Watch Taylor Swift Sing ‘Tim McGraw’ With Faith Hill, Tim McGraw in Nashville

By Joseph Hudak

Joseph Hudak

Taylor Swift warmly embraced her Nashville roots during the Music City stop of her Reputation Tour. Performing at Nissan Stadium, the pop superstar recalled how she and her mother attended CMA Music Festival at the venue as everyday fans soon after moving to Nashville from Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. In 2011, she’d play a typically abbreviated CMA Fest set on the big stage, but never headlined the stadium until Saturday night, bringing her spectacular production, including a massive video wall, two satellite stages and numerous inflatable snakes (the avatar of the tour), into the home of the Tennessee Titans.

Swift was thrilled to be home, talking at length about how the city has changed and using the growth of Nashville as her own visual metric for the passage of time, a theme she touched on often throughout the evening. She’s a wildly different artist from the one who released her self-titled debut at 16, having evolved into a confident, almost defiant, entertainer. Gone are the parodied aw-shucks reactions, replaced by the undeniable attitude of “I’ve been here before and this is how it’s done.”

That unflappability came into focus during the show’s surprise moment, a collaboration on Swift’s 2006 debut single “ Tim McGraw ” with guests Faith Hill and McGraw himself. Beginning the song solo at a piano, Swift welcomed Hill, who, upon appearing from beneath the stage, seemed to lose her place in the lyrics. Swift stepped in, calmly righting the ship, before introducing McGraw for a decidedly meta moment with all three singing the name-checking chorus.

Earlier in the night, on one of the B-stages, Swift nodded to her country music ties with the tour debut of “Better Man,” the ballad she wrote for country vocal group Little Big Town. Strumming her guitar beneath a bright full moon and surrounded by the blinking interactive bracelets worn by fans, the inclusive sing-along fulfilled Swift’s intention of connecting with all corners of the stadium.

It was the tracks off Swift’s latest album, last year’s Reputation , that ultimately made up the bulk of the setlist. Show opener “…Ready for It?” was appropriately muscular and outsized, “Delicate” found Swift singing from a basket above the crowd, and “Getaway Car” transported fans into the wilds of the American west via immense images of the desert.

The closing “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things” was the stunner, however, as Swift and her army of dancers cavorted in front of an eerily real-life image of an ornate building, its façade exploding behind them as fireworks and flames shot overhead. It was Swift blowing up her reputation, yes, but still preserving her place in the town that helped build her up.

Country power couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill joined Taylor Swift during her Reputation Stadium Tour stop in Nashville, Tennessee, for a very special performance

Nashville-based Swifties got a big surprise Saturday night!

During the latest stop on her record-breaking Reputation Stadium Tour, Taylor Swift brought some very special guests on stage to help her finish her performance of her first-ever single, “Tim McGraw.”

At the show, the country-turned-pop superstar, 28, performed the first part of the song with a piano solo before declaring, “Make some noise for Faith Hill , Nashville.”

After Hill, 50, appeared and gave Swift a big hug, the duo sang the second verse and chorus together before the real Tim McGraw joined Swift and his wife on stage. McGraw, 51, performed the song’s bridge solo, and then all three artists brought it home for the emotional finale.

One more special guest in attendance? Swift’s close friend Karlie Kloss , who was seen in the audience recording the singer performing her 1989 single “Blank Space” after rumors of a rift between the pals.

At one point, the newly engaged supermodel , 26, turned around and put her phone on selfie mode to record herself singing along to Swift’s hit tune.

“No one puts on a show like @taylorswift 🎤✨ #ReputationTour Nashville was out of this world, I am SO proud of you,” Kloss captioned an Instagram of the duo.

The Reputation Stadium Tour has been full of memorable moments for the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer and her fans. At her stop in Tampa, Florida, on Aug. 14 — the one-year anniversary of her 2017 groping trial , where she was famously awarded a symbolic $1 following her case against former radio host David Mueller — she gave an impassioned speech about the experience and her support for others who have been in a similar situation.

“A year ago I was not playing in a stadium in Tampa, I was in a courtroom in Denver, Colorado,” Swift bravely began her speech , which ended with the audience holding up $1 bills in support of the star. “This is the day the jury sided in my favor and said that they believed me .”

“I guess I just think about all the people that weren’t believed and the people who haven’t been believed, and the people who are afraid to speak up because they think they won’t be believed,” Swift continued.

“I just wanted to say I’m sorry to anyone who ever wasn’t believed because I don’t know what turn my life would have taken if somebody didn’t believe me when I said something had happened to me ,” she added.

Taylor Swift Brings Out Tim McGraw, Faith Hill During Nashville Show [Watch]

Taylor Swift 's reputation  Tour hit Nashville on Saturday night (Aug. 25), and the singer fully embraced her country roots by choosing to perform one of her best-loved classics: Namely, her 2006 debut single, "Tim McGraw."

Fans, of course, were delighted to hear the strains of the song as it started. But Swift didn't stop at that particular goody. She actually brought out the real Tim McGraw —along with his wife, Faith Hill —to sing the tune with her. Watch above to see and hear the magical event.

The crowd went wild with excitement at the unexpected surprise, and Swift herself was effusive in her excitement right back, offering high praise for the city that launched her stardom.

“How do you say thank you to the city of Nashville?” she noted, mid-set. “I came here at 11 years old with a CD of karaoke music and my mom drove me up and down Music Row. I would scamper into record labels and say, ‘Please, call me.’ This is the city where I learned how to write songs. Every single thing I do, I learned in Nashville.”

It's hard to argue that Nashville seems to have taught Swift quite well. According to Billboard , her current tour has netted $191 million to date, which breaks her own previous record set for the highest-grossing U.S. tour by a woman (her 1989  Tour, in 2015). She'll be touring through November this year, wrapping things up in Japan.

The Reputation tour continues to bring surprises for fans. As Rolling Stone pointed out, Taylor Swift performed with Faith Hill and Tim McGraw in Nashville on Saturday, and the moment had special meaning for the star. The concert took place at the Nissan Stadium, and the singer took the opportunity to return to her country roots. During a performance of "Tim McGraw," Swift was joined on stage by Hill. The surprise got even better — the real McGraw came to the stage, and the two country icons helped sing the song's final verse and chorus.

"Tim McGraw" was the debut single off Swift's first album , which was released in 2006. Hill and McGraw, who are married as well as being musical collaborators, had a major influence on the pop star's early music . It's sweet that Swift took the opportunity to honor her roots, since she moved to Nashville at 11 to begin her career . She started the song solo on the piano before her guests joined her. It's unlikely the singer could've imagined this collaboration when she penned the song as a teenager, and it shows just how far her career has come.

On Instagram, Swift posted pictures from the guest appearance and captioned it with a special message about growing up in the city. She wrote:

"Nashville, last night was the first time I got to headline that stadium. Every second of the show meant so much to me, and I’m so grateful to Tim McGraw and Faith Hill for coming out to sing ‘Tim McGraw’ with me. I first came to this city in search of a record deal when I was 11! I’m just as enamored by being here now all these years later. Thanks for an unforgettable night."

It wasn't the only moment from the evening where the star paid tribute to her musical roots. According to Rolling Stone , she also performed "Better Man" for the first time on the tour. While Swift wrote the ballad for country music group Little Big Town , playing the song was likely a nod to her early days songwriting in the country music-oriented city.

McGraw and Hill's meaningful appearance isn't the first surprise that Swift planned on the tour. In June, Swift surprised the crowd at Wembley Stadium in London with an appearance by Niall Horan. In early August, Swift brought Bryan Adams on stage in Toronto to sing a rendition of his 1985 hit "Summer of '69."

Over the course of the tour, other pop stars including Shawn Mendes, Troye Sivan, and Hayley Kiyoko have also made appearances. There are still a couple months and lots of dates left on the Reputation tour, with stops in the midwestern and southern U.S. continuing through August and September. Swift will then leave for dates in Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, with the international stadium tour coming to a finish in November.

It's difficult to predict which guests Swift will invite for future dates, but given how the rest of the tour has gone, more musical collaborations are likely in store. It's no surprise that her stop in Nashville featured a few country music legends, and fans will just have to wait to find out about the next big surprise.

When you think Tim McGraw , I hope you think my favourite song . . .

It's hard for fans to believe that Taylor Swift 's debut single released over 12 years ago, and yet, she's done so much since then. The 28-year-old singer released the country love song "Tim McGraw" back in 2006, and on Aug. 25, 2018, she brought out the song's namesake to perform as part of her Reputation tour stop. Swifties in Nashville were overjoyed by the surprise of not only McGraw, but his wife, Faith Hill , rising to the stage to belt it out.

McGraw and Hill weren't the only stars circling Swift's stage that night. Longtime friend Karlie Kloss and actress Nicole Kidman were also in attendance at the sold-out show. Watch Swift's incredible performance with the country legends above (it'll take you back to that place), and then check out more snaps from Swift's night in Nashville, including behind-the-scenes photos of the trio's rehearsal.

Taylor started singing the tune, which happens to be her very first hit single from her debut album, at the piano. When she welcomed Faith Hill to the stage, fans lost it. The lyrics, of course, go: When you think 'Tim McGraw,' I hope you think my favorite song ... When you think Tim McGraw, I hope you think of me."

The ladies harmonized for a while, and then "the actual Tim McGraw" joined as well to take the bridge. The final chorus was a soaring rendition by all three. Watch:

"Every second of the show meant so much to me, and I'm so grateful to @thetimmcgraw and @faithhill for coming out to sing 'Tim McGraw' with me," Taylor wrote on Instagram following the show. "I first came to this city in search of a record deal when I was 11! I'm just as enamored by being here now all these years later. Thanks for an unforgettable night."

Tim, too, shared a photo from the night standing between the two women with the caption: "Man, how cool can it be for a guy?!! Thanx Taylor for having us on your stage...we had a blast!"

Another shot, which Faith posted, shows the trio embracing on stage. "Taylor, thank you for inviting us to be a part of last night in Nashville!!" Faith wrote. "Your show was absolutely magical!"

Behind-the-scenes pictures reveal that the three superstars also got together earlier that day to rehearse.

A commenter on YouTube summed it up best: "Imagine being a teenager writing a song in your bedroom inspired by one of your favorite country singers and then actually performing it with him years later. So crazy!”"

Tim McGraw talks new album, Taylor Swift's 'Tim McGraw' and the tune that brought him and Faith Hill together 27 years ago

One track on mcgraw's new album, 'standing room only,' is called "some songs can change your world." here, the country star opens up about which songs changed his..

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Tim McGraw is sitting onstage with Yahoo Entertainment at the Whisky a Go Go, getting ready to play a special standing-room-only show promoting his 16th studio album Standing Room Only and upcoming tour, during which the country megastar will of course play venues much bigger than this 500-capacity Hollywood club. Just across town, Taylor Swift is playing a run of Eras Tour concerts at SoFi Stadium, and the subject of Swift inevitably comes up, since it’s almost easy to forget that when she was in her first era 17 years ago, she made her debut with a single titled… “ Tim McGraw .”

“It makes me pretty proud. At first when she first came out with it, I thought, ‘Have I gotten that old that now that these new artists are singing songs of my name in it?’” McGraw chuckles. In that song, the teenage Swift, who McGraw calls “one of the greatest songwriters ever,” sang about memories of a boyfriend that were sparked whenever she heard McGraw’s music. So, which artist is Tim McGraw’s “Tim McGraw,” so to speak? Which artist makes him think fondly of his wife, fellow country music legend Faith Hill ?

“Well, there's one song and it's really an instrumental, but there's one. I’m probably going to get in trouble for saying this. God, please forgive me, baby!” McGraw answers, grinning to the camera as he slyly, sheepishly addresses Hill. “It’s ‘Samba Pa Ti,’ by Santana . It's kind of our song. My uncle told me one time — my uncle Hank, old hippie who lives in Napa Valley — he played it for me one time years ago on the road. He loved that song too. He said, ‘I'm gonna tell you something.’ He says, ‘Never make love to a woman with this song on unless you intend to marry her.’ And so I didn't, until I did. And then I did.”

Apparently old Uncle Hank knew what he was talking about. McGraw and Hill have been married for 27 years now — “We always like to say we've been married 92 years in showbiz language; it’s like dog years,” McGraw jokes — and they’re in their second-honeymoon era, with all three of their daughters leaving home. “It was tough at first, like the first six months. I think it's always harder on Mom when the girls go away,” says McGraw. “It was pretty tough because it was empty and the energy of the house was sort of gone. And then after about six months, we sort of thought, when we got married, we had a kid right away — we had Gracie right away. And now we kind of like have our time to ourselves and it's kind of honeymoon time again. So, we’ve quite enjoyed it!”

One of the standout tracks on Standing Room Only , “Nashville CA/L.A. Tennessee” — a collaboration with McGraw’s “Humble and Kind” co-writer Lori McKenna and longtime multi-instrumentalist Bob Minner — was inspired by McGraw and Hill’s daughter Gracie leaving the nest in 2018. “It came out of loading up my Cadillac Escalade, my 19-year-old Cadillac Escalade, taking all the seats out of it, loading all of her stuff in, and her and I doing a solo cross-country trip together to move her to L.A.,” McGraw recalls. “We had a great time on the trip, singing songs and playing music and stopping at cool places and spending time together. And then when I got [to Los Angeles], it was late at night and she was so ready to be here and so ready to get rid of Dad by that point! I unloaded all the stuff to where she was living, and she was like, ‘All right, Dad, I'm fine now! You can go.’ And I kept lingering around, kept trying to move things around, trying to keep as much time with her as I could. And she finally gave me a big hug and says, ‘OK, Dad, I need you to go now!’ And then I just broke down and just started crying. … So, that song was born out of that road trip.”

Another “very personal and very emotional and very honest song” on Standing Room Only is “Hey Whiskey,” a ballad about the destruction and regret that comes with heavy drinking. McGraw, who has been sober since 2008, tapped into his personal experience with alcohol abuse while cutting that track. “The vocal that we kept on that song, that was the very first run-through at about 10 o'clock at night, when my voice was shredded and I had no voice left,” he says. “That's the vocal we ended up keeping, because it was so pure and honest. … I'm so glad we ended up keeping the rawness that we did.”

Unsurprisingly, McGraw credits Hill with helping him maintain his sobriety for 15 years, saying, “She's always been my rock. She's my rock in everything that I do. I don't think I could stand up straight without leaning on her in everything that I do.” But he admits that even with Hill’s help, avoiding temptation hasn’t always been easy, “It is not a linear path,” he says. “There's setbacks and there's times you move forward and do great, and there's times you set back. And that'll probably a process throughout the rest of my life and something that I have to be diligent about and really continue to work at. And I think [“Hey Whiskey”] is helpful in that regard. It was very cathartic to me, in a lot of ways.”

And finally, there's another meaningful track on Standing Room Only , “Some Songs Can Change Your World,” which prompts another personal question: What is the song that has changed McGraw’s world? This time, in a full-circle manner, McGraw mentions a tune of his own.

“Oh, ‘It's Your Love,’ because it was the very first song that Faith and I ever did together,” McGraw answers without missing a beat, referring to their duet which won four Academy of Country Music Awards in 1997 for Single, Song, Video, and Vocal Event of the Year. “We were very early in our relationship, and it was just something that really just brought us together in a way that I don't know what else could have. And then I remember shooting the video, and we shot it here in L.A. and Faith was pregnant with Gracie. That was just such a special time and a special moment, the beginning of a long relationship. I always look back on that as something that not only changed my musical world, but changed my life.”

So, here’s to many more “showbiz years” of wedded bliss. “Ninety-two more years!” McGraw says with a grin. “I'll take it.”

Taylor Swift went back to her roots over the weekend!

On Saturday, the hit-making songstress performed at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, where she treated fans to a blast from her past. The 28-year-old blonde bombshell performed her very first hit upon getting a record deal -- “Tim McGraw," -- but she didn’t stop there. She also had Faith Hill and her husband, the real, actual  Tim McGraw , join her on stage to perform the song!

Swift began alone on the stage, playing the somber piano intro. About halfway through, Hill joined her as the crowd cheered. Then, just as the song was winding down, McGraw stepped out to sing along. Naturally, attendees were beside themselves.

“Taylor, thank you for inviting us to be a part of last night in Nashville!!” Hill, 50, captioned a photo of the trio embracing on stage afterward. “Your show was absolutely magical!”

McGraw, 51, also shared a photo from the performance along with this elated caption: “Man, how cool can it be for a guy?!! Thanx Taylor for having us on your stage...we had a blast!”

Swift released the song in 2006, and spoke with ET at the time about the track. "Sometimes you take four hours to write a song but this song I wrote in 15 minutes," she said of the hit.

The touching performance marked Swift’s first date back after taking the briefest of breaks where she and boyfriend Joe Alwyn enjoyed a night out in London together .

While leaving Hawksmoor, a steakhouse in the Coven Garden district, the singer was spotted holding hands with the rising star. It was a rare public display of affection from the intensely private couple.

Watch Taylor Swift sing 'Tim McGraw' with Faith Hill and Tim McGraw!

If you're going to write a hit about country music superstar Tim McGraw, you probably hope that one day you're going to get to sing it with the man himself.

That's exactly what happened Saturday night, when Taylor Swift — whose debut song "Tim McGraw" was a hit in 2006 — was joined onstage by McGraw and his wife, Faith Hill!

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill joined Taylor Swift on stage for a performance of "Tim McGraw."

Swift, 28, has been on the road for her "Reputation" tour, and noted that this was the first time she'd headlined at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.

Nashville, last night was the first time I got to headline that stadium. Every second of the show meant so much to me, and I’m so grateful to @thetimmcgraw and @faithhill for coming out to sing ‘Tim McGraw’ with me. I first came to this city in search of a record deal when I was 11! I’m just as enamored by being here now all these years later. Thanks for an unforgettable night. 📷: @shearerphoto A post shared by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift) on Aug 26, 2018 at 4:10pm PDT

During the show, Swift began playing "Tim McGraw" while seated at the piano. Then she told the audience, "Make some noise for Faith Hill, Nashville!"

Country power couple Hill, 50, and McGraw, 51, have been married since 1996, so it makes sense that Hill would want to belt out a few of the lyrics, like "When you think 'Tim McGraw' I hope you think my favorite song."

But Swift wasn't done with the surprises.

Hill hugged Swift and the pair sang the next verse and chorus. But then McGraw appeared onstage and the three of them took over the song together.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill joined Taylor Swift on stage for a performance of "Tim McGraw."

"Every second of that show meant so much to me," Swift wrote on Instagram later, and both McGraw and Hill thanked her on Twitter.

Tim McGraw Knew Taylor Swift Was Destined for Greatness When They Toured Together in 2007

Tim McGraw saw a star in Taylor Swift.

After Taylor Swift first made a name for herself in country music with the song "Tim McGraw," the introductory hit's namesake and Faith Hill added Swift as an opener for select 2007 dates  on the couple's Soul2Soul II Tour.

As McGraw told Audacy 's Superstar Power Hour  host Katie Neal, he was certain then that the sky was the limit for Swift.

"Taylor was one of our opening acts. It was just her acoustic guitar," he said. "We spent a lot of time talking to her in the dressing room and stuff before and after the shows. Faith and I both said, 'This girl, she's going to be the biggest star in the world.' She's just so curious, which is a sign of great intelligence. We had no doubt she was headed to do big things."

Fittingly, it was Swift's The Red Tour in 2014 that surpassed McGraw and Hill's second Soul2Soul world tour as the highest-grossing country tour of all time.

A published author already, McGraw also discussed whether or not he's ready to write a memoir.

"It's something that's not on my radar," he said. "'Cause if you're going to do it, I think you've got to go completely all in. I think there's a lot of stuff that I wouldn't want to tell. I think if I did a memoir, it wouldn't be full and complete."

However, McGraw jokingly left the door open to someday pen his life story.

"Maybe down the road we'll see... When all the principals are dead, so I'm not getting any trouble. Protect the innocent and the guilty," he added.

Besides, McGraw thinks he's got more chapters to live.

"I feel like I got a lot more in me," he shared. " You know, I still feel like I'm still cranking, getting better— hopefully I'm getting better. I try to get better."

Tim McGraw Says He And Faith Hill Knew Taylor Swift Would Be Famous Really Early On, And His Story Is So Sweet

The song named for him started it all.

Taylor Swift in

Taylor Swift ’s Eras Tour is possibly the biggest thing happening in all of music right now. Her shows have their own rules of etiquette , with fans screaming things at certain times and exchanging friendship bracelets . Her concerts are the place to see and be seen, with incredibly famous faces — many who you’d never take for a Swiftie — enjoying the show, be it from the VIP section or up in the nose-bleeds. I’m not sure this level of success is something the curly-haired 16-year-old could have envisioned for herself back in 2006, but one of her earliest inspirations — Tim McGraw — says he sure did.

Seventeen years ago Taylor Swift released her self-titled debut album, and the first single off of it was a sweet song about (surprise, surprise) an ex-boyfriend, which was titled “ Tim McGraw .” The success of the single resulted in an introduction to the song’s namesake and his wife, fellow country star Faith Hill, and before you could say, “ 1, 2, 3, let’s go bitch ,” the teenager was opening for the couple on their 2007 Soul2Soul tour. Tim McGraw realized pretty quickly that Swift was something special, telling ET :

We knew early on, when she was opening for Faith and I on our Soul2Soul tour, just her and an acoustic guitar, and spending time with her. Faith and I both knew that there was no stopping her. She’s a special talent.

Back before all of Taylor Swift’s different eras , before the costume changes and elaborate set designs, TikTok dances and surprise songs , there was just a girl and her guitar. That’s how Tim McGraw and Faith Hill first met her, when she literally walked over and introduced herself after performing “Tim McGraw” at the 2007 Academy of Country Music Awards. Seriously, how pure is this moment?

That same year, she began opening for them on tour, and six years later Tim McGraw asked her to collaborate on the single “Highway Don’t Care,” which they performed with Keith Urban on that same ACM Awards stage in 2013.

Something about Taylor Swift’s star quality must have struck a chord with the country singer, and in hindsight it was a pretty brilliant move to name her first single after one of the biggest names in the genre at the time. Now she can count the 1883 stars as bonafide Swifties!

Speaking of the Dutton ranch saga, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill aren’t the only members of Tyler Sheridan’s Yellowstone universe who seem to be fans of the Midnights artist. Kevin Costner attended one of Taylor Swift’s concerts with his daughter and later said he was “blown away” by her art, officially declaring himself a Swiftie .

The good thing about being a Swiftie is that Taylor Swift always has new music and other projects to look forward to . Maybe someday we’ll see her team up again with the guy whose name graces her first single, but for now it’s all about the Eras Tour and the October 27 release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) , which will feature five new tracks from the vault.

Taylor Swift Performed Her Song "Tim McGraw" WITH Tim McGraw, and We're Still Recovering

Updated on 8/28/2018 at 1:55 PM

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

When you think Tim McGraw, I hope you think my favorite song . . .

It's hard for fans to believe that Taylor Swift's debut single was released over 12 years ago, and yet, she's done so much since then. The 28-year-old singer released the country love song "Tim McGraw" back in 2006, and on Aug. 25, 2018, she brought out the song's namesake to perform as part of her Reputation tour stop. Swifties in Nashville were overjoyed by the surprise of not only McGraw but also his wife, Faith Hill, rising to the stage to belt it out.

  • Taylor Swift released her 11th studio album, "The Tortured Poets Department," on Friday.
  • In the 18 years since she released her debut album, Swift has become a billionaire.
  • Here's a photographic journey through her career, her many eras, and her blockbuster tours.

Insider Today

In the 18 years since Taylor Swift released her first album, she's been a country star, a pop star, and a voice of a generation.

She's a four-time album of the year winner, a billionaire, and the first person with a tour grossing $1 billion . She also rocked the music industry when she decided to re-record her first five albums so she'd own the rights to her own music.

Plus, her 11th album, " The Tortured Poets Department ," is set for a massive debut on the charts after it was released on Friday.

But she wasn't always this juggernaut. Here's a look at her impressive career, from her 2006 debut to her 2024 superstardom.

Taylor Swift released her self-titled debut album in 2006. At the time, there was no telling that this 16-year-old country singer would become one of the most iconic musicians in history.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

But by May 2007, Swift was already playing to large crowds. At the time, her aesthetic consisted of flowy dresses, acoustic guitar, curly hair, and cowboy boots.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

Her guitar has been a constant companion from 2007 to 2024.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

Swift's debut single was "Tim McGraw," named, of course, after the country star. In May 2007, she performed the song to him and his wife, Faith Hill, at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

An EP, “Beautiful Eyes,” was released in July 2008, just two months after she performed at Stagecoach Music Festival — essentially, country music's Coachella.

Even as her star was rising, Swift made time to take selfies with fans — on digital cameras!

By August 2009, her second album "Fearless" had been released and she was headlining Madison Square Garden.

A turning point in her career came during the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2009, when Kanye West interrupted her acceptance speech to declare Beyoncé deserved the award.

In December, she performed with one of her then-musical idols, John Mayer. The two would go on to briefly date, inspiring her song "Dear John."

At the 2010 Grammys, Swift performed with Stevie Nicks — 14 years later, Swift referenced their connection in the song "Clara Bow."

Later that night, the "You Belong With Me" singer was gobsmacked to win album of the year. She'd later write about this night in "Long Live."

Her third album, "Speak Now," was released in October 2010. The world tour began in February 2011.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

It sold over 1 million copies in its first week, the highest single-week sales for a female country artist. She also became the first female artist to have 11 songs on the Hot 100 simultaneously.

She continued to collaborate with musical legends. She brought James Taylor out at her Madison Square Garden show in November 2011.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

In 2012, she made her first jump away from country music to more straightforward pop. The cowboy boots were nowhere to be found.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

The debut single from her fourth album, "Red," called "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," became her first No. 1 on the Hot 100.

As her musical style changed, so did her style. She traded flowing dresses and cowboy boots for form-fitting dresses and high heels; gone was the curly hair, traded for sleek straight tresses.

The Red Tour grossed $150.2 million, making it the highest-grossing country tour ever when it ended in 2014.

She became the first female solo artist in 20 years to perform a stadium tour in Australia. The last female artist to do it was Madonna in 1993.

In August 2014, she left behind country with the song "Shake It Off," a pure pop song.

Later that year, she performed at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show beside then-BFF Karlie Kloss.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

"1989," Swift's fifth album, remains a high point of her career. It elevated Swift to pop-icon status and spawned three No. 1 hits and two more top-10 singles.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

It was also the era of her "squad." People are still captivated by who is in Swift’s inner circle.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

To top off the "1989" era, she won her second album of the year Grammy in February 2016.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

Her bleached blonde era — known as "Bleachella," since she debuted it at Coachella in 2016 — showed that people were obsessed with her every move.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

But by July 2016, Swift had vanished. Her feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had resurfaced, with many on social media turning against her.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

In 2017, she cleared her social media and told us: "There will be no explanation, just reputation." Her sixth album, "Reputation," was released in November.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

"Reputation" brought a new dark and gritty aesthetic. But the old Taylor, who loves interacting with her fans, was still in there.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

The Reputation Stadium Tour was her first all-stadium tour. Upon its completion in November 2018, it grossed $345.7 million, making it the highest-grossing North American tour ever.

In a savvy move, she reclaimed the snake imagery that had been used against her by critics.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

But after her two years of all-black edginess, 2019 brought a complete aesthetic shift.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

Her seventh album, "Lover," which was released in August 2019, is full of love songs, pastel rainbows, and bubblegum pop.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

"Lover" was her sixth consecutive No. 1 album and the best-selling album of 2019. Her concerts for the album were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

In July 2020, Swift surprised fans with her eighth album, "Folklore." It would go on to win album of the year — she was the first woman ever to win three times.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

After a seven-year hiatus, she returned to her country roots. She performed the song "Betty" at the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

In November 2021, Swift released the 10-minute version of her song "All Too Well" from 2012. She also directed an accompanying short film starring Dylan O'Brien and Sadie Sink.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

"Red (Taylor’s Version)," her re-recorded version of the 2012 album "Red" was a huge hit. "All Too Well (10-Minute Version)" became the longest No. 1 song in the chart's history.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

But just re-recording wasn't enough for Swift. In August 2022, she announced her 10th album, "Midnights," which became yet another hit.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

The year 2023 was the year of Swift, as she embarked on her globe-spanning Eras Tour. The setlist pays homage to her career. She brought out the gold fringe for the "Fearless" set.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

Since "Lover" never got a tour of its own, it kicks off the show. Four years after its release, Swifties got "Cruel Summer" to the top of the Hot 100.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

During her "Speak Now" set, she brings back her koi-fish guitar and the purple dresses.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

During the "Red" set, she interacts with some of her youngest fans.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

In the "1989" portion, we get taken back in time to when Swift loved a two-piece set.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

The "Reputation" era might be long gone, but the snakes are back for this portion of the show.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

She also pays homage to the woodsy, cottage-core vibes of "Folklore" and its sister album, "Evermore."

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

Swift ends the night with the "Midnights" set, which spawned two of her two most recent hits, "Karma" and "Anti-Hero."

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

The Eras Tour has become a global phenomenon. It's the first tour to ever surpass $1 billion in revenue ... and it's not over yet.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

In February 2024, Swift became the first artist to win album of the year four times when she won for "Midnights." That night, she announced her 11th album, "The Tortured Poets Department."

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

On its release, Swift surprised fans by announcing "TTPD" is a double album, and she dropped 15 more songs. It's set to be, once again, huge.

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

In 18 years, Swift has released 11 albums, four re-records, won 14 Grammys, had 11 No. 1 hits, become a billionaire, and broken countless records. She's showing no sign of slowing down.

Will Taylor Swift's debut album be her final re-recording? Here's all the latest theories and easter eggs for Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version)

Listen to this article

The countdown to Taylor Swift ’s final re-recording is officially on... 'Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version)' is coming, but when will it be released?

If the theories are true, Taylor Swift will soon be reclaiming her Reputation , and she will soon own her own name too. 'Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version)' – also known amongst the Swifties as 'Debut (Taylor’s Version)' – looks like it might be the last re-recording to be released.

For the Swifties who joined the fandom when Taylor was fully in her Pop Star Era, 'Debut (TV)' might not sound as exciting as ' 1989 (TV) ' or ' Rep (TV) ', but for the Day One country fans, it has the potential to be one of her best re-recordings of the whole bunch. While we’ve already heard her sing them as surprise songs on the Eras Tour , fans can’t wait to hear what the iconic country bops will sound like with Taylor’s matured voice.

Seeing as the 'Debut (TV)' easter eggs have now started to trickle in, here's everything we know about 'Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version)' so far.

When does Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version) come out?

Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version) release date: When will Debut (TV) be released?

Since she started the Eras Tour, Taylor has released two re-recorded albums: 'Speak Now (TV)' and '1989 (TV)'. The latest theories point to 'Reputation (TV) ' being announced and released while she’s on tour, which means it’s likely that 'Debut (TV) ' will be announced/released at some point before the Eras Tour ends in November 2024.

Potentially re-releasing her very first studio album right at the end of her record-breaking, career-spanning Eras era? It doesn't get more perfect than that!

When exactly that will be, however, remains to be seen... While all signs appear to have been hinting at Taylor releasing 'Reputation (TV)' within the next few months, she instead surprise announced a brand new album called ' The Tortured Poets Department ', which was released on April 19th.

It's now looking likely that 'Debut (TV)' could be released at the end of 2024, or maybe even early 2025. It all depends on how long Taylor is planning to promote her 'Tortured Poets' era, and when 'Rep (TV)' is released.

We'll update this article as soon as more theories emerge.

Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version) easter eggs: What has Taylor teased about Debut (TV) so far?

The 'Debut (TV)' easter eggs have been few and far between throughout the past few months, but Taylor appears to have finally started dropping hints. She's also blending them in with the 'Rep (TV)' easter eggs, prompting the hilarious 'Debutation' meme .

So far, Taylor has mostly hinted at 'Debut (TV)' through her outfits. Back in October 2023, she was pictured wearing a Shania Twain 'Any Man Of Mine' t-shirt paired with green socks, appearing to officially mark the start of the 'Debut (TV)' easter eggs.

In January 2024, Taylor appeared to drop the biggest 'Debut (TV)' easter egg so far when she and Keleigh Teller went to the Golden Globes in the full Debut-era colour palette. Fans clocked it right away, and even noted the butterflies adorning the wall behind them in a photo shared by Keleigh on Instagram.

Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version) vault songs: What songs will be in the vault?

Before she was signed to Big Machine Records, Taylor used to perform at local venues and hand out demo CDs that included all the songs she had written when she was a young teenager. Some of those ended up on her debut album, some of them didn't.

Swifties who have those CDs have since uploaded the majority of those unreleased demo songs to YouTube, but whether or not Taylor plans to re-record them as vault tracks remains to be seen.

The most popular unreleased tracks that fans are dying to see turned into vault tracks include: ' I'd Lie ', 'Dark Blue Tennessee', 'Welcome Distraction', 'Nashville' and 'Sweet Tea and God's Graces'.

Fans are also hoping that Taylor will re-record 'I Heart ?', which was released as part of the 'Beautiful Eyes' EP.

Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version) vault songs: How many vault songs will there be?

As much as fans are hoping that Taylor will go all out with the 'Debut (TV)' vault and re-record as many of her old unreleased songs as possible, it's likely that she might just stick with the pattern she's established with her re-recordings.

'Fearless (TV)' and 'Speak Now (TV)' both had 6 official vault tracks, while '1989 (TV)' had 5. 'Red (TV)' included 9 tracks in the vault, but only 6 of those were previously unheard songs.

We'll have to wait and see how many vault songs Taylor decides to add, but fans can probably expect to see at least 6 vault tracks on 'Debut (TV)'.

The Eras Tour does not include a specific section for Taylor Swift's debut album

Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version) vault songs: Who will Taylor collaborate with?

Seeing as 'Debut (TV)' is Taylor's full-blown country era, fans are expecting the vault to feature some of the biggest and most iconic names in country music.

Over the years, Taylor has spoken highly of the country artists she admires, and those who have inspired her throughout her career. In turn, they've frequently praised and supported her.

So far, Taylor has already featured Keith Urban, Maren Morris and Chris Stapleton on tracks from the vault. She's also previously collaborated with folk-country duo The Civil Wars ('Safe & Sound (Taylor's Version)') and The Chicks (on ' Soon You'll Get Better').

But who could appear on the ' Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version)' vault tracks? Here's all the latest names and theories...

Shania Twain

Taylor has dropped two major Shania easter eggs so far. One is the aforementioned 'Any Man Of Mine' t-shirt, and the other is the TikTok she shared wayyy back in September 2021. In the viral 'Mama said that it was ok' clip, she cites Shania as her main influence and inspiration as a country artist moving into pop music. (Shania then duetted that video and credited Dolly Parton in her own version.)

With two Shania Twain name drops, fans are suspecting that she might be included on 'Debut (TV)'s vault... We'll have to wait and see!

Taylor Swift and Shania Twain teamed up back in 2011 for the CMT Awards

Kenny Chesney

Day One Swifties will know how much of an important part Kenny Chesney played in Taylor’s early success, and how the two are still great friends. The story of how Taylor and Kenny's friendship began was also recently included in Taylor's TIME Person of the Year profile. The two have appeared as surprise guests at each others shows, but collaborating with Kenny on the album that started it all would surely be a great way to end her re-recording era, right?

Taylor Swift performs with Kenny Chesney on the Speak Now World Tour

Tim, alongside Faith Hill, has been a major supporter of Taylor's from her early days right up to now. Taylor has previously featured on one of Tim's songs ('Highway Don't Care') but he's yet to feature on one of hers. And how perfect would it be if he was featured on the re-recording of the album featuring her debut single that was named after him?!

Taylor credits Faith as being a "wonderful mentor" to her when she was just starting out. Taylor opened for Tim and Faith on their Soul2Soul II tour back in 2007, and Faith has made surprise appearances at Taylor’s Speak Now World Tour and the Reputation Stadium Tour. Could they finally be about to collaborate on a track together?

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have supported Taylor since she first started out

Kelsea Ballerini

Taylor and Kelsea's friendship goes way back to 2008, when Kelsea first met Taylor at a Meet & Greet. As both of their stars rose within the country music industry, they eventually ended up hanging out together at various award shows and performing together on stage. Kelsea also appeared as a special guest on Taylor's 1989 World Tour in Nashville. Taylor has always supported Kelsea and Kelsea has always spoken highly of her. Joining forces with someone she inspired at the start of her career would be a really sweet way to end her re-recording journey.

Kelsea Ballerini first met Taylor Swift at a Meet & Greet in 2008.

Kelly Clarkson

Ok, so Kelly Clarkson is not a country artist but she can master any genre she sings. If Debut (TV) is the final Taylor's Version album released, fans are hoping that Kelly is somehow involved because she actually suggested that Taylor should start re-recording her albums way back in July 2019, following the selling of her masters. Kelly recently revealed that Taylor sends her flowers after she releases a new Taylor's Version album, and the two collaborating on a track together on the final one to be released would be incredibly sweet.

Taylor Swift joined Kelly Clarkson on The Voice as a Mega Mentor

Other names that have popped up include George Strait and Brad Paisley, both of whom Taylor supported on tour while promoting her debut album.

But we'll have to wait and see if Taylor adds any collaborators to her Debut (TV) vault tracks!

Tim McGraw keeps it breezy, with a touch of soul-searching, at Milwaukee concert

taylor swift tim mcgraw faith hill tour

Tim McGraw may be the country music A-list’s most devoted gym rat.

Strolling out on stage in Milwaukee Friday night sporting quite possibly the tightest shirt and jeans ever worn (seriously, his belt buckle must have been holding on for dear life), the 56-year-old McGraw put his impressive fitness regimen to full effect with a high-energy, hour-and-37-minute set.

But by the time he performed his 20th and final number of the night at Fiserv Forum, another distinctive, and even more engaging, attribute emerged: among country music superstars, McGraw may be the chief philosopher.

Not that McGraw’s “Standing Room Only” tour stop ever felt that heavy. He was light on his feet Friday — literally and figuratively — bouncing off the stage, tongue dropping out like Michael Jordan, as he cruised the runway for "Felt Good On My Lips." Screaming at one point “I love my job” with the giddiness of a lottery ticket winner that just quit his 9 to 5, McGraw’s elation heightened the joy of songs like "Something Like That," which sweetly reminisced about a first love, and "Where The Green Grass Grows," where he vividly imagines an idyllic future.

The night was light, but McGraw's stage presence kept it from feeling forgettable. The same goes for the stage production — one of the slickest setups coming out of Music Row — with lasers, crisp animations and effects, and dramatic video walls. McGraw's eight-piece band also made a memorable impression, from Dean Brown's grinning fiddle on "Just to See You Smile," to Billy Nobel's beautiful piano runs for a cover of Elton John's "Tiny Dancer."

But what stood out most at the "Standing Room Only" tour stop were three songs that gently preached, without pretentious self-righteousness, the value of being good to others, of making this world a better place — simple messages, but messages that have become more important as our country seemingly continues to be more divided.

Set closer "Live Like You Were Dying" felt more potent than it did when McGraw made it a hit 20 years ago, as he sang about loving deeper, speaking sweeter, offering forgiveness, and becoming a better husband and friend, in front of footage of heavenly clouds awash in sunset orange.

The tour title track (and title track of his 16th studio album released last year) saw McGraw, over Nobel's gorgeous piano work, poignantly singing about letting go of old regrets, of not letting macho arrogance get in the way of a good laugh or shedding tears. "Stop judging life by my possessions," McGraw sang softly Friday. "Start thinking 'bout how many headlights will be at my procession."

Then there was the song that may go down as the signature in McGraw's highly decorated catalogue, the Lori McKenna-penned "Humble and Kind," with McGraw's be grateful and good message spreading through the arena as fans loudly sang the outro.

"Don't take for granted the love this life gives you/When you get where you're going, don't forget turn back around/And help the next one in line."

And as the music paused, and a beaming McGraw took in the applause with appreciative nods and a tap of his chest, he was as humble as a country superstar impressively rocking an ultra-tight shirt could possibly be.

5 takeaways from Tim McGraw's Milwaukee concert, including openers Carly Pearce and Randall King

  • Anyone who thought Milwaukee had its fill of big country shows for a while clearly don’t know Milwaukee country music fans. It's been less than a week since Luke Combs performed for more than 80,000 people across two nights at American Family Field for his "Growin' Up and Gettin' Old" tour kickoff, but Fiserv Forum was still filled to capacity for McGraw Friday.
  • If you have a Taylor Swift card, you play it. McGraw certainly played his, incorporating his 2013 Swift collaboration "Highway Don't Care" into the setlist, complete with her piped-in vocals and appearance from the music video on the stage's giant screens. After it ended, McGraw smartly encouraged the crowd to cheer for our pop culture overlord.
  • "Yellowstone" spinoff "1883," which stars McGraw, also got a special shout-out via a 90-second sizzle reel on the show's screens that preceded encore kickoff "The Cowboy in Me." Pretty much every McGraw appearance in the clip drew a cheer — especially a scene of him kissing his real-life wife, fellow country star and "1883" co-star Faith Hill in a bathtub. (Hill and McGraw's romance was also documented on the screens as he sang "One Bad Habit" Friday.)
  • Primary opener Carly Pearce's voice was a hair shaky as she belted out "Diamondback" at the start of her set. But she had a whole lot going for her to make up for the initial shortcoming, from smart and strong been-done-wrong songs like "Next Girl" to a polished band and slick lighting that were arena-headline ready — like Pearce herself, eventually. Compensating for some initial struggles with larger-than-life sass, Pearce's voice found its bearings by third song "Easy Going" when she peppered her delivery of "Prince Charming" with a delicious, drawn-out growl.
  • Randall King had an ultra-sparse set-up for his 15-minute night-opening set — no drums, although he made sure there was lap steel. His set started earlier than scheduled, too. Despite these possible setbacks, however, King made a strong impression, especially for twangy and tender original "I Could Be That Rain."

Taylor Swift: every single album ranked and rated

As Swift releases 'The Tortured Poets Department', let's take a trip down memory lane and take stock of the superstar's career so far

Taylor Swift performing live

Back in 2006, a little-known country singer called Taylor Swift released her debut single ‘Tim McGraw’. Written when she was a high school freshman, it saw Swift dissect her relationship with a senior who she knew would break up with her when he went off to college. It was the first taste the world got of Swift’s deeply confessional songwriting, and from that moment, we were hooked.

Eleven albums, a mantelpiece of awards and over a decade later, Swift has become one of the biggest popstars on the planet. First emerging as a country-crossover artist, she’s since embraced glossy pure pop and indie-folk; but while her sound may have changed, Swift’s brilliantly honest lyricism and songwriting talent has remained a keystone in her tunes.

In recent years, she’s also become a music business game-changer: most notably for re-recording her first six albums in order to regain control of her masters, which has seen Swift release the ‘Taylor’s Version’ of ‘Red’ , ‘Fearless’ , ‘Speak Now’, and most recently, ‘1989’ .

As Swift releases her eleventh studio album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ (which arrived as a surprise double album, an additional 15 tracks appearing on ‘The Tortured Poets Department: the Anthology’), here we take a look back on Taylor Swift’s entire career and rank her ten albums in order of greatness. Where Swift has re-recorded an album, we have included only the new, re-recorded version of the record in the ranking.

11 ‘Taylor Swift’ (2006)

Almost 15 years ago, before the Grammy awards and international tours, a fresh-faced, 17-year-old Taylor Swift released her self-titled debut album. Written in her freshman year of high school, it positioned her as a country-crossover hopeful ready for mainstream success. Filled with rootin’ tootin’ tunes like ‘Tim McGraw’, ‘Our Song’ and ‘Teardrops on My Guitar’ (largely considered Swift’s breakout song) that stormed the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, it earned a teenage Taylor support slots on tour with Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts and Faith Hill. It’s a solid album which shows bucket-loads of promise; but it’s not a patch on what was to come later.

10 ‘Reputation’ (2017)

Look, ‘Reputation’ served a purpose. It saw Swift push back at a narrative that saw her portrayed as vengeful and bitter, an image that had been thrust upon her by the media and exacerbated by her very public, very long-running beef with Kanye West (first started when he infamously interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the VMAs, and regularly reignited by the Kardashian-West clan). The imagery for the album was filled with snakes, and lyrics subtly (and at times, not so subtly) addressed their falling out. True, this album successfully acted as a reminder that Swift is a powerhouse musician who shouldn’t be messed with. And a follow-up to ‘1989’ would always have big shoes to fill – but ‘Reputation’ lacked the stone-cold smashers Swift has proven time and time again she’s capable of. There are, of course, a handful of golden tunes (‘Dancing with Our Hands Tied’, ‘Call It What You Want’, ‘Delicate’).

9 ‘Lover’ (2019)

How do you follow-up ‘Reputation’, a revenge album filled with vengeance? With a record that’s “a love letter to love itself” . Swift’s seventh ignores the bombastic electro-pop of its predecessor, and instead embraces the sleek stylings of ‘1989’. Although the first glimpses we heard from it (the musical theatre-style ‘Me!’ and the stomping ‘You Need to Calm Down’) didn’t do the record justice, listen to ‘Lover’ in full and you’ll find moments of pure joy. ‘Cruel Summer’, co-written with St. Vincent , is a euphoric three minutes of exhilarating ‘80s synth-pop which recently got its rightful moment in the sun: after viral success and inclusion on the setlist of Swift’s Eras Tour it was released as a single, almost four years on from ‘Lover”s initial release – climbing to Number One in the US in late October. Meanwhile, the tongue-in-cheek ‘I Forgot That You Existed’ is a strutting reminder of Swift’s skills as a lyricist. And then there’s the title track, a gorgeous slow-dance, that acts as a reminder to why the world fell in love with Swift in the first place.

7 ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’ (2023)

By album three Swift was a certified Big Deal. After the runaway success of country-pop second record ‘Fearless’, for ‘Speak Now’ elements of pop rock, bluegrass and soft rock were added into the mix. Whilst it has less T-Swiz classics than other releases, across the board it’s one of Swift’s strongest albums, bursting with catchy morsels. The Grammy-winning ‘Mean’ is amongst Swift’s most underrated songs, ‘Sparks Fly’ is a toe-tapping anthem and slow-burner ‘Back to December’ is a karaoke classic. It also boasts some of Swift’s best ever lyricism – for example its title track, where Swift vividly describes the wedding of an ex-lover: “I sneak in and see your friends / And her snotty little family, all dressed in pastel / And she is yelling at a bridesmaid / Somewhere back inside a room / Wearing a gown shaped like a pastry” . Top that, Shakespeare.

The third album to be re-recorded by Swift, the Taylor’s Version of ‘Speak Now’ also allows us a trip back in time to the vault, with six previous unreleased songs added to the record, including collaborations with Fall Out Boy (on ‘Electric Touch’) and Hayley Williams (‘Castles Crumbling’). While largely these tunes can’t hold a candle to the LP’s initial tracklisting, you can’t deny the slinky ‘I Can See You’ is a stone cold smash.

6 ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’ (2021)

If ‘Teardrops on My Guitar’ from Swift’s debut album was her breakthrough song, it was ‘Love Story’, the ballad from its follow-up ‘Fearless’, that cemented her name in the pop history books. On Swift’s second album she still kept things country, but this time the pop edge that defined later releases was more evident. Songs like ‘Love Story’, ‘You Belong with Me’ and ‘Fifteen’, filled with heart-on-sleeve lyrics and earworm hooks, remain among her best.

First released in 2008, its original release won the Grammy for Album of the Year, and thirteen years later in 2021, ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’ became the first of Swift’s re-recorded albums to drop. With the addition of six “from the Vault” tracks (songs written at the same time as the album, that Swift shared with the re-recorded version), it was like opening a musical time-capsule; with tracks like the emotive ‘Fifteen’ taking on a new meaning as a poignant tribute to her teenage life.

5 ‘Midnights’ (2022)

‘Midnights’ was a glittering return to Swift’s pure-pop music. After embracing folk-flecked sounds on sister albums ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’, for ‘Midnights’ Swift instead turns to bubbling synths and percussive beats, this sleek production run under the artist’s late night musings.

In a statement when her tenth studio album was first revealed Swift explained this project is “the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life”, meaning it’s filled with the sorts of realisations that only hit you in the wee hours. On earworm lead-single ‘Anti-Hero’ Swift sings: “It’s me/Hi/I’m the problem, it’s me” , the kind of thought we’ve all had when lying awake trying to drift off. The euphoric ‘Mastermind’ takes it one step further, where on it Swift admits: “No one wanted to play with me as a little kid/So I’ve been scheming like a criminal ever since/To make them love me and make it seem effortless/This is the first time I’ve felt the need to confess” . It’s a brilliantly honest moment, taken from Swift’s most mature album yet.

4 ‘Folklore’ (2020)

Swift’s surprise eighth album arrived with very little fanfare. Casting aside the usual lengthy album campaigns or meticulously planned drip-feeding of singles, T-Swiz uncharacteristically announced ‘Folklore’ the day before it was released. It’s not just the shock drop that felt different, though, as musically it saw Swift dive head-first into a new sonic palette of wistful indie-folk.

Teaming up with The National’ s Aaron Dessner (who worked on 11 of the 16 songs) and long-time collaborator Jack Antonoff , it’s a stunning collection of modern folk songs. The brooding production glitches and glitters, embracing the indietronica that’s permeated the last few The National records. There’s a Bon Iver collaboration, too: melancholy duet ‘Exile’, a slow-burning number which eventually erupts into chattering layered vocals and euphoric strings at the climax. Yet it’s the lyricism that makes ‘Folklore’ such an astonishing album, with Swift writing both from her own point of view, as well as exploring other people’s. The spectacular ‘The Last Great American Dynasty’ describes the life of American artist Rebekah Harkness (whose Rhode Island house Swift bought in 2013) with vivid descriptive lyrics. And there’s what Swift has called The Teenage Love Triangle, a trio of songs (‘Betty’, ‘Cardigan’ and ‘August’) that explore a knotty romance from three people’s perspectives.

It’s a dazzling, surprising album, brimming with career-best moments, and heralded a brave new direction for the pop star.

3 Evermore (2020)

Not content with just giving us one surprise album in 2020, Swift returned to her cabin in the woods and a mere five months later released ‘Evermore’ . She’s described it as a sister record to the aforementioned ‘Folklore’; where that record allowed Swift to completely reinvent her sound, coupling her trademark hooks and vibrant storytelling with indie-folk instrumentals, ‘Evermore’ exudes a new sense of confidence. There’s a free-wheeling, carefree attitude to the collection.

Haim collaboration ‘No Body, No Crime’ is a full-blown country revenge song, while ‘Long Story Short’ and ‘Gold Rush’ fuse Swift’s new sound with some ‘1984’-era gloss. ‘Marjorie’ is a tear-jerking tribute to her late grandmother and Justin Vernon-duet ‘Evermore’ is a euphoric beacon of hope that feels especially poignant at the end of 2020. On this record, Swift’s took her new sound and ran with it – with thrilling results.

2 ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’ (2021)

On 2012’s ‘Red’, Swift began her transition from country crossover artist to creating glossy, mainstream pop; on its 2021 re-record we were reminded just what a superb songwriter Swift has always been. ‘Red’ is filled with top notch tunes: the brilliantly snarky ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ (Swift’s first ever Billboard 100 Number One) and fizzing ’22’ are stone-cold smashers. ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’, with its swift-step breakdown, saw her signature sound infused with trendy dance production. Meanwhile, ‘The Last Time’ (featuring Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody) showed a more mature sound with its grandiose alt-rock guitars and soaring melodies.

But it’s ‘All Too Well’ that’s the finest moment on ‘Red’, and possibly the greatest song Swift has ever written. Painting the picture of an unravelling relationship, it gradually crescendos, climaxing in the gut-punch couplet of “And you call me up again just to break me like a promise / So casually cruel in the name of being honest” . On ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’, we got the spellbinding 10-minute version of the song, an epic rendition that cements the tune’s place as a songwriting triumph.

1 ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ (2014)

‘1989’ is a masterclass in how to make a timeless pop record. Here Taylor sacked off her country roots and embraced full-blown pop. Working with a who’s who of trendy producers and writers (Jack Antonoff, Max Martin, Ali Payami alongside indie darling Imogen Heap), she crafted a collection of glossy belters, that flit from fluffy dance-pop (‘Shake It Off’) and sophisticated electronic-tinged bops (‘Blank Space’, ‘Style’), to glorious indietronica (‘Out of the Woods’, ‘Clean’). Stuffed with ‘80s influence, it also saw a step up in Swift’s song writing, with her sharp, pithy lyrics feeling refined and sleek, hook-laden melodies dominating the entire record. It won a mantelpiece of awards – including the Grammy for Album of the Year – but perhaps even more impressive is the fact it’s already left a massive impact, less than a decade after it was first released.

And with the release of ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ we have the chance to dive back into this world, the sparkling sonics sounding better than ever. From the cinematic instrumentals of ‘Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)’, to from phenomenal “From the Vault” tune ‘Now That We Don’t Talk’ (which includes brilliantly Swiftian eye-rolls: “Now that we don’t talk/I don’t have to pretend I like acid rock/or that I’d like to be on a mega yacht” ), it’s a welcome trip down memory lane.

The songs are as fresh as they were when first released in 2014 with the choruses still getting embedded in your head. In short: ‘1989’ is Taylor Swift’s masterpiece.

What do Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's 3 daughters do? Meet Gracie, Maggie and Audrey

I n their almost 30 years together, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have built quite a life for themselves, with both individual and joint successful careers, as singers and most recently as co-stars, on Yellowstone spin-off 1883.

The beloved country couple met for the first time in 1994 in Nashville, but began their romance two years later in 1996, when they went on tour together; he proposed that June, and they married in October.

But beyond their work, more importantly, they've created a tight-knit family-of-five with their three daughters.

Below, get to know the three McGraw-Hill women, Gracie, 26, Maggie, 25, and Audrey, 22.

Gracie McGraw

Gracie is the eldest of the bunch, born on May 5, 1997. She graduated from New York University – a celebrity scion favorite – around 2019.

She continued to live in New York City , specifically Brooklyn, and like her parents, she has aspirations of a career in music, however more specifically a passion for Broadway , and has previously performed with Broadway Sings.

Maggie McGraw

Maggie, born on August 12, 1998, is the more private of the three sisters, and shares less of her life on social media.

She is also the only one not pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. After earning her Bachelor's degree from Stanford, where she focused on earth systems (oceans, atmosphere and climate), she also earned a Master's degree in Sustainability Science and Practice from Stanford.
