Within walking distance there is a Belorussky railway station, where you can pick the express to Sheremetyevo. The staff in the hotel is friendly and helpful. Pets are allowed, which in our case, was great benefit. Room is quite comfortable and big. I would like to take a chance and to mention that Agoda indeed gives very good rates. I couldn't find such rates even within Russian sites. even more, as I need to extend check out time till 6 p.m. I have paid almost same amount as I paid to agoda for the full day. Overall, I do recommend the Holiday Inn Lesnaya to travelers in Moscow. Value for Money - it's nearly best, but assuming you got the right rates in internet.
Will place 2nd book for my next trip to Moscow.

We nearly had a complete bad time in Moscow during a 1-day visit to the city due to a robbery event near the Kremlin, but the hotel staff team had helped us deal with the process of police report with great speed and attention. They coordinated with the police and called for them to come to the hotel at 3 a.m. in the morning, acted as our translator, helped us through 1 hour of document filling which had to be done in Russian language, and made us feel comfortable. In the next morning when we asked for a copy of the report, they efficiently coordinated with the police and when we had to leave the country they sent us the requested copy via email within the same day. We were so impressed by the professionalism and kindness of the hotel staff to the extent that our faith in Moscow had been restored. We will never forget your help.
Staff doesn't speak English and not helpful. Very far and not well connected to the city center
The room was very nice with Russian style. The bathroom was very clean and the water pressure was good. Though - the walls were very thin, you could here coughing loud and clear, also the phone call our neighbour called was easily heard. The place is fantastic! The views from your room are exceptional. Staff is very accomodating but NOT for kids. No cribs. If your traveling with kids don’t recommend but couples you will be totally loving it.

Good hotel i stay here everytime when i visit moscow.
It is nice to stay in this hotel with family
We stayed 3 nights in the hotel . The location was perfect : walking distance from all the most famous places to visit( Kremlin , GUM, Bolchoi...)Staff were very efficient and nice and spoke very good english which was something amazing in Moscow:) Very clean ,spacious and comfortable room. Will definitely recommend this hotel as a 5 stars!

I had some problem during the chekc-in, because they told me they changed (arising) the tarifs the week before, but I didn't get any email of these changes neither from them or Agoda. Breakfast is good, the hotel is clean, interiors maybe a little bit "fanè, wilted", but I think for this price is pretty good for Moscow.

It’s a wonderful hotel with facilities which you need, at which you could find nice foods, restaurants as well as convenient stores and nice coffees. And it’s just next to the metro station. Pros: Great price. Very clean! Large room, Large bathroom, Beautiful grounds, Helpful staff Cons: WIFI was awful! No fitted sheets, no phone in room. No microwave. No Iron, Hotel is in the middle of nowhere . Hotek charges a fee to drive
Good price, good location, convenient to reach Moscow center as well as the SVO hotel.
Our visit to Moscow was enhanced by the stay at the Borodino. It was close to Metro stations and Railway stations. So it was easy to access the city and its attractions. We have already recommended to our friends via social media and e mail. But have also recommended to Real Russia, who organised our rail tickets etc to get here. We would definitely stay again

We took 15 mins to walk to red square whick pass H&M and so many shopping shops. The room’s very good and comfortable. We stay on 6 floor street side with the view of Seven Sister Stalin Building! There’s standard amenity with daily inroom instant tea and coffee, and also there’s bathtab seperate from shower room. Guests can use gym room and relaxing area for SPA on -1 floor, sauna, Turgish stream room, very nice color light shower room, and seperate locker rooms. The staffs were so kind and very helpful, they speak very well English. For us this hotel is one of the best choice! in Moscow with very reasonable price!
The hotel is very easy to find and is located in a very nice location, except being a little far away from the nearest metro station. The staffs were all very friendly and most of them speak good English. The room was cozy and nice! I would recommend this to my friends if they are going to visit Moscow!
I liked the hotel. The only complain was about the charges that i had to pay for the taxi to the airport. It was four times higher than it should have been. The hotel strangely didn't have a shuttle to the airport.
This hotel is very far from everything so if you decide to go with them than be prepared to spend money on taxis. if you do need a taxi do not get one directly from the hotel. they left me 30 min before reaching my destination because the driver did not know where he was going and his phone had died. If you have to stay 1 night or long time wait in Moscow it is the best hotel you can find. Direct access from the airport
We had a lovely stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The conscierge was more than helpful. She went out of her way to organise things for us and gave us directions to places. Visited Moscow with wife on Vacation, had a splendid time. The hotel was exceptional with very active and friendly staff. Had inadvertently left my phone in a Taxi, the staff was clever to retrieve the phone within the hour. Definitely shall recommend the hotel. Will becoming back.

The hotel is located a few minutes from the Bolshoi Theater, Red Square, restaurants and shopping. The Savoy's breakfast buffet is the best I had and have traveled throughout Russia. The hotel staff were very friendly, speak English and always ready to accommodate. The hotel built in 1913 is beautiful and has many amenities. The rooms are nice and the bathroom is lush. My only regret is that I didn't have more time to stay and relax more!

I got to your facility without my luggage key. Your people in housekeeping were wonderful and helped to open my bag without calling me a follis have Americian. Thanks to them for a great experience in Moscow.
Do not stay anywhere else in Moscow. Awesome palace/ hotel . Five minutes walk to the metro and just four stops from the red square. Huge rooms and the most friendly staff especially Vlad the conceage. Sitting in the palace outside courtyard drinking tea is the best experience ever. No need to even go outside to enjoy the lovely place. Don't think twise and book now.
Comfortable bed, clean shower room, convenient facilities, delicious breakfast. Regina, Rateb! Thank you.
Quality at every turn, from the food, decor, furnishings, bedding... They don't do many things but everything they do is executed with perfection. The polar exact opposite of chain hotels and a lesson to fussy and badly executed "boutique" hotels.

Nice living choice for business purpose, the hotel has the business lounge that can be used as free facility for thr swiss business executive room guest. However it is also good option to stay for sightseeing and shoping purpose. Between your busy business time you can enjoy the hotel as one of Moscow landmark as it has city sky lounge to see Moscow city light. Besides it is only 2 metro station to Moscow Red Square or Arbat street wellknown as Moscow souvenir shoping centre. It is also quite easy to reach Moscow Domodedovo airport by catching the train from the station close to the hotel.
The hotel is not like a Marriott, just like a 3-star one with old and dilapidated interior, not much choice of breakfast. Really disappointed.
I was in Moscow for 6 nights. Kremlin is 12 minutes walk from the hotel. Really good night life around the area. The surrounding is very beautiful. Recommend for 1st timers to Moscow to stay at a good location like this to enjoy Moscow.
Love the location of Kempinski Moscow. We booked 3 night there. We got a wonderful view to kremlin red square. Our breakfast view to Saint Basil’s Cathedral. Best location ever. Thank you Kempinski for upgrade our room to have the Moscow iconic view:
4th time to Moscow. Will return to Lotte Hotel,

And the view from the windows are spectacular, Redsquare, Kremlin and also from afar the Church Of Christ the Saviour can be seen. Really the VERY BEST Hotel at the VERY BEST LOCATION in Moscow, right at the Red Square and just steps away from the Kremlin and GUM. Bolshoi and most 1st class restaurants are in walking distance. Basically near all main attractions and sights in Moscow. Staffs and services all very good. Should be 1st choice to stay in Moscow. Cannot be more than perfect.
This is one of the best hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. It was a total value for money. The location is not that great, since it's around 7-8 mins walking from the closest metro station, but the facilities and room make up for the location.
Just viewed by other Agoda travelers
Real reviews for hotels
Great architecture. although super cold and snow = its still amazing to walk there and see exactly that.
Great food at good price... lots to see and a mix of old and new... a vibrant and interesting city.
There are 96 parks and 18 gardens in Moscow, including 4 botanical gardens. There are also 450 square kilometres (170 sq mi) of green zones besides 100 square kilometres (39 sq mi) of forests.
Moscow is a very green city. Moscow is also the heart of the Russian performing arts, including ballet and film. There are 93 theaters, 132 cinemas and 24 concert halls in Moscow. Among Moscow’s many theaters and ballet studios is the Bolshoi Theatre and the Malyi Theatre as well as Vakhtangov Theatre and Moscow Art Theatre.
I visited mid October just as the weather started turning, and it is recommended to bring appropriate warm clothing as it can be extremely cold.
The metro has many stops to get you around the city, but it might take a moment to understand how it all works. There are plenty of sights to see both inside and on the outskirts of the city. Lots of shopping available, and many cafes to enjoy food and drink. I didn't find it very busy, but then it is much more spacious than most cities. Very friendly people.
Moscow was one of the best city i have ever visited and people were freindly , the only thing i faced was the language since they do not talk English , but overall was just perfect .
Moscow is a vibrant City with plenty of restuarants and plenty of architectural buildings to see, like The Kremlin, and St.
Basils Cathredral There is a lot of walking involved when in Moscow as it is a large city.
It's better to use a service from hotel for taxi. If you call taxi by your own, you would be over charged from Moscow taxi.
They didn't use a meter.
it's a more or less a cold city, in that i mean the person is not very welcoming and not with warmth!! generally cold and without smile!!
it's very difficult to communicate in Moscow, they don't speak English, and no English sign board, I have to take metro to go everywhere at the same time read through the map, otherwise I make sure i got lost!
Nice city with many cultural sites and historical memories. My short visit was impressive (after 25 years).
People were more friendly than 25 years ago and more relaxing from my very short observation and interaction at public transport and restaurant. Nice city and will come back for cultural and historical visits.
People are calm and cool. They don't smile and with no facial expression. No one talks inside the subway.
Staff everywhere are not helpful at all. Be positive and don't get upset nor mad when ignored by the staff in tix office/conceirge. The funny thing is even though they aware that you don't speak Russian, they will still continuesly speak Russian to you blablablablabla.... Architecture are amazing and subway station is unique!
Moscow is a wonderful place to visit, there are lots go interesting place to see. Transport around the city is well, organised and on time.
By a good book and a map, where good shoes because it's huge. There are lots of reasonable places to eat and drink. Of course it's a wonderful cultural place.
Moscow is a great city. Plenty to see and do. Cheap at the moment with the Ruble to GBP rate! Excellent shopping.
Metro very easy to use.
Among the world's great cities. Very much recommended. Leave the stereotypes at home and embrace the city and the inhabitants and you will love the experience.
People in Moscow seem not to be friendly but they are actually helpful and kind. We were reluctant at the train station to buy a ticket for the metro and there was a guy gave us a hand, took us to the right ticket booth and explain us everything.
He is really kind. There are a lot of impression about people in Moscow and if we have a chance, we will definitely go back there.
Wonderful city for history and culture. The Metro stations, Alexander Garden, the Kremlin, St Basil Cathedral, Bolshoi Theatre and the architecture are all awesome.
The local people were friendly and helpful even though they didn't speak English. I had a brilliant time as a solo traveler.
- Big and cold city. - All Hotels are very expensive. - Aint good and cheap food. + Awesome underground stations.
+ A lot of pretty girls).
Moscow is a nice city, its just too expensive. The traffic take the most of your time. The best way to get to your hotel is to take an express tram from the airport to the city and then continue in a taxi.
People are very rude, they are up themselves and they expect you to speak their language.
Sales in shops, even hotel staffs and people in the city hate travelers. They willfully let you now it.
People generally do not speak one single word in English. I rent a car and drive. A police car stop me. Tell me I run a red light. As me put USD300 in his police car before let me go. Otherwise, they said that they will detain me and take away my drives license.
I like the city centre and the architecture in Moscow., but outside it is a bit messy. You can really experience the extreme of rich and poor in this city.
This is quite interesting, but besides, a bit scary for a girl who travel alone, as people looks a bit defensive.
Red square area is the only area we think we are happy for.. Apart from that, it's nothing and overestimated from advertisement.
People are mostly not friendly, they never smile, thanks or say sorry before you say.. They response to your question with an annoy feeling with the annoy face. However, we try to understand it is thier nature. Anyway, some are better, they try to help with no smile and feeling of annoy.
I loved Moscow despite everything I had heard. Red Square and the Kremlin were interesting, the National Museum was very well presented and the shops in the area (including the famous GUM) provided a delightful shopping experience if you like that type of thing.
I was lucky enough to have friends who were able to drive myself and my Mum around to show us a lot more than we could have seen otherwise (as my mother is elderly). The main drawback is the public transport is only in Cyrillic so be prepared with a translated map to figure it out if you don't speak Russian. Russians were very friendly, with several offering assistance with Mum's bags and a couple of elderly folks striking up conversation with us, despite the language barrier. Visa requirements are difficult for most travellers to Russia but well worth the effort. We did not feel unsafe, but have travelled a lot in a lot of different countries, also we were travelling in the very low season so there were not crowds to deal with. The train from St Petersburg to Moscow was very modern, comfortable and clean. If you are thinking about it - GO you will love it too.
Moscow is biggest city. For sure You should know what are U looking for and find the right places.. Amazing city.
It is a very beautiful(probably the most beautiful) city in view of the very impressive classical building styles, etc.
Citizens are very law-abiding. Weather must be one of the reasons to create a people that are quite resilient in facing life. (Russian people don't complain at all!)
It is nothing to add if everybody have a travel book. History of Moscow is very long and interesting, especially when you want to see how looks the capital of collapsed Soviet Union, how people lived in so called "building communism society".
Russian people in Moscow and St.Petersburg are very much difference but People in Moscow is worse who usually have attitude, fierce and not helpful and friendly.
You can't be relax there as there is no English sign at anything and people don't speak or try to speak in English. If you speak English with them even at the airport, they will stare at you badly. There is no tax refund like most of the country in the World. All brand name stuff is even more expensive than Hong Kong. The only attractive is Red Wall...that's it.
MOSCOW IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL CITY. THE ONLY THING THAT I CAN COMPLAIN IS THAT THE INHABITANTS ARE NOT FRIENDLY ANDIF YOU ARE TRAVELLING WITH ENGLISH AS YOUR LANGUAGE, IT IS GOING TO BE HARD TO YOU .
ALL THE METRO STATIONS ARE IN THE CIRRILIC ALPHABET AND THEY HAVE NO INDICATIONS IN ENGLISH OR ANYOTHER LANGUAGE .
Moscow appeared to be trying to overcome 70 years of austerity, despite the obvious attraction of most visitors to this period of its history.
Moskwa is good city with old fashion nice metro stations. It's reflect from the buildings and cultures.
From the airport we took airport taxi to avoid 'black taxi' to the hotel. We had to prepare city map and metro map to travel in group by our selves. Some peoples couldn't speak English. Nice place to see are : Kremlin, Red Square, Kievkaya mall, river cruise tours. There were a free city tour in the city to travel around. Nice to visit Moskwa.
great City to visit, Kremlin Museums incl. Diamond Fund, Red Square and St. Basils are mandatory, Art Museums are great, walled monasteries good, Army Museum good.
Metro is best and fastest way to get around City.
i was worried about visiting Moscow alone without knowing Russian language but most people were super nice.
if you practice some basic Russian and have the map of the metro in your language, itll be fine! ;)

13 Best Affordable All-Inclusive Resorts for a Dreamy Vacation That Won’t Break the Bank
Posted: March 11, 2024 | Last updated: March 11, 2024
The cheapest all-inclusive vacations
Dreaming of a luxurious all-inclusive resort vacation but traveling on a budget ? As it turns out, your bucket-list trip may be well within your price range. All-inclusive family resorts , adults-only all-inclusive resorts and even the best all-inclusive resorts don't necessarily come with a high price tag. Cheap all-inclusive resorts are definitely a thing.
With a baker's dozen of options for you to choose from, it's up to you to decide which types of affordable all-inclusive resorts make the most sense for you and your family. And once you've sorted out where you want to travel next, be sure to familiarize yourself with our all-inclusive resort tips so you can get the most out of every joyous minute you're staying there.
How we chose the best affordable all-inclusive resorts
We focused on resorts priced around $350 or less per night for two people. Our choices are based on expert recommendations, user reviews, star ratings and on-the-ground knowledge from within the all-inclusive travel industry. But price isn't everything. For some of our picks, the value of the experience—whether that's upgraded food, recently renovated rooms, more amenities or special focuses—gave it top billing over the cheapest all-inclusive hotel option.
Get Reader's Digest ’s Read Up newsletter for more travel, cleaning, humor, tech and fun facts all week long.
What are all-inclusive resorts, and why are they a good value?
The term all-inclusive resort typically means that the cost of your entire stay is covered at the price you paid when you booked the trip. Snacks, drinks, all meals, a daily program of activities, non-motorized water sports, pool and beach access and towel service—and of course, your room—are all factored into the total cost of your stay. Which is a big assist for budget-minded travelers who are keeping a close eye on their cash flow.
That said, there are always opportunities for upgrades that you will pay extra for, like a bottle of wine or spa treatments. So if you're not sure if the price is included for something you'd like to try, be sure to ask before you book an activity.
How to get the best affordable all-inclusive resort deals
In my experience working for more than a decade in the travel industry, to get the best deal on a cheap all-inclusive vacation, the best time to book a hotel is early. Or alternatively, play chicken and see if you can score a last-minute deal. Because prices fluctuate based on demand times, prices for our selected properties might be higher during peak season (also known as high season). For instance, you will see a spike in all-inclusive resort rates as well as airfares during times when people are looking for warm winter getaways and during spring break.
On the other hand, prices below our max budget may be found during the off-season, where you might face a higher likelihood of inclement weather. While it may be tempting to snag the lowest rates of the year, remember to look at all the angles. Shoulder season is the sweet spot between pricier rates and the lower cost of the off-season.
Best for families
Iberostar selection bavaro suites, dominican republic.
If space is what you seek, look no further than the Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites in the Caribbean . The property has its own Caribbean town, and the amenities are vast. Located on a Blue Flag beach in the Dominican Republic—which means the beach meets stringent environmental and safety criteria—the resort features a three-story fitness center, a golf course and eight dining options supplemented with eateries from two adjacent sister resorts.
This affordable all-inclusive resort allows you to book junior suites that connect or large family suites. Within those, there are sunken seating areas with convertible sleep spaces should you choose to keep the crew in just one room. You can ask for PlayStations when the sun's just too much, despite the plentiful pools. Kids can experience activities like an on-site coral nursery or participate in Star Camp, which is broken out into three age groups between 4 and 17.
- Wide selection of connecting suites and family suites
- Use of multiple property amenities within the complex
- Emphasis on environmental sustainability
- Large property can be confusing to get around
- Kids club not available for children under age 4
Best for multigenerational travel
The fives beach hotel & residences, mexico.
The best part about a multigenerational trip is having the whole family under one roof, with plenty of spaces to gather and opportunities to connect. At The Fives Beach Hotel & Residences in Mexico's Riviera Maya, you can even have everyone under one roof—which is offered with the all-inclusive two- and three-bedroom penthouse resort residence. These bedrooms are connected via an entry hall and feature a full kitchen, a spacious dining room, a living room with a sectional, a jetted tub and ample seating on the rooftop deck. There's no shortage of communal spaces throughout the resort either, with 10 restaurants, five bars and pool- and beachfront loungers at this AAA Four Diamond all-inclusive resort in Mexico .
- Flexible room options
- Plentiful communal spaces for making shared memories
- Extraordinarily wide selection of specialty restaurants
Room choices may be confusing
Best for autistic guests
Beaches ocho rios, jamaica.
Traveling with autistic children can be challenging, but with some help and support, it's far from impossible. This Jamaican property is part of the Beaches brand—the family arm of honeymoon favorite Sandals—which is the first resort company in the world to complete the rigorous training required to offer autism-friendly, fully staffed kids camps at no additional cost. It even hosts a tailored Autism All-Inclusive Week each year.
One of the cheapest all-inclusive resorts, it features sensory-friendly spaces, attention to dietary modifications, advanced autism-certification-holding water sports, a PADI scuba diving certification, a marine park and a kids' camp. The optional one-on-one Beach Buddies program offers an even more tailored experience, and the Sesame Street partnership is universally beloved. Extra-large standard rooms provide space for a family to stretch out.
- A certified autism center with an advanced designation
- Great loyalty program for future discounts
- Sesame Street partnership
- Prices may run higher
Best for teens
Hard rock hotel riviera maya, mexico.
It can be hard to get a teen to buy into a family vacation —but not when you promise it'll rock hard. That's practically a guarantee at this large all-inclusive property in Mexico's Riviera Maya. Rooms are spacious and decorated in warm, rich tones, but that's not what makes it hot. Teens have access to some super-sweet amenities that will have them rethinking how cool a vacay with the 'rents can be.
Dance contests, music quizzes, water balloon fights and paddle board lessons are all on their list of activities, and teens can play in the HyperX Gaming Lounge—which is fully equipped with Xboxes, Nintendo Switches, gaming PCs and a VR station—until midnight. Then there's the Music Lab for serious bragging rights. This program lets kids and teens take part in a jam band, record a music session with a producer, star in a music video, borrow a real Fender guitar and more. But everyone's a kid at the on-site Rockaway Bay Water Park.
- Teen-friendly features, including a gaming lounge, music lab and water park
- Mature and tween-geared amenities and programs
- Diverse range of dining options for picky eaters
- Can be at the top range of the budget
Best for couples
Royalton chic punta cana, dominican republic.
Modern, swanky and sexy, this newer adults-only offshoot of the Royalton resort brand is designed to keep things spicy. Stylish, ultra-contemporary suites with underlit DreamBeds are another spot to rest your eyes … or not. Included 24-hour room service lets you stay in bed or on your private balcony or terrace, but reservation-free dining at seven restaurants means date night during your romantic getaway is only steps away.
For the different love languages couples may share, fitness facilities, a spa and a casino let guests choose the way they want to make memories. But novelty acts like CHIC Angels—who appear without fail at the weekly foam party at the oversized pool—and a mermaid pool give couples something new to talk about at every turn. Any lulls in conversation and connection should be reserved for dozing off on the goldenrod sands of Uvero Alto.
- Adults-only resort
- Stylish, trendy and luxurious—great for reigniting a spark
- Magnificent pool with ample seating in and around it
- 24-hour room service included
- Can be loud by the pool
- Limited ocean views
Best for trips with friends
Hotel riu santa fe, mexico.
Whether you're looking for a cheap all-inclusive resort for a bachelor or bachelorette party, birthday party or any kind of friends' trip at all, Riu Santa Fe in Los Cabos is a recently renovated and highly happening resort in Mexico that's perfect for groups. With room setups that include supersized king beds, twin extra-long beds and two double beds, plus by-request adjoining rooms for in-person wake-up calls and an enormous inventory of accommodations, there's a configuration for every kind of friend group.
The hotel offers party-atmosphere events that vary by day ... or night. During the daylight hours, expect jungle- and pink-themed parties at the adults-only pool, and if that's not your idea of a good time, there are nine different pools to splash in on this property. Twice weekly, a DJ spins as live entertainers perform. What's more, it's one of the few Hotel Riu properties that allow spring breakers if you're really looking to let loose.
- Room setups that easily accommodate friend groups
- Adults-only pool parties
- On-site water park open six days a week
- Like many Los Cabos beaches, this one is not swimmable
- With 1,200 rooms, this is a very large property to navigate
Best for travelers with dietary restrictions
Grand palladium punta cana resort & spa, dominican republic.
Rather than a place for all you can eat, this resort is where anyone can eat. That's thanks to an allergy-conscious program created with dietitians and strictly enforced by chefs and food-prep staff. Guests are asked to identify their food allergies at check-in and are issued a color-coded bilingual card that also gives them a cheat sheet for buffet selections and menu items at any a la carte restaurant.
Lovers of warm-water beaches will also enjoy access to the neighboring Grand Palladium Bavaro Resort & Spa and Grand Palladium Palace Resort & Spa, which means access to 13 bars and six beach bars throughout the complex. The resort also offers a sports center—or you can reserve one of four badminton, six hard-floor tennis, four paddleball or six pétanque courts. You can relax in the spacious, contemporary rooms, whose dimensions start at 376 square feet, or settle into your own personal hydro-massage bath.
- Allergy-friendly dining
- Global a la carte restaurant themes go beyond the expected
- Kids will love the pool with a pirate ship
- Additional charge for room service
- Reservations are required for dining
Best for eco-friendliness
Bahia principe grand tulum, mexico.
Learning to appreciate different cultures and the world around us is one of the best parts of traveling, and it's never too early to teach that lesson. This recently renovated eco-friendly resort offers a multitude of fun ways for children to discover that, from a kids' club with 10 Mayan-themed play areas—including a zip line and a water park—to planned activities, such as archeological digs and stories about the ancient gods of the jungle.
The Eco Bahia program puts an environmental slant on its teachings and is part of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts' commitment to responsible travel. This focus has won the resort multiple awards for sustainability and social and environmental responsibility , which is even more impressive when you consider the breadth of what it offers: six restaurants, a buffet that has its own kids' section, a teens' club designed with input from actual teens and exchange privileges with free shuttle service every 10 minutes to nearby Bahia Principe Grand Coba.
- Committed to ecological conservation through water, waste, energy and recycling programs
- Meticulously maintained white-sand beach
- Extensive kids services and attractions with an emphasis on local culture, history and the environment
- Semiformal resort attire required for a la carte restaurants
- Only one hour of non-motorized sports allowed daily
Best for a character-themed vacation
Nickelodeon punta cana, dominican republic.
Can't get enough Nick Jr. or Nick at Nite throwbacks? The Nickelodeon hotel in Punta Cana is a fully immersive experience into the world of Nickelodeon, and the whole cast of characters is present and accounted for. The crew from PAW Patrol , Dora the Explorer , Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , Fairly OddParents , SpongeBob SquarePants and all of their friends pop up daily, and scheduled "slime" dumps at the water park—for which admission is also included—are all part of any trip here. The rooms are also decorated with the channel's style in mind, including splashes of that signature orange, but given the polish of contemporary luxury .
Novelty restaurants in the nine-restaurant Gourmet Village range from space-inspired dining to a gorgeous marketplace with cooking stations, proving that wanting a kid-at-heart, playful experience doesn't have to come at the expense of grown-up taste.
- Nickelodeon theme including kids' favorite characters
- No additional cost for character encounters
- Certified Autism Center since 2018
- Plentiful amenities for families with kids of all ages
- Smaller rooms for the money
- Need to walk to the water park
Best for entertainment
Grand oasis cancún, mexico.
The Grand Oasis Cancún is party central in the heart of Cancún's all-inclusive haven, the Hotel Zone. It takes its cue from Las Vegas but adds plenty of Mexican spice for something really special. Bungee, tightropes, beach soccer and water slides also make fellow guests part of the entertainment.
At the open-air bar Zocalo, a DJ spins three times a week, and a live band and Mexican or Caribbean celebrations take place the other four. Multiple other venues take the spotlight once the sun sets: the Oasis Arena features concerts by international artists—and is known to host a boxing championship or two. Fire and drum shows take place at the Atrium theater, but for something more risqué, the Kinky Night Club, featuring burlesque, live music and sketch acts, draws in revelers. Then there's the 24-hour casino, plus 13 restaurants to choose from. Or go for the extra-cost sensory gastronomy and specialty restaurant experiences if your favorite performance art is culinary.
- Nonstop schedule of events for those who like to stay busy
- Adults-only spaces, evening venues and entertainment
- Can be loud and overstimulating
- Several restaurants require additional cost
Best for active travelers
Platinum yucatán princess, mexico.
You'll definitely get your daily steps in at the Platinum Yucatán Princess while exploring the grounds, visiting all 13 of its pools or hanging out at its two sister properties, Grand Riviera Princess and Grand Sunset Princess. They're connected with walking trails, but you can get acquainted with them via a guided bike tour first. This resort has the usual gym, spa and shops for low-key activity, but its Activity Zone is appropriately named. That's where organized activities, music and a weekly foam party take place. You can unleash your inner, past or present athlete at the Sports Park, which features batting cages, a putting green, ping-pong, mini billiards, an air rifle target range and more. Or head over to the tennis courts.
However you choose to spend your busy day, you don't have to worry about planning ahead—reservations aren't needed at the five included restaurants. Afterward, relax in spacious rooms with glossy, polished tile floors, a seating area and a furnished balcony or terrace. All are junior suites and fitted with cool, neutral decor, with pops of jewel tones in the trim.
- Plenty of offerings for active travelers, especially at the Activity Zone
- No reservations required for most a la carte restaurants
- Access to two sister resorts
- No beachfront views
- Guests must be 18 or older
Best for spa lovers
Grand palladium palace resort & spa, dominican republic.
Part of the Grand Palladium resort complex on Bavaro Beach, this property is the one to choose if R&R is high on your priority list. While the services at Zentropia Palladium Spa & Wellness aren't included, as is the case with most resorts and hotels, they're all within steps of your room if you stay here. It's considered one of the most extensive spas in the Dominican Republic, with a jetted tub, Turkish bath, vapor bath, sauna and an extensive service menu that includes hair treatments, waxes, manis and pedis, facial and body treatments, exfoliation and a full gamut of massage styles.
After or in between treatments, relax at any of this spa resort 's six pools. They're all great, but we might recommend The Secret, an adults-only pool open until midnight. Looking to get some activity? Let the kids have their pirate ship (it's a feature of one of the pools, as are water slides)—if you want to ramp things up yourself, just go to the well-equipped fitness center attached to the spa.
- Elevated spa offering a wide variety of services
- Exchange privileges with adjacent Grand Palladium Bavaro Suites Resort and Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa
- Adults-only The Secret pool
- No reservations required for dining
- Reservations are required
Best for golfers
Meliá caribe beach resort, dominican republic.
For those who find "free golf" the best value for their green, it's hard to overlook the Melia Caribe Beach Resort , one of the best affordable all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana, which offers complimentary rounds with some stays—especially when it's designed by six-time Spanish champ Jose "Pepe" Gancedo. The three nine-hole courses are interspersed with coconut trees and beautiful lakes.
The resort's interiors are classically colonial with a timeless cream and dark wood scheme. All of these are steps from a prime location on Bavaro Beach—a short meander away, past 13 restaurants and through tropical gardens. There's also the Splash Island Water Park, where the kids can play in the water as you do the same on the green. For even more to do, this resort offers a complimentary shuttle to the theme park Katmandu Park and sells tickets to the attraction right on site.
- Golf is listed among the resort's inclusions for select stays
- Wide selection of restaurants
- Complimentary shuttle to Katmandu Park
- Golf cart rental not included
- Need to rent golf clubs at an additional cost or pack your own

Meet our CEO
Steve Baldelli
Steve Baldelli started Travel Resorts in 1986 at the age of 27 after a call from his friend Jim who had found some beautiful property in Pinehurst, North Carolina after a round of golf. Steve flew down from Minnesota to come to see the land and when he got there, there were 12 unfinished RV sites, a lodge, and a hole in the ground that was supposed to be a pool. He fell in love. Steve and his partner had no idea how to run a campground, but he knew he wanted to focus on three things: Taking people out of their normal element, making it close enough to home but far enough away to be a get-away, and making it affordable so all families could enjoy the campgrounds together multiple times a year.
35 years later, Steve has built Travel Resorts into 11 premier RV campgrounds from Florida to New York and now just recently has started venturing into the Midwest!
As a father of 3, an avid wine connoisseur, foodie, and lover of travel, Steve lives a busy adventurous life, but his heart is in providing the best camping memories to his members. You can find him at any of the resorts throughout the year, interacting with members, planting fun ideas in the activities directors’ heads, and always thinking about how to enhance our members’ experience. Because of Steve and his vision, Travel Resorts really is the definition of the Pursuit of Happiness.

Score 1,000 Delta SkyMiles When You Book a Hilton Stay For a Limited Time
The promotion is running until May 6.
Courtesy of Delta
Delta has teamed up with Hilton Honors to offer 1,000 miles on stays at thousands of hotels worldwide.
“Delta SkyMiles members, enjoy a limited-time offer on Hilton stays,” the airline shared about the new promotion on its website .
First, travelers must join both Hilton and Delta ’s programs if they haven’t already and register for the latest promotion by Monday, May 6. Then, Hilton Honors members will need to link their Delta SkyMiles number under the “Preferred Travel Partners” section of their profile.
Delta will award 1,000 SkyMiles for an eligible Hilton reservation booked directly with cash through Hilton’s website or the Hilton Honors app and completed by July 7, 2024. A maximum of three hotel reservations can be booked during the travel window, which gives the potential to earn a total of 3,000 SkyMiles through this promotion.
It could take up to six to eight weeks after the stay is over before the miles are deposited, but they won’t count toward earning elite status with Delta, according to the promotion.
This isn’t the first time Delta has partnered with other travel and lifestyle loyalty programs, giving members plenty of opportunities to earn miles even if they’re not flying. Travelers can also register to earn 1 mile per dollar spent at Starbucks and Airbnb thanks to these exclusive partnerships. Finally, members can earn SkyMiles from spending on Delta co-branded credit cards or flying SkyTeam partner airlines such as Aeromexico or Virgin Atlantic.
Delta SkyMiles can then be redeemed for free flights roughly at 1.2 cents apiece, and the airline will often run flash sales where members can redeem miles for flight deals. It’s also possible to redeem SkyMiles for Delta Vacations packages for at least 15 percent more value, which bundle flights, hotels, and car rentals at a discounted rate.
Upstate NY hotel cancels solar eclipse reservations for hundreds of visitors

During the total solar eclipse, the Sun’s corona, only visible during the total eclipse, is shown as a crown of white flares from the surface. The red spots called Bailey's beads occurs where the moon grazes by the Sun and the rugged lunar limb topography allows beads of sunlight to shine through in some areas as photographed from NASA Armstrong’s Gulfstream III. Nothing ruins the excitement of a fun vacation like last minute cancellations from flights to hotels. Some hopeful solar eclipse watchers heading to Buffalo are scrambling at the last minute after a local hotel canceled all of their reservations.
Buffalo News reported that Chris Donnelly, owner of Sugar Tours Inc. travel agency, spent two years planning to bring 250 people to the Western NY city to watch the once-in-a-lifetime total solar eclipse on April 8.
Donnelly signed a contract with two local hotels in 2022 to house all of his guests, some of which are traveling from as far away as Australia.
According to Yahoo News , he had reserved more than 100 rooms between the Aloft Buffalo Airport and Hampton Inn and Suites Buffalo Airport. In January 2024, Donnelly confirmed the booking and conversed with the hotel about other logistics such as breakfast.
Everything seemed to be squared away, until last month, when the hotel suddenly canceled everything.
He told Yahoo News that he was given no reason for the cancelation and was told over the phone by a hotel staffer, “We’re canceling your contracts and there’s no ands, ifs or buts.”
With the help of Visit Buffalo Niagara, all of the travelers on Sugar Tours were rebooked to other hotels, but at this late stage of the game, the accommodations were more expensive. Donnelly’s company is eating the cost of the difference, upwards of $30,000.

Donnelly is not alone in these troubles.
PIX 11 detailed the woes of Terrance Brady and his siblings from across the country, who planned to meet in Buffalo to experience the eclipse together. They booked their rooms at Aloft Buffalo Airport in May 2023.
They were emailed this week saying their reservations have been canceled. The message from the hotel manager said a glitch in the online reservation system overbooked their property.
Buffalo News said a Facebook user named Teresa Baker claimed her Aloft Buffalo Airport eclipse reservation was restored after tagging the company and the state attorney general in several social media posts.
“This is not the image or the reputation that we would like for Buffalo. We are the city of good neighbors and this is not a neighborly act that we would want any of our visitors or our customers or clients to experience,” said Patrick Kaler, the CEO and President of Visit Buffalo Niagara told PIX 11.
The State Attorney General’s Office said it has received complaints about price gouging due to the eclipse and is encouraging people to file their consumer complaints with them.
