“ Very interesting Cubism & Art Nouveau Walking tour with excellent guide ”

The tour was very interesting. Our guide was very well prepared and did not get tired of our multiple questions. We learned a lot about Czech Cubism and Art Nouveau overall - not just architecture, as well as some history. Will definitely recommend this to friends.

Ultimate Guide: the Best Prague Tours, According to a Local

  • June 14, 2023
  • 8 minute read

How many times have you visited a new city, excited to learn more about the history and the culture…only to take an underwhelming tour? Prague may be one of the most historically dense cities in Europe – there’s just SO much to see in Prague . From Prague Castle to Charles Bridge and beyond, there is endless history, culture and hidden gems to unpack across this central European city. No matter the length of your stay, booking a Prague tour might be the best option to maximize time AND learn about the city. As a local, I can assure you the best way to see Prague is by taking tours in Prague.

Prague's Mala Strana neighborhood, one of the best spots to do Prague tours.

But how do you pick a great tour? I’m here to help. As a Czech-American living in Czech Republic , I’ve seen (and done) my fair share of mediocre or just straight-up terrible tours in Prague. Not all Prague tours are created equal, after all. So how do you pick the best tours in Prague for your needs? I’m breaking down all the best Prague tours according to interest – so whether you’re a foodie looking for the best up-and-coming spots or a devout walking tour fan, I’ve got something for everyone on my list. Let’s dive into the ultimate Prague tours guide!

The Best Prague Tours

Prague will always be one of my favorite places to visit in Europe – and that’s because the city is packed with endless history. Booking tours in Prague can be a great way to unpack and explore the city beyond the guidebooks. Here’s my ultimate list of the best Prague tours to make your trip as special and unforgettable as possible! Let’s dive in.

Prague's Old Town neighborhood, one of the best spots to do Prague tours.

Pro tip : Not sure what to pack for your Prague trip? Check out  my full packing guide for Prague and Czech Republic here . It’s filled with useful tips about weather, different region, a complete checklist for every season, and more!

The best Prague tours to see it ALL

So you only have one day and want to see all the best Prague highlights ? Easy peasy, friend. I got you covered. When you’re booking a Prague tour to see highlights, you should look for a tour that combines Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, Prague Castle and other major highlights.

If you’re looking for Prague tours that covers all the Prague highlights , including Charles Bridge, I recommend this walking tour — which includes a typical Czech lunch and hour-long boat cruise, too! There’s no way to see every single thing in Prague, but this tour comes pretty close to including all the most important highlights. There’s no better way to visit the best places to visit in Prague in one tour.

The best Prague food tour

Prague's Foodie Tour, one of Prague's best tours

I’m going to be honest with you: I only recommend one Prague food tour. That’s right. Just the one.

Why? I’m a foodie at heart, and I take my food recommendations seriously (see: my favorite Prague restaurants here and my honest-to-God list of the best bakeries in Prague here). I would never recommend just any Prague tour, and I certainly would never recommend anything other than the best Prague food tour on the market.

If you’re looking for THE best food tour in Prague, this is the one you need to book . The Prague Foodie Tour is run by the best food bloggers in Prague. Each day, they take a small group of people to some of Prague’s best restaurants – all within a one-mile span. You’ll taste some of Prague’s best food, of course, but you’ll also learn a lot about Czech food and the context behind the cuisine. The food is delicious, the beer is amazing, and you’ll have the best time ever. Book the Prague food tour here .

The best free walking tour in Prague

Prague Free Walking Tour

Walking tours in Prague are the best way to meet new friends and see the city at the same time. One of my friends in Prague, a lifelong local, does free walking tours with Free Walking Tour Prague . These are, hands down, the best free walking tours in Prague.

Free Walking Tour Prague is a small, local company based in Prague. All the professional guides are either local Czechs passionate about Prague history or longtime Prague residents who speak Czech. The company has a variety of tours covering different sights across Prague; they operate daily in English and Spanish. Book your tour here .

The best (paid) walking tour Prague

Prague's Old Town neighborhood, one of the best spots to do Prague tours.

Walking is, hands down, my favorite way to explore Prague. I’m going to break down two of my favorite walking tours in Prague. The first is much shorter, and the second is a little longer for those visitors looking for Prague tours that cover it all.

Let’s start with the first option: this three Euro tip-based tour. Yes, you heard me right. To join this tour, it costs just THREE Euros. It doesn’t get much better value than that. The tour is run by the good people behind Real Prague Guides – locals who want to help you explore Prague and make your stay memorable.

With this tour, you’ll spend roughly three hours exploring Old Town, the Jewish Quarter and Charles Bridge, among other top sights. Group sizes range from 10 to 30 people, depending on the day. At the end of the tour, if you’re happy, you can leave a tip for your guide.

Looking for a longer tour option? The best paid walking tour of Prague lasts six hours – but includes many of Prague’s top sights. This tour may be a little longer, but it includes lunch and a one-hour boat cruise on the Vltava. All in all, it’s an excellent value to see Prague’s best highlights. Book my favorite paid walking tour here .

The best bus tours in Prague

I’m going to be completely honest with you: don’t book a bus tour. Bus tours in Prague are perhaps the worst way to see Prague. Most of Prague’s historic center isn’t built for big buses or hop-on-and-off buses. In fact, these buses can’t really access many of Prague’s sights. Instead of booking bus tours in Prague, I’d highly recommend opting for public transit instead – or even booking a group walking tour through Prague instead.

The best Prague boat tours

Prague's Old Town neighborhood, one of the best spots to do Prague tours.

Boat cruises may seem touristy, but in my humble opinion, boat tours are a wonderful way to see Prague in a whole new light. The best Prague boat tours cruise down the river at sunset, offering drinks, snacks (or even full meals!) and plenty of outdoor space to snap as many photos and videos as you want.

Since moving to the Czech Republic, I’ve done multiple boat tours along the Vltava River. This is the boat tour we did for our Valentine’s Day , and it was honestly perfect (and the food wasn’t bad either!). Boat tours like this one are perfect for summer visits. Trust me: with the breeze blowing through your hair and the sun setting over Prague Castle…You’ll fall even more in love with Prague.

The best private tours in Prague

Prague's Old Town neighborhood, one of the best spots to do Prague tours.

Sometimes, crowds can be overwhelming. I get it, I feel the same way. That’s why I always recommend a private tour option for people looking for Prague tours. Private tours offer much more flexibility, give you the opportunity to ask more questions and help you see Prague at your own pace.

If you’re seeking out a shorter version of the best private tours in Prague, check out this 3-hour tour of Prague . You can opt for a walking version or a private car, depending on your preferences and mobility. The tour includes all the best Prague highlights, from Prague Castle and St Vitus Cathedral to the Jewish Quarter, Old Town and Charles Bridge. However, you have the option to customize the tour with your guide in advance to ensure you see what you want to see.

For visitors looking to spend a little more time in Prague, I always recommend this full-day private tour of Prague . It’s an excellent value for what you get! You’ll see Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and Old Town Square, of course, but you’ll also visit Strahov Monastery, Petrin Tower, St Nicholas’ Cathedral as well as the Lennon Wall. It’s AMAZING value for the price – you’re truly seeing the best of Prague. You can customize the tour with your guide in advance, as well, to ensure you see exactly what you want.

Likewise, you can opt for a walking version – or a private car, depending on your preference. The price includes transport and hotel pick up.

The best tours in Prague to get OUT of the city

The view from State Castle Cesky Krumlov, considered one of the most beautiful castles in Czech Republic

If you’re in Prague for more than a couple days, I always recommend visitors spend some time outside of Prague. Don’t get me wrong: I love Prague. But there’s so much beauty and wonder to explore across the Czech Republic. In fact, many of the best trips can be done as day trips .

Many people opt to visit one of Czech Republic’s most beautiful castles because so many of them lie nestled in the countryside around Prague.

You can, of course, plan one of these trips yourself. A lot of the Prague day trips below are accessible by rental car, train or bus – but the routes may not always be super direct.

If you’re looking for a more seamless experience, I personally recommend booking a tour. Why? Well, many of the historical guided tours at castles (especially the smaller ones!) are not in English — or they operate English tours at a reduced schedule.

Plus, guided tours help coordinate transport and fees to streamline a stress-free experience.

If you’re looking to explore the Czech Republic, these are the Prague tours I recommend for first-time visitors and frequent visitors alike….

  • Bohemian Switzerland National Park , an otherwise difficult hiking area to access without a car. If you love nature, you cannot miss this absolutely BREATHTAKING scenery. This tour is a fantastic option because you can tailor your trip to exactly what you want to see. Book early , as it often sells out!
  • Cesky Krumlov , also known as one of the most magical cities in Czech Republic .
  • Konopiste Castle , the last home of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, the heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne (you may know him from your history books — his assassination in Sarajevo triggered World War I). I personally love this tour because Lucy is really passionate about her work. You spend a lot of time exploring the castle, too.
  • Hluboka Castle and Cervena Lhota Castle , two of my favorite castles in the south of Czech Republic (and two of the most BEAUTIFUL castles, hands down). This tour combines the two , which is a great option for anyone who doesn’t want to rent a car and drive through windy roads.
  • Terezin : Terezin was a concentration camp north of Prague during World War II. This spot was once a resort town for Czech nobility. During the war, more than 150,000 Jews were sent to Terezin before being sent to their deaths at Treblinka and Auschwitz extermination camps in occupied Poland, as well as to smaller camps elsewhere. It’s a difficult place to visit, but if you’re interested in a darker side of Czech Republic’s history, Terezin can be a painful reminder to never repeat the mistakes of our past. This bus tour is the best way to visit from Prague. The guide is very knowledgeable and doesn’t rush you through the site.

PRAGUE FACTS

Pope francis elected, nelson mandela died, prague got flooded and explore prague was founded, we showed our beautiful city to more than 5000 people since 2013 (including adults, students, seniors, kids and dogs), is a year when you should meet some of our wonderful tour guides from explore prague team 🙂, testimonials.

Great Tour and better Tour Guide. Mike was excellent and knowledgeable in the two different tours he did for us. The best part about Mike is he is personal and cares about your needs more than taking you on a tour to make money. We will use him again in the future.

C.K. Bentley  –   https://www.exploreprague.cz

The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable, with a real enthusiasm for the subject which was very specialist. He brought the tour alive with old photos and articles on his tablet. A walking tour such as this is a great way to see some of the hidden aspects of Prague, highly recommended!

Michael was our tour guide and he did a great job. A wonderful overview of Prague – he was very knowledgeable about Prague history and we really enjoyed walking the city with him. He picked a very local Czech coffee shop for a break – it was an excellent choice. Would highly recommend.

Laura H  –   http://www.likealocalguide.com/prague/best-of-prague-sightseeing-tour-with-a-local-guide

This was my first tour in Prague but I’m already sure it will be one of the best! My friend and I booked the Mysterious Prague tour during a kind off of season so we had the tour to ourselves. Michal is a fantastic tourguide, very knowledgeable about the city and with great English and storytelling abilities 🙂 he also went above and beyond in helping us find more interesting things to do in the city during the rest of our visit. I’d highly recommend this tour for anyone that loves hearing interesting stories and tour the city when it’s less busy but still beautiful (maybe even moreso then during the daytime)

Shirel Gar  –  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Explorepraguecz/509302265759742?sk=reviews

We found Michael online before we arrived in Prague and arrange a private tour for the morning of our first day in Prague. Michael braved the cold weather to share his knowledge about Prague – he was both entertaining and helpful. At the end of the tour, he was very helpful in pointing out some other useful sights that some tourists may miss. I’d strongly recommend Michael for anyone visiting Prague. A tour with him is a great way to understand more information about the key sights, and to help you find your way around town.

Tim C  –  http://www.tripadvisor.cz/Attraction_Review-g274707-d7606193-Reviews-Explore_Prague-Prague_Bohemia.html

During our honeymoon in Prague my wife and I had the pleasure of getting a private tour with Michal three times. This was lucky happenstance simply because no one else signed up for the group tours. Michal was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed talking with him throughout the afternoons. Our third tour was actually an invite by him to see a small museum his friend is putting together in the basement of a hotel that the Nazis took over during their occupation and used to spy on guests. We would highly recommend anyone else visiting Prague to consider contacting Michal for a tour.

There's plenty to see and do in Prague, a guided tour will help you make the most of your trip.

Whether you opt to explore Prague on foot, by bike or by boat, a guided tour will help you make the most of your time in Czechia's capital. Many tours concentrate on Prague's top attractions like the historic center of Prague – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – while others venture farther afield or focus on local food or art. To help you pick which one suits your itinerary best, U.S. News consulted experts and travelers to find the top tours in Prague.

Note: Some tour providers on this list may be running more limited operations due to COVID-19 or may impose testing or vaccine requirements. Check with your tour operator about availability before you book.

Taste of Prague – Prague Foodie Tour

The Prague Foodie Tour takes groups of up to 10 people to five eateries for samples of the city's traditional and modern cuisine. The aim of the outing is to take visitors beyond the usual attractions to places locals frequent. Tour-takers award high marks to the guides for their insights into Czech culinary arts and culture. Reviewers also applaud the quality and quantity of the food and drinks. The walks typically last about four hours and cover less than a mile.

Start times vary, but generally tours depart between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tours cost 2,800 korunas (or about $121) per person, and that includes food as well as samples of local beer, wine and spirits. Hungry for more? Taste of Prague also offers a dinner and cocktail tour.

Mijn Praag Tours – Bike Tour Prague

In addition to visiting well-known sights like Wenceslas Square , the Jewish Quarter , the John Lennon Wall and Old Town Square , this relaxed three-hour ride may include a stop for a drink or an unplanned photo opportunity. Along the way, guides share the city's history and show tourists lesser-known spots. Tour leaders are regarded as knowledgeable and adept, according to reviewers. Many refer to the bike tour as the highlight of their Prague visit.

Bike excursions depart daily at 10:30 a.m. Tickets, which include use of a bicycle, start at 30 euros (about $32) per person. Interested in exploring more of the "hidden" side of Prague? The company offers a bike tour that highlights the lesser-known areas of the city, along with a variety of themed walking tours.

Prague Food Tour – Delicious Food Tour

This tour celebrates traditional Czech cuisine. The half-day outing covers nearly 2 miles and features visits to several Old Town eateries for 10 food samples and beverage pairings (both alcoholic and nonalcoholic). Reviewers rave about the food samples and the entertaining and informative guides who are Prague locals.

Prague Food Tour offers this on-the-go feast several times each day; tours last up to five hours. Tours, which are capped at 10 participants, cost about 2,800 korunas (or roughly $121) per person. The company also offers tours that focus on Prague's famous beer, as well as its contemporary food scene outside the city center.

Prague City Adventures – Prague Beer and Tapas Tour

The Prague Beer and Tapas Tour shines a spotlight on the city's local ales and lagers with stops at a microbrewery and three locally owned beer halls for drinks and snack pairings. You could sample lagers, India pale ales, pickled cheese and sausage. Patrons highly praise the food and beverages and appreciate the many helpful tips guides dole out along the way.

Tours, which last about three hours, begin and end in the shadow of the statue of Saint Wenceslas in Wenceslas Square. Excursions are offered every day beginning at 5 p.m. Tickets, which start at 75 euros (about $80), cover the guided tour as well as four beers, some tapas, and tram and metro rides between destinations. Tourgoers must be at least 18 years old. Prague City Adventures runs additional outings, including an evening food tour in Old Town.

SANDEMANs New Europe – Free Tour of Prague

Let a local show you some of Prague top attractions, including its famous astronomical clock in the Old Town Square, the Church of Our Lady before Týn and the Rudolfinum. Along the way, guides offer details about key moments in the city's history, and patrons appreciate the guides' in-depth knowledge and insights.

Three-hour tours take place twice daily starting at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. No fee is charged for this tour, though gratuities are appreciated. SANDEMANs New Europe offers a fee-based tour of Prague Castle , among other tours.

Prague Boats – Cruises to Devil's Channel

According to travelers, gliding along the Vltava River in a boat is a convenient and comfortable way to view must-see sights like Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge . You'll also see plenty of beautiful homes and cruise along Devil's Channel, which contained water mills. As an added bonus, tour-takers describe the commentary provided on this tour as informative. However, other patrons complain of lackluster customer service.

Prague Boats' 50-minute cruises depart from pier No. 3 at the Čech Bridge Dock daily year-round at multiple times. Tickets start at 16 euros (approximately $17) for adults and 10 euros (about $11) for children. Prague Boats offers a number of other river cruises, including dinner cruises.

Free Walking Tour Prague – Prague Old Town

Tour-takers generally find the Prague Old Town tour very entertaining and informative. Along the 2 1/2-hour walk, you'll traverse the city's narrow streets, starting at the Powder Gate at Republic Square (Námestí Republiky ) and ending at the Rudolfinum (where the Czech Philharmonic now performs), as a guide shares insights regarding the architecture and history of Prague's Old Town.

As its name states, Free Walking Tours Prague charges nothing for this outing, though patrons are encouraged to pay what they think the tour is worth at its conclusion. Tours are offered daily starting at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Though the tours are free, reservations are required. The company also runs a free Prague Castle and Charles Bridge walking tour, among others.

Best Prague Tours

The astronomical clock is a top sight in Prague and several tours will teach you how to read it.

SCROOSER Tour – Grand City Tour

Spend two hours sightseeing atop a Scrooser: a wide-tire electric scooter. You'll cruise by the Charles Bridge, Stahov Monastery, Prague Castle and several other sites. You'll also stop at the John Lennon Wall so you can sign it (the company provides markers) and get a Polaroid photo to remember your outing. Travelers regularly praise the tour not only for its wonderful guides, but also as a fun way to see the city. Tour-takers must be at least 15 years old to ride. No driver's license is required.

Tours ride daily at 10 a.m. and 1 and 4 p.m.; a 6 p.m. tour may also be available. Tickets cost approximately 65 euros (about $70) per person. SCROOSER also runs a 90-minute Viewpoints and Castle Tour.

Fun in Prague – The Best of Prague with Lunch and River Cruise

Travelers generally agree this tour from Fun in Prague lives up to the company's name. They praise the informative guides for their storytelling and appreciate the tour's pace. During the six-hour outing, you'll explore Prague on foot and via its public transportation as guides share historic facts. After your Czech lunch, you'll embark on a river cruise where you'll enjoy complimentary refreshments as you admire the sights.

Tours operate daily at 10 a.m. Tickets start at 58 euros (around $62) for adults, with discounts for teens and children. Tickets include all food and drink, as well as tickets for the tram and boat. Fun in Prague also hosts a variety of beer tours.

Uniline Tours – Karlštejn Castle and Koněprusy Caves

After you've explored Prague's history and culture, travel to other Czech sites on this daytrip. The nine-hour tour departs from Prague and first visits Koněprusy Caves, the largest cave system in the area where Celtics once worshipped. After lunch, you'll visit Karlštejn Castle where Bohemian royalty once lived and today holds a large collection of artifacts and art. Travelers rave about their tour guides and the sights.

Trips leave at 8 a.m. Tuesday to Sunday. Fees start at 249 euros (about $265) for adults. Uniline also runs a daytrip to Kutna Hora.

TOUR DESCRIPTION

Prague is a city rich in literature and history, one whose many stories are nestled together side by side. Located directly in the centre of Europe, Prague has been an intersection for so many years of the various competing forces of history, which have given the city the unique character we see today.

The city’s strange mix of beauty and brutality has served as inspiration for creative individuals, and Prague now boasts a rich literary and artistic heritage, which reflects the complex history of this tragic yet lyrical space.

Czechia Unesco Tour – 7 Unesco Sites in 6 Days, Max 6 People Per Tour

My sister and I just completed the UNESCO tour with Marek. The tour exceeded my expectations. Marek ‘s English was very good and he was very good about checking with us to see if we needed anything or wished to stop at a shop. The sites were all interesting, I especially enjoyed St Barbera’s Basilica and our stops in Telc and Trebic. The cost seemed reasonable considering all we did. There is a lot of walking, so pack comfortable shoes! I highly recommend the tour.

Beloved Europe

The tour was fun and interesting even though with heavy rain in Prague. Our tour guide Guillermo/William was awesome, very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Our tour bus driver Parvel was a very good driver, very kind and helpful with our luggage. The hotels are also very nice, clean and the staff are very accommodating.I really enjoyed this tour. I highly recommend this tour and highly recommend Europamundo and Tour Radar for your future tours.

Amsterdam, Berlin and Prague

The tour was good. The hotels were great and the breakfasts were plentiful. The bus driver was very safe and helpful with bags. The guides were of varying satisfaction. I was disappointed that the itinerary stated key sights we would visit but we didn’t actually go inside and free time didn’t allow for all the visits I wanted to do and we didn’t see everything on the itinerary. It was a good taster trip. I see much more on my own.

Thank you, Czechia Tours for your Moravian UNESCO heritage sites - 3 days tour. The highlight of my time in Czechia. Marek was a fabulous tour guide, Not only for his insights into the area's geography, cultural and social histories. But also sharing his passion for local food and wine. I came way feeling I really had been immersed in the Moravian countryside. Marek's relaxed manner, sense of humour and genuine interest in his clients made for a thoroughly enjoyable three day excursion. Highly recommended.

Enchanting Prague

Value was spot on for the quality and location of hotel Lunik. The breakfast buffet was great and so was the staff who services it, we tipped them every morning as it seems most did not. The river cruise was pretty but food was just ok but it was hot and beer was reasonable. We did not go on the river cruise for the food but for the experience! Our bus and walking tour was also very informative and varied and our guide very knowledgeable and pleasant, she even extended it another hour because of all the questions she was asked. We tipped hr as well as others did not and she certainly deserved it. Having the rest of our stay in Prague to ourselves really made the trip our own and were very happy that the tour companies involved arranged transportation to the airport even after our 3 day extension to stay longer. My wife and I were very satisfied with the whole experience and would recommend it to others!

Had a fantastic weekend in Prague with Euroadventures. Everything was planned out perfectly with a nice mix of included and guided activities and also a good amount of free time & optional activities offered (that you could book). We were a group of friends and upgraded to a nice private hotel room just a few minutes by foot from Wenceslas square. Any questions we had were promptly answered as they're always available by WhatsApp or email.. Would definitely book with them again and definitely recommend Euroadventures if you're looking for a fun organized trip that is great value for the money.

The Best of Eastern Europe Tour

The Best of Eastern Europe

Excellent trip covering many capitals and other cities in Central and Eastern Europe. There is a lot of free time included in the itinerary to explore on your own, so be prepared to make your own daily plans and venture out on your own or with fellow travelers. Almost every city has free (tips only) quality guides. Accommodations are all in centrally-located medium-level hotels. Some are better than others. As is common in Europe, around half of the hotels did not have air conditioning, only fans. Availability and quality of hotels differs by regions, and I found these hotels to be better than in tours run by G Adventures in other regions of the world. They are lower in quality to hotels in US and Canada. Don't expect a Ritz Carleton, and you won't be disappointed. Breakfasts are included, and they were fantastic everywhere - all-you-can-eat, with large assortment and excellent quality. All other meals are on your own, although the guide made arrangements to eat as a group on many nights (which is optional). Food is still relatively inexpensive in former Soviet bloc countries, not so in Berlin and Vienna. Transportation was excellent, and varied from private buses, minivans and taxis to public trains, metro, buses and trams. Be prepared to carry/roll your luggage for close to 1 km (about half a mile). In a few cities, larger buses and minivans are not allowed into historic centers of town, where hotels are located, during the day, so we had to walk. One of most memorable experiences for many travelers on our tour was a visit to Auschwitz concentration camp, which was included in the itinerary.

What people love about Prague Tours

I had a great time on the tour. We visited very beautiful places and towns and got lots of information on the history and about Czech Republic today. The tour is both: exciting and relaxing. Marek is an excellent guide.
From the moment we set foot in Prague, Dasha's infectious enthusiasm set the tone for the entire adventure. Her deep knowledge of Bohemian history and culture was evident as she effortlessly guided us through the cobbled streets, unraveling the secrets of Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, and the Old Town Square. Dasha's engaging storytelling added an extra layer of richness to every landmark, making the city come alive with centuries of tales. As we ventured beyond Prague into the heart of Bohemia, John's expert driving skills ensured a smooth and comfortable journey. His professionalism and friendly demeanor made each road trip enjoyable, whether winding through picturesque landscapes or navigating charming villages. John's insights into the local scenery and customs enhanced our appreciation for the Bohemian countryside. The itinerary was thoughtfully crafted, offering a perfect balance of cultural exploration and leisure. Highlights included visits to Cesky Krumlov, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that felt like stepping into a fairy tale, and Karlovy Vary, with its healing thermal springs and elegant architecture. Dasha's ability to tailor the experience to the group's interests ensured that every day was filled with excitement and discovery. The accommodations selected for our stay were not only comfortable but also reflected the unique charm of each location. Whether it was a boutique hotel in Prague or a cozy inn in a Bohemian village, every place contributed to the overall magic of the tour. What truly set this tour apart was the seamless coordination between Dasha and John. Their teamwork ensured that our group felt like a close-knit community, sharing laughter and creating memories. The camaraderie extended beyond the scheduled activities, fostering a warm and inclusive atmosphere that added an extra layer of joy to the journey. In conclusion, the Seven Days Tour in Bohemia exceeded all expectations, offering a perfect blend of cultural immersion, scenic beauty, and genuine fun. Dasha and John's passion for their craft, coupled with their warm personalities, transformed a great tour into an unforgettable adventure. If you're seeking a travel experience that combines history, beauty, and laughter, look no further than this Bohemian gem of a tour. Highly recommended!

Another attendee posted video of Taylor smiling and laughing while Travis caught a football that Patrick threw from the stage.

Travis also got up on stage and surprised guests by announcing that his “significant other” was adding some tickets to her Eras Tou r concerts as part of the live auction.

“Alright, alright, alright, I think I was just talking to my significant other, and we might have one other alternate item that wasn’t on the docket. Um, has anybody heard of the Eras Tour ?” he teased. “Does that fire anybody up right now?!” he screamed while the attendees shouted.

Concerns grow as builder ‘desperate’ for apartments at toxic site in nyc neighborhood.

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

Greenpoint’s skyline has been growing taller for years — but some residents worry that a developer is cutting corners in their scramble for more apartments at a toxic, long-shuttered industrial site.

The former home of NuHart Plastic Manufacturing on Dupont Street has drawn sharp scrutiny after the builder and state environmental regulators abandoned plans to remove the contaminated soil because it’s sunk too deep.

“The developers are desperate to finish the remediation and get the site built,” Stephen Chesler, a Greenpoint resident who serves as the environmental protection committee chair for Brooklyn Community Board 1, told The Post.

“It makes everyone very nervous that the developer is going at such a breakneck speed to decontaminate the site,” he continued, pointing out that a playground and a senior center sit across the street.

The state Superfund site — perched in north Brooklyn near the confluence of the East River and Newtown Creek — will soon be home to a gleaming, eight-story apartment complex dubbed “NuHart West,” a company spokesperson said.

The development will include 471 rental units — with 143 designated for affordable housing, the spokesperson said.

NuHart Plastic Manufacturing on Dupont Street

But that won’t happen until the developer mixes the toxic soil beneat with concrete to create blocks that will stay buried about 25 feet below the building’s foundation, according to Gothamist .

The news didn’t sit well with some Greenpointers, who worried that leaving chemicals from the plant’s heyday of manufacturing plastic and vinyl products could be dangerous to everyone in the neighborhood.

“There are known carcinogens there, which could do serious damage and can be lethal in high doses,” Chesler said. “We’re worried the concrete could be compromised, and contaminated water could seep out.”

The work site, boarded off.

That contaminated water is rife with chemical phthalates, which make plastic more durable and are used in tons of household products like vinyl flooring, plastic packaging, garden hoses and medical tubing, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Also present is trichloroethylene, a cancer-causing substance known as TCE that’s often used to make refrigerants, a state Superfund fact sheet said.

The chemicals worked their way into the soil and groundwater after worming out of leaky underground storage tanks, Gothamist said.

The plan to mix the dirt with concrete came after site developer Madison Realty Capital discovered in January that the pollution had seeped much further down than originally thought.

The work site.

Digging too deep might leave the building with structural damage, the Superfund sheet said. So cubing the contaminants and covering them up became the next-best thing.

A Madison Realty spokesperson told The Post last week that the company always knew it might have to employ such a plan, which has been used at other NYC Superfund sites and would finally wrap up the company’s year-long cleanup.

“Madison Realty Capital has worked closely with the North Brooklyn community, local elected officials, DEC, environmental consultants, other city and state agencies and its construction team to ensure the safe and timely cleanup and redevelopment of the Nuhart site,” Zach Kadden, managing director of development at the firm, said in a statement.

“Over the course of the last 2.5 years, Madison Realty Capital has held eight public meetings, attended the first Greenpoint Construction Task Force meeting, and sent weekly updates to 500 members of the community to update the public throughout every phase of the process.”

Crews started to pour the foundation earlier this month. It should be done by May, and the whole complex is slated for completion in 2025.

Laura Hoffman, a 65-year-old Greenpoint resident who has lived in the neighborhood her entire life, told The Post that her six kids — and their kids — have suffered from the area’s toxic legacy, which she claimed appears in her family as birth defects, brain diseases and autoimmune disorders.

“There’s no other explanation other than environment, because all of our conditions are all over the place,” she said. “We got exposed to a whole bunch of stuff … a lot of people got sick, my family got sick, and we’re still dealing with different medical issues.”

An overhead shot of where the development will be.

Her oldest son and his wife had two sets of twins, she said. Both times, one of the twins died in utero from a rare birth defect called Trisomy 18, or Edward’s syndrome.

“The doctors said one twin from each set dying from that defect was rarer than getting hit by lightning twice,” Hofmann said.

“To deliberately leave something as bad as phthalates in the soil, particularly knowing the toxic legacy of the neighborhood — I think it’s disgusting,” she said of the developer, who she believes is simply trying to beat a tax-break deadline for firms that build affordable housing.

“The rush is all about money,” she said.

A street shot of the project.

“As much as I want to see affordable housing, I don’t want to see people getting sick in the future because they don’t know about something that’s here in the soil,” she continued. “That’s basically what happened to generations of people that lived here.”

Indeed, Madison Realty is on track to meet the June 2026 deadline for that tax break, according to Gothamist. Although the remediation plan may change if new information surfaces during the public comment period — further delaying construction.

Jane O’Connell, the state Department of Environmental Conservation’s remediation manager for the site, told the outlet that the state is watching “very carefully” to make sure the job’s done right.

“If they didn’t do it right, they’ve got to go back and do it again,” she said.

That sounded odd to Hofmann.

“The agencies say if [the remediation] isn’t good, they’ll have to go back and fix it,” she said. “That sounds kind of crazy to me. I mean, they’re already building on parts of the property there.”

Many airlines have 'stopover' programs that let travelers tour a city between connecting flights, and some will even pay for a hotel — here's how to book them

  • Many people intentionally book flights with long connections so they can explore the layover city.
  • Airlines capitalize on this trend with "stopover" programs, some even offering free hotels and food.
  • These stopovers benefit travelers, airlines, and the carrier's home country by boosting tourism.

Insider Today

A special segment of adventurous travelers will purposely book itineraries with long connections in layover cities just to leave the airport and explore for a few hours or days between flights.

Airlines have jumped on this growing trend with built-in "stopover" programs, which can come with free or discounted hotels, excursions, transportation, and food at the layover destination.

It's basically a vacation within a vacation.

Although it sounds too good to be true, stopovers benefit everyone involved. Travelers get more choices and don't have to be confined to an airport, airlines gain customers who may have otherwise chosen a nonstop option on a competitor, and the carrier's home country sees a boost in tourism.

Plus, the cheap or complimentary accommodations typically come at a small cost to airlines, thanks to partnerships with local hotels or tour companies.

Not all stopover programs are structured with an emphasis on tourism, though, as some were created simply to offer conveniences during long layovers. Still, they are a way to secure a free hotel and explore an extra city.

Here are 22 global airline stopover programs, each lasting anywhere from hours to months.

Many carriers allow stopovers to be added to a regular cash booking, but some are only available via award tickets . This means the flight was paid for using points/miles or a combination of points/miles and cash.

Air Canada has a stopover option built into its Aeroplan loyalty program. It allows customers booking award flights to add a stop on international journeys and explore practically any city the airline flies to outside the US and Canada.

The add-on costs 5,000 Aeroplan points each way and can only be booked if the stop is at least 24 hours, capping out at 45 days.

Air France/KLM

Air France and Dutch carrier KLM's Flying Blue loyalty program offers a stopover of 24 hours or more in a connecting city on either carrier or their airline partners.

The option is free to add to award tickets, and passengers can stay up to a year in the stopover city.

China Southern Airlines

China Southern Airlines offers a free one-night hotel stay for transfer passengers with connection times lasting between six and 30 hours, though there are some time and route restrictions.

Breakfast and transportation are included for eligible travelers.

Copa Airlines

Copa Airlines' Panama stopover program allows customers to spend anywhere from 24 hours to seven days in the nation's capital, Panama City, on their outbound or return trip.

The option is free for the first stopover, but a second stopover can cost up to $250 plus taxes. Copa offers discounted hotels and tours that can be booked via its stopover website.

Emirates allows a stopover in Dubai with the option to add discounted tours or hotel bookings to the itinerary via its website.

The UAE carrier also has a " Dubai Connect " program that gives passengers with layovers between 6 and 26 hours, depending on the cabin, a complimentary hotel, transfers, meals, and any needed visa.

Dubai Connect only triggers if the customer takes the next available flight. Essentially, you can't intentionally book a longer layover to quality for the free stopover hotel.

Ethiopian Airlines

Ethiopian Airlines' transit program gives customers flying via Addis Ababa a free hotel, transit visa, and transfers during layovers lasting between eight and 24 hours.

The hotel on the airline's website is the Ethiopian Skylight In-Terminal Hotel, located inside the airport.

Etihad Airways

Etihad Airways offers a stopover in its Abu Dhabi hub, which comes with an undisclosed discount at select three-star hotels for up to two nights.

Two and four-night stays can be booked at more luxurious four and five-star hotels at a 40% discount. The minimum stay is 24 hours.

Although Etihad's website says it is temporarily unavailable, the airline used to allow eligible travelers to use a so-called Transit Connect Package that provided a free hotel near the airport for layovers lasting 10 to 24 hours. It is unclear when or if the program is returning.

Fiji Airways

Fiji Airways offers a stopover program in Fiji for those traveling to and from Australia, New Zealand, and other South Pacific nations.

Related stories

Hotels and activities like ziplining and beach resorts can be booked through the airline as part of the stopover package.

Finnair allows passengers to book 6, 12, or 24-hour layovers in Helsinki at no additional fare charge and outlines itinerary ideas and information on its website , like transportation, free walking tours, and restaurants.

Customers can book a hotel through the airline and earn Finnair Plus points.

Iberia customers can plan a stopover in Madrid to or from an international destination for one to six nights at no extra cost.

Discounts on hotels, excursions, and transfers in the Spanish capital are available through Iberia.

Icelandair offers a stopover option for one to seven days in its capital city of Reykjavik on transatlantic itineraries for no additional charge.

The airline offers itinerary help and assistance in booking excursions and tours. Hotels need to be booked separately.

Japan Airlines

Japan Airlines considers itself one of the "most stopover -friendly" carriers in the world.

The stopovers, which trigger at 24 hours, are not limited to JAL's hubs in Tokyo but can be enjoyed in places like Osaka and Kyoto using the airline's multi-city booking tool.

Latam Airlines

Latam Airlines offers stopovers for between one and three days on flights that connect in São Paulo, Brasilia, Fortaleza, Recife, Manaus, Curitiba, and Belem. Only international itineraries that connect in São Paulo.

Hotels and amenities can be booked via Latam, but the stopover booking is free.

Oman Air offers customizable stopover packages to give travelers time to explore the country's capital, Muscat, and beyond. An additional fare charge may be applicable, though the airline does not fly to the US.

Packages and a-la-carte options include discounted hotels for up to three nights, as well as organized tours, meals, and transfers.

Australian flag carrier Qantas offers its stopovers in a similar manner to JAL in that multi-city bookings can be manipulated to add extra days between flights in layover cities, like Bangkok, Osaka, or San Francisco.

This comes at no extra cost on eligible Qantas fares and can be used on its Oneworld partner airlines.

Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways' stopover program allows passengers with a minimum layover of 12 hours and up to 24 hours to choose from a list of deeply discounted four and five-star hotels. Certain flight itineraries allow for up to four nights.

Nightly hotel rates start at $14 per person for 1 night at four-star standard hotels, with premium five-star beach hotels starting at $30 per person for one night.

Royal Jordanian Airlines

Royal Jordanian Airlines' transit program gives economy and business-class travelers with at least eight and six-hour layovers, respectively, a free hotel room, meals, and transit, assuming certain fare conditions are met.

However, the connecting flight must be the earliest possible — meaning, similar to Emirates, passengers can't intentionally book a longer layover to be eligible for the complimentary perks.

Swiss International Air Lines

Swiss International Air Lines, or SWISS, has a multi-city stopover booking tool on its website that allows passengers to find itineraries with extra days in Switzerland.

The cost of hotels and other perks is on the customer, though.

Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines' stopover program is available via the multi-city tool, similar to other carriers, where travelers can add hotels, transfers, and activities. The stopover can last one to seven days.

Singapore also offers free transit tours to passengers with layover times between five and a half and 24 hours at Singapore's Changi Airport. It's first-come, first-serve and includes sightseeing around Singapore.

TAP Air Portugal

TAP Air Portugal allows customers to add a stopover in Lisbon or Porto between one and 10 days, offering discounts on hotels, food, and activities.

It also offers 25% off a domestic flight to a second Portuguese destination, like the Azores or Madeira islands, to take during the stopover.

Turkish Airlines

Turkish Airlines' stopover program gives economy travelers a one-night free hotel stay and business flyers a two-night free stay if the period between their connecting flights in Istanbul exceeds 20 hours.

Those traveling from the US in economy class can stay up to two nights in a four-star hotel, while those traveling in business can stay up to three nights in a five-star hotel.

PGA TOUR Champions

Inspired by Aaron Rodgers, Bernhard Langer making rapid return to PGA TOUR Champions

Change Text Size

Bernhard Langer will make his PGA TOUR Champions return at next week’s Insperity Invitational presented by United Healthcare, just three months after the 66-year-old tore his left Achilles tendon.

“Statistically, they say that guys win the most tournaments from age 50 to 55 on the PGA TOUR Champions, and then they kind of drop off,” Langer said in a statement. “I’m trying to continue to prove them wrong.”

“Part of my training is doing other things, like ping-pong and other sports," Langer said. "So I played pickleball with some of my friends. My opponent lobbed me and I did a few steps back, jumped up and hit it and as I landed, I heard this loud noise and pain in my leg. I went down on the ground and at first I thought I hit something walking backwards but as I looked around there me was nothing there and I realized most likely it’s a torn Achilles tendon.

“I immediately started talking about, ‘Well, what does this mean?” he continued. "Because I had no idea, how long will I be out? Will I ever be back?”

Bernhard Langer’s remarkable recovery after Achilles injury

Langer's doctors quickly alleviated his worries, projecting a full recovery if he followed the physical therapy plan. Langer spent more than a month wearing a boot on his left foot but shed it by the end of March when he was able to stand on his own for the first time. Shortly after, he was cleared to begin working out and hitting balls.

“That was an amazing feeling, that I can actually stand again because I didn’t stood for weeks,” Langer said.

Langer found inspiration in New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who underwent the same Achilles surgery last September. Rodgers’ accelerated timeline, which allowed the star quarterback to throw a football within three months, provided Langer a roadmap.

“That lifted my spirits, hearing he was back on the field throwing the ball after eight or nine weeks," Langer said. "That encouraged me that I may do something similar."

Bernhard Langer | Swing Theory | Driver, iron, wedge

It’s a remarkable recovery for Langer, who has defied his age and expectations many times before. Langer has won more than 130 professional golf tournaments around the world throughout his career. A three-time winner on the PGA TOUR, including the 1985 and 1993 Masters, Langer also has 12 major victories on the PGA TOUR Champions. He is one of only five players to have won tournaments on all six continents where golf is played. He has played on 10 Ryder Cup teams and captained the European squad to victory in 2004.

Langer won twice last year, including the U.S. Senior Open, to pass Hale Irwin for most victories on Champions Tour. Langer has finished in the top-five in more than 40 percent of his Champions Tour starts. The ageless Langer has accumulated 28 titles after the age of 57, and 13 of his wins have come following his 60th birthday. The only player to win after turning 64, which he has done four times, Langer is also the only player in history to win every major on the senior swing.

He doesn’t intend for this injury to derail that pace: “My goal was always to be the best I can be and I think if I get back to being my best again, even at my age, I still think I’m competitive and win.”

Ryan Seacrest celebrates 20 years at KIIS FM with tour across SoCal to thank fans

Michelle Fisher Image

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Ryan Seacrest celebrated 20 years at KIIS FM by going on a "Thank You" tour Thursday and he even handed out prizes to his loyal followers.

It was cheers and smiles for Seacrest as the host greeted a waiting crowd at the final stop of the tour in Burbank.

"I remember on the first day I was terrified," he told Eyewitness News. "I was so nervous, filling some very big shoes on such a legendary radio station, and to be able to do it 20 years later is incredible. I love coming to work."

The day-long "Ryan's Riding O.C. to L.A." tour made various stops throughout Southern California, like the Disneyland Resort.

The day wrapped up at a Shell gas station on Hollywood Way in Burbank - just steps away from Seacrest's previous apartment building. Fans were excited for free gas cards and a $1,000 raffle for bill money.

A lucky fan from Van Nuys walked away the winner, but meeting Seacrest was enough for others eager to meet the host.

"Ryan Seacrest is my inspiration. He's the reason I left my job. I want to be an on-air host," Ricardo Horna of West Hollywood said. "I also just admire everything that he's done - how relatable he is, how personal he is when he meets people."

One 9-year-old fan from Long Beach couldn't get enough and saw Seacrest at various stops.

In between selfies and hugs, Seacrest even graciously shared a prediction about his other hosting gig, "American Idol," ahead of the upcoming finale.

"I can't wait for this season to run its course, and then we're going to get excited about a new season," he said. "I don't know who's going to fill Katy Perry's seat, but we're going to have to make an announcement soon."
