More Information
Our York City Cruise offers an entertaining and informative tour of the River Ouse. Escape the city rush and enjoy York from a different perspective whilst our friendly and knowledgeable team guide you leisurely up and downstream. These cruises depart from both of our landing stages; the King’s Staith Landing and the Lendal Bridge Landing.
A York City Cruise enables you to admire the scenery from the comfort of the enclosed saloon or the upper deck. Take home fascinating facts about the incredible history of York and its river from the live, sightseeing commentary delivered by our local skippers. Learn about York’s famous history of flooding and its previous prosperity as an inland port, all while sailing along the very river that brought the Romans and the Vikings to our beautiful city. You are more than welcome to treat yourself to a refreshing drink from the bar whilst resting your feet. York City Cruises can sail on all five vessels in our fleet, each of which has an enclosed heated saloon, at least two toilets and a fully stocked bar serving beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks, hot drinks and snacks.
Your ticket includes: 45 minutes or 1 hour sightseeing cruise through York (duration determined by weather, river levels and demand)
Our 1 hour cruise will usually operate a route heading upstream to Clifton Bridge on the northern outskirts of the city and then downstream as far as the Millennium Bridge on the southern outskirts of the city, before returning upstream to the landing stage that you departed from. Our 45-minute cruise will usually operate in the same area as the 1 hour cruise without going quite as far in either direction, passing right through the centre of the walled City of York.
Discounts at other York Attractions
Using your ticket for your York City Cruise you will then be able to gain a discount at either of the following 2 attractions:
- York City Sightseeing bus tours (£1 off per person)
- York Chocolate Story (up to 20% off)
- Clifford's Tower (up to 20% off)
Simply take the ticket you are given by the crewmember as you board to the next attraction and hand it in when you buy your ticket from them. You will only be eligible for this discount after your cruise.

Suri cruise rings in 18th birthday in nyc while tom on set in london, suri cruise milestone 18th bday in rainy nyc ... dad tom on london set.
Suri Cruise is celebrating adulthood -- let that sink in -- as she rings in her 18th birthday in NYC by taking a rainy day stroll with a friend.
Despite the dreary weather, Suri didn't let a little rain wash out her big day ... she happily chatted away with her pal while under the shelter of her pink umbrella.
Suri had a gift bag in hand during her walk around town, suggesting the celebrations were already underway. It remains to be seen if there will be any larger festivities later -- she leads a pretty low-key lifestyle -- but ya gotta figure her mom Katie Holmes has something planned for such a big birthday.
As for Suri's dad, Tom Cruise , he most certainly won't be joining in on the birthday fun for a couple reasons.
First of all, Tom's across the pond from Suri right now -- he's busy filming a new project in London.
But, more importantly, the father and daughter reportedly haven't had a close relationship since 2012.
In fact, the last time they were publicly seen together was at Disney World that summer. That's also the same year Katie filed for divorce from Tom, when Suri was just 6-years-old.
At this point, they've been estranged twice as long as they were together -- so, the Tom factor's probably NBD for her.
Suri's eligible to vote for the first time. They really do grow up so fast!!!

Tickets now on sale for berkshire flyer seasonal passenger rail service between new york city and pittsfield, massachusetts.
Passenger rail service runs on weekends from June 21 through September 2
Friday and Sunday service, including a Sunday morning train from NYC, from Amtrak, in conjunction with MassDOT and NYSDOT
PITTSFIELD – Amtrak, in conjunction with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) and New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), is announcing tickets are now on sale for the Berkshire Flyer , the seasonal summer passenger rail service that operates between New York City from Moynihan Train Hall and Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The service, which began as a successful pilot in 2022, is scheduled to resume on Friday, June 21 through Monday, September 2 for Labor Day weekend. Trains depart New York City Friday nights and return at the end of the weekend, leaving Pittsfield Sunday afternoon. In addition, for the first time this year, the Berkshire Flyer service now includes a train from New York City to Pittsfield on Sunday mornings.
We’re thrilled to announce this season’s Berkshire Flyer service,” said Transportation Secretary and CEO Monica Tibbits-Nutt. “The Berkshire Flyer makes visiting Western Massachusetts on weekends convenient, relaxing, and easy. We are pleased to continue our successful partnership with Amtrak, the New York State Department of Transportation and CSX.”
Massachusetts Rail and Transit Administrator Meredith Slesinger added, “ MassDOT continues to implement its Compass Rail program to enhance existing and launch new passenger service, and the Berkshire Flyer is one element of our larger vision. We are pleased to offer this service for a third season and continue to advance other elements of the program with Amtrak, CSX, and our federal and state partners.”
“The Berkshire Flyer provides a comfortable and fun way for our guests to visit the Berkshire Mountains , all while enjoying unmatched scenery that you can only experience on America’s Railroad,” said Amtrak Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Eiliot Hamlisch. “Thanks to the support of our partners at MassDOT, NYSDOT and CSX, Amtrak travelers can enjoy their journey and the local culture all summer long.”
New York State Department of Transportation Commissioner Marie Therese Dominguez said, “NYSDOT is proud to support this wonderfully successful passenger rail service, which provides a relaxing and enjoyable experience for travelers of all ages. Whether it’s a weekend getaway, or a longer vacation, the Berkshire Flyer experience offers a convenient and eco-friendly way for travelers and adventure seekers to explore the beauty and charm of the Berkshires and Upstate New York.”
CSX is pleased to extend our commitment to pilot passenger service, the Berkshire Flyer, that will run between New York City and Pittsfield, MA on our network this summer,” said Senior Director of Passenger Operations at CSX, Andy Daly. “CSX has a long history of working in partnership on projects that benefit both passenger and freight rail service, and since acquiring Pan Am, we have made significant investments in the infrastructure to provide a safer, more reliable freight rail network throughout New England.”
“I have been a staunch supporter of the Berkshire Flyer from the beginning. As a catalyst for regional economic growth and sustainability, it underscores the importance of improved and expanded passenger rail service throughout the Commonwealth. I am thrilled that the service will soon be underway for the summer of 2024,” said Congressman Richard Neal. “FY23 marked a nearly 50% increase in ridership from FY22, a testament to the desirability of the service. We all know what the Berkshires has to offer in the arts, culture, history, and hospitality, and the Berkshire Flyer serves as an accessible, convenient mode of transportation that allows tourists to visit throughout the summer months. I am grateful to the folks at Amtrak, CSX, MassDOT, and NYSDOT for their continued efforts to support the operation of this service.”
The Berkshire Flyer departs from Moynihan Train Hall at 3:16 p.m. on Fridays and arrives at Joseph Scelsi Intermodal Transportation Center in Pittsfield at 7:27 p.m. The train will make all intermediate station stops as the scheduled Amtrak Empire Service train does in New York State on Fridays, which include Yonkers, Croton-Harmon, Poughkeepsie, Rhinecliff, Hudson, and Albany-Rensselaer Station. The Sunday return trip, making all the same station stops, will depart Pittsfield at 3:35 p.m. and arrive in New York at 7:55 p.m. The new Sunday Berkshire Flyer train from New York City to Pittsfield will depart Moynihan Train Hall at 10:50 a.m. and arrive in Pittsfield at 3:15 p.m.
The Berkshire Flyer is building upon two successful seasons where some of the Pittsfield-bound trains were sold out well in advance. Based on that experience, passengers planning a trip are encouraged to purchase tickets early by visiting Amtrak.com , the Amtrak app or by calling 1-800-USA-RAIL.
Berkshire Flyer customers can expect the same amenities onboard as they do on all other Amtrak trains including, free Wi-Fi, the freedom to always use phones and electronic devices (no “airplane mode”), the ability to travel with small pets, large spacious seats with plenty of leg room and no middle seat.,

NEW YORK — New York City residents may soon see warning labels next to sugary foods and drinks in chain restaurants and coffee shops, under a law set to go into effect later this year.
The rule requires food businesses with 15 storefronts or more to post a warning icon – a black and white spoon loaded with sugar – next to menu items containing at least 50 grams of added sugar.
Businesses will also have to post the following written label to accompany the logo: “Warning: indicates that the added sugar content of this item is higher than the total daily recommended limit of added sugar for a 2,000 calorie diet (50g). Eating too many added sugars can contribute to type 2 diabetes and weight gain.”
The city’s health department posted its proposed rule language last week and set a public hearing for late May. City officials and Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat, approved the law last year. The rule is scheduled to go into effect June 19 for prepackaged food items and Dec. 1 for other items.
Asked about the policy in a 1010 WINS radio interview Thursday, Adams said, “We have an obligation and responsibility as a city, not only to react to the healthcare crisis, but to be proactive to prevent some of the healthcare issues. Sugar is one of the leading causes of health-related items and issues and diseases.”
“I say over and over again in my personal journey of health, “Food is medicine,” said Adams, a self-styled healthy eater who has claimed to be vegan but admitted he sometimes eats fish.
The incoming rule isn’t a New York City mayor’s first foray into public health policy.
Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg got artificial trans fat banned from chain restaurants and required chains to post calorie counts on menus. He also banned smoking indoors at restaurants and bars. Bill de Blasio, the mayor before Adams, pushed a rule to notify customers of high sodium in foods.
Critics of such regulations have long argued that officials are turning the city into a “nanny state.”

George Soros and his hard-left acolytes are paying agitators who are fueling the explosion of radical anti-Israel protests at colleges across the country.
The protests, which began when students took over Columbia University’s Morningside Heights campus lawn last week, have mushroomed nationwide.
Copycat tent cities have been set up at colleges including Harvard , Yale, Berkeley in California, the Ohio State University and Emory in Georgia — all of them organized by branches of the Soros-funded Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) — and at some, students have clashed with police.
The SJP parent organization has been funded by a network of nonprofits ultimately funded by, among others, Soros, the billionaire left-wing investor.
At three colleges, the protests are being encouraged by paid radicals who are “fellows” of a Soros-funded group called the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR).
USCPR provides up to $7,800 for its community-based fellows and between $2,880 and $3,660 for its campus-based “fellows” in return for spending eight hours a week organizing “campaigns led by Palestinian organizations.”
They are trained to “rise up, to revolution.”
The radical group received at least $300,000 from Soros’ Open Society Foundations since 2017 and also took in $355,000 from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund since 2019.
It has three “fellows” who have been major figures in the nationwide protest movement.
Nidaa Lafi, a former president of the University of Texas Students for Justice in Palestine, was seen at an encampment at UT Dallas Wednesday making a speech demanding an end to the war in Gaza .
Lafi, a former legislative intern for the late Democratic Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, graduated from the school last year with a degree in global business and is now a law student at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
In January, she was detained for blocking the route of President Biden’s motorcade after he arrived in Dallas for the funeral of Johnson, her former boss.
At Yale, USCPR’s fellow Craig Birckhead-Morton was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree trespassing when SJP’s branch, Yalies4Palestine, occupied the school’s Beinecke Plaza, the Yale Daily News reported.
Birckhead-Morton — also a former intern for a Democrat, Maryland rep John Sarbanes — emerged from custody to address a sit-in blocking traffic in New Haven.
The most high-profile of the fellows is Berkeley’s Malak Afaneh, co-president of the Berkeley Law Students for Justice in Palestine.
She has been a serial speaker at an anti-Israel protest on the campus this week — which came after she first shot to prominence by hijacking a dinner at the law school dean’s home to shout anti-Israel slogans, then accused the dean’s wife of assaulting her when she asked the radical to leave.
The cash from Soros and his acolytes has been critical to the Columbia protests that set off the national copycat demonstrations.
Three groups set up the tent city on Columbia’s lawn last Wednesday: Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Within Our Lifetime.
At the “Gaza Solidarity Encampment,” students sleep in tents apparently ordered from Amazon and enjoy delivery pizza, coffee from Dunkin’ , free sandwiches worth $12.50 from Pret a Manger, organic tortilla chips and $10 rotisserie chickens.
An analysis by The Post shows that all three got cash from groups linked to Soros. The Rockefeller Brothers Fund also gave cash to JVP.
The fund is chaired by Joseph Pierson, and includes David Rockefeller Jr, a fourth-generation member of the oil dynasty, on its board of directors. The non-profit gives money to “sustainable development” and “peace-building.”
And a former Wall Street banker, Felice Gelman, a retired investment banker who has dedicated her Wall Street fortune to pro-Palestinian causes, funded all three groups.
Both SJP and JVP were expelled from Columbia University in November for “threatening rhetoric and intimidation.” JVP blamed Israel for the Oct 7 Hamas terrorist attack that left 1,200 Israelis dead.
“Israeli apartheid and occupation — and United States complicity in that oppression — are the source of all this violence,” JVP said in a statement on its website.
SJP called the terrorist strike on Israel “a historic win.”
An analysis by The Post shows how Soros and Gelman’s cash made its way to the students through a network of nonprofits that help obscure their contributions.
Soros has given billions to the Open Society Foundations which his son Alexander — whose partner is Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s top aide and the estranged wife of pervert Anthony Weiner — now controls.
In turn, Open Society has given more than $20 million to the Tides Foundation, a progressive nonprofit “fiscal sponsor” that then sends the cash to smaller groups.
Those groups include A Jewish Voice for Peace, which between 2017 and 2022 has received $650,000 from Soros’ Open Society. Its advisers include the academic Noam Chomsky and the left-wing feminist author Naomi Klein.
JVP has been a prominent part of the protests at Columbia and one of its student members was among a group expelled from the university for inviting the leader of a proscribed terrorist group, Khaled, to the “Resistance 101” Zoom meeting.
Soros has also donated $132,000 to WESPAC, called in full the Westchester People’s Action Coalition Foundation.
The White Plains-based nonprofit was founded in 1974 to rally for civil rights and against the Vietnam War but is now a major funder of anti-Israel groups, including Within Our Lifetime and Students for Justice in Palestine.
SJP has also received funding from the Sparkplug Foundation, a New York-based nonprofit run by Gelman and her husband, Yoram Gelman.
The couple funneled their $20,000 donation to the group through WESPAC in 2022, according to public filings.
Gelman was previously on WESPAC’s committee for Justice and Peace in the Middle East in 2009 when she was invited to Gaza by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, according to the group’s website.
The UN group has been slammed for its support of Hamas .
Gelman is on the board of the Bard Lifetime Learning Institute, an offshoot of the infamously progressive college, as well as the Jenin Freedom Theatre, located in the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank.
WESPAC president Howard Horowitz, a former Orthodox Jew, is a member of the New York chapter of JVP, which says it works for “advocacy and public education for Palestinian human rights.”
Horowitz said he embraced the Palestinian cause after time spent living in Israel, according to a report in the Israel Times.
WESPAC has also given money to Within Our Lifetime, founded by the ubiquitous anti-Israeli protester Nerdeen Kiswani .
Within our Lifetime uses a loophole in the law to avoid declaring how much it receives from donors by not being a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, meaning it is unknown how Kiswani has benefited.
However, WESPAC is named as a fiscal sponsor of Within Our Lifetime.
After The Post published our story, an Open Society Foundations spokesperson said: “For the record, Open Society Foundations has a long history of fighting antisemitism, islamophobia and all forms of racism and hate.
“Open Society has funded a broad spectrum of US groups that have advocated for the rights of Palestinians and Israelis and for peaceful resolution to the conflict in Israel and the OPT.
“This funding is a matter of public record, disclosed on our website, fully compliant with US laws, and is part of our commitment to continuing open debate that is ultimately the only hope for peace in the region.
“The Open Society Foundations proudly support the right of all citizens to peaceful protest — a bedrock principle of our democracy.”
None of the other groups responded to requests by The Post for comment.

Mayor Adams' Statement on Ongoing Protests at Columbia University
April 21, 2024
NEW YORK – New York City Mayor Eric Adams today released the following statement in response to the ongoing protests occurring at Columbia University:
“ I am horrified and disgusted with the antisemitism being spewed at and around the Columbia University campus — like the example of a young woman holding a sign with an arrow pointing to Jewish students stating ‘Al-Qasam’s Next Targets,’ or another where a woman is literally yelling ‘We are Hamas,’ or another where groups of students are chanting ‘We don’t want no Zionists here’ — and I condemn this hate speech in the strongest of terms. Supporting a terrorist organization that aims to kill Jews is sickening and despicable. As I have repeatedly said, hate has no place in our city, and I have instructed the NYPD to investigate any violation of law that is reported. Rest assured, the NYPD will not hesitate to arrest anyone who is found to be breaking the law.
“We will not be a city of lawlessness, and those professional agitators seeking to seize the ongoing conflict in the Middle East to sow chaos and division in our city will not succeed.
“I do, however, want to be abundantly clear: Columbia University is a private institution on private property, which means the NYPD cannot have a presence on campus unless specifically requested by senior university officials. The NYPD has an increased presence of officers situated around the campus to protect students and all New Yorkers on nearby public streets, and they stand ready to respond if another request is made by the university, as they did on Thursday, when the NYPD successfully cleared encampments on Columbia’s South Lawn without any injuries.
“I urge Columbia’s senior administration officials to improve and maintain an open line of communication with the NYPD to ensure the safety of all students and staff on campus, as well as for the safety of all New Yorkers.
“I know the conflict in the Middle East has left many of us grieving and angry. New Yorkers have every right to express their sorrow, but that heartbreak does not give anyone the right to harass or threaten others or to physically harm someone they disagree with.
“As mayor of the city with the largest Jewish community in the world outside of Israel, the pain these protests are causing Jews across the globe is not lost on me, especially as we start Passover tomorrow evening. I also see and hear the pain of those protesting in support of innocent lives being lost in Gaza.
“In this moment of heightened tension around the world, we stand united against hate.”
