IRCTC introduces tour package to holy cities of Ayodhya, Varanasi. Details here

Irctc tour package: the total cost of the package will start at ₹ 7560 per person to visit ayodhya and varanasi.

IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) Tourism has come up with seven nights and eight days tour package to Ayodhya, Chitrakoot, Nandigram, Prayag, Shringaverpur, Varanasi which will cover the significant temples and tourist destinations of historical importance. from Pune - Lonavala – Panvel- Kalyan – Nasik- Manmad-Chalisgaon-Jalgoan-Bhushwal,Khandwa,Itarasi. IRCTC informed about this on its official Twitter handle. The total cost of the package will start at   ₹ 7560 per person.

Varanasi Ayodhya and Allahabad Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Varanasi

On reaching Varanasi or Kashi you shall be greeted by our tour representative who will greet you at your place of arrival. You will immediately be checked in to your allotted accommodation here in Varanasi for an overnight stay. The remainder of your day will be free for you to spend it in the way you like i.e. you may even go for a peaceful Ganga Aarti at sunset.

Day 2 : Varanasi Sightseeing

After having your breakfast early in the morning you will be taken for an early morning dip in the holy river Ganga and maybe even opt for a Pind Daan puja ritual as well. After this you will be assisted for a Darshan at the kasha Vishwanath Mandir. If there is some time remaining after this you shall be taken for some additional sightseeing of places like kasha Vishalakshi Temple, Birla Mandir, Sankat Mochan Mandir, Durga Mandir and Tulsi Manas Temple among others. You will be made to head back to your hotel after the complete Darshan and sightseeing for an overnight stay.

Day 3 : Varanasi – Ayodhya

After having your breakfast early in the morning you will be checked out of your hotel in Varanasi and head on to your next destination of Ayodhya. On reaching and after getting checked in here for an overnight stay the remainder of your day will be utilized for complete sightseeing covering places like Sri Ramjanma Bhumi, Dashrath Mahal, Kanak Mahal, Hanuman Garhi Mandir etc.

Day 4 : Ayodhya – Allahabad

After having your breakfast in the morning you shall be duly checked out of your hotel and your transfer to Allahabad will commence. On reaching and after getting checked in to your hotel your full day of sightseeing expedition of the city will begin. This will include a holy dip in Triveni Sangam, visit to holy iconic temples of Patalpuri Mandir and Hanuman Garhi. By afternoon time you will be made to visit places like Khusro Bagh, high court, Allahabad University, cathedral church among others. Day 5 : Allahabad Departure

IRCTC Announces 4 Days 5 Nights Package To Varanasi, Ayodhya & Prayagraj At ₹28,755 Per Person

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation had recently announced travel packages from Mumbai to Kashmir. Now they have rolled out a 4 nights 5 days domestic air package to the Holy Kaashi with Ayodhya Darshan. The tour package begins on December 2 and covers Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Prayagraj. The tour package will start at ₹28,755 and here’s the detailed itinerary of the package. 

Day 1: Kochi-Varanasi

Travel from Kochi to Varanasi and check into the hotel in the afternoon. Attend Ganga Aarti in the evening and stay overnight stay at Varanasi.

Day 2: Varanasi City Tour

Day 3: Varanasi – Allahabad

Leave for Allahabad in the morning and check into the hotel. Afternoon tour of Allahabad will include The Sangam, Allahabad Fort, Patalpuri Temple. Return to the hotel and stay in Allahabad overnight.

IRCTC launches tour package to holy cities of Varanasi, Ayodhya and Prayag

Indian Railways is planning an air tour from Kochi to Varanasi. The tour package includes Varanasi, Ayodhya and Prayag. The domestic air package with Ayodhya Darshan has been announced for four nights / five days. The tour package, which starts on December 2, costs Rs 28,755.

Kochi-Varanasi The first day's journey starts from Kochi to Varanasi. Check into the hotel in the afternoon. In the evening, you can spend the night in Varanasi by participating in the Ganga Aarti. Day 2: Varanasi City Tour After breakfast, go to Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Annapurna Temple. After lunch you can visit Sarnath and spend another night in Varanasi. The very next day, you can leave for Allahabad. Travelers arriving at the hotel in the morning can be a part of the Allahabad Tour which includes exploring the Allahabad Fort and the Patalpuri Temple. That day you will be put up at Allahabad.

Day 4: Allahabad-Ayodhya-Varanasi The next morning, head out to Ayodhya to visit the major attractions of Ayodhya, including Ram Janmabhoomi, Laxman Ghat, Kala Ram Temple and Kanak Bhavan Temple. The journey ends on the fourth day at Varanasi only. On the fifth day, after breakfast, check out of your hotel in Varanasi and return to Kochi.

This package includes three nights hotel stay in Varanasi, breakfast, and dinner, one night stay in Allahabad, breakfast, and dinner. 15 things to do at Varanasi if you are a first-timer Witness evening aarti ceremony: Watching the Evening Aarti Ceremony is certainly once in a lifetime experience. The spectacular event must be viewed from the Dasawamedh Ghat, where beautiful rituals unfold themselves in front of your eyes. Brass lamps of large sizes are used during this event, which is accompanied by chants and crowds of people waiting to pray. Visit at least an hour before the Aarti if you want to gather the experience at its best. At this time, you can witness how five elevated planks are placed at the edge of the steps of the Ghats and brass lamps are cleaned and readied for the occasion. It is also interesting to watch how priests don identical dhotis and kurta for prayer and the Aarti ceremony.

The Aarti ceremony is performed every night and a 45-minute ritual is held for the same. The usual time is 6: 45 in the evening.

Boat Ride in the Ganges River: The holy Ganges lends a spiritual charm to the city. And that’s exactly why you should opt for a boat ride in the Ganges. That is perhaps one of the best things to do in Varanasi. It takes one through different Ghats and former palaces situated close to the banks of the Ganges, giving a panoramic view of this River and the region. Observe the Hindu rituals. The best time to enjoy a boat ride on the Ganges River is the dawn hour as well as the dusk hour. Early morning from 5:30 AM to 8 AM is a good way to see the sunrise and the city engulf you in its charm. A sunset boat ride especially during the aarti is also spectacular.

Tour of the oldest temple : Kashi Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Siva, is one of the most popular and sacred Hindu Temples in the city. It stands on the western bank of the river Ganges. There are altogether 12 Jyotirlingas (Holiest Shiva Temples) in the globe and the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of them. Varanasi was once known as Kashi hence the name of the temple itself was inherited from there. Several visitors pay their tribute to Lord Shiva throughout the year and the place is often known to be extremely crowded. If Varanasi is a hub of temples then Kashi Vishwanath Temple must be the most visited temple of all.

Go to a Bhang Shop: Bhang is a legal preparation of edible cannabis which is available in government shops in several legalized areas, such as Varanasi. While technically illegal on a state level, the government realised the religious importance and significance of this ancient preparation, and as such made it available so no one may be persecuted for their religious beliefs. Be careful though, bhang is not to be taken lightly and will floor you if you’ve never partaken before. It’s prepared as lassi and takes around an hour to hit you, so make sure you’re somewhere familiar and close to where you’re staying when it does.

Take Bath in the Ganges: River Ganges is considered the holiest Hindu River. Legends suggest that taking a dip in the holy waters here will offer salvation of sins and purification of the soul. In fact, the religious texts of Hinduism widely suggest that one should get salvation by bathing in River Ganges to purify all sins accumulated in current or previous births. Taking a dip or bathing in the holy waters of the Ganges is one of the major things to do in Varanasi. The river’s personification is Ganga, the elder sister of Goddess Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva. It is said that Ganga came to earth for giving salvation to 60000 ancestors. She came to earth as a human, but her falling force is said to be so enormous that Lord Shiva had to hold her in his matted hair, and he was the one who ultimately released her in the form of a river. The river, associated with Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh is therefore revered by Hindus. Varanasi has 84 Ghats, and their steps lead to the River Ganges. The Ghats can be accessed easily and used for dipping or taking bath in Ganga. To complement this, travellers are recommended to opt for boat rides, which will help you gain insight into the culture and historical significance of the mystical river.

Divya Kashi Yatra: IRCTC's Luxurious Delhi to Varanasi Tour Package to Start on March 22

The AC first-class fare for this unique Kashi Yatra is Rs. 29950/- per person and AC second class fare is Rs. 24500/- will be per person.

On this 5-day trip, tourists will get to visit the religious places of Kashi.

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has come up with a luxurious and affordable tour package Divya Kashi Yatra for devotees travelling from Delhi to Varanasi.

Dekho Apna Desh Deluxe AC Tourist Train, equipped with modern amenities for this spiritual journey, will be flagged off from Delhi’s Safdarjung station on March 22. On account of increasing demand, the journey will resume on March 28. The booking is currently underway and the fare starts from Rs 24500.

In this 5-day trip, tourists will get to visit religious places of Kashi, the ancient ghats of Uttarvahini Ganga, offering to goddess Ganga during Ganga aarti in the evening, famous Vishwanath temple, Kaal Bhairav temple, Tulsi-Manas Temple, Sankat-Mochan Hanuman Temple, Durga Temple, and Bharat Mata Temple and ancient temples located on the route of world-famous Panchkoshi Yatra of Kashi, Kardameshwar Shiva Temple, Bhimchandi, Rameshwar Shiva Temple, Shivpur and Kapileshwar Temple will also be visited.

In addition, tourists will also be able to visit the Buddhist Stupa in Sarnath and the Craft Museum located at the Commercial Facilitation Center and enjoy the cultural evening.

In the price of this tour package, apart from rail travel, delicious vegetarian food, excursions by air-conditioned vehicles, accommodation in AC hotels, guides, insurance, etc. will also be provided. Government/PSU employees can also avail of LTC facility on this journey as per eligibility based on the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

Pure vegetarian food prepared in the pantry car of the train will be served to the passengers. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, this fully air-conditioned tourist train will have two rail dining restaurants, a modern kitchen car and foot massager for passengers, a mini library, modern and clean toilets, and shower cubicles, in addition to passenger coaches.

Along with this, security guards, electronic lockers, and CCTV cameras will also be available in each coach for security. It will be mandatory for every passenger of 15 years of age and above to have both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine for booking the journey.
