J. Cole and Drake

The Super Bowl is here — not the crew of Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift, and Patrick Mahomes, but the rap Super Bowl consisting of the genre’s biggest heavyweights — Drake and J. Cole — as they kicked off their hotly anticipated It’s All A Blur – Big as the What? Tour Friday night (Feb. 2) at Tampa, Fla.’s Amalia Arena.

Even though Drake and Cole don’t aspire to have gridiron dreams, they certainly electrified like NFL superstars with their signature hits ranging from their Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “First Person Shooter” to their early collaboration “In the Morning.” The set design was a turf-style football field with a colossal statue of fallen fashion designer Virgil Abloh parked at the end zone.

The redux version of Drake’s It’s All A Blur Tour had extra bells and whistles versus the previous effort, including newer songs, most notably from Drake’s  For All The Dogs  albums and classic B-side records that he didn’t perform the last time. Drake also enlisted sports personality and ESPN  First Take  host Stephen A. Smith on commentary to kick off the show. Smith provided a colorful analysis of Drizzy and Cole as if they were perennial all-stars on the brink of falling off.

Fortunately, Drake and Cole proved why they’re immune to any possible slippage, as demonstrated by their Herculean performance, which consisted of over 40 songs.

Check out the setlist for Drake and Cole’s It’s All A Blur — Big as the What Tour, based on the opening night show at Tampa’s Amalie Arena.

Finally, the “Sneakin'” duo joined forces on stage for “ Knife Talk ,” “On BS,” “ Spin Bout U ,” “Jimmy Cooks,” and “Rich Flex.” Drake ended the night with “Legend,” the opener to his 2015 mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late , just like he closed his Apollo shows back in January. Check out the full setlist in the tweet above.

Another major feature at the Chicago tour stop was a large statue of the late Virgil Abloh , a close friend of The 6 God, throwing a paper airplane. During one part of the show, sperm cells floated around the stage, which caused an uproar on the internet.

The tour was originally supposed to begin on June 29 in Memphis, but Drake and 21 postponed that show and the July 1 show in Columbus, Ohio. OVO Sound representatives told Vulture that this sudden change was due to DJ Prince, the tour DJ, having health complications related to cancer.

Drake and 21 Savage delivered a jam-packed setlist for the opening night of the “ It’s All A Blur ” tour that launched at Chicago’s United Center on July 5. The show marked Drake’s first concert stretch across North America since the “Aubrey & the Three Migos” tour hit over 40 arenas in 2018.

From there, he dove into a hits-filled set that included “Marvins Room,” “Headlines,” and “The Motto,” tallying up to a total of over 40 songs, according to setlist.fm .

21 Savage joined the festivities later in the show, making his entrance with “Red Opps,” and teamed with Drake for “Spin Bout U,” “Jimmy Cooks,” and “Rich Flex” from their “Her Loss” collab album. The rapper performed a total of 12 songs on his own while Drake’s solo set doubled that.

During the last few songs, someone in the audience threw their cell phone at Drake, hitting him in the arm in the process. In the past few weeks, several pop singers — namely Bebe Rexha, who was left with a black eye after someone hit launched a phone at her — have experienced similar unruly behavior from fans at shows. Drake didn’t react to or address the mishap on stage and closed with a vampish rendition of “Legend” from “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.”

Photos from Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Paris show reveal new Tortured Poets Department outfits

Taylor Swift singing passionately into a microphone, in a white dress shaking her head

Taylor Swift's two-year world tour has resumed after the release of her new album Tortured Poets Department, with the European leg kicking off in Paris.

Swift's Eras Tour began in March last year, with dozens and dozens of shows since then.

Given it has been going on for so long, fans have compiled comprehensive information about set list and costumes for the tour.

There are slight variations at her shows, with some slots in her set list for what fans have dubbed "surprise songs".

And she's worn various iterations of the same costume.

However, generally speaking, the shows have been pretty much the same each time.

But, because this was her first show since Tortured Poets Department, there was much speculation about how different it would be from previous shows .

So there was a lot of focus on Thursday night's show in the La Defense Arena in the French capital.

New outfits

Swift wore a white dress with lyrics to Tortured Poets Department songs on it, with the structured fabric looking like pages of paper.

She incorporated an on-stage costume change into her act.

Swift took off the white dress to reveal a sparkly black two-piece, throwing a gold jacket over the top.

We'd not seen that on stage before.

But there were also changes to regular costumes — including the colours in the Lover bodysuit and the slogan on the T-shirt she wears while singing the song 22.

Previous iterations of that shirt had said "WHO'S TAYLOR SWIFT ANYWAY? EW." and "WE ARE NEVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER LIKE EVER".

Taylor Swift singing in a white singlet top dress with a full skirt with lyrics written on it

New set list

We didn't have an ABC reporter on the ground in Paris to compare the set list to her Australian shows.

So for news on this front we went to a social media account run by an anonymous Taylor Swift fan for updates.

That may sound fraught, but @tswifterastour has become the authoritative — albeit unofficial — voice on all things Eras Tour, with more than half a million followers. ( Cosmopolitan did a great interview with the person behind this account, if you're interested .)

It's the account behind that "seemingly ranch" tweet that went viral last year, if that means anything to you.

Then we cross-referenced that with a report from the BBC .

What new songs are on the Eras Tour set list?

Here are the new songs that Swift performed in Paris on Thursday night:

  • But Daddy I Love Him
  • So High School
  • Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me?
  • The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
  • I Can Do It With a Broken Heart

What songs were cut?

Here are the songs that used to feature on the set list but weren't played by Swift:

  • The Archer (Lover)
  • Long Live (Speak Now)
  • The 1 (Folklore)
  • The last great American dynasty (Folklore)
  • 'Tis the damn season (Evermore)
  • Tolerate it (Evermore)

And with new songs came new dance numbers and props.

Live from Paris: Taylor Swift adds 'Tortured Poets' songs to Eras Tour in France

PARIS, France — The Chairman jump-started her tour after a two-month hiatus, and anticipation was high over whether Taylor Swift would incorporate her 11th era album into the Eras Tour set at La Défense Arena on Thursday.

She did and then some.

Swift extended the set list by one track to land at 46 songs. But many changes were made along the way. She added a new era for "The Tortured Poets Department," cut a handful of songs and rearranged most of the eras including combining the sets for "Folklore" and "Evermore."

She also debuted a number of new outfits along the way.

Delivering all the updates were Bryan West, the USA TODAY Network's full-time Taylor Swift reporter, from inside La Défense Arena in Paris, with Swiftie and trending reporter Anthony Robledo assisting from his desk.

We hereby present the minutes from the first Eras Tour meeting in Paris, France.

More: Taylor Swift unveils new Eras Tour set list in Paris

'Midnights' set follows secret songs

Swift stuck to her original set list for the "Midnights" era by singing "Lavender Haze," "Anti-Hero" and "Midnight Rain." She ended the night with a triumphant rendition of "Karma" as usual.

'loml' is second secret song

Fans got one more taste of "The Tortured Poets Department" when Swift played the heartbreaking song "loml" on the piano during her secret set.

'Paris' is a secret song, of course

Swift started her secret set with "Paris," a bonus song from her "Midnights" album.

'Tortured Poets' set list

Swift played these songs from her newest album:

  • "But Daddy I Love Him"
  • "So High School"
  • "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me"
  • "Fortnight"
  • "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived"
  • "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart"

New 'Tortured Poets' set is here

Toward the end of her show, Swift officially launched the long-awaited “The Tortured Poets Department” section of the tour after the 1989 era.

Swift performed the track “But Daddy I Love Him” off the April 19 album for her ecstatic fans while wearing a new beige dress with cursive letters.

A road spiraled down the catwalk in an animation to initiate the era. The background animation showed a deserted road while large cages animated and fell on the road.

“Oh my god you should see your faces,” she sang.

She quickly segued into a brief moment of “So High School,” the beloved track speculated to be about her romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. She quickly performed the powerhouse anthem “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me.”

Swift switched to “Down Bad” before seamlessly transitioning into the lead single “Fortnight.” Stage production recreated an asylum that resembled the music video for the song with Post Malone, recorded harmony played concluding the song.

Dancers entered the stage in a marching band style format playing drums as she performed the wrath-fueled song “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.” Jan Ravnik and Kameron Saunders then revived Swift in a jazzy skit to set up “I Can Do With A Broken Heart,” where she debuted another new outfit.

“The End” text displayed wrapping up the era that’s likely here to stay. Other beloved tracks like “Guilty As Sin” and “Florida!” did not make the cut.

New '1989' outfit

Swift never goes out of Style. During her “1989” set, she debuted a new, sequined outfit of blue and pink. Her sparkly shoes matched with a different colored heel on each. For the bridge of “Blank Space,” the crowd started chanting in Sydney, Australia, “Syd-ney” as a nod to the 1989 World Tour concert movie where Swift would chant the name of the city she was in after hitting a pole with a club two times. Singapore followed the chant and Taylor Nation tweeted they want every city to incorporate the fan-fueled chant. In Paris, thousands chanted “Par-ee,” the French way to say the capital city.

Swift made no cuts to the "1989" set.

Four songs cut from 'Folklore' and 'Evermore'

The new set list cut four tracks from the "Folklore" and "Evermore" eras:

  • "'Tis the Damn Season"
  • "Tolerate It"
  • "The Last Great American Dynasty"

The combined set included eight songs altogether and wrapped up with "Willow."

'Folkmore' set debuts

Swift revealed she merged the 2020 pandemic albums “Folklore” and “Evermore” into one section. She told fans she wrote “Folklore” to represent spring and summer with “Evermore” representing fall and winter in what she always considered sister albums.

“On the Eras Tour we have now reunited the sisters, combined them into one chapter,” she said. “You can call it whatever you want as long as you promise to sing ‘Champagne Problems’ with me.”

'Folklore' set: 'Cardigan' makes the cut

Many fans had speculated "Cardigan" would be cut from the set list. But Swift actually moved it to the top of the "Folklore" set.

Up next: 'Reputation'

Swift kicked off her fifth set with "Ready for It?"

Another surprise: 'Speak Now' era comes fourth

Swift updated her "Speak Now" set with an intro dance featuring Raphael Thomas and eight other dancers wearing flowy purple dresses. She then sang "Enchanted."

Fan favorite track "Long Live" was cut from the set list.

Order of eras changed

After a fairly routine "Fearless" set, Swift altered her concert by including the “Red” era third instead of the expected “Evermore” set. Previously, "Red" came fifth.

With a new shirt that read “This Is Not Taylor’s Version,” the singer performed "22" and showed her audience that they needed to leave any expectations at home.

The relocated "Red" set included the same four songs: "22," "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "All Too Well (10-Minute Version)."

Beflore playing “All Too Well (10 Minute Version),” Swift talked about bringing all of her favorite memories to France. She did her 2019 “Lover” live show here but hadn’t brought a tour to the country since the Speak Now World Tour 13 years ago.“I cannot thank you enough. I’m so moved," she said.

Follow along with set list changes here .

First set list change

Swift cut "The Archer" from her "Lover" set before beginning her "Fearless" set in a silver and black minidress as opposed to her classic gold one. A graphic showed her "Lover" house with a new addition in the attic for "The Tortured Poets Department." Her "Fearless" set remained the same with "Fearless," "You Belong With Me" and "Love Story."

More: Taylor Swift's 'Love Story' castle will soon host weddings

'Je m'appelle Taylor'

In her monologue before playing the song "Lover," Swift said the night would span 18 years of music. Previously, the concert covered 16 years. Get ready for a "The Tortured Poets Department" addition some time tonight.

She confirmed the tour would still go era by era, and also spoke about how Paramore is a band she idolized since she was a teenager. She ended with some French: "Je m'appelle Taylor."

First new outfit

Swift debuted a new, orange bodysuit and jacket for the "Lover" set.

Snippet of 'Tortured Poets' in intro

A snippet of the song "The Tortured Poets Department" was included in the intro music Swift kicks the concert off with. Is she foreshadowing other changes ahead? It seems likely.

Taylor Swift takes the stage

Swift took the stage about 8 p.m. in Paris (2 p.m. ET) to relaunch her Eras Tour in Europe. She kicked it off with a countdown clock and the Lesley Gore song "You Don't Own Me" as usual. Then she began her "Lover" set with "Miss Americana."

Paramore covers Blondie, Talking Heads in Paris set list

At the Paris show Thursday, Paramore energized fans with eight tracks including their cover off the upcoming “Stop Making Sense” tribute album out May 17 featuring artists like Miley Cyrus and Lorde.

Debuting a blond mullet, lead singer Hayley Williams encouraged fans to dance without fear of judgment ahead of Swift’s performance.

“Enjoy your time with Miss Taylor, we will see you next time,” Williams said.

Paramore's set list included:

  • "Hard Times"
  • "Burning Down the House" (Talking Heads cover)
  • "Caught in the Middle"
  • “Brick by Boring Brick”
  • “The Only Exception”
  • “That’s What You Get”
  • “Ain't It Fun”
  • “This Is Why”

Paramore begins their set

At about 6:45 p.m. in Paris (12:45 p.m. ET), Paramore began their set, officially restarting the second year of the historic Eras Tour. Lead singer Hayley Williams sported a new, blond mullet hairdo.

Paramore opens European leg of Eras Tour

The American rock band is joining Swift on her European leg of 51 shows. Paramore also opened the show for two nights in Glendale, Arizona, in 2023. Their setlist then included nine songs:

  • "This Is Why"
  • "That’s What You Get"
  • "The Only Exception"
  • "Still Into You"
  • "Rose-Colored Boy"
  • "Misery Business"
  • "Ain’t It Fun"

Where to watch the Eras Tour livestreams

The Eras Tour is one of the first tours that has been followed, globally, by thousands of fans on digital platforms. Fans dedicate part of their concert experience to livestreaming as Swift performs. Livestream Queen Tess Bohne has spearheaded the "Great War" to find fans going live on social media and broadcasting a custom show to tens of thousands of fans almost every night on her account @tessdear .

On YouTube, user @TaylorSwiftHockeyBro also livestreams the 3-hour show, and on Twitch, @folkleric is a host fans follow.

All changes Taylor Swift made to the Eras tour following ‘The Tortured Poets Department' release: New setlist, costumes, & more

T aylor Swift made several changes to the Eras Tour after she returned to the outing following the release of her latest album - The Tortured Poets Department. Apart from taking over the stage at the La DĂ©fense Arena in Paris (May 9) with seven songs from her new album, the Grammy-winning singer was also seen in new costumes.

Fans witnessed Taylor inaugurating the European leg in a custom 'Versace Lover bodysuit' and a sunset orange blazer. The singer also wore a new white gown while performing on tracks from the new album for the first time - But Daddy I Love Him, Down Bad, Fortnight, I Can Do It With a Broken Heart , and more.

Additionally, the reconstructed Eras tour now includes new choreography, enhanced visual effects, and snippets from the new TTPD album on the big screen. The setlist for the tour has also undergone several changes as hits like The Archer and Long Live were cut from the Speak Now era.

Taylor Swift also merged the Folklore and Evermore eras while excluding tracks like Tis the Damn Season, Tolerate It, The 1, and The Last Great American Dynasty. The Folk-more era now includes seven performances on - Cardigan, Betty, Champagne Problems, August, Marjorie, and Willow.

Taylor Swift welcomes Eras Tour with 10 new costumes and a reconstructed setlist

The ongoing Eras Tour now comprises at least 10 costumes representing different Eras. As mentioned earlier, Taylor Swift opened the show with the Lover era in a glamourous set of a Versace Lover bodysuit and sunset orange blazer. The singer then changed into a black and silver dress with black boots for the Fearless era.

The Red portion of the Eras tour still opened with a slogan tee, and this time around the tee read "This is not Taylor's Version". She then switched to a glimmering Red bodysuit for the other half of the portion as she sang a 10-minute version of All Too Well.

While the Roberto Cavalli bodysuit for the Reputation era has seen no changes in the last 14 months, the Folk-more set is now being welcomed with a fresh yellow gown. The 1989 era reminded fans of the original era as Taylor Swift wore a blue mini-skater skirt and a hot-pink crop top.

The all-new TTPD era also allowed fans to witness Swift in an all-new white gown embroidered with the album's lyrics. She also topped off the outfit with a matching white overcoat. For the remaining section of the era, she changed into a 'black sequin crop top' and a gold coat.

Taylor Swift wore a new two-toned pink dress for the surprise songs Paris and Loml. The singer wrapped up the performance while adorning a new Navy blue bodysuit for the Midnight era as she performed on Lavendar Haze, Anti-Hero, Midnight Rain, Vigilante Sh*t, Bejeweled, and Mastermind

The Grammy-winning singer also re-ordered some of the eras for the ongoing tour while adding and removing some tracks. The new order and setlist for Taylor Swift's Eras tour now includes:

  • Lover - Miss American and the Heartbreak Prince, Cruel Summer, The Man, You Need to Calm Down, and Lover
  • Fearless - Fearless, You Belong with Me, and Love Story
  • Red - 22, We Are Never Getting Back Together, I Knew You Were Trouble, and All Too Well
  • Speak Now - Enchanted
  • Reputation - Ready For It?, Delicate, Don't Blame Me, Look What You Made Me Do
  • Folk-more - Cardigan, Betty, Champagne Problems, August, Marjorie, and Willow
  • 1989 - Style, Blank Space, Shake It Off, Wildest Dreams, and Bad Blood
  • The Tortured Poets Department - But Daddy I Love Him, So High School, Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?, Down Bad, Fortnight, The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, and I Can It With A Broken Heart
  • Surprise songs - Paris, and Loml
  • Midnights - Lavendar Haze, Anti-Hero, Midnight Rain, Vigilante Sh*t, Bejeweled, and Mastermind

The choreographic changes to the Eras tour comprised the inclusion of guitars for the Paris set, while the Loml set was performed with piano. Black-and-white visuals were also added to the tour along with alien spaceships and moving platforms.

Taylor Swift's 11th studio album - The Tortured Poets Department - was released last month on April 19. The singer had been working on the album for the last two years as she continued to tour across the globe for her Eras Tour.

Taylor's double album broke several streaming and sales records across the world with 31 thrilling tracks, including - Fortnight, The Tortured Poets Department, Down Bad, But Daddy I Love Him, Florida, Loml, The Alchemy, Clara Bow, and The Bolter, among others.

Taylor Swift unveils new Eras Tour set list in Paris with these 'Tortured Poets' tracks

all blur tour setlist

PARIS — Fans waited two months for Taylor Swift to return to her Eras Tour . It was worth it. On Thursday, the singer-songwriter relaunched the massive tour at La Défense Arena in Paris after releasing her 11th era album "The Tortured Poets Department" last month.

Swift extended the set list by one track to land at 46 songs. But many changes were made along the way. She added a new era for "The Tortured Poets Department," cut a handful of songs from other eras and rearranged most of the eras including combining the sets for "Folklore" and "Evermore."

A year ago, the 3-hour, 10-era set list with 44 songs was unveiled in Glendale, Arizona. The singer switched her "Folklore" opener from "Invisible String" to "The 1" in Texas (only bringing the former song back once in Nashville where a bench is dedicated to her in Centennial Park ). After the release of "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" in Kansas City, Missouri, crowd-favorite "Long Live" was added to make the set list 45 tracks long.

Here's everything she played in Paris to kick off the European leg of the Eras Tour:

Just call it tortured couture.

Following a two-month break, Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour resumed in Paris, France, on Thursday — and along with adding several songs from her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” to the already-sprawling setlist, the superstar treated lucky ticket holders to some fresh fashion, too.

Swift performed new tunes “But Daddy I Love Him,” “So High School,” “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?,” “Down Bad” and “Fortnight” wearing a white taffeta dress with a corseted bodice, dramatic hip draping and her own lyrics (“I love you, it’s ruining my life”) scrawled down the high-low skirt — a custom design by Vivienne Westwood, as the brand confirmed to Page Six Style.

Taylor Swift performing

She accessorized with one of the house’s signature three-row Orb chokers ($720) and, before launching into “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” topped off her gown with a matching white trench coat featuring military-style epaulettes and frogging.

Swift then switched things up with an on-stage costume change, stripping down to a second Vivienne Westwood ensemble: a black crystal-embellished bra top and briefs, which she layered beneath a metallic gold tailcoat with black crystal-embellished lapels to close out the “TTPD” section with “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

Taylor Swift performing

The new costumes are perfectly in line with the literature-inspired looks Swift’s been exploring while promoting “TTPD” — think corsets, pleated skirts and plenty of black and white .

“There’s definitely a ‘literary academia’ style that’s going on,” Taylor Swift Style blogger Sarah Chapelle told Page Six Style last month. “The [visuals] are telling a very cohesive story, which is clearly pointing to being inspired by female poets of the past.”

The “Black Dog” singer collaborated with a number of major fashion houses on her stage styles for the Eras Tour, all of which are inspired by her past album aesthetics .

Taylor Swift performing

Standouts include the bedazzled Atelier Versace bodysuits Swift wears during the “Lover” section of her performance, the sparkling Roberto Cavalli crop-top-and-miniskirt combos she sports for the “1989” segment and the flowing, fluttering Alberta Ferretti gowns that add ethereal drama to the “Folklore” portion of the show.

And given that the aforementioned brands provided several different color variations of each look for Swift to rotate between as her tour rolls on, additional “TTPD” costumes are practically guaranteed to pop up at the shows ahead.
