After a two-year break, everyone’s favourite European celebrity bus ride returns for more thrills, spills and drama as ten celebs battle it out to be crowned winners. Find out everything you need to know about ITV’s Celebrity Coach Trip 2022, including the cast and when it airs.

Celebrity Coach Trip returns for another year featuring the likes of Matt Richardson, Sophie Kasaei and Linda Robson. With a whole new group of celebs including comedians, reality stars and soap actors, set to ride the bus, a thrilling European adventure awaits. So, buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Celebs will travel in pairs in a bid to keep hold of their seat on the bus in the hope of being crowned winners at the end of the trip.

A teaser we saw at MarkMeets for the first episode revealed: “It’s day one of a brand-new trip aboard tour guide Brendan Sheerin’s coach, and the celebs are starting their three weeks of fun in the sun in Braga in Portugal.

Matt Richardson

Known for co-presenting The Xtra Factor in 2013, the 30-year-old comedian has booked his place on the bus.

Leslie Joseph

Famed for her part in Birds of a Feather, she is also joined by a former co-star of the show.

You’ll recognise this star for his time of youth music programmes including T4, 4Music, MTV and Freshly Squeezed, as well as providing cover for Channel 4 of the iTunes festival and Snow Bombing.

Linda Robson

Linda Robson is known for her part in Loose Women and Birds of a Feather, where she played Tracey Stubbs.

The Islington-born actor made a number of on-screen appearances as a child and has also done radio work.

James Tindale

James is known for his time on Geordie Shore, where he will be joined by another co-star.

Celena Cherry

The first of two contestants from British R&B group Honeyz is Celena Cherry. The band got back together in 2012 in the Big Reunion on ITV.

Cherry will be joined by her bandmate Mariama, which will provide another interesting example of a preexisting relationship on the show.

Ashley McKenzie

Team GB athlete Ashley McKenzie was part of the Judo squad in the London 2012 Olympics.

She was defeated in the second round of the competition by Japanese athlete Hiroaki Hiraoka.

Sophie Kasaei

Sophie too is known for her time on Geordie Shore and it’ll be interesting to see how the two get on.

Cheeky chappy Paul Danan will also be joining the bus. He is best known for his time on Hollyoaks.

Celebrity Coach Trip returns for another year featuring the likes of Matt Richardson, Sophie Kasaei and Linda Robson.

After two years off, the bus-bound-bonanza is set for a glorious return headed by international tour guide Brendan Sheerin.

With a whole new group of celebs including comedians, reality stars and soap actors, set to ride the bus, a thrilling European adventure awaits. So, buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Who’s On Celebrity Coach Trip 2022?

Celebrity coach trip is back after two years of travel restrictions and lockdowns..

Celebrity Coach Trip has landed on our TV screens after a two-year hiatus - and fans are keen to know what the full lineup is.

The E4 show sees a group of celebrities embark upon a European bus tour - which explains why it’s been out of action for the past two years with Covid-19 travel restrictions - where they’ll be buddied up in pairs and complete a number of excursions and cultural activities along the way.

At the end of each day, the pairs have to vote for who they least enjoyed travelling with. The pair with the most votes is handed a yellow card; two yellow cards will see them given a red card and be sent home on the next flight, only to be replaced by a new celebrity pair to fill up the coach. At the end of the journey, one pair will be crowned the winner.

This year, the group of celebs set off on their three-week adventure from Braga, Portugal aboard tour guide Brendan Sheerin’s infamous coach. Episode one aired on Monday 3rd January 2022.

The Celebrity Coach Trip line-up for 2022 is as follows: 

Matt Richardson and Will Best

Presenter and stand-up comedian Matt Richardson is paired up with actor and presenter Will Best.

Matt Richardson is best known for presenting the ITV2 spin-off show The Xtra Factor with Caroline Flack in 2013.

Will Best has presented some of the UK’s biggest youth music channels, including MTV, T4, Freshly Squeezed and 4Music. He’s also presented for the BBC, Channel 4 and ITV, most notably on T4 on the Beach and Dance Dance Dance .

Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph

Loose Women panelist and actress Linda Robson is partnered up with fellow actress Lesley Joseph on this European tour. 

Lesley is known for her role in Birds of a Feather , which is where she met Linda, who also starred in the series. 

“I love travel, and travel with a friend is even better, so the chance to go on holiday with Linda was too good to miss,” said Lesley. “After months of lockdown it made it such a special experience.”

Sophie Kasaei and James Tindale

Geordie Shore stars Sophie Kasaei and James Tindale make the third celebrity pair on this year’s Celebrity Coach Trip .

Superfan Sophie said, “I have always been the biggest fan of Coach Trip from when I can remember. Forget all the other reality tv shows, my dream was to do Coach Trip ! I have been such a massive fan of Brendan, watching him with my family on weekday afternoons! The experience of travelling around Portugal with a bunch of celebs? Yes please! It was everything I could have imagined and more.” 

Celena Cherry and Mariama Goodman

The Honeyz bandmates Celena Cherry and Mariama Goodman make the next twosome. 

At their peak, British RnB group The Honeyz had five UK top 10 hits between 1998 and 2000. Now, two of its band members have taken on a different kind of challenge and are both huge fans of international tour guide Brendan.

Ashley McKenzie and Paul Danan

Last, but certainly not least, there’s Olympian Ashley McKenzie who is paired up with actor Paul Danan.

Ashley McKenzie is a judoka who competed for Team GB’s Judo Team in the London 2012 Olympics. But Celebrity Coach Trip isn’t his first stint in reality TV; Ashley made it to the final of Celebrity Big Brother in 2012.

“I’m used to travelling the world as part of the Great Britain Judo squad, but never have a chance to really experience or enjoy the places I visit, as I’m always there training or competing,” said Ashley. “ Coach Trip gave me the opportunity to see new places and meet new people, which is why I decided to take part.”

Paul Danan is best known for playing Sol Patrick in Hollyoaks. He too is no novice to reality TV, having appeared in Celebrity Love Island in 2006. Paul said he’s looking forward to bringing some “Danan TV gold back again!”

Celebrity Coach Trip 2022 started on Monday 3rd January 2022 and airs nightly on E4 at 8pm.

CELEBRITY COACH TRIP 2022 - STARTING CAST REVEALED

After nearly two years, it’s finally time for international tour guide Brendan Sheerin to hit the road again in a brand-new series of Celebrity Coach Trip.

Brendan’s coach will be bursting with a fresh batch of celebrities, all eager for an action-packed European adventure.

The new series will kick off its run on the 3rd January 2022 on E4 at 8pm with the coach touring sunny Portugal. Brendan will welcome a host of famous faces who will travel in pairs to keep their place on the coach, and at the end of the tour be crowned the winners.

The first of our celebrity travellers boarding the coach and topping up their tans are: Presenter and stand-up Matt Richardson and actor and presenter Will Best; actors Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph; Geordie Shore stars Sophie Kasaei and James Tindale, members of girl band, The Honeyz, Celena Cherry and Mariama Goodman; and Olympian Ashley McKenzie with actor Paul Danan.

The celebrity pairs will enjoy a mix of excursions and cultural outings across the series. But, as ever, at the end of each day the pairs will vote on who they least enjoy travelling with. The pair who receives the most votes will get a yellow card; two yellow cards will see them given a red card and be sent home on the next flight, only to be replaced by a new celebrity pair to fill up the coach.

Matt Richardson said: “I can’t wait to spend a holiday on a coach filled with Celebs. It’s what I normally do, so filming it just makes sense!”

Will Best said: “The chance to go on holiday with a mate, meet the icon that is Brendan, AND clear my rent arrears, all in one fell swoop? Yes please! Although if no one from Bananarama is on board I’m kicking off.”

Linda Robson said “Me and Lesley had the most exciting, wonderful time - loved every minute of our trip and am missing Brendan and all the trippers! Can’t wait for my family to see our adventure.”

Lesley Joseph said “I love travel, and travel with a friend is even better, so the chance to go on holiday with Linda was too good to miss. Not only that, we got to meet the wonderful Brendan – he is a legend. We had such good fun, I hope the viewers enjoy it too. After months of lockdown it made it such a special experience.”

Sophie Kasaei said: “I have always been the biggest fan of Coach Trip from when I can remember. Forget all the other reality tv shows my dream was to do coach trip! I have been such a massive fan of Brendan, watching him with my family on weekday afternoons! The experience of travelling around Portugal with a bunch of celebs? Yes please! It was everything I could have imagined and more.”

James Tindale said: “I love meeting new people and getting out of my comfort zone and pushing myself so Coach Trip is right up my street.”

Celena Cherry said “After being housebound for so long due to Covid, I couldn’t wait to get out there and touch and meet new people! Plus Brendan was an added bonus, always wanted to meet him!”

Mariama Goodman said “I jumped at the chance to get away for some sunshine, silliness and adventure, and of course to meet Brendan!”

Ashley McKenzie said “I’m used to travelling the world as part of the Great Britain Judo squad, but never have a chance to really experience or enjoy the places I visit, as I’m always there training or competing. Coach Trip gave me the opportunity to see new places and meet new people, which is why I decided to take part.”

Paul Danan said “I’ve watched the show for years and always loved it, and thought it would be amazing to go on a road trip after doing a road trip with Calum Best and Fran Cosgrave on our own show back in the day. I’d never been to Portugal and wanted to be part of an iconic show and bring some Danan TV gold back again!”

Celebrity Coach Trip returns Monday 3rd January at 8pm on E4 and All4, and continues weeknights for three weeks.

Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph were announced as this year's Celebrity Coach Trip winners - and fans say they 'deserved' the crown

Celebrity Coach Trip stars Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph have been crowned this year's winners.

After a two-year break from screens, the couple went on to win the iconic E4 reality show - and fans were thrilled about it.

The series has seen the likes of singer Chesney Hawkes and socialite Nancy Dell'Olio, Geordie Shore pals Sophie Kasesi and James Tindale, Olympians Adam Gemili and Andrew Pozzi and RuPaul Drag Race UK contestants Ginny Lemon and Sister Sister.

After watching from home throughout the series, viewers took to Twitter to share their opinion when the Loose Women star and Birds of a Feather actress were crowned the winners.

One person wrote: "I knew from the start Lesley and Linda would win."

"Linda and Lesley are deserving winners. I knew they would win," another penned.

However a third fan didn't think Linda and Lesley were winners, as they shared: "Nah Ginny and Sister Sister made celeb coach trip this year. Robbed."

Love Island's Paige Turley and Finn Tapp missed out on making it to the final as they were booted off the show in recent days.

Paige and Finn joined the celebrity coach in Portugal after a holiday in Cyprus and said that a major bonus of the show was being able to appear on it together.

Joining the cast part way through the season meant the couple had to find their footing when friendships had already been made on the coach.

Paige said: “We eased into the group really quickly and everybody was so nice. I think a lot of people had forgotten that you had to vote people off until the time came to it.”

The 24-year-old said there was a degree of “voting tactics”, as the original cast tried to keep each other on the coach, but Finn said this was understandable.

He said: “If you took all the votes to heart, you wouldn't enjoy the experience for what it was.

“We just tried to enjoy the days as best as possible.”

The nightly voting process on the E4 show was still “brutal”, Paige exclusively told The Mirror.

“You're having such a good time and there's people that you would never necessarily meet, so it just felt really brutal voting somebody off,” she said.

“We got lucky we had such a great coach of people, so we never had any real reasons to vote for anybody. It was like making up excuses every night.”

Finn added: “You would have preferred someone to annoy you so you had a reason to vote them out.”

Celebrity Coach Trip 4 , also known as Celebrity Coach Trip: Road to Benidorm was the fourth series of Celebrity Coach Trip in the United Kingdom. On 21 June 2018, It was announced by Channel 4 that Celebrity Coach Trip would return after a seven-year hiatus. The series was filmed in July 2018 immediately after the conclusion of Coach Trip: Road to Barcelona . [1] The series began airing on E4 on 14 January 2019 for 10 episodes and concluded on 25 January 2019 with Lisa Maffia & Mutya Buena winning the series.

^3 On Day 9, Brendan announced that all couples would vote as normal, however only one couple's vote selected at random would count, and that the couple they had voted for would receive an instant red card. Brendan opened an envelope with Lisa & Mutya's name enclosed which meant that their vote for John & Edward gave them the red card.

Coach Trip is a British reality game show originally broadcast on Channel 4 from 7 March 2005 to 30 June 2006. The programme returned after a three-year break, from 25 May 2009 to 9 March 2012. In early 2013, the show went into hiatus again and was replaced by 2 new shows, Brendan's Magical Mystery Tour and Brendan's Love Cruise . However, in September 2013, Channel 4 announced that they had renewed Coach Trip for another series in 2014 which has now aired. On 9 April 2014, a further four series were announced following the success of the ninth series in early 2014.

Coach Trip 3 was the third series of Coach Trip in the United Kingdom, that was filmed between September and October 2008 and began showing in May 2009. The show's format after a break of 3 years remained unchanged from the previous series but the titles were new along with the timeslot: seven couples travelling around Europe on a coach like series 1 for 30 days attempting vote off the least popular couples with visits to Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg for the first time. Tour guide Brendan Sheerin and coach driver Paul Donald both returned for this series, which aired on Channel 4 with a similar end to series 2. David Quantick was the narrator and MT04 MTT was the registration number plate for the first and only time.

Coach Trip 4 was the fourth series of Coach Trip in the United Kingdom which that was filmed between 7 September and 27 October 2009, and began airing on Monday 15 February 2010. The length of this series was longer than the previous or future instalments, increased from 30 to 50 days for a tour centred on European, Mediterranean, North African and West Asian countries on a coach like series 1, 2 and 3 attempting to vote off the least popular couples. Tour guide Brendan Sheerin, coach driver Paul Donald and narrator David Quantick all returned for this series, which aired on Channel 4. MT09 MTT was the registration number plate.

Coach Trip 1 was the first series of Coach Trip that was filmed from April to June 2004 and aired from 7 March to 19 April 2005. The trip went through several European countries. Chris Groombridge was the driver for the only time, Brendan Sheerin was the tour guide, Andy Love was narrator and the registration was T100 MTT.

Coach Trip 2 was the second series of Coach Trip that was filmed from May to July 2005 and aired from 22 May to 30 June 2006. This year the trip was centred on Mediterranean countries. Brendan returned as the tour guide, the narrator was once again Andy Love and the registration number plate once again was T100 MTT. Paul Donald was the driver for the first time.

Coach Trip 5 was the fifth series of Coach Trip in the United Kingdom which was filmed from May until June 2010 and aired from 30 August to 8 October 2010. The show's format changed slightly from previous series and with weekends included, from Day 2 of that the couple who received a yellow card the previous day would be immune from the following vote the next day. The series involves seven couples traveling on a one-month tour centering on Northern European countries for the first time, with visits to Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Latvia and Estonia. Tour guide Brendan Sheerin, coach driver Paul Donald and the MT09 MTT registration all returned for this series, which airs on Channel 4. Dave Vitty was the narrator for the first time. This was the first series to feature couples that lasted for the entire trip.

Celebrity Coach Trip 1 was the first series of Celebrity Coach Trip which was filmed from 6 to 20 September 2010 and began airing on 8 November 2010. The series featured a variety of celebrity couples on a 10-day tour, the couples get to vote off the other couples that they do not get along with. On the last day of the coach trip the remaining couples vote for the couple that they want to win the £1000 prize for charity. The first day of the coach trip started in Prague and the last day of the trip ended in Venice. Tour guide Brendan Sheerin, narrator Dave Vitty, coach driver Paul Donald and the MT09 MTT registration all returned for this series, which aired on Channel 4.

Coach Trip 6 was the sixth series of Coach Trip in the United Kingdom. It was filmed from July until August 2010 and aired from 14 February to 25 March 2011. The voting system rules reverted to those of earlier series. The length of this series was the same as the previous non-celebrity series but with weekends excluded. The tour visited Mediterranean countries like series 2 but with visits to Switzerland added for a month. Tour guide Brendan Sheerin, coach driver Paul Donald, narrator Dave Vitty and the coach with registration number MT09 MTT all returned for this series, which was aired on Channel 4 with a similar start to series 2 and a similar end to series 4.

Celebrity Coach Trip 6 is the sixth series of Celebrity Coach Trip in the United Kingdom and the last series before the COVID-19 pandemic. The series began airing on E4 on 6 January 2020 for 15 episodes and concluded on 24 January 2020. The series began on Day 1 in Saint-Tropez and ended on Day 15 in Barcelona.

Coach Trip 7 was the seventh series of Coach Trip in the United Kingdom. It was filmed from May until June 2011 and aired from 29 August to 7 October 2011. The length of this series was the same as the previous non-celebrity series but with weekends excluded. The tour began in the UK, before moving to France, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic plus for the first time ever Poland and Slovakia. Production company 12 Yard confirmed that the series is a second "Road to..." version of Coach Trip . The series began airing on E4 on 16 January 2017 for 30 episodes concluding on 24 February 2017.

Coach Trip 16 , also known as Coach Trip: Road to Zante is the sixteenth series of Coach Trip in the United Kingdom. The series was confirmed by E4 on 14 December 2016. Filming took place between 14 May 2017 and 12 June 2017. The series consists of 40 episodes, an increase of previous series, and follow the "Road to..." format. The series began airing on E4 on 24 July 2017 for 40 episodes and concluded on 15 September 2017.

Coach Trip 17 , also known as Coach Trip: Road to Tenerife is the seventeenth series of Coach Trip in the United Kingdom. The series was confirmed by E4 during the last series. Filming took place between 1 September and 22 October 2017. The series once again consists of 40 episodes, the same as the previous series, and follow the "Road to..." format. The series aired on E4 from 8 January to 2 March 2018 for 40 episodes. The first seven couples were confirmed on 29 December 2017.

Coach Trip 18 , also known as Coach Trip: Road to Barcelona is the eighteenth series of Coach Trip in the United Kingdom. The series was confirmed by E4 in 2018 with filming taking place between 6 May 2018 and 8 July 2018, before the filming started on Celebrity Coach Trip: Road to Benidorm . The series aired for 30 episodes from 28 January 2019 to 8 March 2019.

Celebrity Coach Trip 5 is the fifth series of Celebrity Coach Trip in the United Kingdom. The series began airing on E4 on 7 October 2019 for 10 episodes and concluded on 18 October 2019. Francis Boulle & Sarah Keyworth won the series.

Celebrity Ghost Trip is the first and only Halloween-themed version of Celebrity Coach Trip . It was announced that Celebrity Coach Trip would return after a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however this series was shorter than usual and instead of touring around Europe, the tourists visited spooky locations in the United Kingdom. Filming began in September 2021. The series began airing on E4 on 24 October 2021 for 5 episodes and ran for an hour instead of the usual 30 minutes. The series concluded on 28 October 2021 and was won by Kerry Katona and her daughter Lilly-Sue McFadden.

The Strictly Come Dancing duo are no strangers to a reality TV appearance away from the ballroom, with Ola and James enjoying stints in the I'm a Celebrity jungle and the Celebrity Big Brother house respectively, as well as appearing together on Your Face Or Mine .

What can we expect? More outspoken opinions from Mr Jordan and, naturally, more of his wife putting him in his place. Brilliant.

With her Geordie Shore days long behind her, Charlotte is all loved-up with new boyfriend Josh (who first appeared in Love Island 2015 ) after going public with him on her very own hit MTV series The Charlotte Show.

Charlotte is as close to reality TV royalty as you're going to get, but we very much doubt she'll be getting the VIP treatment on the coach so it will be interesting to see how they both fare.

The very first celebrity version of Coach Trip hit our screens in 2010, with guests including EastEnders ' Ricky Groves and Alexander Ferns (AKA Garry and Trevor), the Cheeky Girls, Bianca Gascoigne and Big Brother 's Imogen Thomas, and the Chuckle Brothers – who, it's fair to say, totally stole the show and went on to win the series.

The celeb run continued for two more seasons, airing in 2011(with winners Derek Martin, best known for playing Charlie Slater in EastEnders , and fellow soap star John Altman, also known as "Nasty" Nick Cotton) and 2012 (seeing Gary Cockerill and Phil Turner crowned).

As every day comes to an end, each pair will vote for who they want to see booted off the vehicle; basically naming who they can't stand the thought of holidaying with for a moment longer.

The duo that receive the most votes will be handed a yellow card; much like the World Cup, two yellow cards will result in a red card which, ultimately, gets them sent packing.

There'll be plenty of other well-known faces – yet to be revealed – waiting to nab a spot on that famous coach for the remainder of the trip.

It wouldn't be Coach Trip without Brendan Sheerin. Having been with the show since it began on Channel 4 in 2005, the travel expert has become something of a TV icon in his own right.

Naturally, he'll be making a return for the new celebrity series on E4. Speaking of his approach to his new guests, he said: "These celebs think they're used to the red carpet life, but they won't get any special treatment on my coach. I'm sure they'll be schmoozing away, but it won't be long until I start dishing out the red cards."
