Die Soča ist eine der beliebtesten Kajak-Destinationen in Europa. Die Geschwindigkeiten in verschiedenen Schwierigkeitsgraden (von I bis V) sind sowohl für Anfänger als auch für erfahrene Kajakfahrer geeignet, die technisch anspruchsvolle Teile bevorzugen.

Die Kajakabfahrt entlang der  Soča  bietet Kajakfahrern ein besonderes Gefühl, die Natur zu erleben. Das Gleiten auf dem smaragdgrünen Wasserspiegel stoppt in ruhigen Ecken des Flusses und belohnt die Kajakfahrer mit Frische, Rauschen und zauberhaften Aussichten. Ein  Kajak-Ausflug im Soča-Tal  ist die richtige Erfrischung an heißen Sommertagen; sogar im Regen vergisst man schlechtes Wetter.

Kajakfahren im Soča-Tal und seiner Umgebung ist auf Flussabschnitten und Seen möglich:

• Fluss Soča  (verschiedene Schwierigkeitsgrade),
• Fluss Koritnica  (geeignet für erfahrene Kajakfahrer),
• See bei Most na Soči  (geeignet für Anfänger),
• Rabeljsko jezero  (geeignet für Anfänger).

Für die Fahrt entlang der Flüsse Soča und Koritnica ist eine  Genehmigung  erforderlich. Bevor Sie zum Fluss fahren, werfen Sie einen Blick auf die Informationen über das  Flussfahrt-Regime und Sicherheit .  Für Anfänger ist es ratsam, mit einem guten Führer Kajak zu fahren.  Sportagenturen , die Abfahrten organisieren, stellen die notwendige Ausrüstung, einen professionellen Führer für die sichere Flussfahrt und den Transport zum Fluss und zurück zum Ausgangspunkt zur Verfügung.

Kajak- und Kanutour Soča, Etappe 1: Obere Soča - Lepena bis Mündung der Koritnica

Tourenbeschreibung.

Die Soča in Slowenien ist einer die beliebtesten Flüsse für Paddler. Die erste Etappe dieser mehrtägigen Kajaktour beginnt in Lepena beim Camping Klin und führt bis zur Mündung der Koritnica mit dem Camp Kovač bei Bovec.

Der Bereich der oberen Soča ist als mittelschweres Wildwasser, WW 2-4, einzustufen.

Streckenbeschreibung Unterhalb der 2. Soča Klamm befindet sich ein idyllischer Badeplatz, ideal zum Abkühlen und Klippenspringen. Die Warmduscher ziehen hier den Neopren an und steigen ins Kajak. Die ersten Kilometer plätschert die Soča im zweiten Schwierigkeitsgrad dahin und bietet Gelegenheit die außergewöhnliche Landschaft zu genießen.

Nach ca. 2 Kilometern (Seilbrücke) steigern sich die Schwierigkeiten. Es folgt der Bunkerschwall - schöne Blockstrecke WW3-4. Einige Paddelschläge später folgt die beeindruckende 3. Klamm. Unbedingt links anlanden und besichtigen!

Schwierige Einfahrt danach Verwirbelungen und Presswässer. Ein Schwimmer kann hier fatale Folgen haben, also im Zweifel links umtragen. Danach folgt mittelschweres Genußwildwasser bis zur Mündung der Koritnica. Ausstieg rechts am Campingplatz.

Kayaking adventure through the underground of Mount Peca

Become a part of an underground adventure in which you will row through the flooded tunnels of the largest lead and zinc mine in this part of Europe.

Challenges in the beauty of abandoned mine tunnels

In the midst of underground work sites where the rumbling of machines could once be heard, you can enter a maze of subterranean tunnels and lakes, which you can explore accompanied by a guide.

This is a mine that you won’t easily forget

You will row 700 metres below the earth's surface and explore gigantic excavation areas, tunnels, and spacious underground chambers. Your guide will be a former miner who will take you in the footsteps of his former workplace.

This is an intimate experience of a mine which preserved all of its original infrastructure after it closed in 1994. Become a part of the 350-year history of a mine in which thousands of kilometres of tunnels were dug and an impressive 19 million tonnes of ore were excavated.

Course of the experience:

• You will meet your guide at the Glančnik Information Centre. The guide will provide you with a helmet and a light.
• You will then board an original mining train. The ride to the underground world under Mt Peca takes place through a 3.5-kilometre-long tunnel that leads you to the Union Slope Tunnel.
• You will descend down the steps 91 metres in depth. You will change into protective equipment before getting in the water. You will row on an underground river, ultimately reaching small lakes located 700 metres below the earth’s surface. You will be able to explore an underground maze of flooded tunnels and excavation sites. The guide will introduce you to the geological history of the area, explain how the mine was created, and tell you about the rare minerals that can be found there.
• You will row through a narrow tunnel and cross white waters.
• Then, you will go back up the stairs to the changing room, where you can change and then return through abandoned major excavation sites to the Moring work site; there, you will be able to enjoy a Koroška miners’ snack.

Finally, leave the mine by train. Optionally, tour the museum collections in Glančnik.

Timetable:  From Tuesday to Sunday, from 20 February to 20 December.

Duration:  4-5 hours.

Start : Info Centre, Glančnik 8, SI 2392 Mežica.

Price : 55 EUR per person, which includes:

• a local guide,
• transport by cave train,
• a miners’ snack,
• rental of a kayak and speleological equipment: rubber boots, protective clothing, a life jacket, a helmet with a headlamp,

You can also cover the five-kilometre underground cycling path winding its way through the abandoned mining tunnels under Mt Peca by bike, accompanied by a guide and illuminated by head lamps.

The underground world of the mine is a part of the Karawanken UNESCO Global Geopark, which covers 14 municipalities in Slovenia and Austria.

Deep below the surface, you can touch wonderful minerals, which can only be rarely found elsewhere in the world – orange wulfenite, white calcite, silver galenite, and the brownish sphalerite.

Lead mined in the Koroška region was used to make the bullets used by Napoleon’s soldiers as well as German soldiers in North Africa and outside of Stalingrad in Russia.

Audio-visual materials (video)

• Minimum height is 150cm
• Minimum number of persons to do the Cave Kayak is 4 (If you are an individual please contact us via Enquiry form and we will try to find a group for you or organise private trip).

This Cave kayak adventure starts at our office in Bled or any other pre arranged location. First we drive to the mining museum in Glančnik, Mežica where path leads us to abandoned lead mine in wonderful valley of Mežica.

You board a genuine mining train which rides from the museum through the 3.5 km long Gačnik tunnel and up to Unionski vpadnik slope Cave. From here you descend for 95 m and go down the stairs that lead to water. At this point you all receive the necessary protective equipment. Then you enter a Cave where special three person kayaks are already waiting for you. Your Cave Kayak guide leads you along a small underground river until you reach the magical underground lakes almost 700 m below the surface. You can now enjoy the peaceful and pristine water and explore the underground cave labyrinth, submerged tunnels and excavation sites. You will end your Cave Kayak journey by following a narrow passage, paddling through some minor rapids and arriving back at the starting point. 

After the Cave Kayak ride you will walk past the abandoned underground working sites to the mining train station. Allow your guide to take you back to a time when the mine was not immersed in silence when it was full of miners working away with different tools and machines. After a proper miner’s lunch the train will take you to the mining museum where you can admire a number of interesting collections. These display the daily lives and work of miners in the heart of Mount Peca as well as precious ores and minerals the wonderful creations of Mother Nature.

Mit dem Kajak in die Unterwelt der Petzen

Im Untergrund der Petzen warten die geheimnisvollen Labyrinthe eines ehemalige Bergwerks darauf, entdeckt zu werden. Und zwar mit Kajaks!

Sie haben richtig gelesen: In Begleitung ehemaliger Knappen begeben Sie sich nahezu 700 Meter in den Untergrund der Petzen und erkunden mit Kanus die überfluteten Gänge des ehemaligen Bergwerks. Tief unter der Erde erwarten Sie wunderschöne, kristallklare Seen.

Wie alles begann Das Gebiet zwischen der Petzen und der Uršlja gora in der Region Koroška ist schon seit jeher für seine Erzvorkommen bekannt. Im Laufe von drei Jahrhunderten des Bergbaus haben die Bergleute mehr als 800 Kilometer Gänge ausgehoben. Mit der Schließung des Bergwerks Ende des vergangenen Jahrhunderts wurde auch das Pumpen von Grubenwasser eingestellt. Dadurch wurden die unteren Teile der Grube überflutet und so entstanden die zauberhaften unterirdischen Seen. Heute läuft das Wasser frei aus der Grube und die Seen sind zu einer wahren Touristenattraktion geworden.

Das Bergwerk ist heute für Besucher geöffnet. Es kann sowohl mit der Grubenbahn als auch per Rad oder per Kajak ergründet werden.

Mit Paddeln durch dunkle Tiefen

Klingt überaus interessant und aufregend, finden Sie nicht?

Das Kajak-Abenteuer dauert 4 Stunden und zählt zu den einzigartigsten Touristenerlebnissen, die Slowenien zu bieten hat. Mit der Grubenbahn geht es 700 Meter unter die Erde und dann zu Fuß bis zum Wasser, wo Schutzkleidung und Sicherheitsausrüstung warten. Mit Dreierkajaks paddeln die Besucher über das kristallklare, ruhige Wasser und ergründen die unterirdischen Gänge.

Bitte reservieren Sie einen Termin, da der Zutritt zur Grube ohne Voranmeldung nicht möglich ist. Kontakt: [email protected] Die maximale Teilnehmerzahl pro Gruppe beträgt 10 Personen. Teilnehmer müssen mindestens 10 Jahre alt und 150 cm groß sein. Da die Temperatur im Bergwerk nur um die 10 °C beträgt, empfiehlt es sich, entsprechende Kleidung und Schuhwerk zu tragen.
