor u hladovini stena i prelepog rastinja. Ponesite maske ili naočare za ronjenje i istražite morske dubine koralnog grebena. Povratak u Stone Town.  Noćenje.

4. Farma začina

Slobodan dan ili poludnevni fakultativni izlet do farme začina gde ćemo imati priliku da vidimo kako uzgajaju tropsko voće, orašaste plodove i začinsko bilje po kojem su čuveni: muskantni oraščić, crni biber, korijander, cimet, djumbir, kurkumu, vanilu i druge, da saznamo ko je kraljica, a ko kralj začina, vidimo kako se lokalni stanovnici uz pesmu penju na palmu neverovatnom brzinom, a potom degustiramo vodu i meso sveže ubranog, mladog kokosa, ručamo nacionalni specijalitet Pilau, začinjen raznim biljem koji će vam se dopasti. U povratku obilazimo čuvenu Mangapwani plažu. Povratak u Stone Town. Slobodno vreme.  Noćenje.

5. dan: Jozani šuma + Paje plaža

Slobodan dan za individualne aktivnosti ili dan rezervisan za celodnevni fakultativni izlet do Jozani šume, prepune crvenog mahagonija i mangroa, koja se prostire na preko 2500 hektara i  dom je retkoj vrsti – endemskim crvenim Kolobus majmunima, koji se mogu videti još samo na Zanzibaru. U šumskom okruženju je i preko 50 vrsta leptira i 40 vrsta ptica. U povratku posećujemo fantastičnu Paje plažu koja je raj za kite surfere. Povratak u Stone Town. U večernjim satima sledi zajednički izlazak u neki od restorana ovog egzotičnog mesta. Slobodno vreme. Noćenje.

6. dan: Safari blue

Slobodan dan ili fakultativni izlet Safari blue, koji nudi nezaboravno iskustvo i pravi užitak. Krećemo sa jugo-zapada ostrva, iz mesta Fumbe, tradicionalnim brodom dhow, ručno napravljenim od afričkog mahagonija. Naše prvo zaustavljanje je na peščanoj adi odnosno Nakupendi, kako lokalci nazivaju to ostrvce, gde ćemo se kupati, osvežiti uz banane, pomorandže, kokos, passion fruit, mango i drugo tropsko voće. Posmatraćemo kako ovaj komad raja polako nestaje pod Indijskim okeanom. Koristimo priliku da obidjemo koralni greben gde ćemo plivati, roniti i uživati u bogatom morskom svetu Indijskog okena. Nastavljamo prema Kwale ostrvu i ukoliko nas plima posluži, imaćemo mogućnost da istražimo prirodnu lagunu ostrva okruženu drvećem mangrova i plivati u prelepom prirodnom okruženju. Zatim odlazimo na plažu Kawale, gde će nam ljubazni domaćini pripremiti ručak: pirinač sa sosom od povrća, ribu, gambore, lignje, hobotnicu, jastoge, krabe. Sledi odmor i kupanje na plaži, kupovina suvenira u mnogobrojnim radnjama i šetnja do Baobab drveta, za koje se smatra da je staro preko hiljadu godina. Krećemo nazad prema Fumbi, ali ovoga puta umesto zvuka motora, prepuštamo se zvuku vetra i talasa jedreći indijskim okeanom. Transfer do Stone Town-a.  Noćenje.

7 – 11. dan: Safari Mikumi ili Kendwa beach – Zanzibar

Nakon doručka check out iz hotela i transfer do Kendwa plaže ili ukoliko se odlučite za fakultativni izlet Safari u nacionalnom parku Mikumi, check out iz hotela i kofere ostavljamo u prostoriju za prtljag u hotelu, gde nas i čekaju nakon povratka sa safarija. Za one koji ne žele na Safari, narednih nekoliko dana provešćemo na najlepšoj plaži na Zanzibaru i uživati u kupanju i sunčanju na obali čarobnog Indijskog okeana. Zaslužili smo! Šareni kokteli, ukusna hrana, egzotično voće uz prelepe boje mora, neba, oblaka i peska koje nas hrane i odmaraju. Šta više možemo poželeti? Organizovani su (fakultativno) odlasci do mesta Nungvi gde se nalazi još jedna plažna lepotica, zatim Sunset cruise (krstarenje i zalazak sunca uz zvuke afričkih perkusija), poseta Mnemba ostrvu i jednom od najlepših koralnih grebena Zanzibara gde ćemo uživati u snorkling-u. Dani predvidjeni za kupanje i izležavanje na suncu uz pravi hedonistički užitak!

Ukoliko ste se odlučili za akciju, sledi trodnevni fakultativni izlet do Dar es Salama + Safari u nacionalnom parku Mikumi. Mikumi se nalazi u kopnenom delu Tanzanije, na putu izmedju Dar es Salaama i Iringa. Dobrodošli u kraljvstvo lavova! Imaćete priliku da u divljini Mikumija vidite zebre, žirafe, impale, slonove, gnuove, bafale, nilske konje, krokodile, gnezda termita, hijene, divlje mačke, a nadamo se i samog kralja i kraljicu – lavove. Po povratku iz nacionalnog parka upoznaćemo se sa Dar es Salamom i probati raznorazno voće, povrće i morske plodove na pijacama i restorančićima ovog lučkog grada. Po povratku na Zanzibar, slede noćenja na Kendwa plaži. 

11. dan: Zanzibar – Beograd

Odjavljivanje iz hotela u ranim jutarnjim satima i obogaćeni novim iskustvom i napunjenih baterija krećemo prema aerodromu. Polazak aviona za Beograd sa usputnim presedanjem. Hakuna matata!

12. dan: Beograd

 Dolazak u Beograd na aerodrom Nikola Tesla i sa osmehom na licu planiramo sledeću Manga avanturu!
