Diva Duck: Amphibious Tours in West Palm Beach – A Cool Date!

Having two small kids is super fun. And traveling with kids is probably the best time of my life. However, as any mom (and dad) will tell you, having an adult conversation that uses words that are two or more syllables is a necessity at times. And simply hanging out with my husband is too. That’s why we decided to go on an amphibious tour with Diva Ducks in West Palm Beach , it was amazing, and here’s my full experience.

Since I’m not one for just sitting around the house, and need constant stimulation, I arranged a unique date ‘night’ (really during the day, I still don’t trust anyone to put my baby to bed) for my husband and I.

Diva Duck Amphibious Tour of West Palm Beach!

Talk about different.

Each year we visit my parents in South Florida , but never really took advantage of exploring the areas around their house. This time I went for the full gusto. Starting with a full tour of City Place (downtown West Palm Beach) and Palm Beach waterways .

What You’ll See on the Diva Duck Amphibious Tours:

City Place – The tour starts when we board the Diva Duck to land in City Place.  The main shopping and restaurant area of West Palm Beach. With a drive through the popular Clematis Street .

The Guide – Our Quacky tour guide gave a fun tour and history of the town and the area. She was also great with the duck puns and animated.

Land to Sea – Now the fun starts – dive into the water. Amazingly enough, the transition is super smooth. The only real difference, aside from being in the Ocean, is that we are now moving at around five miles per hour.

Palm Beach – this is considered one of the most expensive zip codes in the US. So, naturally, we took a short cruise checking out some of the waterfront mansions that dot Palm Beach’s coastline. I’m not a big fan of rich people’s houses. Don’t really care for it at all. However, seeing the boardwalk and learning about Palm Beach’s history was interesting with a few oh and ah moments.

My Take On It:

The tour is around 75 minutes long. It was just the right time frame, not too short or too long. It was a great way to spend the time with my hubby – learning something new, out in the fresh air and water.

There were some families on board with me, and I saw that kids were really having a blast with the quacky things the guide was saying. I don’t think it’s too much fun for kids under the age of five, but older than that for sure. So once my baby is old enough, we’ll be coming back for more.

The duck tours in West Palm Beach continued their run Friday despite the news of a boat tour in Missouri sinking in the rough weather conditions, killing 17 people.

Diva Duck is privately owned in West Palm Beach, and said they’re not related to any other duck tour in the country.

People lined up by the dozens on Friday to see the area on the Diva Duck boat tour.

Denise Spirou surprised her mother with tickets to ride the duck tour and wasn’t going to let the recent news stop them from having a good time.

“Eh, it’s not going to happen twice, so we’re good,” Spirou said.

When Larry Levinson and his family first heard the news out of Missouri, they were shocked.

“An alert came on my brother’s phone and we saw about the terrible tragedy,” Levinson said. “It gave us a little pause, but we’re still ready to go.”

The owner of Duck Diva said the captains rely on the Coast Guard to alert them if the water comes too dangerous, while also monitoring storms on their own.

“Our captains and our support staff use a weather radar app before and during each tour to confirm that the weather is suitable for the operation of the vessel to insure the safety of passengers and crew,” Diva Duck said in a statement.

One passenger said they feel Diva Duck “wouldn’t put us out there in harm,” considering what has already happened.

Overall, most people on the boat tour said they felt safe.

“Today’s perfect and we’re more than happy to get on the boat today,” a family from Chicago said.

Tour dates and times vary based on tide levels and weather conditions.

Great Brevard Duck Race is major fundraising event for Crosswinds Youth Services

For nearly 50 years, Crosswinds has been a safety net for young people and families in Brevard County, Florida, who have nowhere else to turn.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Get ready to adopt your lucky ducks for the 26th Annual Great Brevard Duck, which will be virtual and can be seen Live on Space Coast Daily TV.

Viewers can watch some quacky fun live on Space Coast Daily TV on Saturday, May 18, at 3:30 p.m.

The 26th Annual Great Brevard Duck Race will be virtual and this fun event can be seen on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 3:30 p.m., on Spacecoastdaily.com .

The iconic rubber ducks will tumble, splash, and bob their way to win lots of great prizes for their lucky adopters, including the Grand Prize.

All proceeds from the event helps to provide shelter, food, emergency services, counseling and other support to our community’s most vulnerable children and youth.

The rubber duckies will race to the finish line to win great prizes for their adopters. Nine lucky winners will be randomly selected and their names will be announced after the race.

Ducks will be available for adoption until 3 p.m., on race day HERE .

The Great Brevard Duck Race is the major fundraising event for Crosswinds Youth Services and adopting ducks changes lives.

All proceeds from the event help support Crosswinds’ provide shelter, food, emergency services, counseling, and other support to our community’s most vulnerable children in need, especially during times like these.

Crosswinds was able to touch the lives of over 3,000 children, youth, and families for the 2022-2023 fiscal year.
