TripActions Group Acquires Atlanta Events & Corporate Travel Consultants

TripActions Group , a London, UK-based provider of travel, corporate card, and expense management solution, announced that its premium brand, Reed & Mackay, has completed the acquisition of its long-standing partner, the high-end Spanish corporate travel, meetings & events company, Atlanta Agencia de Viajes, S.A., d.b.a Atlanta Events & Corporate Travel Consultants.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Led by CEO Fred Stratford, Reed & Mackay delivers corporate travel and event solutions, helping businesses to connect across the globe. In May 2021, the company became a TripActions company and continues to operate as a standalone brand.

Atlanta Events & Corporate Travel Consultants has been part of global service leader Reed & Mackay’s international partnership for more than a decade and will now be positioned to meet the increasingly global needs of its client base. Both TripActions’ and Reed & Mackay’s clients will gain enhanced expertise and content for the region. 

Founded more than 40 years ago as a family business, Atlanta Events & Corporate Travel today has offices in Andalucia, Barcelona, and Madrid and over 70 business travel and event experts on staff.

Atlanta Events and Corporate Travel Consultants in Spain rebrands as Reed & Mackay

Acquisition of company took place in 2022

Global travel and event management company Reed & Mackay has announced the rebrand of Atlanta Events and Corporate Travel Consultants.

The longstanding Spanish business travel and events agency will now operate under the Reed & Mackay brand.

The company has announced a number of acquisitions and rebrands across Europe in recent years, most recently in the Nordics with the unveiling of the Reed & Mackay brand in Sweden in November 2023.

Reed & Mackay is now “poised to elevate corporate travel, event management, and congress services in Spain”.

This year, a study commissioned by the Spain Convention Bureau estimated a revenue total for Spain’s MICE industry of more than €12.1 billion in 2023.

The report also found that the average daily spending per MICE passenger in Spain reached €335 in 2022, surpassing the 2019 figure of €319.

Both findings indicate the “positive upwards directory” of Spain’s MICE industry, which “underscores” Reed & Mackay’s strategic decision to announce a branded presence in the market.

The acquisition of Atlanta Events and Corporate Travel Consultants by Reed & Mackay was announced in 2022 but the rebrand is only taking place now.

Reed & Mackay has office locations in Spain’s main business hubs including Madrid, Barcelona and Seville.

• ATL’s Concourses are labeled A, B, C, D, E, F, and T. Concourse F is in the International Terminal, and the Domestic Terminal is home to Concourse T.
• ATL’s Plane Train is your friend as it allows you to move between terminals efficiently and quickly.

• Choose hotels near your business meetings since Atlanta’s rush hour traffic can be horrible. Downtown, Midtown, Buckhead, Marietta, and Alpharetta are popular areas for corporate meetings.

• Rental Cars : The Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport’s Rental Car Center (RCC) is a one-stop facility that houses 12 rental car brands including those focused on business travel including Hertz, National, Avis, and Enterprise. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the RCC is just a few minutes away from ATL via the SkyTrain.

From 27-29 June, >atlanta travel & corporate events consultants held its corporative annual conference in the Southern Andalusian city.

During the conference, the firm’s board of directors presented the results of the financial year 2015/2016 and defined its annual corporate strategy, underscoring the strengths of >atlanta as a strategic trip management and corporate event consultants, and pinpointing technology as the main driving force behind the company’s transformation.

The board expressed its optimism and highlighted the company’s capacity of adaptation during the hardest years of the crisis, which according to its own indicators and external ones is now a thing of the past.
