By most standards, Atlantis' pool is poor. Depending on your budget, the Fairmont at the base of the palm has a a far better pool, in fact four of them, and is much cheaper than Atlantis.

Not sure of the ages of the kids but have a look at Grand Hyatt - extensive grounds, a big landscaped pool and there was a little water park plus a shaded toddlers pool. They have been working on the hotel but probably worth a look
