Miami Carnival celebrates young people with our annual Jr. Carnival.

This creatively enriching youth experience offers an annual parade of young masqueraders competing for bragging rights and prizes, showcases arts and crafts, such as face painting, calypso competition, a Panorama concert, and other youth-inspired activities. Junior Carnival is an all-round event that offers our young leaders and masqueraders a space to grow and shine. It’s also a great avenue for developing artistry.

Please join us in raising funds and awareness for the steel pan and new mask-making workshops.  The Miami Broward One Carnival Host Committee expanded its youth enrichment program and launched its youth pan workshops and new mask-making workshops. These fun and interactive workshops are designed to introduce children to the steel pan and making of mas through hands-on instruction. We intend to empower children to discover their highest potential through musical instruction and in a collaborative environment that helps build confidence and teamwork. Children learn the importance of collaboration and cooperation; they learn how to become one voice and, through their shared experience, grow stronger as individuals and as a community.

Carnival Lists Miami Headquarters for Sale; Looking to Downsize

Carnival Corporation has listed its headquarters in Miami for sale, after owning it for nearly three decades.

According to Bloomberg , the company is now looking to downsize to about 300,000 square feet of new office space in the Miami area in the next two years. 

Cruise Industry News understands many Carnival employees work fully remote following the pandemic.

A spokesperson confirmed that the company is “exploring options for new office facilities,” according to the Bloomberg story. 

Located 15 miles from the Port of Miami, the 470,000 square feet Doral headquarters has served as Carnival’s base since it was acquired in 1983. The Miami space is being listed with commercial real estate broker Cushman & Wakefield Plc.

Carnival Corporation plans headquarters sale and Miami relocation

Carnival Corporation is in the process of selling its longstanding headquarters in Doral, Florida, with plans to relocate to a more modern and compact office space within the Miami area .

The company has operated from its headquarters on Northwest 87th Avenue in Doral for ~3 decades, having acquired the site in late 1994 for US$23 million, which was assessed to have a market value of US$66.1 million in 2023, according to county property appraisal records.

Carnival has engaged Cushman & Wakefield to oversee the sale of the property.

The company aims to secure ~300,000 ft2 (27,870 m2) for its new office, signaling a notable 1/3rd reduction (~36%) from its current space. This downsizing aligns with a broader trend toward more streamlined utilization of office space, potentially influenced by hybrid work arrangements and technological advancements.

While Carnival continues to operate from its existing Doral headquarters, it is actively exploring potential new locations over the next 2 years.

Carnival's strategic real estate decisions reflect a larger trend observed among cruise operators reassessing their office requirements in the post-pandemic era. For example, MSC Group has committed to occupying 130,000 square feet (12,077 m2) in a new mixed-use development near downtown Miami and is in the process of constructing a new cruise terminal at PortMiami. Similarly, Royal Caribbean Group has initiated the construction of a new 380,000-square-foot (35,303 m2) headquarters at PortMiami, emphasizing a significant investment in cutting-edge facilities to support operational expansion and enhance employee engagement.
