Queens of the Stone Age have added new tour dates for their The End is Nero tour . The band will now perform a Los Angeles show date at the KIA Forum on Dec. 16, 2023 . Additional new tour stops include shows in San Diego at Viejas Arena, Phoenix at Arizona Financial Theatre, Austin at the Moody Center ATX , and more tour dates.

Spiritualized will be opening this run of December Queens of the Stone Age tour dates in North America. Led by J Spaceman,  Spiritualized  are supporting their ninth album,  Everything Was Beautiful. 

Tickets to Queens of the Stone Age’s new tour dates go on sale to the general public on Friday, Sept. 22 at 10am local time. However, fans can get tickets as early as Wednesday, Sept. 20, through a few different Queens of the Stone Age presale opportunities. Get the presale code below!

In a wild year, Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme has dealt with cancer treatment, along with an ongoing custody battle of his children with ex-wife Brody Dalle.

According to the Guardian , the long and bitter saga with Dalle has seen both parties file restraining orders against the other, and accuse the other of physical assault. Dalle has accused Homme of head-butting her , and telling her that he fantasized about killing her; Homme has said Dalle had punched him in the face on numerous occasions, among other attacks.

The drama surrounding both parties has made longtime QOTSA fans reluctant to support any tour dates, as many have verbalized on social media . Also, many fans and music journalists have not forgotten when Homme kicked a working female photographer in the head (camera-to-head) at the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas.

What is the Queens of the Stone Age Presale Code?

Artist presale.

A Queens of the Stone Age presale will kick off Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 10am local time through Thursday, Sept. 21 at 10pm. To access the artist presale, first select your preferred tour date . Next, you will need to add the artist presale code you will receive once you sign up for their email newsletter.

This is not confirmed for this tour leg, but the previous tour’s presale code was NERO .

Citi Presale

A Citi card presale will begin Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 10am local time through Thursday, Sept. 21 at 10pm. If you have a Citi card, you can take part in this presale now! Select your tour date , and use the first 6 digits of your Citi® credit card or Citibank® Debit Card as the presale code.

Live Nation Presale

A Live Nation promoter presale will start on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 10am local time through Thursday, Sept. 22 at 10pm. To get these presale tickets, you’ll need first to select your desired tour date . Next, input the following presale code: STUDIO .

KIA Forum Presale

For Los Angeles fans, you also have the option to take part in the KIA Forum venue presale. Select your seat or floor ticket , and use the following presale code at check out: INGLEWOOD.  

What Are Those Official Platinum Tickets?

If you’re seeing very expensive tickets that are not VIP, those are official platinum tickets. These tickets are very expensive and are offered well over the standard ticket prices. They’re the kind of ticket pricing that is unfair to fans. The Event Organizer(s) has priced these tickets according to their market value (aka dynamic pricing). In other words, ticket pricing can go up or down, and it usually goes up.

Artists can choose not to offer Official Platinum or limit the amount for charity purposes. The Cure , Pearl Jam and U2 have all been recognized as artists that don’t use these dynamic pricing tactics.

Official platinum tickets do not include VIP packages. The only positive thing about them is they make buying floor or front-row tickets to a high-demand concert very easy if you’re willing to shed the extra coin. They can be bought during a presale without a presale code (doesn’t always apply to Verified Fan). Availability and pricing for official platinum tickets are subject to change based on demand.

If money is not an object, you should definitely bank on the convenience of getting Official Platinum tickets.

Pro Tips When Buying Your Tickets

First, on the day of the presale or general onsale (whichever you prefer), login to your Ticketmaster account ( go to my account or sign in located on the upper right corner of the page ) at least 15 minutes ahead of the sale time. If you don’t have one,  create one now .

Be sure to add your billing info (aka credit card info) before jumping into the digital queue for a quick check-out. Once the presale starts, remain in the digital queue. Only use one browser window because using multiple browsers or devices and multiple accounts with the same phone number can result in errors. Trust, it’s happened to us before! Don’t refresh your page, do be patient, don’t leave your page, do get those tickets!

What To Do If Tickets Are Sold Out?

If tickets sell out, your other option is to buy them via online resellers like VividSeats or StubHub. When all else fails, we prefer these resell options because both offer a 100% Guarantee. You can also purchase resell tickets through Ticketmaster’s resell program. Just search for the concert or event you want to attend , and see if they have any resell tickets available. We recommend you compare the three options and find out which works best for you.

Alternatively, you can hit it old school style and show up at the concert when the box office opens and wish upon a star that they release more tickets, or hopefully, another concert-goer has an extra ticket to sell at face-value or even giveaway for free. Trust, this happens more often than not! We’ve given away many tickets to sold-out shows simply because our +1 couldn’t make it.

Also, more standard tickets are often released via Ticketmaster 1-3 days leading up to the show date. We’ve seen it with Beyonce , Taylor Swift , Arctic Monkeys and many more! It’s a secret gatekeeped by many, but if you’re reading this, now you know! So be sure to set your calendar notifications!

Queens of the Stone Age have announced a 2023 North American tour taking place over two legs in the late summer and early fall. The band will be out in support of its forthcoming album, In Times New Roman… , due June 16th.

The first leg of the outing, dubbed “The End Is Nero Tour,” kicks off August 3rd in Sterling Heights, Michigan, and runs through an August 19th gig in Nashville. The second leg is bookended by appearances at Riot Fest on September 16th and the Aftershock festival on October 8th. Phantogram and The Armed will provide support on the first leg, while Viagra Boys and Jehnny Beth will open the second leg.

A band pre-sale begins Tuesday (June 6th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster using the code NERO . A Live Nation pre-sale starts Thursday at 10 a.m. local time using the code DISCO , while general sales start on Friday (June 9th) at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can also check for deals or pick up tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub , where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

The North American run will mark QOTSA’s first stateside outing in five years. According to a press release, the band is inviting fans to “come celebrate the end of the world” and “would like to encourage the obscene and the clean, the outcasts and the weirdos, and anyone and everyone in between to attend.”

Prior to the North American trek, QOTSA will embark on a European/UK tour from mid June through early July. Tickets to the international shows are available here .

Undeniably rock — yes, always, but with the blood, sweat and dark magical swagger only Homme and his cohorts can conjure.

Regularly hailed as one of the greatest live bands in existence, QOTSA consists of Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita and Jon Theodore… What started off as “generator parties” in the desert has evolved to sold out arenas and headlining the main stage of your favorite summer festival.
