The Weeknd Drops Limited Edition Asia Tour Merch for Four Days Only

Fresh from releasing a new track with Gesaffelstein, The Weeknd launches a selection of limited edition merch commemorating his sold-out Asia arena tour. The styles are available beginning today for 96 hours only.

The XO collection originally debuted during The Weeknd’s first-ever Asia tour, as it consists of two T-shirts, two long-sleeves, a hoodie, two caps, a bomber jacket, face mask and the ranger vest.

The coinciding lookbook for the delivery, shot by Emanuele D’Angelo, features fans of The Weeknd wearing the garments throughout the eight-city tour.

The Weeknd  takes no breaks when it comes to merch drops, as he returns with his first XO release of 2019. 

The limited-edition merch comes from his Asia Tour, and he's now giving fans who didn't attend the tour a chance to cop the exclusive items for 96 hours only on  shop.theweeknd.com . The capsule includes two t-shirts, two long sleeves, a hoodie, two caps, a bomber jacket, facemask, and a ranger vest. 

Last year marked the Weeknd's first-ever Asia tour, so it's no surprise he wanted to celebrate with specially designed merch in his signature black with construction orange accents.

The Weeknd Just Released a Limited-Edition Merch Collection

In celebration of his sold-out Asia arena tour, The Weeknd has dropped another exclusive merch collection. The XO capsule originally debuted during his first-ever Asia show dates. It features two T-shirts, two long sleeve tees, a hoodie, two different caps and more.

Additional selections in the range include a bomber jacket, a facemask and a ranger vest which is a personal favorite of The Weeknd. Detailing on the range consists of bold typography paired with vibrant graphics. One pick we’re really into is the minimalistic neon orange long sleeve. If you’re more into pieces with vivid images, the ranger vest comes with a large globe on the back.

For Four Days Only, The Weeknd Is Selling His Very Cool Asia Tour Merch Online

The collection debuted during his 8-city tour, as captured by photographer Emanuele D'Angelo.

Back in early December, The Weeknd embarked on his first-ever tour across Asia. The eight-city journey took him through Hong Kong, Bankok, Singapore, Manila, Bali, Taipei, Seoul, and Tokyo. I wasn't there, but I have since learned that he toured ever-so stylishly. There was merch too, which was decidedly fire. But it was only available on the tour itself—until now.

As of this very minute, and for 96 hours only, The Weeknd is dropping the full line of Asia Tour merch on his site. The collection includes two T-shirts, two long sleeves, a hoodie, two caps, a bomber jacket, a face mask, and a ranger vest that The Weeknd himself apparently liked to wear on stage. Most all of the merch is very, very cool. The T-shirt with The Weeknd's decapitated head on it is especially Good.

And hey, if nothing else, with our planet rapidly deteriorating, that face mask could come in handy in just a few short years—and stylishly so.

After proclaiming himself the ‘Kawaii King’ of Tokyo in January, Bruno Mars will head to Thailand and Singapore for two and three stadium shows respectively. Expect throwback hits all the way from ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’ to soulful Silk Sonic cuts.

King Gnu: Asia Tour: The Greatest Unknown

Japan’s King Gnu will play seven concerts in four cities this April for their first-ever Asia tour, which will touch down in Taiwan, Singapore, China and South Korea. All shows are sold out as of March 1 .

Japanese rockers (and frequent Makoto Shinkai collaborators) Radwimps have announced a massive Asia leg of their 2024 world tour . Latest concerts to be added to their itinerary include Jakarta and a second show in Seoul, after the first one sold out.

Taiwanese math rockers Elephant Gym are embarking on an extensive tour befitting the title of their latest album, 2023’s ‘World’. In April, they’ll perform four dates in Japan and one in South Korea, and after swinging by Australia and Europe will return to Asia for more shows and festival slots in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Mongolia and their native Taiwan.

PREP’s latest single ‘Getaway’ features Thai singer-songwriter Phum Viphurit – will they play it together when the English indie band perform in Bangkok this year? The Weeknd’s postponed tour of Australia is now canceled and ticket owners will be refunded.

The Canadian R&B superstar had initially scheduled an 11-date stadium tour of Australia and New Zealand, winding its way across both countries last November and December.

“The Weeknd ‘After Hours Til Dawn Tour’ for Australia & New Zealand is still in process of being rescheduled,” reads a statement from LN, seen by Billboard . “Whilst we continue to work through the rescheduling process with the artist, tickets for the existing 2023 tour will be cancelled with all ticket holders receiving a full refund accordingly.”

Ticket holders of the The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours Til Dawn Tour’ shows who previously held on to their tickets will be able to access a priority purchase window for the new tour in Australia and New Zealand when announced, the message reads, linking to a priority waitlist . All current ticket holders will receive an automatic refund.

The tour was originally announced last August with just four shows, visiting each of Australia’s big three east coast cities — Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane — and including a single date in Auckland, NZ.

Additional dates were added last September , boosting the itinerary to 11 across both markets.

The Weeknd’s tour is scrapped as Australia’s festivals market navigates turbulent waters. In recent weeks, the 2024 editions of Splendour in the Grass, Mona Foma, and Groovin The Moo, with soft ticket sales playing a part in each story.

The inaugural Soundcheck report, published by Creative Australia, found the climate for operating a festival was a “highly complex” one, with event organizers challenged with myriad issues, from rapidly increasing costs, changing ticket buying behavior and more.

In the U.S., he has landed seven No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100 and four No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200.

On Australia’s ARIA Albums Chart, published last Friday, April 19 , the Weeknd’s hits collection The Highlights lifts 8-4 in its 167th week on the tally. It’s triple-platinum certified in Australia.
