Trusted Service

Trusted Service

Reviews satisfied customers, professional, friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

We have been using AP Executive Travel to collect clients and staff for the last 18 months.  David is both professional, friendly and nothing is too much trouble.  He now knows most of our regular customers by name.

I now use AP Executive Travel now for my own personal transfers, and have recommended him to all our friends and family and we all know we will get top class services.

Would recommend his services to anyone top class service top class man.

Great to have a friendly face waiting for us

Great service from David plenty of room for a family of 5 & cases! Great to have a friendly face waiting for us after a long haul flight. Will definitely be using again & recommending his services.

Now that's proper service.

Just got back from Far East. AP Executive Travel took us to airport, in middle of the night & brought us all back, early this morning. We were due to land at 6.05 but we’re an hour early, due to a favourable tail wind.

David had taken the trouble to track our 8 hour flight from Doha & was there waiting for us, in his spotless 8 seater bus.

Now that’s proper service.

If you need reliable transport, for you and all your luggage, use AP Executive Travel. Can’t recommend them enough

We arrived at Manchester on time and relaxed

We used AP Executive Travel recently to take 8 members of a swing band plus instruments from various locations around the Colne valley to Manchester airport.

David was on time, very friendly and the minibus was immaculately clean and comfortable. His driving was impeccable and we arrived at Manchester on time and relaxed (if you can be with a 3am pick up!)

On our return he was waiting for us at the airport even though we were delayed (he had checked arrival times online and knew of our delay) and was welcoming and once again very efficient on getting us all home.

One of the party left a bag in the minibus and he went out of his way to get it back to us the same day.

I can’t recommend him highly enough! Fabulous service, would use him again!

Always on time

We have been using AP Executive Travel for a number of years now and they provide a friendly, excellent value for money, professional service. Always on time and incredibly flexible when the inevitable flight delay occurs, David and his team won’t let you down.

A friendly, super efficient service

We used AP Executive Travel for our teams’ transport around Scotland, the Lakes and Wales as we attempted the 3 peaks within 24hours.

Could not recommend this service enough! Dave got us where we needed to be in great time and even had hot drinks waiting for us as we arrived back from each mountain!

A friendly, super efficient service throughout the weekend.

Fantastic service. Dave is very friendly & polite. We used him for both drop off & pick up-both occasions very efficient. Will definitely use again & cant recommend him enough. A* service with a smile!!

Credit card interest rates are often higher than other financial products like personal loans or mortgages so it's best to pay off your credit card balance in full every month . However, that isn't always possible so many people may wind up with high-interest credit card debt. In these situations, taking advantage of a 0% balance transfer offer can reduce the interest you pay and help you pay off your credit card debt more quickly.

Chase is known for issuing some top travel credit cards , but it also has several cards that offer an intro 0% APR for balance transfers. Consider these Chase balance transfer credit cards if you're hunting for a balance transfer offer. (See our methodology for information on how we chose the best Chase balance transfer credit cards).

This card's insurance benefits include purchase protection, extended warranty protection, roadside dispatch and rental car collision and theft coverage (secondary in the U.S.).

[ Return to card summary ]

The Chase Freedom Unlimited® is one of CNBC Select's top no-annual-fee cash-back credit cards with a unique intro bonus and a handful of useful benefits to complement its cash-back earnings.

  • 6.5% cash back on travel booked through Chase Travel
  • 5% back on Lyft rides (through Mar. 31, 2025)
  • 4.5% cash back on dining
  • 4.5% cash back at drug stores
  • 3% cash back on all other purchases (on up to $20,000 spent in the first year)

Earn an additional 1.5% cash back on everything you buy (on up to $20,000 spent in the first year).

Cardholders can earn 5% cash back on Lyft rides through March 2025 and enroll for three complimentary months of DashPass (activate by Dec. 31, 2024). Purchases are also covered by a range of built-in protections like rental car collision damage insurance (secondary in the U.S.), extended warranty coverage, purchase protection and trip cancellation and interruption insurance.

While this is a cash-back credit card , you can boost the value of the rewards you earn by pairing this card with a Chase card that allows points transfers (such as the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card ). By transferring the rewards you earn to travel partners like World Hyatt, United MileagePlus and Air Canada Aeroplan, you can potentially book luxury hotels and flights for fewer points.

The Chase Freedom Flex℠ packs a punch with generous rewards in bonus categories that change every quarter and an easy-to-earn welcome bonus.

  • 5% cash back on the first $1,500 spent in categories that change each quarter, then 1% cash back (activation required)
  • 5% cash back on travel booked through Chase Ultimate Rewards®
  • 3% cash back on dining
  • 3% cash back at drug stores
  • 1% cash back on all other purchases

Earn a $200 bonus after spending $500 on purchases in the first three months from account opening.

Cardholders receive discounts and special perks with partners like Lyft and DoorDash. There are also many valuable built-in protections for a no-annual-fee card, including:

  • Cell phone insurance
  • Rental car insurance (secondary in the U.S.)
  • Extended warranty coverage
  • Purchase protection
  • Trip cancellation and interruption insurance

When you have a Chase card that unlocks the ability to transfer Chase points to hotel and airline partners (like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card) , it increases the value of the Freedom Flex. So this isn't only a strong standalone rewards credit card , but it has synergies with other cards.

How to complete a Chase balance transfer

Chase typically charges a balance transfer fee from 3% to 5% with a $5 minimum. Before you complete a balance transfer , be sure the interest you save will outweigh the fee.

There are several ways to do a balance transfer with Chase. One of the best and easiest options is to complete a balance transfer when you apply for a card. When you do this, you'll be able to make the most out of your intro APR because any 0% interest timeframe you qualify for begins when you open the card.

If you want to perform a balance transfer with a Chase card you already have, you'll need to log in to your account and follow these steps:

  • Click "Pay & Transfer"
  • Then click on the "Transfer" dropdown menu
  • Select "Card balance transfers"

You can then select any of your Chase cards from a dropdown menu and see what balance transfer offers are available.

Are Chase balance transfers worth it?

When you make a balance transfer, you'll generally pay a fee of 3% to 5% of the balance. To determine whether a balance transfer is worth it, calculate how much you would save in interest compared to how much you'd pay in transfer fees.

What is one disadvantage of a 0% interest balance transfer card?

Aside from the balance transfer fees, the biggest downside to a balance transfer is you'll have the same amount of credit card debt as before. If you don't have a plan, or the resources, to pay off your debt before the intro APR expires, you'll be stuck paying interest once again.

Do balance transfers hurt your credit?

A balance transfer doesn't directly hurt your credit score and could help improve your credit if you're able to pay down your debt. However, you'll want to keep in mind that your credit score will temporarily dip when you apply for new credit (including a balance transfer card).

Bottom line

The top balance transfer cards Chase issues offer intro APR periods of 15 to 18 months, and these intro APR offers also apply to purchases, making them even more useful. If you're interested in paying less interest , these are some of the best offers available. When you're in credit card debt, your primary focus should be repayment, not earning rewards, but the fact that some of the cards on this list earn rewards is a nice bonus.

Our methodology

To determine which Chase cards are best for balance transfers, CNBC Select analyzed the Chase credit cards with intro APR balance transfer offers. We compared each card on a range of features, including the annual fee, rewards, welcome bonus and balance transfer fee. We also considered additional perks, consumer protections, the application process when available and how easy it is to redeem rewards. However, when you're in credit card debt, your priority should be repayment, so we focused more on the cards that provide consumers with the cheapest ways to pay off their debt rather than the number of rewards they could potentially earn.

Transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards Points is a savvy way to maximize their value, granting flexibility and access to a wide array of travel redemptions. Chase offers a diverse selection of airline and hotel partners, allowing cardholders to transfer their points at a 1:1 ratio to 14 loyalty programs. Members can redeem points for flights, hotel stays and other travel expenses through partner programs, often yielding better value compared to cashback or statement credit redemptions.

Whether you’re aiming for a first class seat on an international flight or eyeing an all-inclusive resort in Cancun, the right Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer partner can unlock a world of travel opportunities. Here’s everything you need to know about how to transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points:

Understanding the value of cash back is simple, but valuing airline miles or points redeemable for travel requires digging a bit deeper. At Newsweek, we’ve developed a common language to talk about the value of points and miles: our valuations.

Our valuations translate points into dollars and cents in a way that reflects reality. They are based on actual data across a balance of accessible redemption options, not just the aspirational first and business class redemptions that require a PhD in miles and points to book. The upshot is that our valuations help you understand the actual value you can easily get from your miles and points.

Vault’s Viewpoint

  • Transferring Chase points and redeeming them for luxury travel is one of the best ways to maximize their value.
  • Newsweek values Chase points between 1-1.62 cents each, though transferring them can unlock additional value.
  • Chase points transfer to most programs instantly, though a few exceptions can take longer.

Value of Chase Points

Chase points are worth 1-1.62 cents each, depending on how you use them and which credit card you have. If you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve® , your points are worth 1.5 cents each when used for bookings redeemed through Chase Travel. If you have a Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card , your points are worth 1.25 cents each.

Chase points are worth 1 cent each redeemed for cash back, gift cards or merchandise. However, the best way to get more value from your points is by transferring them to one of Chase’s 14 airline and hotel loyalty partners . Regardless of which Ultimate Rewards-earning card you have, all transfers are 1:1. By transferring points to some of these programs and redeeming them for premium travel, you can get 1.62 cents or more in value per point according to our Newsweek valuation.

How to Transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards Points: Step-by-Step

Transferring your Chase points to an airline or hotel loyalty program is pretty straightforward. You’ll need to have your loyalty program membership number handy. If you don’t have one yet, you’ll need to create one. Keep in mind that transfers to newly created accounts can take a little longer than usual. I learned this fact the hard way when my sister tried transferring Chase points to a newly created United MileagePlus account. It took days for the points to land, delaying our trip plans and creating extra hassle. Be mindful of this possibility and plan accordingly.

Without further ado, here’s a step-by-step look at how the Chase transfer points process works:

Step 1: Log into your Chase Ultimate Rewards account . Under the “Travel” tab, select “Transfer points to partners.”

ap travel transfers

Step 2: Select the program you want to transfer points to. Review the (then current) terms, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select “Transfer points.”

ap travel transfers

Step 3: Provide your loyalty account number, then hit “next.”

ap travel transfers

Step 4: Enter the number of Ultimate Rewards points you want to transfer, then hit “next.” Points must be transferred in 1,000-point increments.

ap travel transfers

Step 5: Confirm transfer details and submit your request.

ap travel transfers

After following these steps, you should log in to your loyalty program account and confirm that the points have indeed been transferred. Transfers can take longer to some programs, especially if you’re transferring them for the first time or it’s a new account. Transfers to Marriott Bonvoy can take up to 39 hours, so you’ll want to have a backup plan and avoid booking those awards too close to departure.

Should You Transfer Your Chase Points?

Transferring your Chase points can be an excellent way to redeem them for maximum value. Chase has 14 transfer partners, consisting of eleven airlines and three hotel loyalty programs. Points transfer 1:1 and sometimes Chase even offers bonus points when you transfer to specific programs. Offers like these can help you stretch your Chase points even further.

One of the best ways to redeem Chase points is by transferring them to airlines and hotels for luxury travel experiences. You can get well over 2 cents in value out of each point, making transfers an exceptional way to use these rewards. However, before transferring your Chase points, you should consider the following:

Compare Loyalty Program Rates Against Chase Travel

The Chase Travel portal allows you to redeem points towards the cost of flights, hotels, activities and even cruises. If you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve, your points are worth 1.5 cents each, while the Chase Sapphire Preferred gets 1.25 cents per point. Before transferring your points to one of Chase’s 14 loyalty partners, it’s worth comparing rates on the Chase Travel portal. You might end up redeeming fewer points through Chase Travel, especially during off-peak periods.

For example, hotel rates in New York City are notoriously low in January. Looking at point rates for the first week of January 2025, I found the Dream Midtown for 21,000 Hyatt points per night. Meanwhile, the same room costs $174 on the Chase Travel portal. Since I have a Sapphire Reserve card, I can book this hotel through Chase for just 11,585 points. This example shows how booking through Chase will save almost 10,000 points over transferring points to Hyatt. So, it’s important to compare rates against Chase Travel before transferring them.

Evaluate the Best Transfer Partners

Chase has numerous airline transfer partners, some of whom are in the same alliance. Sometimes, booking with Singapore Airlines Krisflyer miles requires fewer points than using United MileagePlus for the same flight. Whether you’re looking for alliance-specific flights or not, it’s essential to compare award redemption rates among Chase airline partners before transferring your points to any one program. Doing so ensures you’re getting the best deal possible.

Consider Transfer Bonuses

This idea is on par with choosing the best transfer partners: Sometimes, Chase offers bonus points when you transfer Ultimate Rewards points to a specific loyalty program. This option can significantly reduce the cost of your award ticket, saving you both points and cash. You can check current transfer bonuses by navigating to the transfer partner page in your Ultimate Rewards account. You’ll see the transfer bonus amount and the promotion end date if a promotion is ongoing.

For example, Chase offers a 25% bonus when you transfer points to Air France and KLM’s joint Flying Blue program. This promotion ends on April 30, 2024. If you have upcoming travel plans involving Flying Blue, this transfer promotion can be a great way to redeem your Chase Ultimate Rewards points.

Be Mindful of Transfer Times

While Chase points transfer instantly to most programs, Chase provides a disclaimer stating it can take up to seven days. Some exceptions can also impact your travel plans. For example, point transfers to Marriott Bonvoy can take up to 39 hours, which can impede your ability to secure award space if the hotel and dates are popular. While points transfer almost instantly to most airlines, first-time transfers can take longer.

The first time I transferred Chase points to United , it took almost two days to clear. The award I wanted to book was gone by the time the points landed in my account, making me wish I’d just redeemed points at 1.5 cents each towards a flight booked on Chase Travel. One workaround is to put award tickets on hold whenever possible. But if you’re booking travel close to departure, it’s best to have a backup plan and perhaps reconsider transferring points in case processing takes longer than expected.

Credit from Advanced Placement (AP) Exams

If you have taken Advanced Placement (AP) tests, you may be able to earn Penn State credit.

Credit Awarded by AP Exam

In order to see if you have earned Penn State credit based on your AP test performance, please search the list of tests by subject below. The list outlines the exact course credit you will receive at Penn State for the score received on the exam. The awarded credit may apply as general credit, may count as credit for a particular course and/or requirement, or may allow you to advance to the next in a series of courses or take an honors-level course.

AP Capstone Courses

Students who participate in the AP Capstone Program may be eligible to receive Penn State credit.

More Information about Credit for AP Tests

This evaluation of the credits awarded for Advanced Placement Exams is subject to change and may be reviewed and revised periodically by Penn State faculty.

If credit is awarded, a student’s University record will carry notation of credit, but no grade will be recorded. Credit awarded will not affect a student’s grade-point average at Penn State.

Limitations on credit earned through the AP Exams are as follows:

  • The credit must be useful in a student's program of study.
  • Duplicate credit in the same subject is not awarded in any case.

Undergraduate students interested in receiving credit for AP Exams should arrange for their official grade reports to be sent directly from the College Board  to us.

General credits may be awarded for an AP Exam that covers material that is not the substantial equivalent of material covered in a specific University course. General credits may be used to fulfill degree requirements in any area; such use is not necessarily limited to General Education or elective requirements. General credits are applied to a student’s program of study in accordance with the procedures established by the college of enrollment. Information on the use of general credits or specific course credits earned by AP Exams in individual programs of study may be obtained from a student’s academic adviser or from the office of the dean of a student’s college.

Tuition Advisory

Please be advised that a student’s tuition will increase when the Penn State transcript reflects 59.1 cumulative credits. Credits earned from tests, like AP or IB exams, are considered transfer credits and are included in the cumulative credit total. If the credits you are transferring or have transferred to Penn State place you above 59.1 cumulative credits after the start of the semester, your tuition will increase immediately. You will receive a bill for the additional tuition on the first day of the following month. For more information, visit the Office of the Bursar's website

Report: Utah State Transfer Great Osobor to Visit Louisville

The former forward/center for the Aggies was the Mountain West Player of the Year and an AP All-American honorable mention this past season.

  • Author: Matthew McGavic
  • Publish date: Apr 23, 2024

In this story:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville men's basketball program is line to host yet another elite transfer.

Former Utah State forward/center Great Osobor, who was the Mountain West Player of the Year and an AP All-American honorable mention this past season, is set to visit Louisville next week according to The Field of 68's Jeff Goodman. Osobor will visit just ahead of the Kentucky Derby on May 1-3.

According to Goodman, Osobor has three other visits lined up as well. He'll head to Kentucky on Apr. 29 - May 1, then after his Louisville visit will head travel to Texas Tech on May 4-6, followed by a stop at Washington on May 7-9.

The 6-foot-8, 250-pound big man would be a massive pickup for Louisville should he commit to the Cardinals. Starting all 35 games for Aggies, he averaged 17.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.3 steals per game, while also shooting 57.7 percent from the field.

Osobor was a key component behind Utah State's success this season. The Aggies went 28-7 for their most wins since the 2018-19 season, had their highest final ranking in the AP Poll (No. 22) since 2011, and made their first trip to the second round of the NCAA Tournament since 2001 and just fifth overall.

The Bradford, England native spent the first two years of his college career at Montana State before joining head coach Danny Sprinkle at Utah State. During the 2022-23 season as a sophomore, he won Big Sky Sixth Man of the Year honors after averaging 10.1 points and 4.6 rebounds over 34 games and two starts. He put up 6.0 and 4.2 in 35 games and a start during his true freshman campaign with the Bobcats.

Not long after the end of Louisville's disastrous 2023-24 campaign, one which resulted in the firing of second-year head coach Kenny Payne, the Cardinals' roster began to flip. In fact, all 12 of Louisville's scholarship players have entered the portal, with only walk-on guard Hercy Miller in line to return.

Fortunately, new head coach Pat Kelsey is already starting to work the portal. So far, Kelsey has landed six transfers since officially being named the new head coach on Mar. 28.

Guard Reyne Smith and center James Scott are both following Kelsey from Charleston, while James Madison guard/forward Terrence Edwards Jr., Colorado guard J'Vonne Hadley and Washington guard Koren Johnson are also joining the fold. BYU center Aly Khalifa also committed, but will redshirt the 2024-25 season.

U.S. travel alert: Cruise line cancels more visits to popular Caribbean destination

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line has canceled more stops at one of its most popular destinations due to safety concerns.

RoyalCaribbeanblog.com, a website that tracks the line, reported guests booked in the summer and early fall are receiving notification their visits to Labadee, Haiti have been canceled. Labadee is a private resort operated by Royal Caribbean.

The line had previously canceled visits to Labadee through the end of May. The stop was replaced with visits to other destinations or a day at sea.

The cancellations affect several Royal Caribbean ships, including Adventure of the Seas, Independence of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas, and Symphony of the Seas, the website reported.

Royal Caribbean announced in March it was suspending calls to the resort on the northern coast of Haiti after the U.S. State Department issued an alert advising people not to visit the country. Haiti is at a Level Four travel advisory, alongside countries such as Russia, Syria and Burkina Faso, due to issues with “kidnapping, crime, civil unrest and poor healthcare infrastructure,” U.S. officials said.

Haiti is located on the island of Hispaniola with the Dominican Republic sharing the island to the east. The Dominican Republic is under a level 2 advisory with visitors urged to exercise increased caution.

Lou Groza Award winner Graham Nicholson plans to transfer to Alabama.

The former Miami of Ohio All-American, who won the award as the nation’s top placekicker last season, announced his commitment Sunday on social media.

Crimson Tide coach Kalen DeBoer is looking for a replacement for Will Reichard, the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer .

Nicholson made 27 of 28 field goals last season for the RedHawks and all but one of his 36 extra-point attempts. He’s the first Lou Groza Award winner from the Mid-American Conference.

Nicholson made a career-long 52-yarder against Bowling Green and scored 113 points last season, fourth-most in program history. The three-year starter made a Miami career record 84.5% of his field goal attempts.
